The counterattack strategy looks pretty clever for this match. Bayern's squad is stronger anyway and I don't think Manchester will have many chances to score goals.
If they manage not to concede a goal at least in the first half of the match, their chances increase towards the end of the match and they can manage to get points from this match. An enjoyable match will be waiting for us, let's see how the good teams will perform in the first matches of this year

It's quite reasonable to play on defense when visiting Bayern and try to win at least a point. Even with Brighton United played most of the time as number two, so today I am sure that Bayern will dominate and United will look for luck on the counterattack. But overall, I don’t believe that United can somehow be saved today, most likely, Bayern will win confidently. Taking into account the fact that 1-0 and 4-0 differ little in terms of points scored, I wish Bayern to win big - I want to listen to TX’s next excuses.

A draw with Newcastle could mean that AC Milan may not going to knockout phase. However, this season, Milan was lucky to get a UCL spot, because this position should have belonged to Juventus if not been subject to a points deduction.

AC Milan attack on Newcastle United was very active in the first half and continued in the second half. The Magpies' defense line was good, able to win tackles up to 65% and goalkeeper Pope was able to make 8 saves.
Nick Pope performed very well in last night's match and getting the best player in this match was well deserved. The draw will make Eddie Howe evaluate his team in the next matches against PSG and Dortmund.

of all the matchday 1 matches, the ones that were the least interesting were Milan vs Newcastle and Lazio vs Atletico Madrid, which I previously mentioned here if I was curious and wanted to see the performance of the teams I mentioned. because at first I doubted Newcastle but looking at the history of last season this team had a good performance in the UCL even though it not reach the highest peak but at least it could draw with Milan.
on the one hand, Lazio, which I think has a slightly bad performance in the domestic league, but I am a little doubtful that if in the domestic league Lazio performs badly, it does not necessarily mean that in the UCL, they will just compete as they are and it turns out my prediction was correct if Lazio was able to survive the match with Atletico Madrid, which was successful got 1 point and it was a great start for these two teams.

Newcastle didn't play impressively, it was more defense oriented, I know considering it a fair play wouldn't be bad considering it's their first game ever since after decades of not playing in the UCL, but then they should have given no chance to the fact that it's a first time after a very long time, it should have been seen as a privilege and utilizing it to it's maximum would have been a better option to explore.

Going by stats it's true they conceded no goal but they had less to almost no shots on target, same as their possession. So how else would you say their performance was not poor enough to be considered as one. Managing to draw was a fair one at least it earned them a point, which can be considered fair for a start but if Newcastle should continue with this style of play I don't see them going far enough

I will say they only did their best but it wasn't good enough to be seen as a good play, although they still have room enough for improvement and make this first time after a very long while worth it. I hope to see Newcastle with a better performance in subsequent games and hope the really do go far in the champion's league and probably make their appearance a good one.

Last night as this was first for the Champions League we have good time for the betters and all matches won by favorite teams nothing surprising happened in these matches and surely if punters have no profit from these matches then they can't take profit in future as well with things could be much difficult and surprising in coming rounds.

It is true that all the teams that get full points are the top seeds in their respective groups, the draw between Lazio vs Atletico might be a dramatic one. Barcelona was quite promising with a big win over Antwerp 5-0 without reply, Joao Felix appeared impressive. It seems true, the results will enable the top teams to achieve victory.

Apart from the Man United vs Bayern Munchen match, there is a match between Arsenal vs PSV which I think is quite interesting. I look forward to Arsenal strength in the UCL this season, after they have been quite tough and consistent in the EPL. Whether they will be promising enough in the group phase and succeed in becoming group favorites will be interesting to watch.

Not all match results are the expected results based on the level of favourites, there are 2 matches that did not meet expectations, they're AC Milan and Lazio, they should be able to win easily IMO, but the defense of Newcastle and Atletico Madrid can withstand attacks from their opponents.

Regarding today match, rather than seeing Bayern Munich against Manchester United, I'm more interested in seeing Union Berlin's performance when they play away against Real Madrid. Do you have any predictions about this match?
