As you can see, yesterday game was in favour of Barcelona and to be honest the Liverpool tried but wasn't luck to score any goal. How ever, the second leg at the never walk alone home will be win by Barcelona if Liverpool don't score an early goal.
Liverpool will win the second leg at home, I quite certain about that, they'll win in front of their home fans and Barcelona will be all about the right game management.
Liverpool is not only looking forward to the win but also to qualify for the final. We need a win with at-least 3 goals difference. The match will be an entertaining one for sure.

In CL season 2017/2018 Quarter-finals, Barcelona wins against Roma 4:1 in the first leg, but in 2nd lag in Italy, Roma wins 3:0 and go to semifinals. I think Liverpool is a much stronger team than Roma, and they have a chance. Not significant but there are. This year we saw it many surprising results, why not one more from Liverpool.

Looks like it will be Barcelona vs Ajax in the final, my preference would be for Ajax to win. They are a team built on low spending & just by nurturing their youth players they are here. I do think that Barcelona will win though.

Winning at home is possible for Liverpool but winning without conceded any goals is almost impossible as we all know how good the quality of Barcelona Offensive side is. One goal made by Barcelona at Anfield will make Liverpool get harder way to qualify to Final as they will need 4 goals gap to qualify. 4-1, 5-2, 6-3 wont be enough to make them go to final. Of course anything may happen but to be realistic, it is very hard for Liverpool to qualify.

They won't lose this one easily Liverpool. I feel quite safe with Barca's 3 goal cushion and you're right. I'm sure they can score at least 1 goal, which they must try to do to force Liverpool to score 5. Can we let in 5? I don't think it's possible with our keeper among the best in the world, but you never know on a bad day. I just hope
I knew that Barcelona is not an easy opponent but I was pretty suprised to see Liverpool with no scored goal. One goal would give some chances to get to the final in the second match. Zero score left almost zero chances vs Barsa in return match.

Our latest Champions League blog is out for the second leg of the semi final games!

I'll share the Liverpool v Barca bit here to save you a click (but don't tell the blog team)  Wink

"Liverpool were unlucky to fall to such a heavy defeat at the Nou Camp in the first leg, and unlucky to have to face Messi at all. The Argentine was in magnificent form, swinging the tie in Barca’s favour in the last 20 minutes by subtly repositioning himself more centrally and popping up in the gaps between Liverpool’s defence and midfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s side should have scored a crucial away goal when Mohamed Salah hit the post, and indeed they matched their opponents in almost every area. The one regret Liverpool will have is starting Gini Wijnaldum up front. That opening 20, in which Liverpool pressed assertively, felt significant – but without Roberto Firmino linking Sadio Mane and Salah together the visitors lacked a cutting edge.

Firmino should return for the second leg and, with the Anfield crowd behind them, it will certainly be another even contest in terms of possession and quality. Barca’s huge advantage is unlikely to be overturned, but Anfield has produced some miraculous matches in recent history and it is not inconceivable that the English side could race into an early two goal lead.

More likely, Liverpool will attack confidently but leave too much open space on the counter-attack for Messi and Luis Suarez. Barcelona could have scored twice from breaks in the closing stages of the first leg, and that pattern will repeat itself when Liverpool become desperate. Consequently the total goals market is worth a look, and since there is little value in backing Barca to qualify, a win in 90 minutes for Klopp’s side is more attractive."

- Total Goals: Over 3 (1.88)
- Liverpool to win (2.02)

What do you think? I can see Liverpool winning the game at home unless they get caught on the break for being too reckless (given the goals needed), but to progress Barca have to be the clear favourites. I can't see Liverpool keeping a clean sheet even if they win which is going to make life even more difficult for them.

I think that in football it can happen and often it has happened. Because this second leg match at home to Liverpool and it certainly gives more enthusiasm to be able to win more than 4 goals without reply if you still want to qualify for this semi-final. I think the match will certainly be very tense.
yes, anything can happen in a soccer match. I am very sure Liverpool are not a weak team that will surrender with a landslide defeat in the first leg. competing at home with fanatical fans and extra luck will clearly give more advance enthusiasm to the finals.
at least they have tried whatever end result they get.
Actually Liverpool still has a chance. Of course with supporters you will give spirit to Liverpool. I'm sure Liverpool will fight it out for the second leg match later. I actually can't wait for the match. Let's wait for the surprise from Liverpool as the host later.
Liverpool still has a chance indeed but they need to make goals at least 3 goals which is very hard even the 2nd leg play at Liverpool match, because they are play against Barcelona. Well everything can happen in champions league, as a liverpool i believe in miracle Liverpool beat Barcelona 3-0 and ended with pinalty :p.

surely they get a chance. by utilizing playing at least their home ground, Liverpool must force FCB to make extra time and even penalties to win.
Liverpool are always good when playing at home but this is the biggest Liverpool defeat at EPL and UCL this season. whatever the results, I really hope the second leg match will be interesting.

I'm a little doubt Liverpool can get up to turn things around in the second leg later. The big goal difference makes them have to fight harder to qualify for the UCL final this season.

Victory with a difference of 3 goals will be realized if Messi and Suárez do not play  Cheesy if these two players are in the line-up then don't expect much

They are not Gods and who knows, maybe they wont score and play worse than usually and Liverpool wins  Grin

Anyway, win with 3 balls difference in semi-finals means a lot. All the team play carefully and there are no weak opponents at this point.

Well. It logical for Barcelona to win the game despite Liverpool having the highest possession because only a team that's so good in counter attack can beat Barcelona at home.
It's unusual for Barcelona to lose possession to a team that doesn't dwell on holding the ball for too long, Liverpool are mostly a team plays on counter attack, but I'd say it was Barcelona plan all to let Liverpool have a fair share of the ball knowing they would not of too much threat possessing the ball.

I took Liverpool win @3.90. Even though I know Barcelona have an impressive record at home (+30 games unbeaten in the CL), I feel like with this in-form Liverpool, a win is possible. Draw with goals @4.35 isn't that bad either.

Massive game for my beloved LFC tonight, I expect it to be a really tough game. I would happily get the fuck out of Camp Nou with a draw, preferably a score draw so we get a precious away goal or two.
I thought you were in Spain, was expecting some pics from you at the Camp Nou  Cheesy
Liverpool perform beautifully in their previous match in the UEFA league against the Barcelona but with what I'm seeing in tonight game is something different from the two team previous meet and Barcelona will this evening game by two goals.

Tonight it's totally a different mood. I hope we win.

I have been watching the live match through my tv but i had decide to turn off my TV when messi made second goals for Barcelona and in my view actually Liverpool was playing good even they can get several times attempts to score but i have to admit too Barcelona was very strong on that match however have to score 4 goals without conceded is just like mission impossible for Liverpool although second leg playing at Liverpool home ground but this is hard for them

Messi was great but also Barca defense was very good .Coutinho and Vidal did his job in defense. LFC was playing his Klopppressing at beginning of any half but they didn't have force to continue .I don't understand one thing why LFC didn't try to strike from outside of penalty box.LFC was arriving at penalty box then there was nothing from them
Game was very good but Messi AI machine is incredible .He will play same like Gigs did until 40 years old always on high level

Let's see if Liverpool can make it or not, maybe the miracle of crystanbul can be happened again.
Crystanbul? Do you mean Istanbul? Because 'Crystanbul' isn't exactly a good memory for Liverpool fans LOL

Full back reading the striker well and the striker knows that the full back knows where to put the ball is 'out of context'...?  Nay.  I think that's the kind of things they do in practice.
Cheesy  I'm not saying they didn't know what they were doing, with out of context I meant that nothing was happening in the game (Pool wasn't under siege) and all of sudden BUM! Barcelona scored.
