Liverpool made good use of the space for Nunez's first goal, and they also capitalized on Thibaut Courtois mistake when Salah scored the second. But after that, Vinicius appeared spectacular and restored the team's enthusiasm and confidence before the first half ended. Uniquely, Vinicius and Salah both took advantage of the opponent's goalkeeper's mistakes to score goals.

Second half disastrous for Liverpool, 3 extra goals at Anfield have ravaged them so quickly without giving them much chance in the second leg. A score of 2-5 is astonishing, it's bad to hope to come back in the second leg. However, Liverpool still have a chance for something good in the second leg. No one should underestimate them.

The mistakes from the two goal keepers are something we need to get used to. The new style of playing from the back has made goalkeepers more of a sweeper players and it will certainly lead to error. Yesterday’s error was caused mostly by the wet field.

Mathematically Liverpool still has a chance to turn it around they need just four goals to go through, we have witnessed they overturn something similar before against Barcelona. But the question now is, is this Liverpool team capable of such? I think no because they seems to be lacking in every department not then that they were a force to reckon

I think that was also a great comeback from Real Madrid. But it’s Real Madrid! That’s what they do. Despite being down by two goals just in the first half, they didn’t relent and went ahead to win the game comfortably. There’s the  distinction between the domestic league and the champions league.
Liverpool’s flame was quickly extinguished. Personally, I don’t see Liverpool winning the game in the second leg of the game. Liverpool could hold Real Madrid to a draw. And I don’t think a lot of goals would be scored like in the first leg.

I put 20 USD in a double bet today

Wow hehehe, to be honest I never expected a match like Real vs Liverpool, 5x2
After the 2 goals of Liverpool I thought it was a lost match for Real Madrid, and a lost bet for me, but it was an amazing match, 100% champions league, unfortunately it was round of 16, that kind of match we usually see at quarters or semi-finals, incredible.

I earn 139 of a 20 bet

Did anyone else here bet on Real Madrid and Napoli victories?
Both teams played away from home, it was an atypical round.

Good bet! Personally, I bet only on Napoli (more precisely, I added them to my multibet). By the way, even though the events in the game developed very quickly, I managed to notice that at the moment when Real lost 0-2, the quotes for their victory were 16 - it would be nice to place a bet at this point right?  Roll Eyes

I was just too sure of Madrid's victory yesterday I know Liverpool was just opportune to have scored the two goals and with Benzema given one assist and scoring two goals Benzema never disappoints and apart from the goals real Madrid has six goals on target, Liverpool was having more ball possession than real Madrid it was a well-played game yesterday.
Normally I knew Liverpool weren’t going to get the whole 3 points to themselves even when they were 2-0 up. They have been poor this season and defensively they were always going to fumble when under pressure. When the gold started coming in I knew was going to be more than 2. You can’t hide an attack of Vinicius, KARIM Benzema and Rodrigyo for 90mins. They were always going to score and I have always knew Madrid as a team that is good with come backs.

Amazing start from Liverpool but it all turned rather sour quite quickly. Great goal initially from Darwin Nunez though. That flick would be one of the best goals in Champions league this season. Madrid look stronger than ever now.
Real Madrid extraordinary comeback after falling two goals behind Liverpool made Ancelotti team very comfortable when they played the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu. The 5-2 score was disastrous for Liverpool, the results obtained at Anfield made Liverpool efforts to go to the quarter-finals very difficult, they had to win with a four goal difference.
Liverpool who are not in their best form, will obviously find it difficult to score against Real Madrid four times without reply, the result at Anfield has given a bright spot on which team will move on to the quarter-finals.
Real Madrid is very superior and able to turn things around, Reall Madrid, the king of comeback. Real Madrid's mentality against Liverpool in the Champions League is extraordinary and rarely does a team do that at Anfield, trailing 2:0 the Real Madid players didn't even hang their heads and managed to turn the score around to 2-5 because of Real Madrid's UCL DNA.

Real Madrid is a very different team in the Champions League.  When you look at the game they played in the champions league, there is an incredible difference.  They experience unexpected losses in the league, but they take on a different, warrior identity with the jerseys they wear in the Champions League.  Their 5-2 win against Liverpool shows this.  There is no other explanation for achieving this from 2-0 behind.

I didn't watch Napoli but only watched from the live score because at the moment Liverpool-Madrid is much more tense and worth watching.
The first half ended 2-2 now and of course this made me feel optimistic again after Madrid looked bad at the start of the first half which made me want to stop watching this game.

The score between Real Madrid and Liverpool was very interesting, even though at the beginning of the game I saw Liverpool fully holding the game with a 2-0 lead over Real Madrid in the first 20 minutes of the first half, but Real Madrid was able to balance the score in the first half through a goal scored in 21 and 36 minutes, the match was getting more tense and more exciting to watch, but Real Madrid was able to finish very well in the second half by winning 5-2 over Liverpool.
The whole match between Liverpool and Real Madrid was like a movie to me. Starting from the acting of Courtio to the acting of Alison and down to the scoreline everything was a show.
I didn't believe Liverpool will easily give away thier 2 lucky goals just in the first half. As Real Madrid equalised the match in the first half, I already knew it was over for Real Madrid. The only thing Liverpool needed to win the match was to win the first half but they failed.

Long before the match was held between Real Madrid and Liverpool, we had assumed that this match would be led by Real Madrid, but what surprised me was that during the first half the action from the Liverpool team created two score gaps with Real Madrid, I think Liverpool will stated Our assumption was wrong, here Liverpool failed to defend the score which I thought the first half would not have equalized the score until the first half was over, but Real Madrid was able to create a good thing, they were able to equalize the score in just a few minutes.

This is a very good opportunity for Real Madrid to continue advancing to the next round, winning against Liverpool in the first leg makes them even more secure to progress, even though they have to win the second leg against Liverpool, and this match is important for both teams, to determine where one of them would advance to the next round. Liverpool need to work hard to get a ticket to the next round, and so is Real Madrid, they will only remain consistent with their performance in order to get a ticket to the next round.

Real Madrid is mentally very strong. At home to Liverpool, you know, from 2-0 then the ending was 5 goals returned to 2-5 and even that wasn't because there was a red card or it was still 11 vs 11 players. The key is one, Madrid players immediately correct mistakes, unlike Liverpool who still use the same pattern after conceding.

Nacho : CB, RB, LB
Alaba : LB, CB, DMF, CMF
Camavinga : CMF, DMF, LB
Valverde : CMF, RMF, RW, RB

Madrid is blessed with several players who are multi-positioned, on several occasions in the middle of a game they can be changed according to tactical needs, and become an option when their core players are injured. Well, even so, it's too risky to see the current Madrid squad, which lacks back-up players & suitable coatings.
Hopefully can defend the Champions league title this season.

Real Madrid are the champions and have won the Champions League more then any other team. They are 3 goals up against 1 of the worst teams in the Champions League. I am confident they will find it easy to win the 2nd leg and they can rest some of their 1st team players. Real Madrid will be at home which will help their confidence to. Liverpool play better at home and they struggle at away matches. Real Madrid do not need to attack in the 2nd leg and can counter attack when Liverpool go all out for the win.

Manchester City have not had the best of seasons in the Premier League but they should still beat Leipzig who have lost a lot of their best players recently.

At the moment, the quotes for the victory of Real in the second match are 2.00 - less than 50%, and this is quite understandable because in this game Real will not need a victory, even a small defeat will suit them. But still, I can assume that Real will win since Liverpool will have to go all-in and Real will catch them on contact attacks. But it will be a first team game, with no rest for the leaders, Liverpool are a strong team that should not be underestimated.

Real Madrid came back from 2-0 down, to beat Liverpool 5-2 following the first leg of the UCL match. They should be trusted until the final whistle. Thus, Real Madrid acted like they're used to do. There was a thought that Liverpool would take back all the goals they had received from Real Madrid previously, but we see how things turned out. With the win at Anfield, Real Madrid advances to the UCL quarterfinals. They're on their way to retaining the UCL trophy.

I think that was also a great comeback from Real Madrid. But it’s Real Madrid! That’s what they do. Despite being down by two goals just in the first half, they didn’t relent and went ahead to win the game comfortably. There’s the  distinction between the domestic league and the champions league.

I didn't believe that Real Madrid had the advantage in the first leg yesterday. Previously, I think Real Madrid would not be able to win in the first leg, but I was wrong. Real Madrid are still a strong team in the UCL, Liverpool can't take advantage of their 2-0 advantage it's really bad gameplay. To qualify for the next round Liverpool must win with a big score, it is a very difficult problem for them, but I agree in the second leg there probably won't be a lot of goals like the first leg.

Seeing the track record of porto and leipzig in the domestic league and i think that leipzign has pretty bad performance. Porto is still as good as benfica. It seems like that the match between inter against porto is much more riskier compared with manchester city against leipzig. I personally thought that if betting city has more chance to win caused by leipzig is not doing well in bundesliga. Leipzig was also losing against berlin. The match between city against liepzig is quite easy to predict.

The thing that makes me feel doubt about city is city will play against leipzig without its best player de bruyne. We do know that how big contribution from de bruyne for city in EPL. De bruyne is actually needed by city in UCL.
Of the 21 matches that have taken place in the Domestic league, Porto has only suffered two defeats against Rio Ave and Benfica, this record is much better compared to Inter Milan, who have played 23 matches in Serie-A and have suffered five defeats, Although the Portuguese league is different from the Italian league which has its differences. Meanwhile in the qualifying round for the Champions League Inter Milan is much better than Porto, so betting on Inter Milan's victory is far more likely.

The only British representative that can be relied on is Manchester City, even though in this match Bruyne cannot play, but in my opinion Manchester City has a much more chance of getting full points at home to RB Leipzig and I will bet on Manchester City's win in this match.

Just before the Liverpool vs Real Madrid match started, I said that it wasn't funny at all that the bookies underestimated us in the Champions League even though it was at Anfield. Obviously it was a big mistake they made, but it doesn't matter because I hope lots of gamblers enjoy the win. It's up to who underestimates, they only feel the consequences. lol

Right now we have to quickly refocus on the league match against Atletico Madrid as derby match. The victory at Liverpool must make the squad more confident to win this home match. There is not much time to rest, Real Madrid really need to focus on securing 3 more points.
No one could have imagined that Liverpool would be defeated by such a margin by Real Madrid. I have seen English clubs always lose to La Liga clubs. But now it is very challenging for Liverpool to survive in the Super Sixteen of the UEFA Champions League. Liverpool must beat Liverpool 4-0 to advance to the next round. If Liverpool can beat Real Madrid 4-0 then they can go to the next round, I think it's almost impossible for Liverpool.

OK, Liverpool have already done such a thing in the recent past, 3 years ago against Barcelona in the Champions League when they beat Barcelona 4:0 and went through to the next round of the competition despite losing the first leg 3:0 if I remember correctly. I believe that everyone remembers that extraordinary, miraculous match. After that, Liverpool became the European champion for the last time.
However, back then Liverpool played much better, had a better team and was not in such a big crisis of game and results as it is today.
That's why I'm not optimistic that Liverpool can perform a miracle like against Barcelona again.

The previous season was also the same as Real Madrid had a comeback after they lost at the start and in the end we were able to see how Real Madrid's game was so extraordinary when it was in the UCL competition, this we know and that Real Madrid still deserves to win another title.

It is very difficult for Liverpool to win at home to Real Madrid while it is difficult to score 3-0 without reply for Liverpool because even then there will be extra time on the other hand I believe Real Madrid will definitely secure another victory.
Real Madrid are expert in coming back from losses, if you check last season they did it successfully against PSG and they also did it against Manchester City and they did it against Chelsea. This season they did it against Liverpool so they know how to come back from losses in Champions League and that is how they will continue to do it in as much as those experienced footballers are still in the club to continue to spice up the club.

I don't think that Liverpool have any chance to qualify for the second round, they blew up their chances in the first half of the first leg when they wete leading with two goals

Real Madrid made it harder then they needed to against Liverpool but at least they can rest players for the 2nd leg. I was not expecting them to win 5-2 and that might be important because I was concerned for Bayern and Real Madrid because of their injuries but Real Madrid can change their 1st team players and play a younger team against Liverpool in the 2nd leg without fear of getting knocked out. Bayern are still in trouble because they are forced to play their 1st team players and I think they might struggle against PSG.

Manchester City should beat RB leipzig. Kevin De Bruyne will run the game in the midfield and RB Leipzig do not have the players to compete with him.
Real Madrid would never contemplate of playing a younger team in their second leg against Liverpool, recall Liverpool always create upset and comeback might overturn the 5-2 deficit, it happened in 2019 UCL when they lost 3-0 against Barcelona and later overturned the lost to an emphatic 4-0 win at Anfield, though the team might be off-form however I don't think Ancelloti will gamble with his team selection, Liverpool lost it by conceding many goals against their opponent in Anfield, it's will be a big and insurmountable task to defeat Real Madrid at Bernabau.

It was a good betting round for me from the last matches. I'm not so keen on putting a bet tonight. City and Inter are heavy favorites and with decent odds on ML too but I'm just skeptical since I am clueless on how their opponents may perform. I'm thinking of double chance but odds are just too low for me. Not worth the risk.
