That's the most likely thing to happen but to last 90 minutes and if you succeed by surviving another 30 minutes it clearly needs something more extra, especially now that Manchester City is clearly a figure who really can't just rely on defense.

We all know Manchester City are the more superior team here and have higher chances of winning the trophy than Inter Milan. If Inter Milan are coming for a defensive minded game maybe after scoring a goal, I don’t think they can withstand the pressure of Manchester City for a full 90 mins without them netting one or two goals. The match is going to be a bit interesting if Inter gives all they can to win the match but I still have stronger hopes that Manchester City will prevail against Inter Milan.

I'm not trying to underestimate Inter Milan's strength because after all they still have hope of coming out as champions, but talking about other strengths and counts Man City is far superior. Unless Inter Milan can implement a good defensive strategy and not let Man City score goals, then they can try their luck through a penalty shootout scenario.

It is quite reasonable if the worst scenario for Manchester City is that Inter manages to hold the draw to a penalty shootout, so that the team that was so favored before can experience a mental decline in this very draining match. Regarding the previous match between Manchester City and Real Madrid, it is certain that Real Madrid will be confused about the possession game and the high pressing that is often used by Pep Guardiola. But Inter are famous for their strong defense and I think it can be an advantage for Inter to put pressure on Manchester City again.

It is only if Inter fails to seal up their defense as usual,that is when it will be very easy for Man city to win the game. Inter has their own game strategy which is a defensive game and counter attack,an this has being working perfectly for them. Man city is a very tough club be accept defeat because of the quality and determined players of the club. They are known for taking dominance of their games and will always score when they have a good opportunity because their strikers are always ready to net the post. If the match should get to penalty, I think Inter will win the trophy.
