Newcastle are in a tough Group F. But I believe they will qualify in this phase after seeing their ever-improving play but remember this is not an easy matter maybe one of the teams in this group will try to win.

But I doubt PSG, Newcastle and AC Milan have any chance of qualifying. Our prediction. Lol

Man United and Arsenal are in the middle of a safe group.  Grin

Newcastle are in a tough group. dortmund, psg and milan are three very strong teams,  and it is impossible to predict which two teams qualify for the next round from this group.

psg and newcastle teams can be considered favourites.  However  psg's recent situation is very weak.  The team is not performing well in Ligue 1 matches either. The team has become completely dependent on mbappe for scores. In this situation, it is very difficult for psg to do well in the champions league. On the other hand  newcastle is a new team on the champions league platform. They are not experienced enough. The milan team also qualified for the semi-finals of the champions League last season. This team cannot be called weak in any way . So it is impossible to predict which two teams will qualify for the Round of 16 from Group F.

It's hard to find a player at Lionel Messi's level who has good ball skills and free kicks. Barcelona don't have that now and of course they always struggle to find a way out when expecting a free kick goal in a match. Honestly, I don't know who is worthy of being relied on to do that apart from Raphinha, Lewandowski or Ilkay Gundogan, but Barcelona is still having difficulty finding that in their squad.

I think Lamine Yamal might be able to transform into a versatile player for Barcelona if he trains hard. Lamine has good skills and he also has good passing accuracy, so if Xavi is really able to improve his skills then Yamal will be very useful for Barcelona in the coming seasons.
I am more inclined to see good players who are able to carry out free kicks by Gundogan or Raphinha. Obviously there is no ideal replacement figure who can match Lionel Messi in taking free kicks at the moment, but over time this figure will be in the Barcelona squad because now they have talented young players who continue to struggle to make place in the main squad . Xavi still trusts Lewandowski as the person who takes free kicks, but his ability has not yet reached his level of satisfaction.

Lamine Yamal is just playing for his professional career in the Barcelona senior team and I don't think he is ready to take on this task, especially since the mentality of playing in the Champions League is very different. But as a preparatory step, I agree that if Xavi will give him the opportunity and it also depends on how Lamine Yamal can train to continue developing his talent and potential.

I've just seen the draw
The most difficult group of all seems to be group F of course, but I need mention here, as in World Cups, the groups of death, usually don't turn out as expected
But anyone in F will struggle, all four clubs have a chance of qualifying

Man City did well in a theoretically weaker group and have all conditions to end with the best campaign
Group B seems to be the most balanced
Group C will also have 2 interesting games with Napoli vs Real Madrid

I'm curious to see how PSG will play in this Champions League, since the team has changed a lot, without Neymar, without Messi...

I am obviously not happy aboit this draw due to some certain things. I am a fan of England teams and I have been having a great affection for Newcastle but I am just surprised to see a deadly fixture for them.
PSG
Dortmund
AC Millan
Newcastle
This is not a good draw for a club that first appeared in the Champions League recently. This means that Newcastle might not qualify from the group stage of this year's Champions league. Just sad

Well, this is a pretty good group stage draw and seeing as Dortmund's chances of qualifying are very slim here. Meanwhile, if we look at group A, Manchester United will be accompanied by Bayern Munich and in group B there will be last season's European League champions, Sevilla, who will be accompanied by Arsenal. Apart from that, in Group C there is the defending Scudetto champion Napoli who will be in the same group as the king of the champions league, Real Madrid. There is also a treble winner last season, Manchester City, who will still be accompanied by Leipzig. I think those are just a few of the teams that are favored enough to qualify for the knockout rounds. However, if you look at Group H, which is filled with Barcelona and several non-seeded teams, if Barcelona still can't qualify, that would be outrageous.

on a good day everybody can beat everybody and consequently every club can reach the next round. in any case the strongest group after today's draw. in my eyes the 'weakest' group (if you can say that) is group e with feyenoord, atletico, lazio and celtic. the first matchday starts september 19-20. let the games begin Grin

It seems that the entire group stage exists only for the sake of us seeing one interesting group:

Group F: PSG Dortmund Milan Newcastle

This is a real group of death and here from the first round there will be a battle not for life but for death. The rest of the groups look like jokes compared to this one. Well, in principle, it's very good: in other groups you can watch when the first and second teams play each other (like Bayern vs United), but here all the games will be good.

PSG have been top of Ligue 1 for a while now and automatically qualify for the Champions League group stage. They had the best players in their squad - Messi, Neymar, Mbappe. With such a squad they couldn't win the Champions League. As for Manchester City, they won for the first time last year, before that they had bad seasons like PSG. Now they need to try to confirm the title.

PSG this season no longer has Messi and Neymar in its squad and of course, although PSG will still play in the Champions League this season. But still, it will be difficult for PSG to reach the Champions League final, in fact I believe PSG will probably only reach the last 16 or maybe only reach the quarter-finals. Because after all, the quality of PSG and Manchester City is clearly very different, and you cannot equate their quality. Anyway, even though Manchester City just won the Champions League title last season. But in reality, Manchester City has had high consistency in reaching the semifinals and finals in the Champions League in the previous few seasons as well. Obviously that's very different from PSG, who still don't have the ability to go further in the Champions League every season.

PSG this season is really bad and without Neymar and Messi i think they cannot expect to win the trophy. Plus with the Mbappe situation things arent looking bright and i dont even see them winning the french league let alone the champions league this season.

Newcastle United get in a toughest group but it is more than a nightmare for them. They did not expect to be in such group. PSG, Dortmund, Milan and Newcastle United will have to beat each other to get only two tickets to go next.

Did I miss any new terms in Champions League this season? Do we still have 2 clubs from each group to go next?

Will PSG have to stop this season after a group stage? It will certainly push Mbappe to leave PSG.

]For me this draw is not so important if it is missed. Every game from the group phase to the final is something you can't miss as a football fan.
It is a big day for most teams that will be playing in the champions League this season as they would know the team that they would come against in the group stage after the draw is concluded. Newcastle United, Manchester United and arsenal who have not been in the champions League for a long time will hope that they would get easy teams in the group stages, so that they can stay long in the competition and not get knocked out from the group stage. Tomorrow will be for the Europa draw

Every season many say PSG are favourites and every season they lose in 1/8 or 1/4. Of course this season without Messi and Neymar it will be impossible for them to play in the Champions League. Even in Ligue 1 they will have difficulties. I was saying that not necessarily the star squad plays a big role. The main thing is experience.

Xavi really needs a player who is able to execute free kicks perfectly, after Messi departure, Barcelona does not yet have players who are reliable in executing free kicks. When facing an opponent with a stronger level of defense, a backup strategy is needed to find goals, one of which is by using free kicks.
So far, Barcelona has always been overwhelmed when facing teams that are more focused on defense, of course Barcelona players will find it difficult to penetrate the opponent's defense due to implementing a bus parking strategy. Xavi must be able to apply a precise strategy to go further in the UCL, last season's failures need to be evaluated to keep Barcelona's journey in the UCL this season smooth.

Snip.
Adjusting the strategy based on the opponent's strategy that will be faced is what Xavi has in mind for Barcelona. Of course, Barcelona still has great difficulty scoring goals against a team that dominates its defense well and only uses counter attacks, but this season Xavi must think of a solution so that Barcelona doesn't fail again like last season.

Barceloana is one of the favorites from La Liga for this season's Champions League after Real Madrid was in first place. Xavi has had some problems due to player injuries, but I believe he will do his best so that Barcelona can reach a good level season after season.

Rather than thinking about how to get a player that can execute free kicks for barcelona. It's better for him to hear a complaint that has come from lewandowski. Lewandowski has openly criticized xavi's strategy.
Quote
In a recent interview with Eleven Sports, Lewandowski didn't hesitate to be somewhat critical of some of Xavi's tactics. "We are Barcelona and we are expected not only to win, but to play good attacking football," Lewandowski said. "Lately that hasn't been as it should be, so we've been struggling to create more chances in games. When we introduce Ferran Torres or Ansu Fati, two players who go forward, we create more chances. Sometimes we don't play enough attacking players and I don't have support, so I look for the best solution for the team".

Xavi needs to fix this problem first before he will be dealing with another problem. It's even much more important for xavi to find a solution to get someone who can support lewandowski. He probably needs attacking midfielder or another striker to help him.

They're at the end of their careers, so it's only natural that if there aren't two of them at UCL that we've enjoyed their games the last couple of years and that the best games compete perfectly.
Young stars will continue to emerge and believe me with the new era of the new generation we will also see exciting games and competitions UCL is the most exciting of other leagues and this is a lot to wait for.
I often hear the expression that every era has its people and everyone has its time. All stars have their light, but among thousands of stars, only a few have a bright enough light.

The two old stars are still shining now, because the new stars are still not shining due to the lack of media reporting on them like Ronaldo and Messi. The media is still shy about playing its role in bringing to the surface new stars who will become assets for world football organizers.
Maybe the new stars will be the players from Norway and France.

Please do not miss the draw that we as football fans should not miss her. Tongue
For me this draw is not so important if it is missed. Every game from the group phase to the final is something you can't miss as a football fan.

UEFA Champions League for 2023/2024 Draw will begin in just few minutes and we have 4 pots and more teams for this season to participate, It’s will be different than the previous season especially with a huge absence of players that we got use to see and watch every year after they have been taken by Saudi Professional League and for me it’s so unfortunate that getting use to them will be less exciting for this season and probably we will see something different with the new players that going to shine and show us a new style of football. Why not!
Personally even that i didn’t like what happened last days I’m certain that UCL is going always to have its own taste and joy of football. Betting on new teams and making harder to except the winning team with the new young players and definitely we are going to see new stars that will compete for champions and golden foot reward.
For those who wish to follow the draw show this evening i found that Manchester City YouTube channel are streaming a Live.

For the first time in 20 years, the UEFA Champions League will not feature either of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. It's surely the end of a glorious and very exciting era in European football. Never in the history of the competition has there been two players who have been as consistent as the duo.
That being said, their absence will give room for younger stars to emerge which I think we already has some names that many are banking on to become the next stars of the competition. The draw for the group stage takes place later today in the hilly and beautiful city of Monaco and we can't wait for the return of club football's most prestigious competition.
Cristiano Ronaldo made his debut in the UCL in 2003, while Messi made his debut in the 2005-2006 season. That being said, they have dominated Europe top leagues for more than 15 years. It is true that their era has ended in Europe, and they are enjoying a new role in a different league. I think all players will have the opportunity to be like Ronaldo or Messi, but will not be able to surpass them.

That's right besides the Champions League group draw, there will also be an award for UEFA Men's Player of the Year.
It will feel different when the Champions League is without the presence of players who have dominated football for more than a decade, but the Champions League is the Champions League, even without them there are new players appearing at this time. And if we realize that this season, not only are these 2 players not there, but other players, especially those who went to the SPL, are also not there. There are several names there, Benzema and Neymar are one of them.
It will be difficult to find a replacement for these 2 players (Messi and Ronaldo), not in terms of ability, but in terms of their ability to be consistent over the years. Maybe players will be born who have better abilities than them, but maintaining consistency for more than a decade is very difficult.

Thursday will be the draw day, lets see how the groups are going to shape. Some teams get unlucky draws and some teams do get very lucky draws, that is why sometimes you see teams that are better end up not going to last 16 and some bad teams to go to last 16 anyway. Like last year how Barcelona failed to do it because they had two great teams on the groups and that was normal for them to end up losing, both Bayern and Inter played very well.

I think it will be fun to see because it basically shapes the future of our bets as well and that is an important thing. I believe that it is not going to be simple but it will also not be impossible neither. I know that it will get to a point where it will be profitable if the top two of each group is much better than the last two.
I hope that the big teams can be brought together in a pot. So we will see more heated competition between them to reach the round of 16. For now, it's likely that other teams don't want them in the same pot as Manchester City or Real Madrid because they could destroy their dreams early.  lol

In my opinion, this can't be done because the shuffling is determined by the ranking of each league, that's why in one grub the big clubs can't be put together in the grub, everyone certainly expects that to happen, but UEFA has a different view from us, because this is a business problem in football if the big clubs are knocked out in the round of 16, of course in the semifinal and final matches it is no longer interesting to watch, this is not a matter of belittling small clubs because UEFA wants these small clubs to be able to compete in the biggest arena In football, the division of big clubs into group qualifications is done to make it look interesting to watch.
It is true that the shuffling and division of clubs into groups is greatly influenced by league rankings and various other considerations. The aim of this arrangement is to create exciting and competitive fixtures, as well as providing an opportunity for clubs of various levels to compete at major events. It is important for UEFA and the other football governing bodies to strike a balance between the attractiveness of the game and the fairness of the competition.
