It's been his best season to bring the Champions League trophy for the first time to Manchester City, so I don't think they'll try anything new at a time of determination like this. First of all, Inzaghi has been an improvement for Inter this season. After a really good time period with Conte in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons Conte left the team and Inzaghi was brought to the position. Conte had a Serie A title as an achievement during his time which was impressive. Inzaghi needed to do better than that to be called even a better choice. He missed the Serie A title by a slight difference last season and they weren't even in it in this one.

However Inzaghi is doing something greater right now. He has carried the team to the Champions League finale which Inter really missed. After becoming the champions in the 2009/10 season this must be the closest time they are to repeat this. However we still need to be realistic about this of course. Inter are going to face the worst kind of competitor they can for themselves.

For now, I see it like there is no way Manchester City aren't making it to the title for the first time in their history. The only thing Inter they can do against them seems like to try to defend them in a tight way and look for some counter-attacks. If their luck helps then maybe they can prevent the game from ending in 90 minutes at least.

Yeah I still recall that and I am not actually a City fan but given the opponents- Chelsea, I was actually rooting for City to win this one. It was a very bad move from Guardiola. I am still not sure why he still made that choice but that's long gone now.

I don't think he will actually make the same mistake twice especially when it's about the trophy that a big club like City hasn't win before.
