I think Galatasaray will definitely stay in the groups. The teams they played in the qualifiers are not as strong as Galatasaray. Also, Icardi and Zaha have been drafted and will play in the European matches. Players who add great strength to Galatasaray. We remember that important teams from the Turkish league were at UCL in the past. We want this success to continue.

I think so too. Galatasaray don't even need to show their best performance ever against this kind of teams. A decent performance level with high concentration should be enough for them to reach their main goal in the Champions League. After qualifying for the group stage they will just hope to have a little lucky draw to push even harder.

Galatasaray have a really good history in the Champions League back in the day. Why wouldn't we see another example?   Smiley

But after this round which is the last one before the group stage they are likely to face a much stronger team. Until then they had better get ready. Otherwise it would be sad to see them saying goodbye early with a strong squad like this.

In the last round before the group stage we will be seeded again and we will face teams that are weaker than us, but I'm worried about our current performance.

The draw will take place today and we will play the winner of one of these matches in the next round.

Antwerp
Rakow - Aris
Molde - Klaksvik
Slovan Bratislava - Maccabi Haifa

If we eliminate Lublijana, we will have to eliminate one more of these teams to qualify for the Champions League.

Today was the draw for the UEFA Champions League. If Galatasaray eliminate Lublijana, Galatasaray will face the winner of Klaksvíkar Ítróttarfelag - Molde FK in the UEFA Champions League play-off round. If Galatasaray is eliminated by Lublijana, they will face the winner of Qarabağ vs HJK Helsinki in the UEFA Europa League play-off round.

If Galatasaray has a good performance, they can easily go to the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. If Galatasaray's performance is bad like against Zlagris, they cannot go to the UEFA Europa League groups.

These are like too easy opponents for Galatasaray again. Only Maccabi Haifa might be a little tougher considering their latest Champions League group stage performance. But I think the other ones are all teams that Galatasaray can eliminate a little easier. I don't think Molde and Antwerp are playing as good as in the past now.

I was waiting for much bigger opponents than these too. I guess that this is due to being a seeded team. Otherwise there is no way they are facing this kind of opponents. This is a really good thing for Galatasaray so they had better take advantage of it and qualify for the group stage.

The league will be difficult for Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Adana Demirspor in the first weeks because these teams have European qualifying matches.
There may be points losses in the league, it's okay for me if they don't get eliminated from Europe.

I don't think there will be any loss of points, but if they do, it's normal. Qualifying to groups in European cups is very important for all our teams, and if points are to be lost in the league for this, I would say that's okay. All our representatives in Europe must be successful and bring more coefficient points. Turkish clubs should be in better places. They shouldn't just focus on the league title.
The teams who compete in Europe should definitely advance and bring Turkey to a better place but the points in the league are also crucial. We have seen the last season second half, all of the big teams performed particularly good and had so much points. I expect it to continue. Even Beşiktaş, who got behind in the transfer race, will probably perform good in the league and get a lot of points. So, for the race of the championship, any points in the beginning of the season is also crucial. This doesn't mean that they should not perform 100% in the european games. That is just the way it is. They should get full wins from european games and try not to lose any points from the Super League. Especially Galatasaray and Fenerbahce were so success-drunk from the transfers, let's see how good they can perform in this period. Any game or point lose for them is huge failure.

I am pretty sure couple of them will be eliminated in play offs because their opponents will be much better and stronger. Turkish clubs are sadly suffering through inflation which is burning our country.. They can't sign with bigger names anymore because finances can't help them too. I feel like Galatasaray especially may quickly be eliminated because I didn't like their performance at all. Players don't seem ready for anything.

I agree with one thing that Galatasaray's performance has been really inconsistent so far. They risked their chance to move on in the qualifiers.

However I don't think they would still be eliminated too easy. Especially for this round I don't have such expectation. Ljubljana may be a little better team than Zalgiris but they are also much weaker than Galatasaray. It is like Galatasaray need to make an extra effort to be eliminated in this round.

It is much more important for them to be successful in European matches. We wouldn't be too upset if they don't win league games but it would be sad if they lose important matches. Already in the first weeks of the league, the teams can lose points because they are not used to each other yet, and the league is not given enough importance.
For years, the leading teams in the first weeks are the teams in Anatolia, the standings change in the following months and the big teams take the lead Smiley

In general, the teams playing in the Super League cannot show their full performance until the 10th week. This is due to both the adaptation process of the players who have just joined the teams, and the fact that they pay more attention to European matches. At the moment, every win in European cups is very important in terms of country points. That's why the Super League may be in the background.

All 4 teams that went to the European cups got good results and they continue on their way. The Super League will start this week and I think the loss of points in the first week will not be a surprise. Football players may not get used to the intense tempo at once.

All of the Turkish teams are enjoying great performances so far in European qualifiers mainly also because they have been very lucky with the draw playing against teams that come from very poor countries when we compare the value of a Turkish team in million Euros and that of those countries where all the team cannot make to 1 million Euros, finances play a great role in football as we know.I think chances are high to see all of the Turkish team in the group stages of the European competitions this year although Besiktas clearly has claimed that their only objective is the Turkish Super League this year and they don't care much what happens in European qualifiers,so far they have qualified easily though.

I agree with you on this. Galatasaray are really bad and they are not ready for the new season at all. Okan Buruk must prepare the team for the new season as soon as possible, otherwise the results will be bad.

They shouldn't just focus on the League. Europe League is very important to us, we have to win every game right now. Because next year we can directly participate in the European League.

Ndombele and Krunic are the most recent speculations for Fenerbahçe midfield now.

Ndombele would cost much more than Krunic though. Because Ndombele's value is a little more than two times Krunic's value in the market now. Both of them have 2 more years left on their contracts. Ndombele transfer might cost them very much if Tottenham don't go down highly for his asking price. He has been playing on loan for two years in fact. Maybe loan option would also be sensible for Fenerbahçe.

It will of course be a tough time for the teams that will compete in the European cups. They will play almost 3 games a week and this will not be a problem for those with a wide rotation. Fenerbahce seems to be the team with the most players among them. A win in the first few weeks will motivate the team and make them want to play more games. Even though the European Cups are tiring and stressful, draws and wins are expected to give the team strength and morale. Therefore, the results are also important for the league.

There are still matches in European competitions before the first week in the Super League starts. Considering the current fixtures Fenerbahçe and Adana Demirspor have the least number of days to rest after their Conference League first leg matches. Because only 3 days after the matches they are facing their first opponents in the Super League. There is a little more space for Galatasaray and Beşiktaş now. I wonder if this will affect Fenerbahçe - Adana Demirspor duo negatively in the league matches.

The players would be quite tired and there might be a need of some rotation. The coaches will have to make good choices.

finally the games of the new season are already starting, I can see that the first games will be very complicated to predict the result, with Trabzonspor having to play against Antalyaspor AS, for now the only data I can use to measure which of the two teams has the best chances of winning are the data from the friendly matches which are not good data for comparisons, but what I have, Trabzonspor chose to play against strange teams, so they won most of the games and even scored a lot of goals, honestly I keep wondering if they deliberately played against strange teams so they wouldn't lose, well, it's not a good strategy, but their coach knows what he's doing

while Antalyaspor chose to play against teams from Turkey and only managed 2 wins, as I said this is a very complicated case of predicting the result, so I won't bet anything. another game will be Galatasaray, which comes from champions league games, that is Galatasaray has been playing seriously, they have more preparation than their opponent and I see that also in terms of squad they are better, and also there is the fact that Kayserispor didn't do very well in the friendly games, and in the last 2 games they had a draw and a defeat, honestly I see Galatasaray leaving with a victory

but the problem is that Galatasaray will have a champions league game 3 days later, it is possible that the coach chooses not to put all the best players in the game against Kayserispor, maybe that is the reason why the bookmakers are giving odds of @ 1.64 in case Galatasaray wins, because looking in terms of priorities moving to other stages of the champions league will give Galatasaray more money and also being that these are the first games, even if they lost or drew they could still recover over time , I believe that the coach will not play at full strength against Kayserispor

The sale of Haji Wright is a very important thing indeed. Finally, Antalyaspor has become a club that can sell players abroad at high prices. Wright, who is very successful in the Turkish league, will adapt quickly to Coventry City and score goals. I believe he is a Championship League quality player. In fact, if Coventry City can make it to the Premier League, he can do well there. There was a 20% share from the next sale within the agreement clauses. Maybe he will be transferred to a bigger team and Antalyaspor will earn extra money from there.

Haji was definitely a good striker without a doubt. Plus he is definitely more than enough for a championship level team as well without a doubt. According to transfermarkt the whole Conventry City team worths 50 million, imagine how much better he is than most players there and he will be a great striker for them without a doubt. He has provided a lot of goals for the club while he was there, and he will be scoring a lot more at championship for sure. I am not sure if that %20 would mean something, if its "profit from the sale" type of deal then its not going to be much, I can't see him going more than 10 million, at most 15 million, and the profit part and %20 of the profit won't be that huge. But the 9 million they got is definitely a big number for Antalya without a doubt.
He was one of the best strikers in the league. Because Wright is a different player. I think wright is underestimated on social media because he played for antalya and his specialness is overlooked. It's not easy to find such a tall and strong player who is not heavy with and without the ball and has good ball control and dribbling. He's not a bad finisher either. The number of goals he has scored for a team like antalyaspor since his arrival is obviously good. The money is also too good for a team like Antalyaspor. They did a great job. They can good transfers this season or at least next season.
