Juventus vs Altetico Madrid, 0-2 on the first leg and Juventus need to make goals at least 2 goals. The odds are in Juventus favor but still hard to predict this one. On the other match, Man City should be an easy match for them.

In this match my highlight was Ronaldo, he wanted to prove that even though he played with other clubs he still got a trophy
I'm sure Juventus can take control of the champions

Yeah you are right and this match also play at Juventus home, i guess they will trying so hard to win, especially ronaldo.

It would be very hard for Juventus to qualify for the next stage.
Ronaldo is not used in making good matches in crucial situations that the team needs him. Also, Atletico Madrid has some great defenders that are going to play hard and try to maintain the 0 goals conceded till the end of the game. I think that Atletico is going to be the team who qualifies to the next stage.

It would be hard indeed but no one knows. Let's see if the juventus can manage to win in this game, win is not enough though, they need 2 goals or even more to qualify to the next round.

In this match i think we will see some surprise as i have seen lot of time , when ever we expect Atletico Madrid to perform well that time they play badly and lose the match so i think today we can Juventus winning it by one goal margin or equal the score. Over 2.5 goal will be good to bet.

I think the Manchester City – Schalke 04 game will end with a home win, but odds are too small to risk a bet here, so a home win with more than one goal are what I play on.

The other game Juventus – Atletico Madrid, are really open, I think that Juventus will win and I'm also making a  small bet on Juventus will make it to the next round.

I think player fatigue and the pressure are setting in at Liverpool.  They've been becoming inconsistent lately in some matches.  And how it would suck if they're KO'd at the CL and draw or lose this current match vs Burnley...

Edit:  Firmino goal.  1 - 1 now.  Whew.

But I still think we are in a superior position since we were able to keep a clean sheet at home. This means that for every goal we score they have to score two to go through

The statement is not quite correct. They don't have have to score  2 goals for every goal Liverpool score, all they need is to win the match regardless of the scoreline and number of goals scored by Liverpool, or avoid a scoring draw to force extra time and penalty(If there's still no winner after extra time).

Which implies scoring at least one more goal than Liverpool scored (unless Liverpool doesn't score at all and Bayern Munich is able to win the match 1-0). Because if they draw 1-1 at the Allianz arena there will be no extra time nor penalties because Liverpool will win, on aggregate 1-1 based on the away goals (just like Machester United did last week). All you did is confirming my original statement since it seems to me that you are not familiar with the away goal rule.

Bad news for Liverpool is that Bayern won today 6-0 and 5-1 previous game
Those are indeed very big wins against, consecutively, the 7th and 4th in the Bundesliga. This means they will be in great form and full of confidence going into the 2nd leg of our game against them. But I still think we are in a superior position since we were able to keep a clean sheet at home. This means that for every goal we score they have to score two to go through. If we are able to put up a strong performance against Burnley tomorrow and with big Virgil back in the squad, I am confident that we should be able to secure a spot in the next round. #YNWA

It will be not all  over yet  in a case of Juve but if Atletcico will sore than Juve will be not able to score four goals
Whatever i will like to see 2-0 Juve and add time
Both games will be fascinating to watch
What coming games will bring us after last shocks

I don't think that MAN U should have been given a penalty in that situation. The ball did bounce off the defenders arm but from the looks of it the shot would have ended up far above the bar. The defender was also to close to have a chance to move his arm away.

^  It's a long shot.  But then again...  The same was said of Di Matteo when he took over Chelsea from AVB mid season.  And guess what, he won Chelsea's first CL trophy.

PSG gave United all 3 goals pretty much, I think Man Ute will get crished when they meet a team like Barca, City or Atleti in the 1/4 final.

Ajax & Porto are unknown quantities when the real pressure is on in the latter stages.

Solksjaer could do a Di Matteo tho and beat Barca, and continue beating whoever and bring home the trophy.  Grin

Would that not be an impressive record to make? Coming into team in chaos then winning the UCL against all odds, Lol.
However I think that's just a dream, and it'd remain that way at least for this season, I don't see Man Utd going further than the 1/4 finals, except they get to face Tottenham, Roma or Ajax, else I think of the remaining top teams will eliminate them easily.

The players have been going out of their ways to destroy their careers lately, Keppa if I am not wrong denied to get benched as well and that is something weird that I have never seen before as well, don't get me wrong I support the personalities of all players and if they want to act the way they want they have all the right to do so but these kinds of things could also have consequences, so if you want to be rebellious and want to do things your way than you have to bear the consequences of your actions as well.

If Adrien Rabiot wants to go out and have a good night drinking and partying after a loss than he has every right to do so, that is his deal. However he shouldn't be shocked if he is benched or even sold after that move because everyone would expect him to be upset after a loss, its the natural thing to expect.

I just came across an article on UEFA's explanations about the recent VAR decisions during the midweek's UEFA Champions League matches.

https://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/explained-why-var-punished-real-madrid-psg-roma-in-champions/lyelhrr1jffu1byuhlyb0845l

They can explain all they want but that’s never a penalty for me. I think it was stupid decision.
Absolutely, this is a disgrace of VAR System. They are blind I think and what neymar said I agree. This was no penalty and in that moment the var referre should be more professional because his decision can turn up a match So i feel that should not be happen.

You cant not predict football matches like that and just because the PSG won their match against Man United with 3-1 goals doesnt mean Barca,City etc will crush them in 1/4 final because the preparation will be totally different when they want to face such strong team and they wont want to spoil their record either.

I dont see any reason why the thread should be combine because the League are actually not the same and confusion will only happen if the two thread are combine. However, the topic of the thread clarified the league people are talking about in each thread but I think big daddy have issue in finding the Europa thread.
