I actually know that in football we do not do without history of both teams that are to play together. But in this case of the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan. I choose not to look at the history because any history we look at is not current and the Manchester City team we used to know in 2013, 2010 etc is not the Manchester City team we have now in 2023. There is a very big difference in the team mentality and team form.

Manchester City and Inter Milan last met in 2011 and in that match Manchester City won by 3-0 margin then 12 years have passed since these 12 teams have not played any match against each other so I think we have to discard past statistics. We have to make the final match prediction based on how the two teams are currently performing.  

Manchester City are at their best. Manchester City have won three of their last five matches, drawn one match and lost one match to Brentford while Inter Milan have won four of their last five matches and lost one match.  

Considering the current statistics, it is going to be a tough competition between the two teams.

We have a completely different Manchester City this time,a team that have never lost a game in the Champions League this season if I am not mistaken.Beside that they have crushed without mercy two of the strongest teams like Bayern Munchen who had 0 lost games before this encounter in Champions also and then Real Madrid,one of the strongest contenders.Based on this Manchester City is a heavy favorite this time as the odd shows of less than 1.50 for a final.Inter Milan can only hope for a miracle in this game but miracles do happen from time to time  .

These meetings statistics cannot be used anymore because whether it Inter or Manchester City currently have different squads and also different coaches but we can used some data such as their recent performance or squad conditions to predict the outcomes from this match although these method cannot be guarantee 100% accurate because it is depend on the performance of the team while playing at the final match later and indeed with their strength obviously Manchester City has good chances to get their first trophy from this competition but hopefully Guardiola wouldn't do the same mistakes just like from his previous final match on 2021 and at that time Manchester City as the favourite but they were failed to win from Chelsea because lose 1-0 from Havertz goal

This sums it up pretty well and if you want to put it into just a few words, those few words be "they must not concede an early goal". That would open the box for the Manchester City in all regards conceivable. Ball possession, counter attacking themselves, taking time off the clock with 20-30 contacts in a row and no pressure at all at that moment. Inter would have to throw their tactic aboard at some point in time and there is never the right moment to open up against Manchester City. I think this duel is going to be very tactical and Manchester City will press, but only modestly without facing too much counter attack potential. I can't actually wait for the game to start.

Just one step away for Man City to realize the treble winner and I think they have a pretty good chance of making that happen. They just got their second trophy, and the victory against Man United should have further boosted their morale and confidence. It's just that they also have to realize that Inter Milan is not an easy opponent to beat. As long as Man City plays like they have been doing so far and they are not burdened with the final atmosphere, I think they will be able to beat Inter Milan.

Based on what Manchester city has demonstrated in some of the competition in this season, showed that this match will not going to be a tough match because Inter Milan don't have the strength to stop Manchester city not to embrace this UCL trophy. If Manchester city coach can make all the players that participated In the FA cup trophy to play this UCL final, I believe they will definitely achieve victory from Inter Milan because their strikers have the skills of achieving goals in any competition. I think, this match will end up 3-1 for the favour of Manchester city because they are well organized in this season to defeat any strong teams which they will definitely apply it in this final battle.

Soccer is game of unpredictable results and surprises with no one can predict what is going to happen in next moment just like this no one was expecting Intermilan will be in final of the UEFA Champions Leagues against Manchester City, but they achieve this after beating few top teams in this event even their season in Serie A is not as expected but still they have done good performance and have 3rd spot and now going to face Manchester City in final of the Champions League with on their day they can achieve better result.

Manchester City is surely currently one of the best club in world with their available sources and also having great hard work by Pepe in last few years but still things can go in any way while they are looking for the first title of their history if they are able to won against Intermilan after beating Manchester United into FA Cup their confidence level is high for having treble into this season.

Yes, it's true that this will be a good achievement for Manchester City if it really can have a championship trophy in the Champions League and get 3 titles.
Not only that, Pep Guardiola as a coach also a title because he managed to become a coach who led his team to win 3 leagues in one season.
We'll see and hopefully what we hope for Manchester City they can actually achieve.

Too many predictions about final of the Champions League with Manchester City is clearly hot favourite in this final even we all know this is going to be high pressure game with both teams will give their best for the win and any result is possible because Champions League have history of surprises and shocking results like we have Real Madrid champions in last season with no one expecting them as champions in early rounds, but they won double right now Manchester City is clearly leading from all way but still Inter can change the momentum and also can break hearts of Citizens which could be surely disastrous for them and their fans.

Even I am also favouring them for this title and also completing their treble but still it's never been easy while we will all have perfect results on ground.

We can't but we will able to take it as a reliable data to determine which line up that will be used by manchester city against intermilan. I think that there will be no different and the only change that will happen on the goal keeper of manchester city.
It seems like that final UCL gonna be the last match from gundogan with manchester city. Inter has some good stats in the defensive line. Im not feeling doubt if intermilan will able to create a very good defensive line.

I saw that if bastoni was interesting to copy rudiger's trick against haaland. Bastoni has been preparing everything to stop haaland at any cost. I hope that bastoni itself will able to do that and then his teammate will able to guard haaland's friends.

That being said that if haaland needs to be guarded only with a defender. It will make city's attacking line has no room to launch attack.
There's no need to use more than 1 player to guarded haaland.

Maybe not many people talk about it. namely about the meeting of these two teams in a match on the field. Because there is very little information about it. Because Man City vs Inter Milan have never even had a match meeting in the near future.

And the last meeting of these two teams was on July 31, 2011 in the Super Cup competition. And at that time Man City managed to win with a score of 3-0. I know this meeting cannot be used as any reference for the final match later. but I want to see history in the meeting of these two teams. There are at least 2 encounters that I found. and one of the others in a friendly match in 2010 And Inter Milan won the match with a score of 3-0.

And now the two teams meet again after 12 years of not meeting on the field. And the meeting between the two is in a special place, namely in the Final match to fight for the UCL Trophy this season.

Not just normal football fans but also bookmakers, the ods are extremely in man cit favour and i never expected to see such odds to be honest, i looked for previous finals and the ods was never being like this in a champoins league final

Lukaku is a very strong man in mentality that helped him to survive through many challenges in his career. From Anderlecht, Chelsea, West Brom, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Inter Milan, he has many chaos in his career. There are some seasons when Lukaku was under deep mud at Chelsea (two times), Manchester United and even Inter Milan with this season.

However we can not deny that Lukaku is a very dangerous striker when he is in form when his strength covers all his weaknesses. If he can win Champions League, we should congratulate him about that but if he won't, I don't feel any regret. Even Ronaldo Brazil, Ibrahimovic, Totti did not win Champions League and frankly Lukaku is far in quality than those legendary players.

If you are eligible to play in a big final match like Champions League, you are due want to play it, enjoy it and surely want to win it. All clubs play in a final match do want to win it to lift the trophy. Inter Milan would be the same but they will have to overcome themselves first, exceed their normal performance to beat a strong opposition like Manchester City.

It will be a very big test for Inter Milan but if they go through it successfully, they will be a very memorable Champions League winner by beating one of strongest clubs in Europe latest years and in this season.

@Prince Malik I too believe that Inter will try and hurt City on the counter but City have gotten themselves under unnecessary pressure with the talks of winning the treble and sometimes player’s can underperform due to such pressure. Furthermore people are definitely underestimating Inter and thus if Inter can take a lead then it’ll become very interesting to watch and hopefully they can then go on to win the match too.

I don't think we can compare between fa cup final and UCL final, no matter what the line up will be i believe the club will have better motivation and will be more realistic against inter Milan, i believe inter mission will be very complicated and they should focus on the defense if they want to make the surprise and get the trophy

There are so many metricts that will be greatly affecting the performance from the club but my concern was on the starting line up. In my opinion that if manchester city gonna use same line ups like when it was facing manchester united in the final of FA cup.
Intermilan can learn from manchester united. Intermilan just need to be even better in the defensive line compared with manchester united.

Im sure that if intermilan gonna use lukaku instead of dzeko as this guy is always able helping team mates to give free space while he was holding one or more players on his line.

He was having capability to make it even better compared with haaland in term of holding its opponents and make its team mates get free space.

But I can't be sure about it and I think there is a possibility for Inter Milan to win this game against Manchester City and since Inter Milan's completely unstable situation in some games they were performing very well recently I won't be surprised if I see them winning this game.
However, with the experience I know from Guardiola he is not a coach to get into traps and he knows how to beat Inter Milan and Inzaghi in the final match.

Manchester City have the storyline to currently intimidate any other team regardless of any old record they have. Their players are very good and very confident in their abilities. The coach is also very good and knows the exact players that every game needs. They have a better chance and unstoppable in the Champions League final. If the Manchester City players don't get overconfident that winning Inter Milan is already a job done then they can actually do the job. But if overconfidence gets in, they can make mistakes that would hurt them.

Manchester city players are just extraordinary and this has Pep Guardiola written all over it because if this set of players were playing under another manager, they won't be getting the result that Pep Guardiola is making his squad to get. Manchester city has so many talents that even when their strikers aren't scoring they have options from different angles that goals can come from. At the moment it seems Gündoğan is their go to guy for goals. He almost scored an hat trick the last time the squad had a cup to win but later settled for just two goals and both were astonishing goals.

One thing unique about Manchester city beating Bayern Munich and Real Madrid on their road to the finals is the way they did it. At both occasions they damaged the two clubs by scoring them alots of goals and made the giant clubs look little. They did the same thing they would had down to a smaller clubs to the big guys of the champions league and that just shows how talented Manchester city is. I think it's just destiny for pep Guardiola to lead this squad to the champion league final and win it. Inter Milan has a very difficult taks ahead of them.
