Galatasaray have largely agreed with Icardi. I think this transfer is considered over and there will be no problems after that. But we need to make another transfer instead of Gomis. According to media reports, it is said that Cedric Bakambu will be transferred instead of Gomis. Galatasaray can announce this transfer as soon as Al-Nasr terminates Cedric Bakambu's contract. Cedric Bakambu previously played in Türkiye. He transferred from Türkiye to Villareal. After that short European adventure, he transferred to China and then to Arab teams from China. He did not play in the competitive leagues for a long time. This is a big handicap. But fortunately we want to sign him as Icardi's backup.
PSG has given its blessing to Mauro Icardi to move permanently to Galatasary in this transfer window, Icardi managed to help Galatasaray win the Turkish Super League trophy last season. The statistics show good numbers by scoring 16 goals in 22 matches in all competitions, the result is that the Galatasaray management are increasingly convinced to retain Icardi by making his contract permanent from PSG.

I think returning to PSG is also not the right choice for him because he has to compete with Mbappe and Neymar in the main striker position. It is difficult to shift these two names, especially as Luis Enrique will choose to make Icardi a cover for Neymar and Mbappe. If it can be consistent with its current performance, it is likely that Icardi will get a place and be called up again to strengthen the Argentina National Team at the Copa America in June 2024.

Sebastian Szymanski is another arrival who came to Fenerbahçe 5 days ago. I didn't know about this transfer as I don't see his name on the news of websites that I follow closely. And it looks like Fenerbahçe paid 9.75m euros for his transfer fee as well. He is an attacking midfielder and I assume he has been brought to fill Arda's place in the team.

Szymanski was loaned to Feyenoord last season and he had stats like 10 goals, 7 assists in 40 matches. He is 24 years old as well which is a positive thing for Fenerbahçe recently. Because they have been focused on bringing old players mostly. I hope Szymanski can make the attacking line more deadly.

Ali Koç had to make radical decisions and spend a little bit of money and we can say that he has finally started to do this. The addition of such star and experienced players can be shown as important steps towards the championship, but I don't think these transfers will be enough.Tadic has played as a player who scored a lot of goals and assists during his seasons at Ajax.He will be a great contribution to Fenerbahçe.He will most likely be a winger, but I'm not sure.Tadic will wear the number 10 jersey at Fenerbahçe and this can be seen as an indicator that he can actually play behind the striker.

Tadic is naturally a left winger but he can play as a striker as well if there is such need. When Dzeko isn't able to play maybe Ismail Kartal can try Tadic as centre-forward as well. It depends on Umut's benefiting from the chances he finds in matches as well of course. I would like to see Tadic playing in his natural position as he can be more productive to the team there. He can still make a significant contribution with many goals and assists as he has been just like that in the recent times.

I also see his being old as a doubtful thing about him but it is up to his continuing to be ambitious after coming here.
If he thinks of playing Tadic as a winger, he will have to play a Turkish player in the future.Otherwise he can overcome the rule of 3 local players according to the current formation.Ismail Kartalal has a lot of foreign players and I wonder what kind of squad planning he will do.3 Turkish players should be in the starting 11 and it is a matter of curiosity who he will preferably choose.I have Ferdi,Ismail and Emre Mor/Serdar Aziz in my mind.Otherwise there may be problems in terms of rotation. If Livakovic does not come, Berke will go in goal anyway.
Tadic may be old but I think his experience is more than enough for the league. We can say that he scored a lot of goals and assists during his time at Ajax every season.

Trabzonspor announced that Dorukhan Toköz's contract has been terminated. This Dorukhan, 27 years old, is now clubless when he should have played in his prime. We saw how unstable he was when he left Beşiktaş.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe will pay Dusan Tadic 4.2 million Euro per year. Beşiktaş would never have paid such a salary. He wouldn't even get half of that. Fenerbahçe again spent too much money for nothing. Paying 8.5 million Euro to a 35-year-old player for 2 seasons is nothing but really turning the team into a nursing home together with 38-year-old Dzeko. If their costs were low, they would be understandable transfers, but as it stands, it creates a financial burden on the club.
I agree completely. I honestly even think Fenerbahce is going crazy. The president must be so sick of all the criticism and being unsuccessful for a long time, he is doing some weird stuff. Ok, they practically stole Tadic from Besiktas's hands, but with this amount of money, at his age, is it really worth it? Fenerbahce might be champions this season after such a long time, but still we can't say they establish a proper system that could be sustainable for years. With Dzeko and Tadic, they will probably stop performing properly in the middle of their contracts. Still, if they have money that they can spend, from president's pockets, they should spend and be champions.

We are gonna see this year finally a good performance of the turkish teams on european competitions? No matter where, Champions, Europa League, Conference. I think Turkish team its one of the most underperformer teams , we ever see portuguese and netherlands teams performer really well, and i think Turkish teams can make something like that.
Turkish teams usually make simple mistakes in European matches and cannot go as far as to be champions. In fact, not bad squads have been formed in recent years, but we did not see the performance we expected. I think they will be better this year, good transfers are made and the quality of football will definitely increase Smiley
Lack of funds and quality players are the biggest issues here for the years with not big investments are coming which bring good players, and sadly we have no strong academy's system as well which helps them for having youngsters which bring good money for them like we have in Portugal and Netherlands now it's time to bring changes and having investment for the future which increase quality of this league which is surely needed of time because without investment things never been change, and we can't complain about this as well.

Even we have good results in last few years with few quality players are joining here and giving their best, but we need more players which helps this league and also bring more youngsters from grass-root as well right now having the good number of youngsters is also good way of having money.

Fenerbahce have made another very important transfer and announced the signing of Dusan Tadic from Ajax.So we can say that their attacking players are made up of experienced footballers.I didn't expect this transfer to happen, but the fact that this transfer happened is Ali Koc's success. We can say that he is a close friend of Ali Koç and he is also the agent of tadic and this is the transfer of a star player to the team.If Fenerbahçe adds Livakovic to its squad, we can congratulate Ali Koç with these transfers, but we will see when the league starts whether these transfers will be enough or not.We cannot say that the team played very well in the preparation matches.

Finally Ali Koç started to sign better players. Because it could have been another problematic season for Fenerbahçe. Of course there is no guarantee right now either. But at least İsmail Kartal will have a squad that has a better skillset than before. Tadic is still a really decent versatile player who scored 11 goals and made 18 assists in the Eredivisie last season.

He can play as centre-forward and left or right winger as well. He is like a joker for Fenerbahçe now. It is true that he has got quite old - 34. However at least he is a player who can still play impressively at this age. With Livakovic and Tadic both Fenerbahçe defense and offense can be secured more.

I think Turkish team its one of the most underperformer teams , we ever see portuguese and netherlands teams performer really well, and i think Turkish teams can make something like that.

I find it very difficult to see Turkish teams reaching far in European competitions, because currently Turkish teams have aroused little interest from good young players, what has happened is that when players are already old and are almost retiring they will play in Turkey, with that the squad of the Turkish teams is very weak, I don't know how the soccer laws are in turkey, but it is a fact that soccer in turkey is stopped in time in relation to the leagues of many european countries, just see that nani has 36 years old and going to play for adana, does that mean that nani is going to retire

when nani was at the peak of his professional career he was playing for manchester united and i doubt very much if he would have accepted at that time to leave manchester united to go play for adana, there were many good players from good teams in that transfer window, but not me I heard some great Turkish team spending millions of dollars to sign some great young player, it's very strange that Turkish teams are so financially constrained to the point where they have to settle for players at the end of their career, or players looking for retirement. Turkey is a very developed country, so I don't see why Turkish teams are in this situation.

Well in fact i see that as main problem with turkish league/teams, i see like most of the players who ended up in Turkey they go to make something like his retirement or to have some "holidays" , and also to play without lose some level waiting from a next transfer window o to return after a loan. In resume i see like they dont play at full gas, and this its a big problem.

I agree that signing mostly old players can have a negative side for Fenerbahce this season. First of all these are all quality players of course. These are players who can make a big impact on a match and change its direction also. On the other hand Fenerbahce will need to set the best level of tempo for these players. Because I don't think high tempo would suit either Dzeko or Tadic.

Ismail Kartal will have an important task to determine the best game plan for this team. Fenerbahce can't become champions since the 2013/14 season. He will be their new hope to finally make this happen. The contract lasts for only one year though so he will probably get sacked if he can't do this.

Dusan Tadic's transfer to Fenerbahçe was very strange. It was known that Beşiktaş was seriously interested in Tadic, but the player was suddenly transferred to Fenerbahçe. Likewise, Halil Dervişoğlu was going to be transferred to Beşiktaş, but he was transferred to Galatasaray at the last moment. We can say that Beşiktaş have been a bit slow and unsuccessful in transfer this season. Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray are able to gain an advantage against Beşiktaş by making more determined moves. Of course, the most important reason for this is the economic financial conditions. Beşiktaş are weaker than Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe in this regard.

Ali Koç is transferring important players such as Tadic and Dzeko to the team, but we should not forget that one of these players, Dzeko is 37 years old, the other one, Tadic, is 34 years old. The average age of the Fenerbahçe team is really high. This team may not be able to handle fast paced play. I am very curious what kind of tactics İsmail Kartal will try with this squad. But no matter what, it would not be wrong to say that they created a better squad than the previous season. Dzeko reached the final of the Champions League last season. Tadic has had great statistics every year in the Dutch League. Fenerbahçe will definitely receive positive feedback from these transfers.
Your post summarizes average Fenerbahçe experience in later years: Terrible management, bad managers, old players (called experienced) as saviours. I do not think Fenerbahçe is building better squad than last year. Its sort as mediocre as last year. Only thing Fenerbahçe does right is to search and find future Turkish young talents in lower leagues or european clubs. Those are selling well and generating money to Fenerbahçe. But administration is still awkward wasting so much money they have and still unsuccessful.

As a galatasaray fan, I have to say all these big names Fener is getting is wild. The trouble is that we also have a pretty big name as well and a great squad. I have to say this year could be the biggest Fenerbahce vs Galatasaray battle we have seen in many years. It is obvious that we wont see that easily because for a long time either they were better or we were better and eventually one of us won. This year it looks like we are going to see both of them be a lot better than anyone else. It will surely be very very entertaining without a doubt, definitely something we should all consider and be happy about, seeing great footbal played is a great thing nı matter whose fan you are.

It is great to see all these good players flowing to Fenerbahce which will make the team stronger. In fact I think that many bettors were missing out by not betting on these teams when playing outside their home, the odds of 1.6 to 1.9 are great ones to bet on and to get as winners most of the time.I know that sometimes these teams will lose as this is unwritten law of football that even a super strong team when playing against a much weaker team can lose sometimes, they say that the ball is round to justify this statement which I fully agree with.

As long as there is a battle between the top teams in Turkey is great for the fans but I would love to also see Besiktas to fight hard,so we would have a trio fighting for the title.

I'm watching the friendly match between Galatasaray and FK Austria Wien right now.. Galatasaray's starting XI against FK Austria Wien: Muslera, Boey, Nelsson, Abdülkerim, Kazımcan, Berkan, Midtsjö, Yunus, Yusuf, Kerem, Barış Alper. Also FK Austria Wien's starting XI against Galatasaray: Kos, Galvao, Holland, Potzmann, Tabakovic, Ranftl, Fischer, Fitz, Handl, Martins, Jukic.

SUBS: Batuhan, Dubois, Kaan, Emin, Ali Turap, Metehan, Mertens, Emre, Caner, Özgür Baran, Moruţan, Hamza, Baran

Galatasaray's next match will be played on Tuesday, July 18 with Strum Graz.

Live on: GSTV and GSYoutube Channel

It looks like there will be a change of all the players too later maybe early in the second half, because usually teams play in events like this just to test and also keep their physical and mental well maintained. So yes, matches like this are basically quite important too to stabilize players but if to place it or include it in the bet for me it's not right. Thus, winning or losing is no longer a target, even though Galatasaray won the title last season it still won't guarantee Galatasaray will win in a match like this.

You are right. Galatasaray drew 1-1 Austria Wien. Barış Alper Yılmaz scored a goal with Berkan Kutlu's assist. In addition to, Galatasaray played a friendly match with Csakvari yesterday. Galatasaray won this match 4-2. Olimpiu Morutan scored a goal with Ali Turap Bülbül's assist. Also Kaan Ayhan one, Nicolo Zaniolo two scored. We watched Angelino for the first time with Galatasaray jersey.

I think the Conference League coming is good in that respect. Turkish clubs can reach the semi-finals in this cup. The Europa League competition was very tough, the Conference League is a little easier. Beşiktaş will play in the Conference League for the first time. I think they will achieve a good result. With a little luck, they can go to higher stages. Fenerbahçe will also be assertive in this cup. It's not yet clear where Galatasaray will play. If they can't make it to the Champions League, they will be assertive with their squad quality in the Europa League. Competition in the Champions League remains at a very high standard for all Turkish teams.
In my opinion, at least 1 team should play quarter-finals every season in Europe. 3 big Turkish clubs have to be more assertive in this race. Unless they play more games in these cups they don't get their money's worth.
