Real Madrid prepared to face City? That is not going to happen.Real was destroyed 4-0 last year when they were playing much better than what I saw against Leipzig during this season, that was the most ugly football I have ever seen in my life and trust me I have seen more than 25 years of football, never I have seen such a boring game like that of Real Madrid against a team like Leipzig which is nowhere near the power of Manchester City.

Real for me is out 101% and they don't stand a single chance against City with that type of football that they have showed so far in the Champions League,if the odds will be good for City when playing away I am going to bet an extensive amount as I am sure they will beat Real at Bernabeu too.

Yeah I remember that horrible performance by Real Madrid. Losing by a score like that was a big shame for them.  Sad  Real Madrid even had Benzema in their lineup back then but this was still not enough to equalize the conditions. The question is how much better Real Madrid will be able to play than they did in the last 16 phase.

Because as you know their performance was really not good enough against Leipzig back then. They couldn't even win at Santiago Bernabeu which was a big surprise for me. In this way there is no way they are eliminating Manchester City.  Sad

Yes, Real Madrid played quite badly in that match, even though they were playing at home. Leipzig even has better shot attempts and shots on target than Real Madrid. So I think if Real Madrid continues to play like that, then they will only fall prey to Man City. Man City indeed has a performance that is not as impressive as last season but that was more than enough to just beat Real Madrid.

I have doubts in every key this time, only in the Atletico - Dortmund one i can see a favorite to win wich is Atletico clearly, but in the other games i dont really see it, between Man City and Real Madrid i see a 60-40 and for the other games im 50-50 in both remaining games.

I think none would be happy to see Manchester City playing against Real Madrid before the final game because very soon we should say goodbye to one of these teams which is not good for the football fans because both teams are very strong and both could have perfect performances in the Champions League games. Maybe this would be amazing to have Real Madrid against Manchester City in 5the final match of the Champions League.
Even Txiki Begiristain the director of Manchester City was sad to see the team playing against Real Madrid, but he said his team is full confidence to beat Real Madrid for another time in the quarter-final game.
But I'm sure Real Madrid is very much ready to take the revenge.

I too was upset when I saw that Man City and Madrid will meet again not in the final... Last season City easily defeated Real Madrid... Of course it will be interesting to see them meet this season, because it seems to me that Real have a chance to win this time... But probably this match should have happened in the final...
I feel the same way about not being able to see this fight in the final. With the early knockout match, the story of the Champions League takes a turn that no one saw coming. The change in Real Madrid this season is interesting. They're in first place in La Liga and have added some big players to their team, which makes them scarier than they were last year. The puzzle was complete when Jude joined the team, making it one that is about history, strength, and strategy. Man City does have Haaland, who scores a lot of goals, but Real's progress and current position at the top of La Liga give them a chance to make things right. Im not just here for a game; Im here for the great fight.

Once again we will focus on the match between Real Madrid vs Manchester City, we consider this match to be the final match which took place in the quarter-finals, yes this is a too early final. Previously, we were very excited to wait for them to face each other in the final match, but that can't happen again, because again and again they have to face each other in the quarter-finals, this is the same as last season.
Real Madrid is doing well in this season to get to where they are today because they performed well to beat many teams to be a good position to face Manchester city and, if care is not taking they will make Manchester city not to score a single goal from this game because they know how to eliminate Manchester city in the UEFA champions quarter final which they can still make it happen in this season.

Quote
I will not doubt that this match will be very interesting, the competitive atmosphere will be hot because one team is the team that has won the most titles, while the other team is the team that has the status of defending champion. If you look at the odds given by the bookie, Manchester City appears as the favorite to advance to the next round, but you also need to remember that the team they will face is a team that has a very strong mentality, and they already felt that when they had to make a comeback. by Real Madrid in the previous 2 seasons.
It will be a tough game in this quarter final but Real Madrid will not give up easily to Manchester city despite they are strong team in this UEFA champions league, but their coach has prepared them on how to play the game to ensure they lead the game till the end.

Me too. I was hoping and praying that Madrid would face City in the final, but the game started earlier. It will be heartbreaking to see one of them eliminated in this round. Manchester City hopes to win the UCL trophy again this season after doing so last season. The suqad used by city is different compared to the last season but they are still having good capability like last season's squad.
Manchester City will be able to beat Madrid. The club must have replicated Real Madrid's defeat at the hands of City, who scored five times against madrid last seasons. The same momentum will occur again soon. Kyle Walker is prepared to stop Vini from scoring in the upcoming game.
The only issue is that Vini puts in all of his effort to create the long shoot. City frequently conceded goals from him through long shots from outside the penalty box. This is the most important thing Manchester City must anticipate to ensure Vini has no space to take long shots against the city.

If it is not an exaggeration to say so, the match between Manchester City versus Real Madrid is the most difficult match to predict, many bettors will be confused about who will come out on top. Both teams are very optimistic about being able to beat each other, of course because both teams have all the attributes needed, and their mentality is also very good. The head to head record of the two teams will not have much influence on the upcoming match, which in my opinion is the completeness of the squad which is more important and more decisive.

Pep Guardiola is lucky because currently all the players in his squad are fully available without any injuries, while Ancelotti is still missing Thibaut Courtois, David Alaba and Joselu. On the other hand, Manchester City has a larger number of matches scheduled, in which they have to face Arsenal, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace first before facing Real Madrid. In this case, Real Madrid only has one match versus Atletic Bilbao, of course preparation time and fatigue will be other challenges that Pep Guardiola must face.

Just like you have rightly mentioned, it's really going to be an interesting game and it's most definitely going to have so much actions with little to almost no dull moments in the game so an anticipation of fun and so much of adrenaline rush should be expected from this game in that both teams are good and in a very good form such that we can't really tell who's gonna do better than the other.

One weakness cit do have like you mentioned is the fact that they usually want to play an all attack game and so they don't bother much about their defense because they believe they could possess the ball long enough to keep it at the post of their opponent and possibly get a goal from there and so they don't really have the defensive mindset and just like Liverpool, if Madrid will be able to play behind the defense of city, they can be sure to have a good chance especially if they are smart with brilliant moves making sure not to be at offside position.

Manchester city should understand that Madrid loves fast games and I know city too at some point also plays fast games too but then they can make sure to maintain their defense line so as not to be taken advantage of by Madrid who wouldn't let a chance slide because they know city is the defending champions and would want to take that title from them by trying and hoping they succeed which they will at any mistake .
In my opinion, if Madrid wants to excel against Manchester City, it must strengthen its defense first, build cooperation with the midfielders to minimize blunders. Because what I noticed from Manchester City, when their players are continuously pressured, their movements become chaotic and busy, like against Liverpool, it is clear that with continuous pressure, Manchester City players find it difficult to implement their strategy, De Bruyne, Foden and Bernando Silva must be closely monitored. Manchester City's movements always stop when they cannot move freely. Now Madrid's task is how this can be implemented. Ancelotti, whose playing style is colossal, is slightly less effective with Pep Guaridiola's strategy. So whoever is able to start by playing pressing will be able to take a role on the field.

Wow, I didn't even think that this match could be boring, these are attacking teams, so the match will definitely be tense. I like City's attack better, they have a lot of players who can score, Haaland, De Bruyne, and of course Foden, who has been showing very good play lately.

I understand that Real can beat any team, and City are probably one of the few that can resist them properly. Actually, this will definitely be the most interesting match of the Champions League quarterfinals, but it’s very difficult for me to determine the winner now, I need to at least see how they play the first match.

Interestingly, there are no pairs where two teams from the same country meet. Real - City is a match worthy of the final, as these are the two main favourites for the tournament. But it is not a fact that the winner of this pairing will make it to the final.

By the way, here's how the teams will play in the semi-finals:
The winner of Real Madrid vs City will play the winner of Arsenal vs Bayern and in the other semi-final, the winner of PSG vs Barcelona will play the winner of Atletico vs Borussia Dortmund.

I also really like Manchester City's style of play where whenever the front players are unable to score a goal there is always another player who can do the job. Pep Guardiola understands the playing style of his team and he is also skilled at taking advantage of the opportunities that arise in every match. This will happen again, where every season the Champions League will give rise to great competition and whoever succeeds in winning will advance to the next round.

I hope Man City does not meet Real Madri in the quarter-finals because it would not be a fun competition if one of them had to leave the competition. But everything is set and the two must meet sooner to prove each other. I prefer Real Madrid even though Manchester City was the defending champion the previous season.

Yes, I'm also not saying that their differences are much different, I'm just comparing these two clubs from a player's point of view, on the Manchester City side they have been playing as a team for a long time, while Real Madrid are mostly young players who don't have much experience. However, this is a comparison that cannot be used as a benchmark in my opinion, because now the ability of young players cannot be underestimated because in some clubs it is also young players who are the main mainstay.

Apart from all that, I hope to see something interesting in this match, no matter who wins this match, the most important thing is that both clubs can present a performance that will be very enjoyable. I want to see both of them play openly so that the match doesn't become monotonous. I also want to see Real Madrid show off their fast counter-attacks again, while I want to see Manchester City perform with Kelvin de Bruyne's pampering passing. I'm sure whoever loses in this match, if both teams can provide an entertaining game, it will prevent the fans from feeling such deep disappointment.

That's right. Many people's hopes were that the two teams should meet in the final but unfortunately these two great teams had to meet in the quarter-finals, this was like a premature UCL league final.

But I agree with you. Even though last season Real Madrid was humiliated by Man City, this is not the case because now Real Madrid is better and stronger. It is proven that currently Real Madrid is still at the top of the Laliga standings. Additionally, with the arrival of Jude and several other players, the Real Madrid squad is almost complete compared to last season. So my prediction is that Real Madrid this season will definitely be able to eliminate the defending champion (Man City) from the UCL league competition.
Yes maybe it will be an premature final, but I think the match between Manchester City and Real Madrid who meet faster in the quarter-finals than the final will also be no less exciting later, besides that I think so far the teams competing in the champions match have had balanced opponents and of course will make the match will be evenly matched later for us to watch and most likely will also give us a final that may be more interesting than Manchester City vs Madrid, so far Manchester City and Madrid have a very high rivalry in the race for the Champions League trophy and even both continue to take turns to beat each other in order to be the best in the Champions League so far.

Indeed, we have always known Madrid as the ruler of the Champions League but I think it should not be for us to underestimate Manchester City, I don't know in what way you see if Manchester City is not better than Madrid at the moment, while Manchester City so far also has a good performance in the league, even though they are currently in third place in the Premier League Standings but they are only 1 point apart and you certainly know how tight the Premier League is if Compared to La Liga, besides that when you say Madrid have Jude Bellingham in their squad, then what about Haalaand is he not a dangerous striker?

Yes, that was before, but now it is much different after Manchester City was able to rise with players who have great players and this could be a good start for Manchester City if they can continue to be consistent, they will definitely be able to get the CL trophy every season and in the last 8 rounds I I'm very sure that Manchester City will get rid of Real Madrid again on the grounds that Real Madrid doesn't have the performance it used to and that means Real Madrid will have to stop in the top 8 this time even though many people want to see these two clubs meet in the final but still This will be an interesting match to meet in the top 8 round.
I am not underestimating Real Madrid but I just see that Real Madrid this season is very difficult to score big numbers in the domestic league and in the CL.

Pep Guardiola still has confidence as long as he has de Bruyne and Haaland, there is a big chance of winning the title like last season and if Real Madrid relies on Vinicius and Bellingham, it is unlikely that they will be able to stop Pep Guardiola's mainstay players.

In my opinion Bayern is not performing averagely just that they are performing not up to their usual standard and the fact that Leverkusen is beating them to the league makes people think they are performing avaragely, although they are quite inconsistent with their performance but I doubt if they will take the inconsistency to the champions league.
Bayern Munich had some bad matches that cost them a first position loss to Leverkusen but about quality, they have good quality and if Bayern Munich meet Leverkusen directly, they can beat Leverkusen when they are ready for a direct match.

In a league competition that lasts through a long season, Bayern Munich fail to maintain their stability so that Leverkusen do it better and take the first position. In Champions League, where Bayern Munich must focus on now, they have enough power to win it. Many players in Bayern Munich already won Champions League but it's hard to believe that they no longer have motivation to fight for winning it again.

Talking about Champions League experience, I don’t think Bayern current squad have enough Champions League experienced players that will scare Arsenal, only Muller and Nuver were among the teams that were defeating Arsenal in the past, the rest of the players were all new and similar experience with Arsenal even though they have played in Champions League one or two seasons before now.
I don’t know what you are meant by Champions league experience but i just know they are far more experienced than Arsenal and that alone means alot. Having Neuer and Muller in their midst will be beneficial and that is something Arsenal will lack, having an experienced player among will help carry youngsters along.

Come to think of it, Bayern have players that have quite some experience in the champions league aside Neuer and muller, there is Kimmich, Alphonso Davies, Sane, Goretzka and Harry Kane who have had quite a good experience in the Champions League and compare to Arsenal’s squad I don’t think any of them are near in terms of experience.

Arsenal cannot be underrated because they have good players and good coach so I expect them to play well against Bayern.

Bayern in the Champions League as a rule never spared their opponents and dealt with them harshly without hesitation, but this season for Bayern is really quite average, both in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League. They look ok overall though, I don't know, it's like that tough core they've lost
In my opinion Bayern is not performing averagely just that they are performing not up to their usual standard and the fact that Leverkusen is beating them to the league makes people think they are performing avaragely, although they are quite inconsistent with their performance but I doubt if they will take the inconsistency to the champions league.

Everyone has their own views on football, I know that Madrid now is different from last season, Madrid has several talented young players, that's why Manchester City will play carefully against them, Guardiola will also think about that, of course there will be a change in tactics. or strategy in facing Madrid, if Madrid are not able to win at home in the first leg match then it will be difficult for them to win at home to Manchester City, so Ancelotti must think about that by pressing his team to play optimally in the first leg match later in April .

But if Madrid fails to beat Manchester City in the first leg, don't expect Madrid to qualify for the next round, let alone win at Manchester City's home ground. I know Madrid's strength and experience is far superior at the moment, but Manchester City as the defending champion will certainly play better than before. So far Manchester City has hardly found an opponent worthy of them after facing clubs that weren't too difficult from the start in the UCL this season so their journey has been smooth until now, so I think Madrid should be able to show their abilities in the first leg, although maybe I'm sure Manchester City will become UCL champions again this season for the second time.

Agree this annoys me a bit too. In 2022 and 2023 Real Madrid and Man City will meet in the semi-finals and yes, that is a level higher than the quarter-finals. But this season the two of them met earlier, namely a level below the semi-finals, namely the quarter-finals. But this is still quite understandable compared to 2020 when Real Madrid and Man City met in the round of 16.  Tongue

Last season Man City was able to beat Real Madrid quite easily. And maybe something similar could happen this season. But maybe Man City will have a little difficulty scoring many goals now. I think a win with a score that is not much different will happen.

One of their advantages is that they are better prepared than other clubs. Real Madrid is in a transition period now, they are rotating more and relying more on young players. Meanwhile, Manchester City, the squad they have has been formed for a long time, indeed there are some who have just joined, but overall this team has been formed for a long time, so that makes them more prepared and it is not strange that they have a more solid squad than other clubs.

However, we still can't underestimate Real Madrid, Real Madrid is the club that has the best mentality in my opinion in the Champions League, even though they have a lot of young players, but having several senior players in the team will help them a lot. in forming a stronger metallicity.

Now that they will face each other again, it is difficult to predict who will win this match. However, if you look at the opportunities given, Manchester City has a greater chance of winning. However, that is not a guarantee that they will really be able to beat Real Madrid.
In my opinion, the strengths of these two teams are not much different, they have players with almost the same quality. Apart from that, the two coaches on each team are also quite experienced figures, making this match difficult to predict.

Yes, if you look at it in detail, Manchester City is worthy of being the favorite. Guardiola has a squad that is quite capable because almost all of the current players are those who won the Champions League last season, meaning it is not too difficult for Guardiola to polish his players.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is also not worth taking lightly, Ancelotti is quite skilled at managing his young players. Bellingham's figure will be the difference, he is really very influential at the moment in the Madrid squad. Maybe he will be very ambitious to win the title with Madrid so he will be very motivated.

It's actually true that the match between arsenal vs Bayern Munich is really going to be a fascinating encounter between them, but I really don't think arsenal have what it takes to go toe too toe with this Bayern Munich side, regardless of how inconsistent Bayern have been in this season, it's actually true that arsenal have been doing well recently but this is the champions league, experience is fundamental if you must succeed, that's why arsenal struggled against fc Porto, and was unable to be at their outmost best in both legs because they lack the experience required at this particular stage of the competition, and lastly if you look at Bayern Munich of late, I think they are finding back their form at the right moment, which i think will be crucial in their quest for glory between now and the ending of the season.
Bayern Munich in champions league has been more consistent than they have been in their domestic league so it's not like their inconsistency is actually a problem to them, just maybe they are acting that way for a purpose and trying to chanel the efforts into the champions league because it's been a whole long while since the lifted the champions league so it's now like a priority for them as against their domestic league.

Arsenal on the other hand has actually been consistent with their premier league much more than they have done in the champions league, although there were times in the premier league Arsenal did suffer some form of set back but their come back so far has been the best because they have only performed much better than they have done before and now at the top of the premier league table but I'm sure they are aware it's not same with the champions league as the pressure and competition isn't like that they have got in the premier league.

Let's see what it will actually turn out to be with the German side against the English in this champions league meeting but I'm very much optimistic about the German side knowing tok well that if it were to be the firm the German side had earlier at the beginning of the season, they would have had a good level of certainty against the Gunners because the gunners wouldn't be able to match the German strength but now let's see how it goes.
