Trabzonspor are still having a serious difficulty in winning matches comfortably. I watched the Umraniyespor match which Trabzonspor wasted tons of opportunities. The player of the match was definitely Serkan Kirintili by the way. He made so many saves and prevented the goal difference from being at least 4 or 5 maybe. Abdullah Avci didn't prefer Maxi Gomez in the second half. He preferred Umut Bozok instead. Actually it was going to be the first league match for both of them so I wonder what was the reason behind. Maybe it was related to Umut's being the top scorer of the league last season.

Galatasaray - Gaziantep can be the most interesting match this week. Gaziantep started solidly by getting 10 points so far but they haven't faced any of the biggest four teams of the league yet. Galatasaray are favoured by bookmakers quite much but I still don't think that they are very trustworthy now. I don't doubt that they will be in control of the match. But the problem is that they can't score goals comfortably. It looks like this can go on like this against Gaziantep also. They still couldn't finish the transfer of Icardi because of waiting for PSG's final decision.

If Okan Buruk doesn't start with Seferovic and prefers Gomis instead then I might give a chance to Galatasaray @1.54.

Alanyaspor is trying hard to turn match but although Başakşehir is clearly better. Alanya is regularly having problems against counter attacks also their shooting ability isn't well (They didn't hit even once with shoots). This is huge problem because only scorer teams can change matches upside down. Candeias is good winger I believe may help them with counter attacks at last minutes but I don't have high hopes.

I wish I had taken advantage of this chance, the odds were so good but then I ended up forgetting to place a bet on this game, with this victory (a very tight victory because they only managed to score 1 goal) Trabzonspor moved up to 4th position, but not convince me that they can be champions this season

Istanbul Basaksehir are winning, I believe that this game can end like that, I very much doubt that Alanyaspor will be able to turn the game around and win, the most they can do would be a draw

Umraniyespor proved that they are difficult team to play against. They took some points from Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor is really struggling to score against them. Trezeguet was able to score for Trabzonspor but still 20 minutes to go so that Trabzonspor can keep their win

I know Umraniyespor is a weak team. But it is difficult to win against these teams. Because when these teams perform against strong teams, their main goal is to share the points. And often we see all 10 players in the team playing the role of defender. Trabzonspor will need to attack a lot if they want to win today's match. Otherwise they will not be able to break Umraniyespor's defense and win the match.

I have mixed feelings about this transfer. He may be a flop or a hit for Fenerbahçe. One thing is for sure, Fenerbahçe got their best striker. Batshuayi is better than any other forward they have. Fenerbahce have finally made a striker transfer. However it is a really bad move I'm afraid. They have reached an agreement with Batshuayi while there are many better options than him. He scored 14 goals in the league while he was playing for Besiktas last season. Maybe this can seem like good statistics but his performance was not that great actually. He is wasting so many goal opportunities. Fenerbahce would have made use of a more credible striker rather than him. Maybe I will turn out to be wrong about him this time but I don't think so. It is very likely for Valencia to keep his place in the starting eleven I think.

Ümraniyespor are new to the league and they haven't won in this league yet. They only got 1 point from Fenerbahçe in the first week of the league and they don't have any other points, they only have 1 point.

Trabzonspor lost a lot of points in the last weeks. They were eliminated from the Champions League. They are also not good in the league. But this week their rivals are weak Ümraniyespor. This match may be an opportunity for them to reverse the bad trend. In addition, new transfers such as Maximiliano Gómez and Yusuf Yazıcı will increase the competition within the team. Besiktas is quite good and renowned team. I will be happy if they fight for the title this season. Several teams look set to fight for the title this season. The performances of Besiktas, Gaziantep, Fenerbahce, Konyaspor and Basaksehir teams are quite good. And these teams look pretty strong this season. So expect this season of Super Lig to be very competitive. We look forward to an exciting and competitive season. f Fenerbahce are able to perform somewhat consistently, they have a high chance of winning the title. Their squad is quite strong.

We are entering 5th week of Turkish Super League with Ümraniyespor-Trabzonspor match today. Trabzonspor is undeniable favourite. Ümraniyespor is left with only 1 point as ther squad is lackluster. I think they will do their best to at least have draw with this match. But I think Trabzonspor's attackers are pretty fine and can score more than 1 goal so quickly. I am guessing end will be like 0-2 for Trabzonspor win.

It is all about consistency for Besiktas. They started nicely to the previous season too. But their results started to be really bad while we were getting close to the end of the first half of the season. There is no guarantee for them not to do this again. But for now I find their performance quite enough for winning most of their matches. Their effectiveness in offense is a big plus for them these days. Muleka was already great at Kasimpasa by 12 goals in 14 matches last season and he continues from where he left. Weghorst is already a striker who has proven his quality before and he is showing his quality here also. Unlike some strikers he chooses to fight for his team.

It is maybe early to talk about the title contenders but Trabzonspor don't give good signals recently. They haven't won a single match for weeks including the Champions League matches. This can be a big hindrance for them to retain the title. They have sold Cornelius and brought Gomez but I'm not sure if this was the right move. After having a quite productive season Cornelius should have been given more chances in the team. If Gomez don't meet the expectations then we are very likely to see a new champion this time I think.

When you look at the squad it's not their best one but there are quality players. The biggest problem is mentality of Valérien Ismaël. He started with three stoppers last season but switched back to four defenders earlier this season. There is still no quality right stopper. We see Necip and other Turkish players there. 8 foreign rule is also a problem because they have to put third player besides Ersin and Salih. When Josef come back things will be thougher. Salih shouldn't see his place as guaranteed. On the front you have to play with four foreign players because you can't bench Weghorst, Muleka/N'Koudou, Ghezzal, Alli. Rıdvan is gone so if Umut Meraş can't get the jersey from Masuaku there is no other way around. Rosier and Saïss are other quality foreigners so you can't replace them besides injury and card penalties.
Kenan Karaman is gone to Schalke 04 and that's good because he was not at Beşiktaş level. Serdar Saatçı is also gone to Braga and we get some money from him. We still need good Turkish players because overall quality is very low. Beşiktaş always play for the championship but let's not call them as the favorite right now.

Last season we saw the reign of Trabzonspor in the Super Lig. Trabzonspor's performance throughout the season was pretty consistent. And at the end of the season, Trabzonspor was 8 points ahead of second-placed Fenerbahce. Despite winning their opening two matches this season, Trabzonspor has dropped points in their last two matches. Their performance has deteriorated. Trabzonspor are not favorites to win the title this season.

Most chances Besiktas could be at top for some more weeks because their next few matches at against weaker teams which will help them for staying at top Fenerbahçe could be fights back, and they could be also tough opponent with Galatasaray is also having very good start of this season even right now nothing is sure about them can they keep this momentum, or they lose their performance in coming days.

Trabzonspor after having good start now losing points very frequently which is going to hurt them in coming weeks Konyaspor and Gaziantep are other teams which are having now defeats in their accounts until now but now in round five we are going to have an interesting match between Gaziantep vs Galatasaray which will give better idea how things could be in the future.

It is a big feint by Trabzonspor to Fenerbahce about the Maxi Gomez transfer. Fenerbahce board were so slow to sign a deal with him. While they were wasting their time Trabzonspor sold Cornelius to FC Copenhagen and reached an agreement with Gomez in a very short time after that. It is a 3 million euro deal for Trabzonspor to be paid by instalments.

After hearing about this I started to think whether Fenerbahce will return to Icardi again. It is said that Galatasaray have already reached an agreement with him and they are just waiting for PSG to confirm the transfer. Maybe Fenerbahce might go for a last-minute move to heat up things.

Beşiktaş is one of the teams playing the best quality football in the league so far. We can already see this when we look at the scoreboard, they are the leader of the league at the moment.
I don't know if this situation will continue, usually the referees can make wrong decisions for Beşiktaş to lose points. They've been having problems in almost every game for the past few years. Despite this, they perform well enough to become champions

Will we see Besiktas reign again this season? Besiktas had a great performance in the 2020-21 season. And they won the title. Their performances were quite consistent throughout the season.
