Congrats to Man city for the first UCL Trophy as well as the treble.

After 2012 Chelsea finally had another new champion. Welcome to join Manchester city in the club of European champions. the English league is the most competitive league in Europe, 6 clubs have won the champions league. MU, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Aston villa, Chelsea, Manhester city...next when will Aesenal be able to win the champions league, don't be overtaken by Newcastle United who won the UCL trophy first.

Btw, Inter is the most difficult team against Manchester City in the UCL this season. The pressing is steady starting from the middle. Making Man City's ball flow not as free as usual, especially in the first half. Plus the City players had stage fright. They looked really nervous/tense since the aisle when they were about to enter the field. Maybe the pressure is because it is far superior to Inter Milan, where it seems that the players are looser and more relaxed.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
I knew the league was for city ... I wasn't even hoping to wait till the match begins for me to get convinced... You seee, from the moment Dzeko was asked how he thinks the match will go, and he laughed scornfully and didn't even give a response with enough confidence, I was convinced that even after 13 years without the championship trophy,it seemed they weren't even ready for it just yet...
The games was breathlessly tough during the first half and I wasn't seeing any chances of inter creating a good scoring opportunity, talk more of winning the game and lifting the trophy. Finally, city has succeeded in breaking man United's record.

Finally now we see a new champion. Manchester City won the Champions League trophy for the first time after several attempts and 2 attempts in the Final.
History is written now apart from Manchester City, Haaland is also the first season and the first trophy as well as the top scorer for this season.
My best credit goes to Pep because he is also one of the top coaches with 3 trophies for the Champions League as well as equaling Zidane's score.
Congratulations to Manchester City for their trophy.
The long-awaited dream of Pep Guardiola to win the champions league for Manchester City has finally come true, but this time he created a historic treble trophy for the team. What else is left for him to accomplish given that he has already established history as the head coach of Manchester City in the Premier competition and with Barcelona in the La Liga competition.
What other league would Pep aim to join by the upcoming season given that he has established himself as one of the top managers in the world and has made history in the La Liga and Premier League. His coaching career will not end with Manchester City; it will continue.

Manchester City have won the Champions League title for the first time in team history finally. Now it looks like it is PSG's turn to do the same.  Grin  But they will need to make some significant changes in the management style of the team. Galtier is very likely to get sacked indeed no matter how much he believes that he has done a good work so far. There is no such thing obviously. You can't brag about only a Ligue 1 title while you are managing a team like PSG.

People expected a Champions League title from you but you couldn't even make the team get close to the title. This squad should have been in the finale at worst I mean. If the management style changes with a new coach then I can believe in PSG more for next season.

The difference between City and Inter Milan is so much, but the thing is that CL final's are always tough/tight, there is usually this nervousness and thought from the players about avoiding a mistake, so when you play by trying to be too careful, you'll struggle to perform at your utmost best, and that's what happened to City yesterday.

This should be exactly what was transpiring in their minds when they were playing the match. I expected Manchester City to be at their utmost best during that match but they were playing on an average level and that gave their opponent the privilege to understand the game more and make it more difficult for them to win easily.

Quote
Having said that, What Pep and his team have achieved this season is unbelievable, they have finally won the CL and they did it by winning the treble, i have said it before that City just needs to get one CL and many more would come, this is prolly the start of City's dominance in the CL.

Let’s watch out and see if that will be replicated since they’ve won their first UCL now. Pep Guardiola is still in the club so I won’t doubt their possibilities too much. But one thing is sure that champions league is hard to win than the domestic league, they need to be at their best always.

And what will we see from PSG in the coming year? Mbappe has said that his next step would be to play for Real Madrid? I think Mbappe may never do that again at all. Only the only big problem Mbappe has is that he will not face any opposition in the cometition in France. So he can really only enjoy his level when he plays in the CL. Then you really should go to Italy or England. Spain is qualitatively a size below it. But I don't see an Mbappe in England happening anytime soon. Haaland and Mbappe together in the striker at Manchester City would not be bad.  Grin

What's the nonsense about Spain? In what ways is Spain lower than Italy? I think that even if Inter, Juventus and Milan get the money together, they won't be able to afford Mbappe, but Real Madrid can. Another question is that Mbappe is too expensive as a commodity, he is like Neymar - very good, but the price is still higher than the sum of the positive qualities.

It depends on what you subsume under positive qualities. If you only consider him as a player on the pitch, he is probably not worth a few hundred million. But if you also take into account any merchandise revenues he generates and the buzz around the club as a whole, it might still pay off for the club to sign him for 200 million.

The transfer fees are to high these days and can't be justified in my opinion.

Spain isn't below Italy. It is true that Spain suffered a bit in the last two to three years and has not been as competitive as before because Atletico Madrid is also not as strong. But Spain isn't a weaker league than Italy. The Premier League is above all other leagues though.

I think if we want to discuss PSG then it would be better to discuss that only in the ligue 1 thread lol

the team that won the UCL is a strong team that is certainly coached by great coaches like pep guardiola while the PSG coach is galtier so I see that for quality, man city is much better, next season we will see man city which is getting more fierce even though it's not there's a new player they bought

The series A team has suffered in three European league finals this season, As Roma, Fiorentina and Inter Milan have lost compactly, but I appreciate that these Serie A teams have had a good season for Serie A, even though they were not lucky in the final. And I also congratulate the three teams who won at three levels of the European league, Sevilla won the Europa League, West Ham won the UEFA Conference Leag, and of course Manchester City, who won the Champions League last night.

Especially for Man city, you really deserve to win the champions league this season. Even though Inter Milan had many opportunities with potential goals, at the end of the game Man City still had to be defeated with a score of 1-0. This is the most interesting UCL final, no team is superior, it's only mistakes that make them lose. For Man City congratulations on the first UCL title and the Treble Winner.

Mbappe is an excellent young footballer who loves to play and play exceptional football and then he loves his ego and then money. That is why he will find it difficult to leave PSG where he is already a Lord. Money can attract him to another club but his chances of being the indisputable lord in the new club will be very slim.
Also that is a point why some clubs will be skeptical to sign him. Speaking about Manchester city,  I don't think Guardiola will be interested, unless he has to sell KDB. KDB is managing the recent fame of Haaland and now Haaland is the face of city, how will he be able to manage Mbappe join together.

Man City could not find their game in the first half. But for the last 20 minutes of the second half, they played magnificently. Inter were beginning to tire by this time. And Manchester City found their game.
Everyone understands that Inter were unlucky in this game. But Man City were also unlucky when De Bruyne was replaced due to injury. Who knows, if he hadn't been injured, City would have scored more goals.

Perhaps, the game might have gone a different way for Manchester City if De Bruyne didn’t go off during the first half of the game. He’s a very talented player and he would have made a difference if not much. Apparently, they didn’t need him as they still went on to win the game without him playing.

Inter Milan on the other hand, surprised me with the level of gameplay. I probably had been so focused on the strength and consistent wins of Manchester City to remember that Inter Milan, having obviously reached the finals, are a strong team as well.
I wouldn’t say Manchester City was unlucky cause when De Bruyne was substituted. They still went on to win the game.

We never know, they haven't even decided who will be the new coach. however, rumors of Galtier's dismissal have been circulating and have been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano. I'm pretty sure if Mbappe will stay with PSG, at least we'll still see him wearing a PSG shirt next season. now, Nagelsmann is the strongest candidate as their new coach. it is even reported that there has been no contract agreement with PSG, but his agent is already in Paris to have a serious meeting with the club.

If in the end there is a deal, I'm pretty sure if he can bring PSG much better than Galtier. but there is one problem, can Nagelsmann have full control in the dressing room. if so, I am optimistic that PSG will be able to bounce back. regarding players, they can bring in anyone after all PSG has abundant finances. The problem is, so far no coach has been able to bring PSG to lift the Champions League trophy. maybe with Nagelsmann and a series of new players brought in, PSG's lucky season will come. but by the way, this is just a personal opinion, even the league competition just ended. so, we'll see how it turns out later.

Now they have lost, in fact it can be said that the speculation that was discussed long ago has indeed been proven, but in this case they also deserve great appreciation because they are in the final and are not afraid to face Manchester City, it clearly makes us realize that their difference is not too far .

That match was clear proof that Manchester City and its players especially Haaland are overhyped. Inter showed the world that it can withstand that top classed players of Mancity. In terms of ball possession, shots, and shots on target, we saw that Inter was outstanding. Luck contributed to the result of this game because if both teams scored all the goal opportunities they had, Inter would have won the match.

Like I said before City is not as powerful as they have assumed, they won the premiership because of the late slackness of Arsenal, and the FA Cup was not won convincingly. I don't also believe that Manchester City will dominate the Champions League in the future because Europe has better teams that can compete favorably with the Citizens. For now, let them enjoy their lucky season because mother luck made the entire sky blue.

We will soon start the CL again, it won't take that long before we enter the group stage again. The draw for the group stage is in August and we already have the first matches in September. Would City actually change something in their selection? I don't think there are any positions that are weak or need to be replaced. And the barrier for PSG to win the title only seems to have grown with the departure of Messi. City has won the title, now it's waiting for PSG, but that will probably take a few more years. Individually, PSG are really absurdly strong if you put the market value of that team on paper. But a bag of money can't play football.

Yes, it seems like it. Several seasons ago, Mbappe was always associated with Real Madrid because Mbappe also always said that he really wanted to go to Real Madrid. But it always changed and in the end MBappe stayed at PSG with just that kind of achievement. And this season, he doesn't talk about it anymore, and neither does the media.

I also admit that Inter played a good strategy when holding off the onslaught of Manchester City, but in the end they couldn't do anything about it after only missing a few goal chances. It was bad luck for Inter, but of course Manchester City also had several chances to double their tally during the game.
I also think so.
In fact, Inter also played very well. After all, their efforts are really optimal, but indeed their strength, especially on the front lines, is not as good as Man City. And they are also very unlucky despite having several opportunities. But once again, congratulations to Man City who have won the UCL this season.

I thought Milan performed well the entire game and that they were a good fit for Manchester City because I observed how they continually searched for opportunities to score. Before the game began, I actually did underestimate Inter Milan's performance, but now I know they did not just get lucky to play in the finals. At one point, Manchester City players became frustrated because all of their attempts to score  were blocked by Inter Milan's defense.  The frustrating part was when Lukaku wasn't scoring, and based on the statistics, it seemed like the clubs were playing catch-up. Let's all hope for a better season.

Manchester City won't take home the Champions League trophy the next season, I previously said that.
What if they can? Is that impossible?

Congratulations to Manchester City for their trophy.
It was an interesting game altogether, a big congratulations to Manchester city, they've finally written their name in the book of history, a big congratulations to inter Milan as well, I personally under estimated this team, today's match proved to me how strong and well coordinated this team are, though they seem small and not as popular as the big clubs we all are usually familiar with, I personally expected Manchester city to win the match with atleast 3 to 5 goals to nothing, but they only managed to score one goal, like I said, I really under estimated inter Milan.
In the end City deserved it because they really tried hard enough and tried a few times and this is a very good result for them this season.
History indeed for Manchester City and I'm quite happy with my bet too Cheesy
On the other hand for Inter even though in this case they were not too favored but indeed this match was also very extraordinary for them even in the final minutes of the match actually the chance to score a goal occurred several times there only it could be thwarted well. They deserve to be applauded this season.

I think if Lukaku hadn't been on the field, Inter would have had an opportunity to score... Although he was able to create some moments, he didn't manage to score... But he also prevented the ball from being sent into the target a few times... In the final minutes Inter showed very good class and Man City could do nothing with those dangerous attacks, but with the realization of the moments was a problem...
Inter Milan would have all the opportunity to get at least a goal in that match but trees and lack of finishing denied them clear opportunities to take the game to an extra time. Both Martinez and Lukaku wasted a lot of opportunities. There was a clear chance for Martinez to pass to Lukaku which would have given them a goal but he decided to score alone, while Lukaku's lack of coordination and right positioning deprived this great team of the opportunity to give Italy a European title this season. Maybe the Belgian might have to return to Chelsea but Inter can keep him for another season because he had a fairly good season. But a goal in the finals would have been the needed catalyst to give him a permanent deal at Inter.

Inter Milan performed far beyond my expectation because I expected Manchester City to dominate the match from beginning to end and thought the goal will be up to three as they did to Real Madrid. But coach Inter coach Simone Inzaghi showed some good technical soundness that slightly outsmarted City.

I was very much disappointed with Lukaku... I think his career is over... He was terrible at Chelsea, he didn't perform well at the last World Cup either... In yesterday's very important match, he missed several chances... I am sure if Dzeko had had the strength to play the match to the end, he would not have missed an opportunity to score... It's a shame that Inter started to create such good moments only after conceding a goal...
The accident of holding Dimarco's header and him having a chance that failed to be utilized in this match also really made fans seem a little disappointed. but on the other hand in this match too he actually played quite well even though from the bench it's just that the unluckiness to him is still very big in this match.

30 years old Romeo Lukaku is surely losing his fans and favour within Italy which is surely not good with most chances now he needs to set his goals for the remaining career because with this current form nothing positive is going to happen for him Inter Milan president already talk his career is belonged to Chelsea, and they will talk about this in next few weeks which mean things looking not good and lost chance is surely hurting badly to all in Italy.

Inter Milan performance in this final was really impressive because no one was expecting performance like this even they have few good chances but sadly unable to score equalizer with now we have Citizens as new champions of Champions League for the first time but still good fight from Inter which deserve some praise as well.
