That's actually pretty good because the more people using bitcoin, the higher the demand for it, and the more demand for it, the more the prices go up so yeah I welcome them using bitcoin for something that they want to add to their website.
Yes you are right this will make BTC grow more and more and twitter is one of the strongest cryptocurrency sharing networks today no less than reddit and facebook all projects require twitter and use BTC on website is the right thing.

there was a shocking news from Twitter recently about paying for sharing bitcoin tips for creating content. What do you think will happen to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies going forward in the network system.
https://news.bitcoin.com/twitter-rolling-out-bitcoin-tipping-feature/

This could very well be the catalyst for the further development of Lightning Network because we all know that the majority still doesn't know or doesn't really want anything to do with LN because of it's limited features. But still, having twitter using it will probably help with the boost in popularity and usage among the users in the market.

Sounds very interesting. I have heard about this before, but thought it was just a rumor. With Jack confirming that the feature is coming to twitter, all those rumor seems to be true now. I wonder why this hasn't yet cause any affect on the market. Maybe we will be seeing a slight bull run soon once the feature goes live.
Do you think  they are going to start allowing users to tip with doge? Wasn't doge initially used as a "tipping" coin on different forum and community? That would be interesting too.

Jack is really a supporter of bitcoin and with this integration and it's with the lightning network. This is very positive even if it's going to be limited to his wallet-owned company as the gateway of it. What's good is that many will be educated about lightning network and as well as bitcoin. Those who don't believe that bitcoin is money, here it is, Twitter is allowing everyone to give those tips for their content creators and I think other social media will follow this act they did.

It is true, I found the user's Twitter profile. I am sure that it could be in the "monetization" option that appears in the menu bar of our Twitter account where we can add the option to monetize our content.

Jack, he did! He said at the Miami conference that if he was not working with Twitter, he was working with Bitcoin. Now he is giving Twitter users the possibility that they monitize their contents.
I am excited with this news because we are advancing so that more people begin to believe in Bitcoin.

The really new thing is that now in the profile you can include your bitcoin address and eventually ETH.
This was apparently discovered by a curious user:

BREAKING: Twitter will soon allow users to add #Bitcoin addresses to their profile.

I'm actually worried about this happening too quickly. After the initial hype I'm not even convinced that it would be beneficial to Bitcoin. I'd be worried about implementing something like this whether it was Twitter, Reddit or Facebook, a tipping feature could potentially hurt Bitcoin as a currency, because people will associate with tipping on a social media, and it becomes a novelty rather than something that could potentially revolutionise their life.

Think about it; would you ever see something like this implemented with fiat? Probably not, but if you implement it with Bitcoin while it would probably increase adoption, would people take Bitcoin seriously after it has been trivialised by a tipping feature?

Indeed twitter is the main place where people usually promote crypto currency such bounty projects and of course when it comes daily news of BITCOIN and more. so that's a good idea actually in my personal opinion as well. Infact it will be a big help to support the crypto space since millions of people using twitter nowadays.. For me "Tip jar" this word will become more interesting in twitter soon.. Wherein it's like you created a site for crypto related projects and suddenly you will receive a tips from people who likes your content.. It will be like that for sure.  Grin
Something like in youtube or articles wherein if you have good content it will be noticed and every viewers worth amount. Twitter been already use by crypto ICO bounty or for aome marketing strategy. There will probably a time for it that influences from crypto can earn in twitter by justing posting. Hopefully, only those who known crypto will be using it not justbthe trolls used bu scammers.

If this is to be implemented for real, seems like they gonna use a Lightning network and Strike wallet. This is only positive thing for the Lightning network project. Jack is a legend and Elon just pumps shitcoins...
lightning network is the future...

salute to jack dorsey who continues to consistently develop lightning network for the realization of mass adoption. when it's officially released, jack has already listed his name in history as the first social media to adopt the lightning network.

Bitcoin and twitter lol.. honestly I can't image not having ever found this forum and simply learning about bitcoin from twitter alone.  Twitter is a disastrous warzone and the amount of misinformation about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on there is insane.  I actually got off of twitter as I found most people to be completely unreasonable and rude and not very willing to really teach people things.  Anyways just my blab about twitter/crypto.

Even the news released by influencers has scorched the real facts, hype often arises, trends. and excessive Fud on twitter will be very difficult to filter the news if we are not careful and conduct a more in-depth investigation. Because on Twitter it's easy to create issues that only rely on hashtags and then can be found by everyone. This triggers news that is difficult to find the truth. But not the least amount of valid and up-to-date information can be exposed. Moreover, when it comes to Bitcoin, it is clearly easier to spread massively.

I guess it's all good still because that way, LN would get more exposure. Also, it's good that they're going to integrate Twitter with crypto, they will be able to make a significant bump to the prices.
@iasenko, it uses LN Strike, my country doesn't support Strike. It would be more effective if they took "LN Strike Global". If they had adopted "LN Strike Global", the uses of Lightning Network would have been greatly improved. I don't want to say anything about Elon cause he is publicly known DogeFather.

If they do implement it after beta testing then it’s bullish for sure. Twitter has so many users all over the world, it will bring bitcoin to average joe, people who otherwise would be unlikely to buy & use it.
@LFC_Bitcoin, Thus this news is positive so definitely, it will make an instant hype for short time.
But you know, It is mandatory to do KYC if you want to use LN Strike, without completing full KYC/AML no one will be able to withdraw funds from the tips jar. I think they are forcing people to do KYC for getting the function of receiving bitcoin tips, don't see any effective cause of getting Bullish.

But if they compromise KYC requirements then surely I'm Bullish for the long-run.

Twitter's approach is making Bitcoin closer to payments and that creates a real social network. Applications such as Telegram, Facebook, Instagram will probably learn this feature when Twitter successfully implements it.
I appreciate Twitter for supporting Bitcoin and crypto over the years.

Through Twitter, sentiment analysis can be done to find out how much people think about Bitcoin. This can be done by utilizing the API provided by Twitter to collect data in the form of tweets. Then, perform a sentiment analysis using the Python library to classify tweets as positive, negative, or neutral. From the classification results using a dataset of 3433 data, it was found that 41.3% were classified as positive, 44.9% neutral, and 13.7% negative. Then, to visualize all public opinion about Bitcoin, it can be formed using Word Cloud so that only important words related to Bitcoin will appear. It is hoped that after this research we can see how people, especially Twitter users, think about Bitcoin.

Lightning network has been adopted more and this year is amazing year for Lightning network.

Four years to bring Lightning network to mainstream adoption. It might need more years but this year is a beginning of Lightning Network mainstream adoption.

Jack is a big fan of Lightning network and it is easy to see on his Twitter account

I like twitter for the support for cryptocurrency especially to bitcoin hence the CEO himself is the supporter in the first place. This would be huge integration because this will have mass adoption towards such actions on the platform. The support of twitter is enormous for bitcoin and there are no way to see this as a big move of the price to start a throttle this coming months.

And I think this is one reason why bitcoin suddenly jumps to $50k again?

Twitter and Jack has been very supportive of bitcoin (he might have some narratives behind his support), but in any case, this is good and very welcoming indeed. LN needs to get exposed, I'm sure not many of us here are familiar with LN and how to take advantage of it.

there's been some news about this, and it's going to use some of the networks that are cooperating with it like TheBeardedBaby said before that.

I don't say that this news is fake. I know it happens for real.
What I was telling is that bitcoiners should avoid backlinking that one website and instead just read/show one of the other news sites showing basically the same info.
