Among the matches played yesterday, there was no match whose outcome surprised me. We saw the expected results, the favorite teams won the match. We will probably see similar results in tonight's matches.
The match I am eagerly awaiting is the match between Bayern and Manchester United tonight. Everyone sees Bayern as the favorite team, but Manchester can win points from this match if they can defend well

Another Manchester team will play in Champions League, they Manchester United will be hosted by Bayern Munich. It will be a very big test for Ten Hag and his players after some bad results in Premier League. A big match with Bayern Munich will be a big challenge for them but also a good chance for them to get a bounce and turn their form entirely different after that.

Big clubs need big matches to feel who they are and Manchester United players would feel more exciting when they play in Champions League. It is a dream of many players and sure they will not play there with lack of motivation like in Premier League.

Bayern Munich with a new striker, Harry Kane, will be ready to destroy Manchester United at their home stadium. Kane will face with Manchester United a first time after he left Tottenham Hotspur. This match is a chance for Kane to show his value for Bayern Munich that does not need him to win in Bundesliga but in Champions League.
I'm waiting patiently for this particular game and honestly it's going to be worth the wait. Why? We get to see another game where Man UTD defense will be tested and I'm certain there's one player who's just ready to test Andre Onana again at his new club and that will be Harry Kane.
The champions league is not a new event for the two sides and as Newcastle can be excused for their less than impressive performance yesterday, I don't expect same to repeat itself today.
With Man UTD suffering more loss of players to injury with Aaron Wan Bissaka and Amrabat joining the list, can they be able to withstand in form Bayern as they travel to the Allianz Arena today? Will Onana be able to withstand the onslaught of shots that will come his way or will Rashford quench his thirst for goals in today's game?

In a game like this most especially in the Champion League group every point is considered vital, Ac Milan created so many countless scoring opportunities from the start of the match to the end. While for Newcastle, it was a heroic point for them, Ac Milan overwhelmed Newcastle it was a disappointing result to me for Milan having had a lot of opportunities to have won the match but could not find a way through Newcastle played like they were underdog and in many ways there were not they were outplayed but not outmatched

Well they failed to utilize their chances and it caused them to draw the match Newcastle where definitely the underdogs in the match cause i can't remember the last time they  featured in the tournament but they still managed to hold Milan to a draw which is enough for them to be happy about, not losing their first champions league game after so many years of inexperience.

If Acmilan had wom the game yesterday it would had put them in a better position on the table but they're currently in the 3rd position in the Group F though they still got same points with Newcastle who are currently in the second position,  so far in their group PSG is the only team that secured three points this week's match day and they're the most likely to quality in the first position because i don't think any other team in their group would be very tough for them to beat
Getting 1 point in an away game is not a bad result for Newcastle but we also have to see overall that Newcastle's performance was very bad in their first match in the UCL, maybe this draw is just because of luck for them but if the Newcastle team doesn't improve I think in the match Their next match will be very difficult, especially as Newcastle joins a quite difficult group with AC MIlan, Dormund and PSG.

And for C MIlan the result of this draw was quite bad even though they were able to control the match but no goals were scored, AC Milan's front line played quite badly and this should be used as material for the team's evaluation.

I was really surprised with the result of the Milan - Newcastle game. Milan was in full control of the game. Newcastle started to play even more defensive after realizing that they can't fight back much. Milan had so many goal opportunities in both half but there was still no goal at the end.

Especially the first half was something else. Milan wasted unbelievable goal opportunities. Newcastle should consider themselves lucky about this one point. The result could have been much worse for them if Milan were a little better at finishing.

With the current conditions that is the best result from Newcastle. They realise they are not as good as Milan. One point at San Siro is great for a comer after 10 years of not participating. Their player stats are below Milan's. Although I am quite difficult to see this Group. Because the other 2 teams PSG and Dortmund are equally strong. This 1 point also opens their chances of qualifying for the top 16. Although there are still 5 matches left.

The match ended in a draw. Obviously, such a result can be considered positive for Newcastle, but for Milan it is definitely a loss of points. PSG were still able to beat Dortmund, for Enrique this is a good result, against the backdrop of poor results in Ligue 1, a victory in the Champions League will give him confidence, in the end this will definitely be a priority tournament for PSG and perhaps this is not the most difficult group for them.

It is not clear what can be expected from the Milan - Newcastle match, their situation is radically different. Milan, after a successful start, was defeated by Inter in the final round, and Newcastle achieved a long-awaited victory after a series of defeats. Perhaps it would be logical to see a draw in this match, but I also assume that Milan will try to win the home match, although it is not clear how much of an impact such a major defeat had on the team.

On the Newcastle United side, of course they can be lucky because they have a goalkeeper who performs at his best because otherwise Newcastle United could have conceded a lot of goals in this match. The final result was that both teams collected 1 point in this first leg.

A good away point
They haven't played in the Champions League for 20 years, against a big Italian team in the first game, and got 1 point.
A well fought point in Italy.
And I agree with you, Newcastle is Very, very lucky.
Their performance was much better against Brentford.
The central midfield is not working and is starved of possession.
Bad performance on the biggest stage but very lucky Smiley

Poor Performance, not even a shot on target for Newcastle
Absent from the Champions League for 20 Years means nothing when you can not attack and get a shot on goal. This season should either lead to the sack of Eddie Howe or backing they still do not look like a side to qualify.
They have just improved on the way they defend. One point is not enough but good they had it.
Lazio Goalkeeper scoring yesterday was the highlight of the day.
I don't know about Newcastle's poor performance... It seems to me that on the contrary they showed a good level, considering that this is their first game in the Champions League... Looking at Milan's stats, Newcastle didn't concede a goal and managed to draw away... I think Newcastle played well...

well for many of the Newcastle players and Howe himself this was their first taste of champion league football initially Newcastle did not look overawed by the occasion as the played the ball around confidently well, and also attack with numbers it is understandable for Newcastle who was last seen in the champions league last in 2003 and now making a return to play in champions league game if the want to go far than this group stage they must have to show more than the displayed with Milan

Upcoming match in Champion League Real Madrid vs Union Berlin

First appearance for Union Berlin participating in UEFA Champion League after finishing on 4th standings placed last season on Bundesliga, its looks amazing achievement for Union Berlin who success promotion to Bundesliga competition without four years have been success get Champion League spot standings. Against most winning Champion League tittle Real Madrid not easily on opening match for Union Berlin due still inconsistency performance in domestic league and have away to face Real Madrid with unbeaten record in domestic league. Personally, Real Madrid is favorable team for getting three points. I want to see Jude Bellingham performance in Champion League with Real Madrid because he has quit well performance in La Liga and managed top scorer awhile, will have impressive performance on first match in Champion League?

Just now did I take the time to look into the game Lazio vs. Atletico because I thought what is all the buzz about, but hell yeah. What an incredible header that was by the goalkeeper! Not the best striker in the world could have done better! This is so amazing and those are the goals a player will and can never forget. Now it remains to be seen whether this point will play a crucial role at the end, but for the sake of specialty I hope that this goal does count when the group stage is finished and it helps Lazio to advance to the next round. That would be amazing.

The first matches of the Champions League groups are always important. It is better to get 1 point than to lose the match because there are 4 teams in the group and every point is important to get out of the group. The event that attracted the most attention among the matches played yesterday was the goalkeeper scoring a goal in extra time. He made a really good header. It was a moment that football fans will never forget.

I hope this point they got will help them get out of the group because for this goal to have meaning, the team has to get out of the group.

However, there was one match that was quite boring with no goals being scored, namely Milan vs Newcastle and even though I know there were a lot of saves made by the Newcastle goalkeeper, Newcastle in this match still seemed to only be aiming for a draw rather than counterattacking. Undecided

The games were easy for Barcelona
Barcelona will have a good Champions league campaign this season with how well they are playing, back to scoring many goals. Felix already becoming a favorite for Barcelona in just two games, also scoring two goals today as he score for them in their La Liga game. Xavi is using Felix well in a position that is good for his style of play, he will have many goals and assist this season for Barcelona. I will like to see how Barcelona will play against bigger teams as the competition continues.

Barcelona will able to go to the play off easily without any problem since the club has porto as the strongest competitor in the group. The rest of the teams like shaktar or antwerp can be easily beaten by barcelona.
In my opinion if finishing at the first of second place will not that bad for barcelona but it's likely barcelona will be leading the competition in this group this time.
Barcelona will perform better in Champions league than what they did in the previous season, the players are very coordinated in their games. It was so easy for Barcelona to defeat antwerp,  they dominated the game that in the first half they had already scored three goals,  and in the second half was also great, Barcelona was able to score two goals to make the goals total of five. Barcelona would have ended the game with six goal just that lamine yamal missed a good opportunity that would have been a goal for him.

The results are not that surprising for big teams like Manchester City and Barcelona who won easily against weak teams in their groups. However, several other results were no less exciting, such as PSG vs Dortmund which was finally won by the host PSG with a score of 2-0 and also Porto who managed to beat the host Galatasaray with a score of 1-3. For Leipzig, from the start, I had no doubts at all about the performance of this German team because basically their current attack line is also one of the strongest and they managed to beat hosts Young Boys with a score of 1-3.

However, there was one match that was quite boring with no goals being scored, namely Milan vs Newcastle and even though I know there were a lot of saves made by the Newcastle goalkeeper, Newcastle in this match still seemed to only be aiming for a draw rather than counterattacking. Undecided

Watching the highlight between AC Milan Vs Newcastle and during the match i can see AC Milan were very dominate the match that they were successfully to pushed Newcastle not develop to their game and Milan got several opportunities to scores but unfortunately Milan players were wasted those opportunities and they have to satisfied with this result however i think this result is good start for Newcastle because at least they didn't lose in the first match
AC Milan could not take advantage of the home game to win the match in the first match of the Champions League group phase. If you look at last night's AC Milan vs Newcastle match, you can see that the AC Milan players are still overshadowed by their crushing defeat to Inter Milan, so the Milan players' mental state is still down. Even though Milan dominated the match and had many opportunities, the finishing was poor, especially the opportunity obtained by Rafael Leao who should have scored a goal but he wasted the opportunity. Milan must immediately get up if they want to qualify from the group because the future matches will be even tougher if they don't fix it immediately.

You're right, poor finishing is the problem what they do with 15 shots without a goal we know Milan can be relied on in the Italian league but in the Champions League everything seems to change, playing at home they can't do anything so what about away game? should we say Milan are the first team to be knocked out? 2 teams from the Italian League were unable to take advantage of the opportunity to play at home Lazio and Milan.

Eddie Howe was very instrumental in making Newcastle what it is today. Indeed, the start of this season was not very impressive for Newcastle, but they also have to be realistic that in the UCL it is very difficult to compete and they are facing tough opponents.
I don't think that solving Newcastle's current problems is by sacking Eddie Howe, in fact that would be a worse thing.
The series results they achieved were quite good, even though if we look at the performance of the Newcastle team it was very bad, but they still have time and opportunity to improve.
I thought Newcastle's game last night wasn't too bad. It's true that Newcastle didn't create many chances, but we have to understand that because Newcastle has been absent from the Champions League stage for a long time and Eddie Howe's performance should be appreciated because after all he succeeded in holding AC Milan to a draw at the San Siro. This marks a good start for the next match. Because it is not easy to get points at home to Milan. Moreover, the team that Newcastle played against was a semifinalist last season. Therefore it would be very inappropriate to fire Eddie Howe.

Barcelona managed to get maximum points and Joao Felix appeared different from usual. His dream was to play at Barcelona and when his wish came true he showed an extraordinary game. Even as a loan player, Joao Felix wants to prove to Barcelona that bringing him in was the right decision.
I don't think Barcelona managed to win the game as their performance was deserving of a win, they earned every of the points they got although it was obviously an easy one as they had a week opponent who didn't give them a hard time wining, but it doesn't sound very ok to say they managed to get maximum point from that game, it was a good one for a UCL opening.

Felix proved him self worthy of been given a chance to play especially at the UCL opening wasn't a wrong but right choice as he did performed really well, he was well noticed and he showed much strength and resilience, if he continues in that spirit he will soon earn a permanent spot and will most likely be featured in every game Barcelona will be playing next.

Barcelona I think will make it far in the UCL as they appear to be very prepared and ready for any thing ahead of them, with the likes of Felix and his other team mates every game will definitely take a different shape which will be mostly aimed at victory. I hope to see Barcelona at their very best both in the UCL and the la Liga. I wish it were possible to bring back the glorious days of Barcelona.

I will like to see how Barcelona will play against bigger teams as the competition continues.
Well, I was quite entertained by Barcelona game, because almost all the players were on fire so this match looked very easy to play. Since the first half minutes, the difference in strength has been very different. From a series of attacks, Xavi squad was able to turn things around quickly. I focus on Joao Felix who contributed 2 goals in the first UCL match which really deserves appreciation, on the other hand, his club Atletico Madrid actually experienced an unpleasant match after having to accept the goalkeeper's header in a crucial minute. A goal that could be said to be fantastic and a brave decision to take.

Barcelona's overall performance was very good in this match. Every Barcelona player has performed well in his position. The three attacking players in particular, JoaoFelix, Lewandowski and Raphinha, performed well. Barcelona won 5-0 against Real Betis in La Liga, and they also won 5-0 in the Champions League match. Xavi took advantage of Royal Antwerp's poor defense. Along with Barcelona's attacking players, their defense has also been very strong this season. If Barcelona's defenders continue to perform like this, the team can maintain continuity in the Champions League.
