US worried over BTC status in El Salvador

Last year Bitcoin was granted legal status in El Salvador, on September 7, 2021, thanks to the country’s president, Nayib Bukele.
 
The US has already voiced their concerns about this, citing economic stability and financial integrity of the small country, which is, nonetheless, a trade partner for the US. The new policy might help criminals circumvent whatever sanctions the US has imposed.

In other words, American leadership is afraid that the Bitcoin-focused economy of El Salvador is now more resistant to the potential sanctions that the US might impose on the country. And yet, this is exactly why cryptocurrencies were created — to curb the dominance of all kinds of centralized and regulatory organs over people’s freedoms.
