I'm not going to compare players but I think Hojlund is a young player and he is a good finisher I think he is very similar to Haaland and even his name is similar. However these players are not compatible because the performance of Haaland was much better than Hojlund, but I think not Ten Hag can have a player to have a better and close race with other teams like Manchester City and Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Maybe quite the same, because after all he is a talented player. but for now Haaland is on a different level. He has proven himself to be successful and doing very well at his club. And Hojlund just might prove it. Because of that, it's just a matter of how Ten Hag will hone it so that this talented player becomes an extraordinary player, able to match his strength with Haaland and be recognized throughout the world. And how in the future Hojlund can make a very good and consistent contribution at Man United. This might not be easy for her, but it doesn't mean it's impossible.

I am personally optimistic about the Barcelona team in the Champions League this time. Because this team has performed amazingly in La Liga last season. However, after watching a few matches this time, what I understand is that Barcelona will be very focused on the Champions League.

Real madrid has more disadvantages next season compared with barcelona.

- Old and underperform players
- Lost its best striker (Benzema contributed a lot last season)

It makes me feel that if real madrid may be trophyless in upcoming season. Im feeling if barcelona looks like superior compared with real madrid. The results from pre season matches were very disappointing for me as madrid fans. My expectation for real madrid especially josely and bellingham were too big.
Madrid can always rely upon vini. this guy is always becoming a player with most contribution to the club. Real madrid is also having garbage backs.

The result against juventus told me a lot of madrid really needs a new right back at this moment. Some players are losing their prime.

Vini and valverde were the only players that still consistent at this moment.

Modric is the only old player they still have that is playing in Real Madrid, the rest of them are new players and when put in good use, they will be productive for the club, with proper training one year of Ancelotti remaining contracts in Real Madrid is big enough to produce something as good bye trophy for the club, it is going to give him an unforgotten legacy for long period of time. Benzema didn't have a great season last summer, but I wouldn't deny that he didn't play well, he quite did but he fell down badly after winning Ballon D'or in 2022.

Real Madrid will certainly bring a striker except if Ancelotti don't want to win anything at all, I have seen most of the gamble matches he used Bellingham, Vinicious and Rodrigo and is not going like the previous Real Madrid we grow to know. I am still anticipating that lowkey, they have been in talk to have Mbape to Real Madrid but they don't want to have media attention and that is why they have been silent else if they continue like this, I will be force to put a stop in watching their matches, they can't used their irresponsibility to give me heartache.

Getting the Champions League title is not as easy as other domestic leagues, the Champions League is a collection of great teams all over Europe so it will not be easy for Barcelona to achieve that dream even though they have brought their team to a great performance.

The Champions League has a different sensation and the mentality of coaches and players is still influential if they do not have deep experience in the UCL, I believe Barcelona this time will be better to go to UCL even though the previous season could only stop at the group stage.
Every coach's dream is to win UCL. For this, the economic strength of the team is also very important. Not every team, only one team can achieve this. Last year, Manchester City looked like an excellent team and they won the UCL. It's been a great season for Pep and we can see similar things happen this year. They will have tough opponents and UCL will again be the most watched tournament.
But it's not an easy task for a coach. Yes, there is only one team that has won but there is one team that has won consecutively; Real Madrid.
Although Manchester City is able to win the UCL but it is not impossible to win again even though it is still said to be a tough team, not that I don't believe Manchester City but that dream is many other clubs he dreams of.
With the club being able to win the UCL, financially and also the market price of players increases.
In as much as Manchester City would like to dominate the UEFA Champions League competition after winning the European title last season for the first time in the history of the club, there's a minimal chances of establishing such dominance in Europe especially now that many other clubs are wary of Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola is known for his relentlessness to achieve records that seems very to difficult to get but I think dominating the UEFA Champions League is something that may never happen

Barcelona doesn't have a good financial situation like Manchester City, PSG, and other teams but still, they have a good coach and there are in a good mental situation after winning the La Liga title against Real Madrid while there was a huge gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona and this can have a good effect on this team.
Yes, the problem of financial seems not over yet for Barcelona. But sometimes they are linked with top players, they still signed new players. It means Barcelona has the ability to improve their squad although they don't have much money. Having a good coach is a positive factor for Barcelona, their squad is managed by the right coach. As far as a good coach like Xavi manages Barcelona, they are not impossible to win any title.

But still, if they want to race for the Champions League, I think Barcelona need to hire more and better players to race with other top teams in this tournament.
Barcelona has enough squad to join the race for the title. Even they don't sign many new players, they have the capability to win UCL. They prove that they could win La Liga title, they will never win La Liga if they have bad squad.

From some of the criteria you mention, I think Barcelona has it, such as the mentality of the players, coaches and others. They have competent experience in the Champions League competition. I want to add a little, apart from mentality, experience and compactness that influence, the last there is luck which will also determine the journey of a club in conquer the Champions League title, including Barcelona.
The experience and mentality of Barcelona's players in the Champions League do exist and it will also still be there next season at Barcelona, but in the last two seasons Barcelona have often failed in the Champions League which maybe it's just that there hasn't been a luck factor for Barcelona. And next season I also want to see if the experience and mentality of the Barcelona team as a whole are still there, because other teams have the same thing when they play in the Champions League.

Barcelona doesn't have a good financial situation like Manchester City, PSG, and other teams but still, they have a good coach and there are in a good mental situation after winning the La Liga title against Real Madrid while there was a huge gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona and this can have a good effect on this team.
But still, if they want to race for the Champions League, I think Barcelonaneed to hire more and better players to race with other top teams in this tournament.

Despite Barcelona's good form in the previous season I still have a feeling that it will be very difficult for them to win the Champions League, I think they will reach the semi-finals at most. It's like they're not ready for it anyway, it's hard to explain it. Nevertheless, we will have to see how they start their season in general, and the group stage in particular is worth paying attention to

I agree with your opinion but an experienced team like Barcelona can surprise you at any time especially if they manage to maintain their top form next season. Xavi has managed his team and players very well, it has motivated all players to work optimally for the benefit of the team.

I believe Barcelona have less chance than Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and or maybe PSG, but Xavi has quality and he also has good squad depth to look forward to. Of course I can't fully expect Barcelona to appear in the Champions League final next season and win the title, but nothing is impossible.

Well, I disagree with you a little bit. As far as I'm concerned out of the above teams only Manchester City can cause problems for Barcelona. Real Madrid are not such a threat, PSG even less so, and Bayern.... I don't know, they were kind of tired last season, so I don't think they are that strong at the moment

NK Olimpija - Galatasaray game is normally a comfortable one for the Turkish side on paper. But currently Galatasaray are dealing with issues like being not completely ready for this season yet. They struggled against Zalgiris quite much although they managed to eliminate them at the end of the day.

But NK Olimpija is a little stronger opponent than Zalgiris. They eliminated a team like Ludogorets which were quite used to see in the CL group stage in the past. There is still a big power difference between NK Olimpija and Galatasaray but the Turkish side still need to be very careful in such games.

They wouldn't like to get a sad result against a weaker team than themselves.

Strong clubs in the Champions League on average have a strong economy that supports teams to bring in quality players, it is easier for coaches to bring in the players they want because of strong economic support. Manchester City have proven that their economic power is able to improve the quality of the team by bringing in classy players. Guardiola's effect was also very influential in Manchester City's success last season, he who has experience winning the UCL trophy with Barcelona was able to develop the players that Manchester City has to achieve historic success for the club. This season there will be more tough opponents in the UCL, Manchester City will have difficulty defending the UCL trophy if they are not consistent in maintaining the quality of their games.
Although some of the teams participating in the Champions League are not teams with good financial status like Barcelona, I believe their performance can be expected. Manchester City will certainly have a lot of trouble defending the Champions League title, but that doesn't mean they can't win it for two seasons in a row.

All teams will fight to get a ticket to the final, but there is no guarantee for anyone even though they have been the favorites from now on. I admit that Manchester City are the favourites, but Real Madrid will not lose to the favorites next season either. Arsenal, Inter and Napoli seem to be the same, but PSG cannot be underestimated with Bayern Munich either.

Considering Barcelona is profiting from these sales and all, they will have some money to do something with the club. I am not saying that they will have a much better team, they may end up with a lot worse too. However, looking at the situation at hand, we can say that they do not need to sell spotify income type of stuff to build a team. They already have some good players and they are going to end up with some decent players here and there, which will result with them doing better on the long run as well.

Financial freedom they may have is the key and if they have that then they can get some good players on positions Xavi thinks they need to get and that could make the team a lot better since it will be custom made for Xavis strategy and tactics.

The blaugrana are one of La Liga's most significant clubs. Xavi Hernandez is doing everything he can to improve his team's performance, but Barcelona is simply failing to perform effectively in the UEFA Champions League competition. Based on the times they were eliminated, I believe they have yet to meet and should improve the club as soon as feasible. The board believes that Xavi Hernandez will do an excellent job for the blaugrana next season; they require an all-around upgrade not only to compete in La Liga and Europe, but the major focus is on winning the UEFA Cup.
They played bad in both Champions League and Europa League (knock-out matches) in the last season but Xavi needs more time, as a young coach. He needs more experience in Champions League as a coach and his young players need more experience with this toughest league in Europe as well.

It's too soon to consider Xavi is a coach who like Antonio Conte and only fits with national domestic leagues but does not fit well with cups like Champions League, Europa League. I think we will need a few more seasons to have a better overview about management ability of Xavi. If Barcelona continue to improve and show better strength in La Liga, like dominate that league, but continue to fail in Champions League, we can make such conclusion about Xavi.
Yeah, it's too early to talk about their chances for winning Champions League because they are not strong enough for this even they have done good job in La Liga in last season, and again we can expect another good season from them, but Champions League is completely different place with need good experience and depth for the win which is not available in this squad even here I feel they can reach into last eight but after these things never been easy with few teams are having much better squads for this competition.

Xavi is surely one of the best, but his strategy about Champions League is completely different which is surely hurting them now with new look and improved performance we can expect good results and better competition from them.

In this case I think the definition of failed is the same as no title, and it's not only happened in the last two seasons but more than that. The last time Barcelona secure the Champions League title was in the 2014-15 season or more or less eight seasons ago. Barcelona became one of the clubs that never failed to qualify for the Champions League group phase during the 2005/++ period and that is a reference to experience as I have explain before.

This season there will be more tough opponents in the UCL, Manchester City will have difficulty defending the UCL trophy if they are not consistent in maintaining the quality of their games.

Just having enough money is not enough but we need to know the proper use of money. Manchester City has not only achieved so much success in exchange for money, the main reason for Manchester City's success is their team manager Pep Guardiola. Pep Guardiola is a very skilled man, firstly he was appointed as the manager of the team and he was given the freedom to buy players at will which is why he has been able to make this team so successful.  If we only consider money then PSG is a complete failure because they have invested a lot of money just to do well in Champions League but they have not invested so much money to do well in Champions League so far the main reason is that they have recruited good quality players but no good quality,l. Could not assign manager. PSG would have been favorites for the Champions League if they had hired quality players as well as quality managers from the start.
Now in this case I agree with you that money is not enough, they must also be able to utilize it well. And what Mamchester City do is they have both, firstly they have the money and secondly they know how to use it.
Other factors such as the coach will also have a huge impact on the game, not just the coach even the management will also be a factor where the club's success will be achieved. For example, if they want instant results, obviously it won't be easy and I can even say it's impossible, but what they do is trust Guardiola's process.

I see the easiest one is that Rakow team against Aris Limassol.I think they will qualify easily for the group stages or the minimum they will be in Europa Conference League group stages,it will be one of the few times one club from Poland make it to the group stages,as far as I know only Legia Warsaw has been able to achieve such a huge achievement from a club from that country.

Second Molde will be having an easy time against that team from Faroe Islands which is the biggest surprise for me having come so far in the Champions League qualifiers, yet I doubt they will be making anymore surprises although I think they have already made one because even if they will be eliminated they will be playing in Conference League group stages, first time I think for a team from that country.

I don't deny your opinion, it seems to be true about Real Madrid next season.
Ancelotti will of course work hard to make up for the flaws, but I think he won't be as good as he was in the last few seasons because he has one year left on his contract. Real Madrid is in danger of being without a title next season, be it La Liga or the Champions League as well as several other domestic titles, but I have hopes for everyone there to be able to do their best.

So far, we have only referred based on their performance in pre-season games. but actually, Madrid has 2 wins and 2 matches with defeats. also as I said in many other posts, if Carlo Ancelotti has been interested in experimenting with his new system. in fact, not even once did he use the 4-3-3 pattern. this makes me wonder what the Real Madrid coach is trying to implement. if Ancelotti uses his flagship formation, of course, those who need adjustments are the newcomers. Don Carlo can play joselu as a Target Man, in a 4-3-3 pattern.

However, he did not do so. so it would be very natural that many would doubt Madrid's consistency in the season to come, even though Madrid have not actually shown their best game. So, I can't really judge too much for the Spanish giants. it could be, if it's time for the competition to start. they will play a real performance. in fact, maybe Joselu can surprise us. so before this competition started again, and they haven't shown the real game. everything we say in this statement is just assumption and speculation. for sure, we will find out later when Madrid goes game by game after the competition has been rolled out.

Hojlund does have good stats at his young age. but we don't know how he will play in a team with Ten Hag strategy. if successful, United may be a team that really counts in the Champions League.
Now this is the problem, will he be suitable and able to adapt optimally to Ten Hag's tactics and also his teammates or not. So this will greatly affect his performance later at the club. However, because Ten Hag himself also wanted this player, he should have understood his playing style and strengths and weaknesses later, so he could optimize all of his strengths and talents in the team.

Actually for this I think we still have to wait how he does at Manchester United. He's a potential young player and we all know that, but in other conditions with a very young age, a fairly high price for a wonderkid and a different tension from Serie A and the Premier League
Yes, everyone is expecting it, so Hojlund is one that might be very relied on in the future. At least, his career is still long and he can really be forged very well so that his performance can be even more optimal. But on the other hand, there must be pressure on his own. he envied when he always had to be able to play optimally later, because if he made a mistake or didn't live up to expectations, he might be even more stressed.

The problem is that for now he still cannot be matched with Haaland.
Even if what you say can be true, but again it still needs to be proven because to be able to make comparisons with Haaland I think it's still a little difficult in terms of achievements and performance.
Haaland is an unquestionable striker at the moment but on the other hand, that doesn't mean Hojlund isn't capable of it. If he gets the right training and excellent support just like Haaland at Manchester City, it is not impossible that it can still happen but if there is no good support then of course this will be a little complicated for Hojlund.

Anyway, now before the draw on the 31st of August we will see some of the clubs that will be qualifying in a few days.

there are some clubs that I am expecting like Galatasaray, PSV and Marseille for this Champions qualifier. on the other hand, Copenhagen and Maccabi Haipa also impressed in their previous matches.

I can't find any reason to think the Barcelona team is still weak. Barcelona conceded just 20 goals in La Liga last season. Their defense is strong. They have shown that their defenders have the ability to perform well.

Lewandowski, the main player in Barcelona's attack, is quite talented and experienced. He was the top scorer in La Liga last season. In the friendly matches, we have seen the performance of Barcelona's young players Ansu fati and Raphinha improve. At the same time, Dembele is playing very well.

Barcelona have signed Xavi Gundogan to bolster their midfield. Barcelona's defense, midfield and attack are now strong enough. This is why I think the team has the potential to do well in next season's Champions League.
Actually we can't guess from a defensive point of view they are strong in the domestic league whereas we are in a big UCL game and in fact it's a different class, so it has to be from the UCL championship point of view how barcelona failed last season, that's why Xavi has time to fix his failure in Last season's UCL at least saw how its ability to overhaul players with a better strategy to win the league last season.

If you look at the preparation that has been mature right now maybe barcelona has looked better enough with the arrival of Gundogan also maybe they will improve in their midfield, I think this is the time when Xavi can show his quality as a coach and show other great clubs that exist in UCL, at least Barcelona has risen from adversity and maybe could have made it to the UCL final.  Cheesy

I watched Barcelona's performances in the Champions League and Europa League last season. I think Barcelona doesn't give a full effort in Champions League and Europa League matches. They gave a full effort in La Liga matches. And as a result, they won the title. Barcelona's performance in La Liga has been very consistent. But Barcelona's performance in the Champions League and Europa League matches seems to be very weak.

But winning the Champions League title is very difficult. Barcelona now have a strong squad. Coach Xavi is very hardworking. If Xavi can keep the Barcelona team stable next season too. And Barcelona's match strategy is better. So Barcelona has the potential to do well in the Champions League. But I think Xavi should make some changes in his match tactics to do well in the Champions League.

Barcelona tend to be better in terms of form, but I don't think they are fully prepared if one or two of their main players get injured. Barcelona don't have as many players on the bench as the starting XI, but they certainly have a bit of an edge.

on August 18th we would finally have the complete picture of this year's champions league, predicting which of these 20 teams will pass is very difficult because apart from a few simple pairings, there are many balanced matches, but I try to give my personal list of ten teams that they will go through.
  • Copenhagen
  • Aris-limassol
  • PSV
  • Dynamo-Zagreb
  • Klaksvik
  • Galatasaray
  • SC Braga
  • Marseille
  • Maccabi haifa
  • Rangers

Here's who I think will pass the shift. A question arises, does the new format of the Champions League start from this year?
Here Everyone is going with his own statics and predictions because now things are looking much easier after few rounds, and we have just few teams from their few are really strong enough for going through into Champions League because now recently gape of quality is widening between many teams here I am also having my predictions with mostly are OK, but I believe Klaksvik vs Moldethis match is going to be interesting and Molde can qualify for the main round of the Champions League with their available sources and enough quality which is much better than Klaksvik all others are same as you already marked, and I am also going with these predictions hopefully these teams will give us good entertainment in coming matches.
