Yes, this match was hard for Besiktas. And they got the red card in the 30th minute, So they had to play almost an hour with having one man less. But still, they were able to perform pretty well until the second goal was scored by Galatasaray. If not for that penalty on the 82nd minute, I think they could have walked away with one point from this match. But it would still have been pretty hard because Galatasaray was really on fire in this match. They were launching attack one after another. Only if Besiktas could hold on for another 10 minutes, they could have walked away with one point from this match.

Well Bayern Munchen is not Besiktash so you should not get your hopes high for a good performance although I think Galatasaray so far has impressed everyone in the Champions League.It will be a difficult encounter just a couple of days from now and I don't know what to think about it,a draw would be an awesome result for Galatasaray no matter that they play at home they are playing against one of the best teams of Europe.

As for the Turkish Superlig they are doing great and it appears no team is able to stand in their way,I think this will be until the end of this season as I don't see any power from Besiktash which was beaten today and the same from Fenerbahce.

I think manager change benefits Beşiktaş a lot. Şenol Güneş had a bit of outdated strategy for football of 2020s. Burak Yılmaz managing team is not bad idea as we have similar formula with Nuri Şahin and Antalyaspor and it sort of works. Newbie managers tend to be lot more fair to hardworking football players. In modern football physical is lot more important than technique as most of teams play match as its endless adventure. (Especially premier league teams have high tempo). I think Beşiktaş will soon get lot better than yesterday.

Icardi's performance wasn't surprising as usual. He made a critical contribution to Galatasaray with 2 goals. He was in quite many goal chances as well. He is really the key player for Galatasaray this season as he has scored the half of their goals in number so far. It was quite a one-sided match most of the time.

Besiktas were just focused on benefiting from their numbered goal chances and they were quite good at it. Rosier did his best and he was nearly scoring the equalizer if he didn't miss the ball by a small margin. The referee's decisions are also going to be discussed a lot as it seems. Grin

Some believe those decisions were right while some say the opposite.

Yeah it is a big day as we are going to have a lovely derby game. Galatasaray are highly favoured side to be victorious. Their odds are still good enough to bet on even as a single bet. While things aren't going well at all for Besiktas it is going to be a really challenging game for them. They are playing one of the most difficult fixtures in the end. I also expect Icardi to score and Galatasaray should be winning home.

I have heard the news that Besiktas chairman offered a special bonus to the players if they win this game. But even this wouldn't be enough for Besiktas to win here in my opinion.

The league match that's gonna be played between Besiktas and their neighbors Galatasaray is surely gonna be a very interesting match for neutrals but surely gonna be a nervous one for fans of the two clubs as the two teams in question are very much in good shape.
It is a derby take and players of both clubs knows exactly what it means for local fans of both clubs as a win for any of them will automatically give the fans of the winning team a more bragging right. However I think Galatasaray are gonna win that particular encounter.

I would say Galatasaray played very well and still had trouble scoring a lot, that is our problem these days, we play a great football but we need to better at finding scoring options. Icardi is so good that we end up scoring some goals thanks to him, but otherwise we expect a miracle to get us to that goal. Besiktas played a very defensive game, the tried to attack from defense which is not a bad idea for a team like us, because we end up pressing all game long which is a tiring thing and that means eventually defenders would be too tired to chase down the attackers, I would say that would be something not so bad, didn't work this time around but this was a good result for both teams if you ask me.

Even though Besiktas is in a bad situation in terms of player quality and game plan, Besiktas showed us in the derby that it is not a bad team. I think this was mostly due to the fact that Burak Yılmaz was in charge of the team. Besiktas looked like a team that fought, pressed and was not afraid of losing the ball. Under Senol Günes, the opposite was the case.

Burak Yılmaz is a manager who has the potential to bring Besiktas back to its old days and he will. Besiktas’s only handicap is that the players can't shake off the pressure under Senol Günes. Also, the simple defensive mistakes in the derby, which decided the fate of the match, are habits from the Senol Günes era. Burak Yılmaz is still new in his coaching career and once he has formed his ideal eleven, we are ready to watch an unstoppable Besiktas.

I believe that Galatasaray will not have trouble at all, the yare the team that beat United at Old Trafford, doesn't mean that they are going to win every single game, obviously they will not finish the season unbeaten, there will be at least a few, but this is an important game and they will go out according to that, and I believe that we are going to end up with something much better in the end for the season, because they know that they will be playing against another good team so they will care and they will play their best which will result with them getting the win.

I know that it is not going to be all that much of a difference and we may not see big change in quality, because Galatasaray is already better quality than Besiktas to begin with, just look at the league results so far for both teams if you want to see the difference and that would make sure that you understand how Galatasaray is much better and it is a home game too so it should be easy.

Honestly I think the decisions on Mert's touching the ball with his hand and the handball right before the penalty were both correct. I don't think there was anything wrong about that handball. The ball came back from his hand clearly and this prevented the ball from going towards Besiktas' goal post.

Unfortunatelly Beşiktaş lost the game. I was expecting this result because they were 10 player against 11 and they were making small mistakes due to much pressure. And I just check the first half after match end and I can say that referee didn't give good decisions. As a Beşiktaş fan I used to it

I wish Galatasaray had not won such a victory. Yes, they are playing well, yes we love Icardi, but it is very sad that referee mistakes or federation support are being talked about in order to become champions in this league. I would have loved to watch this match without the mistake in the red card decision, penalty decisions or similar things.
After the red card decision, the match was not enjoyable, Beşiktaş could not make any attacks and was on the field to earn 1 point. They couldn't do that either and Galatasaray won the match

Mert Günok got a very unnecessary red card which led to an early break for Beşiktaş. Icardi's goal gave Galatasaray a 1-0 lead and Galatasaray managed to close the first half 1-0 ahead. In the second half, Besiktas continued to press and equalized in the 69th minute through Chamberlain. In the 82nd minute Icardi scored from the penalty spot. I must say that Galatasaray dominated the match in terms of possession but both teams were equal in terms of possession.

I couldn't watch the first half. And I had given up on Beşiktaş in the first 20 minutes of the second half but they tied the game with a beautiful attack. Chamberlain followed up well and scored. But Beşiktaş's job is really difficult with 10 player unfortunatelly.

Beşiktaş have been getting very bad results in recent years. I think this will reflect on the quality of the derby match. Honestly, I don't think we will watch a very exciting match.

Galatasaray drew with Kayserispor in the first match of this season and won all the other matches in the league. In other words, we won the last 7 games in the league and we are living a dream season in the Champions League. We beat Manchester United at Old Trafford. On the other hand, Beşiktaş are in a very bad period. After losing 3-2 to Lugano in the European Conference League, there was internal chaos in the club. Coach Şenol Güneş resigned. The club president decided to go to elections. Developments off the pitch are a nightmare for them. But things are not going well for them on the pitch either. Besiktas do not have any player with a good performance except Aboubakar.

I think Galatasaray will win this match comfortably. And after Beşiktaş lose this match, they will be completely out of the race for the league title.
