Los Blancos setbacks began to show in the middle of the season and some of its players like Benzema have been struggling with injuries very often. Madrid's management should have bought new players in the mid-season transfer market to refresh themselves, but in fact they were adamant not to carry out any activity during the transfer window. In my opinion there is no one to blame with such a situation including Ancelotti.

The defeat suffered by Manchester City must be an evaluation material for Madrid's management. I predict Real Madrid will struggle again in the Champions League in the next few editions due to being late in. regeneration process, unless Perez re-builds his project galacticos.

Well they were successful last season, they won both the CL and the la liga, thus i don't think the hierarchy at Real Madrid would be annoyed with how things panned out this season, at least they didn't end the season trophyless, they won the Copa del rey. Real Madrid would definitely be back next season, they are a giant club, thus they are always there every season competing for trophies. Ancelotti has confirmed that he will be their manager next season, and with the potential arrival of Jude Bellingham and other players they'll get, i am pretty sure they'll be very competitive next season.

Playing league games and Copa competitions it's different. I can understand why Real is better in CL they have some older players which can not keep up to play so many games so they focus on more important games. Real needs a coupe of new players so they can keep the the level of play they delivered past years.

Real Madrid needs more powerful players to join their team if not, I believe the upcoming season could be worse than the current one. This is because Real Madrid has always relied on three players, Benzema, Kroos, and Modric, but these players are getting older and less effective, so I believe Real Madrid needs more powerful players to play more stronger in the next season.

Real Madrid played poorly on that day, and I think Manchester City took advantage of their weaknesses to defeat them in the second leg of the semifinal match. Barcelona will improve also, and I'm tipping them to do better both in the Champions League and also in the Spanish League likewise.

Real Madrid will have to get replacements for Luka Modric, Cavajal and also Karim Benzema, they had issues which for myself are very obvious, they need younger and talented player's to fill in for these players, not to forget ( Toni Kroos )
Manchester City deserves the Champions League, i would love to see Erling Haaland winning the Ballon d'or in the Premier League that can only be possible if he wins the Champions League against Inter Milan.

I don't think it was a mystery because after all Real Madrid is still a very strong team and we have seen that in the beginning of the second half against Manchester City. That was some of the best soccer they have played this season and you could literally see how Manchester City had trouble to defend against it and regain control over the game. That was only possible because De Bruyne scored that spectacular goal.

But until then Real Madrid eliminated Liverpool in the round of 16 with a total of 6-2 goals. Afterwards they took on Chelsea with 4-0 goals. One difference compared to other seasons was that both Liverpool and Chelsea haven't been in good shape, but still the way Real Madrid solved both those problems was very convincing. They also demonstrated their strength in the second leg against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey. But they found their masters with Manchester City in the second leg and that was not surprising. You could feel that Manchester City would confidently finish them off.

Pep Guardiola deserves all the praises and accolades that he is getting. No doubt this is one of the best season's in his career as he is set to win the treble. I can gamble that Manchester City will win the Fa Cup and Champions league to add to the EapL title. It will not be a bad gamble.
But, personally my respect for Guardiola will reduce if he loses the Champions League to inter Milan.
