I think that was also a great comeback from Real Madrid. But it’s Real Madrid! That’s what they do. Despite being down by two goals just in the first half, they didn’t relent and went ahead to win the game comfortably. There’s the distinction between the domestic league and the champions league.
Liverpool’s flame was quickly extinguished. Personally, I don’t see Liverpool winning the game in the second leg of the game. Liverpool could hold Real Madrid to a draw. And I don’t think a lot of goals would be scored like in the first leg.
Liverpool made good use of the space for Nunez's first goal, and they also capitalized on Thibaut Courtois mistake when Salah scored the second. But after that, Vinicius appeared spectacular and restored the team's enthusiasm and confidence before the first half ended. Uniquely, Vinicius and Salah both took advantage of the opponent's goalkeeper's mistakes to score goals.
Second half disastrous for Liverpool, 3 extra goals at Anfield have ravaged them so quickly without giving them much chance in the second leg. A score of 2-5 is astonishing, it's bad to hope to come back in the second leg. However, Liverpool still have a chance for something good in the second leg. No one should underestimate them.
I gotta sayy the game was like an emotional rollercoaster, man. Courtois and Nunez slipped up, which was a great start, and then Sallah scored, givin us some breathin room. But let me tell ya, Vinicius was a pain in the but, and Real Madrid's team performance was legit impressive. The second half was straight-up trash, tho, with three goals conceded in quick succession. The outlook for the second leg aint lookin tooo hot, especially given Liverpool's currant form. I mean, mathmaticaly speakin, a comeback's still possible, but let's be real, it's a long shot. That being said, ya can never underestimate Liverpool's ability to pull off a miracle. But with their current struggles and lack of form, it's tuff to imagine them makin a comeback of that scale. Oh, and did ya catch how the mistakes from both keepers were due to the new style of playin from the bak? Yeah, that's the kind of stuff we'll probably see more of in the future.
