Galatasaray beat Molde yesterday, albeit with difficulty, and qualified for the Champions League group stage. With this win, they took an important point in Turkey and moved up to 9th place. Galatasaray took the lead in the 7th minute with a penalty. Icardi took the penalty and scored. In the second half, Molde equalized in the 66th minute, but it would not be enough for them to advance.  After Molde scored another goal in the last minutes but it was canceled for offside, Galatasaray scored and won 2-1.
Unexpectedly, when Molde put up quite a fierce resistance in this match, when the first leg was played at Molde's home ground, Galatasaray was able to win and many people predicted that Galatasaray would be able to win easily in the second leg because it was played at their home ground.
However, in this match Molde made the match fierce, even though their chances were very small.
However, if you look at the quality, I think Galatasaray really deserves to qualify, they are quite strong this season, especially with the arrival of Icardi making quite significant changes to their front line.
Icardi's transfer is an important point for Galatasaray and he is making that felt in every game. Icardi and Muslera are two of the best signings of Galatasaray in recent seasons. Icardi has become an integral part of the team with his performance. I don't think anyone expected Molde to be so resilient. They showed that they have the potential to beat Galatasaray at home but of course they couldn't do it. When we look at the squad value and squad of Galatasaray, we can easily say that they have a far superior squad than Molde.
I can see why everyone is excited about Icardi's move to Galatasaray. Have you even seen him play? He always seems to get goals. He was paired with Muslera? Galatasaray did something very smart. But, and this is where I'm a little bit confused, why didn't Galatasaray win the game against Molde even though Torreira was back? Galatasaray should have easily beaten them based on how good their team was. And now there are rumours that Ramos is going to join Galatasaray? Oh boy, if that happens! Their attack might become as strong as their defence. But here's the thing: having a good team doesn't mean you'll win every game. The team has to have the right vibe! But that's just my opinion.

Today in UEFA Champions League Young Boys vs Maccabi Haifa two team match, Young Boys scored 3 goals and won the match. In today's match, Maccabi Haifa team did not win the match due to poor performance. Maccabi Haifa team players did not score any goals. Young Boys played in this match.  C. Itten scored the first goal in the 23rd minute. A.  Seck scored the 2nd goal in the 28th minute. And F. Ugrinic scored the 3rd goal in the 46th minute. In this match, 3 goals were scored before halftime and no goals were scored after halftime by the players of both teams.
Impressive counter attacks from young boys. Im feeling amazing with how young boys can properly finished all the chances against maccabi haifa. Haifa has been trying so hard in breaking young's defensive line but it's unsuccessful.
Haifa was doing more pressure when the team was losing some scores. So many inaccurate attacks from haifa combined with all of horrible finishing by its players. Young boys deserve a spot to compete in the UCL soon.
young can be patiently waiting for the golden time to did counter attack. Haifa seemed very hard in blocking any counter attack by young. Three goal attempts and all of thes can be properly finished by young's attackers.
young trashing haifa. A perfect result from young. Im very happy this club was playing so crazily against haifa.

Manchester city and Real Madrid had something that Barcelona didn't have and that's the financial backing to sign all this top players that are making waves recently and not because Barcelona is no longer a top club. They still have a history and player would want to sign for them instead of other clubs and this came to display last season when they had transfer window war with Chelsea on some top players that both club wanted and they choose Barcelona over Chelsea on all occasions and that's to show that Barcelona still got what it takes but they're lacking the finance backing to actually chase after this players as they can't offer them the same wages as those these other two clubs will offer them and players are going where the money is this days.

Regarding financial issues, Barcelona is running out of money to buy players. They regret letting Messi go, who gave their best and helped them win many titles. And they could not bring Messi or Neymar back to Camp Nou in the last transfer season. Financial constraints force them to calculate carefully before making a decision.

Currently I would put Barcelona ahead of Real Madrid. Because all the players of the Barcelona team play the match with great responsibility. On the other hand, if Real Madrid has a dedicated striker, I think the team will be complete.

Yes, the current Barcelona will be more appreciated than Real Madrid. Barcelona has experienced difficult days and gradually entered the perfect trajectory since Messi's departure. As for Real Madrid, they are also transforming when key striker Benzema joined the Saudi Arabia team. They still need to find the perfect replacement.

Galatasaray who beat Molde 2-1, go to the UEFA Champions League Group Stage. Galatasaray have manage it to the group stage maybe but their game played was very bad. Galatasaray gave unnecessarily much positions to Molde. Galatasaray will be facing some hard oppenents on the group stage. If Galatasaray has such a bad performance like yesterday, it will be a disgraced in the group stage.

Galatasaray only sorrow against Molde because they underestimated Molde, so when you play with that mentallity you play a lot worst of your potential.

Asides of this mental side of the game, Turkish teams always strug so much in european competitions, i dont know why they suffer in that way. No matter how good was the starters.

Although Galatasaray may in your view underestimate Molde but still, the end result is also Galatasaray still wins and qualifies for the Champion League. But yes, even if for example in the second leg yesterday Galatasaray only got a draw too, Galatasaray would still qualify. Because the fact is that Galatasaray has won on aggregate, so it doesn't matter if Galatasaray might underestimate Molde if the result is Galatasaray still wins. Unless, if Galatasaray had underestimated Molde and failed to win and also failed to qualify, then of course the case would be a blunder but at this moment Galatasaray did not commit any blunder.

Madrid is probably much more experienced in the UCL than Barcelona, even Barcelona failed last season, if you look at both of them playing well, just look at the domestic league at the moment Madrid is far superior with 3 wins in a row and established them at the top of the standings so it looks like they are right really consistent even though they have not found a striker who can replace benzema's position.

There are too many rumors about Mbappe being able to replace Benzema as a striker in Madrid, but it hasn't been achieved yet and the results are still the same. Madrid with the current squad is also sufficient according to Ancelotti, but we'll see how it goes, no one knows how the two will play in the UCL this season, but what I see in the domestic league is that Madrid is far ahead of Barcelona.

Galatasaray against Molde, Galatasaray must not underestimate their opponent, otherwise they will tend to lose focus and neglect the necessary preparations. This can result in substandard performance and unwanted results.
because competition in European competition is often tighter and the level of difficulty is higher than domestic competition. Turkish teams will most likely face tougher and more experienced opponents on the European stage.
Every team that has made it to this stage in European competition has certain qualities that make them worthy of being there. and it's true what you said, the Turkish team has always had difficulty competing with other European teams, maybe because of their mental attitude and quality of play, other factors such as experience on the European stage made them unable to compete further in European competition.

You are free to put any team of your own mind in which area at the moment, but you also have to accept the fact that Barcelona have not been strong enough in the Champions League for the last two seasons. So Xavi will continue to try to make Barcelona strong again in the Champions League this season even though it won't be easy enough for him this season because Real Madrid won't necessarily be weak this season even if you say Real Madrid doesn't have a dedicated striker.

I believe that the times have changed a lot for Barcelona because for some time they have been a really unique club and were the first address in European soccer for most of the world's best talents. Many of their top players came from their own youth and have all been among the very best. But this is different now and since all those players from this huge era are gone (like Iniesta and Messi), the success also stopped kind of. They are now not this club that everybody wants to go to and they have a harder time to convince the top players to come to them instead of Real Madrid or Manchester City.

Manchester city and Real Madrid had something that Barcelona didn't have and that's the financial backing to sign all this top players that are making waves recently and not because Barcelona is no longer a top club. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that there are still financial fair play rules in place that have nothing to do with the potential money that could be pumped into the clubs by some investor or financial backer. If it was like that, Manchester City would have never gotten under scrutiny because one of the least problems they have is a lack of money I guess. Same for Chelsea, they are under investigation or have been penalized for accounting techniques that stretch transfer fees over a long period of time. They also don't suffer from a lack of money. Again, I would probably have to thoroughly study the topic and if you know something about it, please share it. But from what I understood the Spanish rules are very strict in general and, in contrast to other leagues, the rules are also enforced. I think that is also why Messi had to leave in the end.

Looking at the remaining Champions League matches to be played today, AEK will host Antwerp at home. I expect Antwerp to go through, they will be a bit more comfortable as they won the first game 1-0 at home, but there is no guarantee for them at the moment. Both teams are likely to score.
Copenhagen vs Rakow is another match that I expect to end in a Copenhagen victory. Rakow may be a strong opponent, but I don't think they are a strong enough opponent for Copenhagen, so the winner of this match will be Copenhagen.
The last match is perhaps the most important match of the day. PSV will host Rangers at home. PSV gained an important advantage for the round by drawing 2-2 in the away match. By defeating Rangers at home, they will be the side to advance. When we look at the squad quality and performances, I see PSV as one step ahead.
Copenhagen in the comfortable position because they have already won 1-0 in the first leg and for today match Copenhagen only required to playing draw if they want to qualified and i can see the bookmakers is very confident to placed Copenhagen as the favourite because they had odds @1.68 and i think Copenhagen most likely will be qualified to the next stage
AEK Athens in the difficult situations because as a host they will attempts to win the match with 2 goals margin or more from Antwerp and this is difficult task because their performance at domestic league also still not impressive and for this match i have to agree with you that Antwerp probably will aiming draw result because their chances to qualified is more bigger compared to AEK Athens
Just liked i said before big match for today is PSV vs Rangers because both teams playing draw in the first leg so they have equal chances to qualified and Rangers have experience to beat PSV last season so PSV have to be careful to Rangers because in the last 3 matches PSV have unable to beat Rangers but PSV has odds @1.52 it's clearly they are the favourite to win the match

I almost won this bet if Maccabi Haifa also scored and it might have been a good night for me to make money from the multibet results. Grin

Previously, I predicted that the Young Boys match against Maccabi Haifa would be exciting because the two teams had the same 0-0 aggregate, so the opportunities for mutual goals were still open. But in fact it was Young Boys who appeared to press since the first half which made their victory even more guaranteed. Then Galatassaray against Molde, in the first half I really believed in Galatassaray's quick advantage with the penalty goal scored by Mauro Icardi but in the second half Hestad scored the equalizer which made my hopes quite dashed. But luckily Angelino scored the second goal which made Galatassaray win and my bet was successful in getting half a win because the handicap bet was -0.75.
Another match was Panathinaikos against Braga, even though they were at home and were trailing 1-2 on aggregate to Braga, that didn't make Panathinaikos give up, but unfortunately towards the final minute Braga scored the winning goal which made the final aggregate 1-3. Well, anyway I just had all the good matches and I didn't expect to lose the chance to win the bet in a match that should have been raining goals. But, congrats to Young Boys, Galatasaray and Braga who made it through to the champions league group phase. Wink

Close results are not always evidence of equal strength of the teams. For example, PSV made no sense to strain against the Rangers, given the fact that they had a return game at home where they could comfortably resolve the issue. It's like City vs Leipzig - 0-0 away and 7-0 at home. Here the balance of power is different, but I think that the situation is similar. And by the way, I think that betting on PSV with odds of 1.52 is a good choice.
Indeed.
Champions League results are more tricky than domestic leagues, sometimes they are just random.
Three games were played tonight and as expected Galatasaray, Young Boys and Braga all qualified. We will see if the rest will qualify or not by tomorrow.

Especially if it's a group stage where the separate game isn't that important and some big clubs (seeded in Pot 1 and Pot 2) are fielding some players in the rotation. Remembering last season, I think that in the first two games of the group stage it makes sense to make a lot of small bets on outsiders - on average this can be profitable.
That is why it troubles me to bet in the Champions League early stages. I believe the statement that every draw does not show equal strength. There are many factors considerable in the Champions League such as weather while this does not apply to domestic leagues.
Galatasary being able to sign one world striker Icardi is a sign that they want to do something unique this year. Remember no small team in Champions league.

When we look at the squad value and squad of Galatasaray, we can easily say that they have a far superior squad than Molde.

Galatasaray are really strong in the attacking line especially thanks to Icardi. His regular contribution with goals is a big help for winning matches. However even he can't save the team when the team effort is bad. I wasn't expecting them to get a win in this match after watching the team performance against Molde.

Torreira was back as well this time but there was still something wrong. Molde were still able to find goal chances without problems where Galatasaray should have dominated normally.

Hopefully Ramos is joining Galatasaray after reaching the group stage. They really need some reinforcement in defense.
After Mauro Icardi's performances last season with Galatasaray, I was thinking Paris Saint Germaine where gonna bring him back to Parc des Princes but was surprised to see PSG allow him join the Turkish club on a permanent deal and he has repaid the faith and love from Galatasaray with incredible performances.
Galatasaray might not be necessary good in playing attacking football, but they know they have a clinical striker in the person of Icardi who can help them convert the chances whenever it comes. I won't be surprised if they retain the Turkish Super Lig this season.

Galatasaray had a hard time in Molde match. With the match being 1-1, Molde started to come to the opponent's goal more. Having a star player like Icardi in both games, Galatasaray managed to solve the match.

Galatasaray will join the champions league for the 17th time. I wonder how the pairings in the groups will be. They will enter the draw from the 4th bag. There are very big teams in the 1st and 2nd bags. If Galatasaray doesn't improve the game it played in the preliminary qualifiers, it will be very difficult in the groups.

The biggest share in Galatasaray's success belongs to Icardi, but I would like to mention Muslera as well. Muslera closed the castle in very clear positions, causing his team to leave the field with a victory in both Molde matches.

Bookmakers are high on the odds of PSV winning today... But in the first match in Glasgow there was a 2-2 draw and it seems to me that Rangers have equal chances to win... I don't understand why the odds are so different... But probably a good bet would be just both teams to score...
Maybe they are expecting a dramatic revenge from PSV this season.
Both teams were in this exact situation last season after a 2 all draw in the first leg and Rangers advanced beating PSV 1-nil. This season the script is rewritten and all odds are favoring PSV to win this time around.

PSV are playing at home and have made a good start to the season, while Rangers have to also look ahead to the weekend and their clash with Celtic.

- Jay -

For me this will be the most interesting match today... I think PSV will win, but I wouldn't be surprised if the opposite happens... Of course on home field PSV have more chances to win, but Rangers are an experienced team... I'm sure it will be a good battle, because the exit to the group stage is at stake...
Yes, I agree with your opinion. Maybe this will be a very exciting match because these two teams have very even Head to Head scores and both teams have good abilities. According to my predictions, tonight's match between PSV VS RANGERS will end in a draw with a score of 1 - 1 because each team has good quality and game strategy. However, this is just my prediction, because in a match there will be many undesirable events, whether it be injuries or red cards. Therefore, the match between these two teams will be very fierce and very tense.
