Icardi doesn't look like a good transfer to me at all. Cavani is looking for teams to go and Spanish league could be the destination but if offered a lot of money then he could come to Turkey. In any case, Icardi would be a good "enough" help to any team in Turkish league, he is not an ideal candidate because I disagree on the retirement thing plus there is too much "everyone stays on defense" by the smaller clubs which Icardi is not the player that can break it.

You need players that are much much more stronger, that is why Gomis still looks better even though GS got Seferovic, normally on paper Seferovic looks better, but players with the type Gomis has, gets a lot more goals because you need strong players at striker to go beyond those defenders and bully them, not "smart" players.

Galatasaray can even collect the same points with Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce despite not being able to score many goals. However it is too hard to maintain a good form like this for Galatasaray anyway. It is still very clear that the new transfers for the attacking side aren't good enough and they still need a better striker. Seferovic is such a waste of money for the team now. His performance was incredible poor against Trabzonspor. It seemed like he wasn't caring about giving his best for the team. Rather than keeping him here it is better to sell him quickly and use the money from it for a better transfer.

There is still one week to go for the end of the transfer window. I think it is enough for Galatasaray to sign a credible striker. Only striker they have been interested in lately is Icardi and it looks like they will complete this transfer successfully soon.
Everyone watching Galatasaray matches will realize that's mainly because of luck with Galatasaray. Its deniable truth that Gomis is good striker although he physically is not good enough so its lucky that he enters a game and quickly scores a goal for couple matches. I think Galatasaray may need creative attacking midfielder more than it needs a striker because watching Galatasaray building up showed me they lack skills.

Can this be Besiktas' year?

I know that it is still the early phases of the season now. But they seem different compared to the previous season. New transfers are already being very beneficial for the team. I especially mean Muleka and Weghorst considering the recent performances. Muleka scored 3 goals in 3 games and Weghorst have 2 goals in 4 games. They have a much stronger attacking line currently. They just conceded 5 goals in their last 3 league games which can be seen as bad. However 3 of these goals came in the game they played with 10 players for a long time. They haven't faced a more serious challenge yet also of course. If they show this dedicated performance in the derby games too then this might really be their year.
It is possible but too early to be sure about it. I was doubtful with Weghorst although I think he get used to Turkish league. Dele Alli is great transfer, way above Turkish league in talent. But I keep saying that Fenerbahçe attackers are also awesome this year. They have explosive team like Beşiktaş. What determines Turkish league champion is not better squads but consistent/stable ones. Matches against Anatolian teams are as important as İstanbul derbies.

Well everyone expected that Fenerbahce would win this match but that stupid red card destroyed them but even after that the other team received the red card. But Konyaspor was able to score and take the points.  Fenerbahce again cannot win games in a row

Not everyone expected Fenerbahçe to win. Those who know how strong a team Konyaspor is at home, welcomed this victory as normal. Even though there was no red card, Konyaspor would have won this match. When Konyaspor scored, both teams were ten players, the red card had no effect on the result. Konyaspor deservedly won the game at home and got three points. Fenerbahçe failed to score for the first time in the league. It may come as a surprise to you that they didn't score in this match after scoring 11 goals in three games. In general, the matches played with Konyaspor have always been difficult. I don't understand why this result is surprising to you.
Fenerbahce have 13 goals in their three games so far in the Super Lig and in the fourth match Fenerbahce couldn't score, with such high goal aggressiveness I think there will always be people who are surprised by this result. Indeed, if we consider their head to head results in fact Fenerbahce are not so dominant to win when playing against Konyaspor. But because Fenerbahce are so far the only team to have that many goals, then when Fenerbahce play and then don't have a goal then it becomes something that makes him strange.

I think Beşiktaş can win the title in the 2022-2023 season, although it is still too early to predict the title because it is only the beginning of the season. but Beşiktaş have signed the famous midfielder Dele Alli, he has quality. he just arrived and showed his quality in the first game. Let him play 3-4 games, then see the real Dele Alli. Open beiktaş champion this year.

Valencia deserved have got red card at Adanademirspor's match but the referee didn't see. I really didn't understand how things are still going on the same in the Turkish Super League even though there is the VAR(video assistant referee) system. Valencia kicked the player again this match. This time, the referee saw it and made the right decision. I was really surprised.
Valencia really deserved it if they hadn't been kicked out so early. Fenerbahce could have had the upper hand, because they were excluded from the game so early, it put the team in a difficult position and they lost three points. Even though Jesus used all his right to change later, he could not direct the game as he wanted. When you look at it, Fenerbahce had returned from difficult matches. Wien, Adanademir Spor, as I said, this red card was a little prominent.

Valencia put the team in a difficult position and they lost three points. Valenci's move was quite brutal. It's ridiculous to be angry with the referee for making the right decision. Instead of getting angry with the referee, we should be angry with Valencia. However unfortunately, the fans in our country are very interesting.

Trabzonspor are planning a move to sign Mauro Icardi from PSG. As they are likely to sell Cornelius to FC Copenhagen they are in search of a new striker. They wanted to direct their route to Icardi but it looks like Icardi isn't leaning towards joining them even though they are in the Europa League while Galatasaray aren't in any European tournament this season. It must be because of Galatasaray's being a bigger team when we take their history into account. If he doesn't get any offer from other European teams in bigger leagues then he is still likely to sign for Galatasaray.

Galatasaray are in desperate need of a striker so Icardi might be the solution they have been searching for. They just need to get rid of Seferovic as soon as possible also.  Grin

Icardi doesn't seem like an impossible transfer right now. He used to be one of those players that would be impossible to get into Turkish League, but he is moving out of that European levels with age, so I am assuming the best thing to do about him would be getting him at least get paid close levels once again.

Trabzon could offer what smaller European teams could offer, or they could at the very least offer what any other nation in the world could offer with a chance to play in UCL for a while longer, plus guarantee a chance to play each game he can. He is also a very hard working player, so I doubt that he would just get there to rest or retire like Falcao did.

I honestly thought that Fenerbahçe wouldn't lose any points. But there was a strange reluctance and spoiledness in the team. I mean, they went into the game with the mentality that we'd win anyway. This led to indiscipline and defeat. But that doesn't mean the referee should have shown a straight red card.Interesting that he showed a straight red card with his back turned. Especially when the first instigator was a player from the opposing team but "var" didn't come into play.

Trabzonspor keeps playing well this season but I don't see anything extraordinary. I also feel like they may really not hit championship title even though they are counted within candidates. On the other hand Galatasaray is just playing like meh at best. Galatasaray's all matches showed to me that team is still at phase of getting used to. There are pass mistakes, cross mistakes etc. They should fix all these before.

Trabzonspor is now seventh in the points table with 7 points from 4 matches. However, Trabzonspor has been defeated in only one of the 4 matches. But I am not satisfied with their performance. Still, their performance is not good. Both their match tactics and gameplay in previous seasons were outstanding. But their gameplay has been poor this season. They managed to score only 5 goals in 4 matches. The performance of Besiktas, Gaziantep and Fenerbahce is much better than that of Trabzonspor. I guess we won't see Trabzonspor in the top 3 of the points table this season.

Trabzon hosted Galatasaray in the first derby of the season. The match was pretty even, but despite being away, Galatasaray had more chances to score than Trabzon. But the match ended in a 0-0 draw, just as it started.
Today there are important matches for the leadership. On the one hand Konya-Fenerbahçe and on the other Beşiktaş-Sivasspor.
Fenerbahçe has the power to take the wind behind its back if it wins this match. Because Konyaspor have not conceded a goal in their first 3 games.
I still think that as long as Trabzon is not favored by the refs, they are not going to end up winning anything. They won't be champions for sure, last year's championship was mainly because of political reasons. This year it looks like they are not getting favored calls from refs, hence why they are not as great as last year.

Galatasaray on the other hand looks like they have trouble at the finishing part. They play great until they need to score, and at the very last second when they should be scoring, they end up missing their shots. If they can get a great scorer, like a pure striker who aims at scoring alone, they could become a real threat for sure.

Latest news show that Trabzonspor sold Andreas Cornelius to FC Copenhagen for 6 million Euro. I don't know why they give up on him so easily, he was their best player. They think about replacing him with Cedric Bakambu, that would be okay but Cornelius already proved himself there. It looks like he wants to go, if that's the case I have no words. He can play in Champions League with FC Copenhagen.
Transfer season will finish in September 8 in Türkiye so clubs have an extra week. In that timeframe they look out for opportunity transfers. I'm sure many opportunities will come, as we saw last season we can watch big stars in Turkish League again.

The referee literally ended Fenerbahce by a horrible decision. Valencia shouldn't have got that red card there. The referee didn't even see the incident properly but he quickly showed a red card to him. I really don't understand how things are still going on the same in the Super League even though there is the VAR system. The conditions were balanced after Konyaspor also got a red card. But they still managed to beat Fenerbahce 1-0 by a header. Ikpeazu was very impressive in this match honestly. Fenerbahce defense had a really hard time defending him. He was nearly scoring a goal in the last minute if his shot didn't bounce off the goal post.

I think the federation should find a solution to these simple referee mistakes otherwise this league will never be more qualified than this.
This is nothing new as we have many times decisions like these from referees in many leagues here now they need to work with technology for better settlements because as now we are heading with technology this can bring much better solutions and soccer federations need to act things like this as soon as possible.

Fenerbahçe surely now feeling bad, and they have right to protest about this as well because with this defeat now they are at fifth place and lost crucial points Konyaspor also have red card, but they were at home and have done better job with win this match and have all three points which give them four spot in league table.

Use of VAR is now essential for better results and having better reputation of all federations now time to bring change within system which help leagues for having better results.
