To the first story both the boy and girl involved in that betting was very greedy. Firstly boy was greedy to sell his girlfriend for the money and addiction to the gambling such things should not be encouraged at any ideology. Because gambling should encourage based on the fun and not based on big win or addiction. To the second one, the boss should not greedy to stole all the assets of the worker. Because the workers had won only by the hard work and he not plugged the fruit from the some on tree. It was the by route of the owner and not accepted by the workers for sure.

It's natural for women to take more advantage than men, especially if it's a man she really loves because she will do more for the man she loves. So if he can split the money, much more than before, surely his girl won't let him down especially if she finds out that her boyfriend won huge prize money. His girl would devise a better plan for them and use the money to improve their lives. There's no point in having a lot of money but not having someone or someone else we love because we also won't enjoy that money even if we use it for something we think is valuable.

I think it would be better if the girl reconciles with her friend and settles everything the boy steals his money to bet but later returns it. He would not return the money if he wished the girl's friend has been tempted to win more in the bet. And in the second story, the money used for the bet belongs to the apprentice, not the boss so he usually has to obey because everyone has supported the boss so he can't do anything alone. They have fear of losing money which keeps them away from this exciting game it is exciting as well as offers golden opportunity to earn lots of money.

The relationship was built on money, not love, and that is exactly what both of them demonstrated, but the lady displayed more greed on her own side. I thought sometimes relationships do lead to marriage if the couples succeed, which can be done through understanding, but this situation begs for separation, however, my stand remains the same, she can't decide what the guy must give her, even if the guy used her money in the first place. What if the guy loses the bet in the first place? She wouldn't have the authority to ask the guy to double the money, and even if a jury is supposed to rule on this case, the guy will win.

He stole the money and he didn't collect or borrow the money from her and stolen money is not meant to return, so for him returning the money back to her is good thing. He has a good heart.  but he would have given something nice since the money he stole from her gave him the good luck to win the huge amount.


50/50? The boss is greedy, and those who said the boy should share the money 50/50 are given injustice and jungle justice. The boy used his personal money to place a bet and won the bet and people are saying he should share it equal with his boss is like the boy has no family members in the world again. That is nonsense.

It's really justifiable that the girl would get some of the winnings of his boyfriend because it is her money to begin with. If it weren't for her fund, then the guy won't probably win that kind of amount. It's also a form of token of appreciation for her if ever the guy will give her some wholeheartedly. It shouldn't even be an issue if they are really comfortable with one another and wants each other to be successful in the future together.

Money matters should really be talked upon. Agreement not only verbally, but written with the presence of a lawyer is essential most especially if the amount involved is big and you can't afford to lose it. Money can be a source of greediness so we should always be careful on who we will trust.

It's a risk I took with her own money without her consent of which she would have asked for a refund if I had loss the money, but because the bet was a success she's now asking for $40M for herself. Now what if I had lose the money would she have decided we split the amount. No! I don't think so. As a girlfriend I can only give her a 10% of the total amount and not an amount she's insist on. She's my girlfriend so invariably some fractions of the 90% left with me will still be spent on her as the relationship advances.

On the second story, I'll say the boos to the apprentice was just greedy and trying to show a bossman supremacy over his apprentice and that is wrong if we are to go by the idea that,"should he the boss had won the 16million would he have given the apprentice a 50-50 share of the money"?   In my opinion I will only give him an appreciable amount so he can use it to acquire some more equipments into the workshop to make work great. But giving him 50-50 I won't do that cause I also have a dream too I won't be an apprentice forever. I'll rather leave his shop and go seek for apprenticeship in another area am not well known and continue my learning.

I read the story of those two dudes, now about the first story, if you look at the scenario for me they should be 50/50 in the division, why? because the Boyfriend is a gambler, he couldn't gamble the day he won because he didn't have money to gamble, now what he did was he stole his Girlfriend's money, it doesn't say that he will borrow to her money first. He won't win 100M$ if not with the woman's money, or won't win if he didn't get his GF's 10k, so they really should be split.

In the second story, if I'm the apprentice, it's up to me to choose if I continue my training, maybe if I give my boss the spring inside me because it wasn't his money that I used to win the gambling,  My boss's face is thick if he demands me to divide him.

When you make a deal with someone according to what they do, you must be very clear about what you do, because otherwise in a case like that, the person who is known as the boss can take advantage of the apprentice, that is something that It almost always happens, although I do not agree with taking advantage of people, another thing is that it is written down, there if there is nothing to do anymore, that is something that no one can interfere with, however this is what a person accepts or not such treatment, and in my case if I were the boss I would not take advantage of people, because that is something that does not look very good, and I would feel bad afterwards, I think that conscience is something that many people cannot do escape, I believe that no one can escape.

On the girl's case I think we both agree that the girl should get at least half of the winnings after returning the stolen money.

While on the boss and apprentice case.. I believe there is a story behind it.  In their village, once a person undergoes an apprenticeship, his boss will be responsible of the apprentice's needs in return for the boss having the authority over the property of the apprentice during his stay.  The bet and winnings happen during the stay of the apprentice under his boss.  In the logical understanding of the agreement between the two.  The money, the apprentice won should be the property of his boss given by the scenario explained earlier.  It is a generous part of the boss to settle 50/50 when in legal terms, it should be the boss's property.

He must be greedy to steal his girl friend for the money. He is lucky to get back the money in gambling. But think in another way, I don’t think the money is equal to one real girl friend. Selling of woman for the money is not the good option. Instead he can use his own health to earn more and make the placement. Because 10k dollars is not the high money to sell his girlfriend. One can earn 10k dollars in a year, if he work continuously like anything. His work is like the maximum money to get his target. The second fun factor is his girlfriend ask his share of 40 million dollars as her share. Their won’t any wrong on the female action from my point. In the second story, he should not share his bet to his boss. If he not shared such things, he never going to forced by the boss.

First of all what I say is the essence of this story, and I speak in general terms. what you say I totally agree, that the woman should get at least a bigger share of the stolen money then returned by her boyfriend. even so, I don't forget to include, both the girlfriend and the boss have their respective claims on the winnings from the betting results of these two people. although it felt a little off, from the apprentice boss's side. however, we do not have any more detailed information to draw any conclusions from.

I'm not sure a boss would ask for half of his apprentice's bet winnings if he didn't have a hand in his bet. like the first story, only in this case there is no more detailed information.

so, I conclude in general. the essence of this story is the money factor, and because the money won from gambling makes the people involved in this story part of greed.

the idea of Him taking his girlfriend money without Her consent is already a flag that must be settled first before the dividing of the win.

if I were the girl friend ? I will ask for more than half because it is her money and not the winner .

it comes that He only bet for her and she is the real winner here.

are you guys talking about Gambling here? or other business opportunities about that splitting  part? because I think that apprentice is something that needed to learn and earn but not to take money from the one who thought him because that is different person and what we called capitalist .

but about gambling I believe that if the other one has the capital and the other one who played? then the winning must be split equally as they become industrial partner .

While I think you are right on your assessment that this is more about the money itself than about gambling, I disagree with you on one point, the girlfriend deserves at least half of the money and maybe even more than that, while I agree the boss does not deserves anything.

The girlfriend deserves that much money because it was her money, which was taken without permission by the way, if we were talking about a business started between the two of them, with the girlfriend giving the starting capital while the boyfriend gave his time and hard work we will agree she deserves half of the business because without her money the business would not have started to begin with, so why this logic should not apply to gambling as well?

The essence of these two stories is actually not the gambling, Op's story really attracts us to provide conclusions or assumptions. although this story is closely related to gambling. but its essence is money. how money becomes a struggle between lovers, a boss and his apprentice. and what about when greed overtook both parties who won money from the gambling. and how that actually, the girlfriend and the intern boss, have no right to claim money that is not rightfully theirs.

although in this story, both the girlfriend and the boss have their claims. however, basically they are not entitled to ask for half of the winnings they get for whatever reason. so at the core of this story, describes how when greed overwhelms those involved in this story.

When the boss deserve that the apprentice under his control has progressed financially and he has failed to control his greed in that situation and he knows that he can easily get a share of the money from him. Here I think that the man has no right to ask for winning money. Then how can he be a partner. But he may request the apprentice to give him some portion of the money. It depends on the apprentice. People generally cannot control their greed. This is also another proof.

when I saw this story I thought the same thing, if he didn't have money he wouldn't be able to play and consequently he wouldn't be able to win anything, so in this case he should be grateful to his girlfriend and would give her 50% of everything he won because in Just to be fair, he put in a lot of effort to win so it's 50% and his girlfriend put in the money he took to play so it's 50% of the effort his girlfriend made, but this guy is mean, he was selfish and greedy, his girlfriend should leave him and any woman who gets involved with this guy will simply shed a lot of tears, I hope women pay close attention to his face and stay away from him for their own good


in my country the labor laws are very clear, when a worker signs a contract he is agreeing with the terms of the contract and at no time should the boss charge money from the employee, this is a crime in my country, if a worker wins the lottery , this is a worker's private life thing, it's his money and the boss shouldn't meddle in the worker's private life and shouldn't charge the worker money for winning the lottery prize, but there are cases in which they are an exception, for example can be given to the case where the boss is a personal friend of the worker and they live together outside of work, in this case if the boss gives the worker money to play in the lottery and the employee wins then he can charge something, or else if in this case the boss lends money to the worker and the worker wins the lottery so the boss can charge something

I thought things are suppose to be share between you and someone you called a lover? What type of a man will steal from his girlfriend in the first place? I think this person is a gambling addict, he is also a greedy type that is why he only returned the exact amount he stole.

This shows where his girlfriend belongs in the relationship.


In my country most apprentices take money from their boss from time to time, I mean the boss helps their fellow apprentice with what they can afford, food, transport fee and some times even where to stay or live...

If the boss is demanding for a split 50-50 then the boss must have done some part in the apprentice's life.

Gambling is a bad addiction that changes a person's normal behavior and if a gambler becomes completely addicted to gambling, he loses his normal mental balance and will do anything to gamble as seen in this story of a man who staked  an amount against his girlfriend and Placed bets for gambling which is a heinous act. Such incidents ruin the life of a gambler as well as an innocent person.  Which is a heinous crime
