Now it's something different for these two teams. Arsenal have developed rapidly even though they have always been unseeded in the Champions League. The Gunners have now achieved an achievement in the last 15 years of never reaching the quarter-finals. So I think this season is an opportunity for Arteta to bring the London cannon to keep going.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is experiencing a different fate, this season is like a setback for them. Tuchel has been given a deadline to immediately collect his suitcase as a result of the team he is managing not developing and potentially losing the Bundesliga trophy this season.

Talking about the strongest nominations to win UCL and that's indeed those clubs are still holding the biggest chance to win the competition but im feeling doubtful to the bayern munich. It's caused by this club was performing so poorly. That being said that if i would rather than pick other candidate to win UCL this season like PSG.
The thing that surprises me how arsenal being at the second place with the smaller odds to win UCL. It means that bookies rated arsenal to be even stronger compared to the real madrid.

This bottle club feels so hard to bead its opponent (porto). It makes me feel so doubtful to think if arsenal can win UCL this season.



I'd like to call PSG is much more favored to win the compettiion with the current squad rather than arsenal which doesn't have winning mentality.

This will be a familiar opponent for Bayern Munich to face Arsenal, because the two have met 12 times in the group phase and round of 16.
And from their 12 meetings, Bayern Munich always appeared impressive, winning 7 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats against Arsenal. And in their three meetings, Bayern Munich always got a big score from Arsenal, namely 5-1 in these three meetings. And will history repeat itself and Bayern Munich will make it 5-1 over Arsenal for the fourth time.
And I hope that doesn't happen and Arsenal can prove that they have changed even though Arsenal's performance in the Champions League this season is not very impressive. However, they must be able to prove it and provide good play and resistance for Bayern Munich in the quarter-final match.

Concluding that Bayern Munich will easily win their upcoming match against Arsenal solely based on their head-to-head meeting records overlooks crucial factors. Between Real Madrid and Manchester City, Real Madrid are having a better season than Manchester City to me. Real Madrid should be the team to be afraid of. PSG against Barcelona too, Barcelona look like their campaign has ended with PSG because Mbappe looks hungry to want to help PSG will this competition for the first time, even if he will later leave after this season. Dortmund too will be sent home by Atletico Madrid, they faced a tougher opponent before getting to this stage, they will be very prepared. Barcelona also played Napoli before getting to this stage of the competition still, but Napoli are not as strong as they were last season.

Arsenal are again facing a disaster they haven't faced in a long time and maybe at the hands of Bayern Munich they will return home to England. It's unbelievable that the draw will bring these two teams together and I'm quite sad to see that Arsenal won't be able to do more against Bayern Munich. History has recorded that Bayern Munich always won their meetings and it is possible that the results will still be the same this season. Bayern Munich is lucky to only face Arsenal and I am sure they will qualify for the semifinals.

The match real madrid vs manchester is certainly worthy of being a final rather than a quarterfinal and many people have been also showing the same opinion like us since they are feeling very disappointed with the draw that makes real madrid face city earlier. It's also surprising me that the city has Real Madrid as an opponent again and these clubs were also very often in facing each other in UCL. Manchester City faced Real Madrid on consecutive times. I'm disappointed with the draw but it'salready happened.
Manchester City is a strong club, and I don't think it matters alot where City will play against Real Madrid soon. The most important thing I know is that Manchester City is slightly ahead of its competitors because the club is still performing perfectly.

City will have Haaland and De Bruyne back soon. People will be surely watching this match and that's it.

Real Madrid must be careful because the goal machine haaland can also score as many goals as possible. Real Madrid has Bellingham, while City has Haaland, these guys were the best players in their clubs.

Real Madrid will get more difficulty to win the near future. The odds are making me happy, and I am confident that Manchester City will win the first leg, despite the fact that it will be away for manchester city and im not seeing it as a serious problem for city since club can only defend it

City is just getting better after some key players came back from their injuries and it may make real madrid feel so scary with it.

I've been opportuned to watch Arsenal play against Bayern Munich in several occasions and never have I experienced an Arsenal win against the German Bundesliga club and that's why a lot of people including bookmakers are already backing Bayern Munich to easily eliminate Arsenal and progress to the quarter finals of the the UEFA Champions League competition but I don't think it'll be as easy as most of us think of the tie. During the times I watched Arsenal lose to Bayern Munich, Arsenal's form at those moments weren't as impressive as it is at the moment and Bayern Munich's inconsistency weren't as bad as it is now which is why I think Arsenal have a good chance to get a good result that'll see them progress to the next round of the competition at the expense of their opponents Bayern Munich.
Arsenal is currently leading the English Premier League table and are still very much interested in winning the league title this season even when they're in strong battle with Liverpool and Manchester City while Bayern Munich is currently trailing German Bundesliga leader Bayer Leverkusen by 10 points difference. So that goes a long way to tell that Arsenal have simply been the better team this season and might just pull a surprise and eliminate Bayern Munich

easy prediction can be seen from the last 3 meetings in the champion league. bayern munchen always wins with a very landslide score of 5-1. as well as this match which brings together bayern munchen again with arsenal in the quarter-finals. i think bayern munchen will win easily. even though the coach has a bad performance until he has ended his cooperation with bayern munchen at the end of the season.

The conditions are still the same as they were and even looking at what Arsenal did against Porto I don't think Arsenal will be favourites in the game they're about to play.
Arsenal's condition in the Champions League is difficult to predict as well as Bayern who are still experiencing problems that they cannot solve properly so by looking at this it is likely that in the match everything becomes very difficult to predict.

Another situation that is happening now is just seeing how they perform in domestic competitions in the near future even though maybe this will not have a big impact because domestic competitions cannot be compared to the Champions League but still positive results in domestic competitions can have more impact on Arsenal and Bayern in terms of their mentality.

Knowing the present performance of Arsenal, we can’t conclude that they are not going to the semi-finals, but seeing the opponents that have more experience than them, the main point here is the performance. We know Bayern Munich won’t give them that chance since they have already given up in the Bundesliga, which they will also like to move down to the semifinals, but Arsenal, on the other hand, has displayed some strong and unimaginable performances lately that will make many believe that surely they can also make it to the semifinals if care is not taken.
 
So comparing their past performance with Porto or thinking about their performance in the Premier League will somehow not be accepted because, if not for the experience that Arsenal don’t have that much, Bayern Munich will not even think of giving them a hot one, but the game is still home and away, so I think the first leg will be drawn and the away qualifier will be chosen in the second leg, but I have a slight hope in Arsenal. 

After that didn't happen last season, really, I really hope there will be a final between Man City and Real Madrid in the Champions League final this season. But, once the draw results come out, ah, it's broken, that won't happen. Well, yeah, that's right, as it previously, too early final. But what can do, that won't change. Whatever it is, one of the two clubs should be there until the final. Maybe it will be more likely to be Man City. Halland, de Bruyne and other strong Man City players are very ready for whatever happens in the UCL, and they are indeed very strong. However, nothing will guarantee 100%. This will definitely still be a very difficult fight for the championship title.

Simply, Just imagine, against Porto, Arsenal was so overwhelmed, they even had to take a penalty shootout to determine the winner. Especially with Bayern Munich, who are known to be tough, so Arsenal's chances of qualifying are not that big. Sorry to say, I don't mean to belittle them, but we look at their previous performance. Yes, although there is no guarantee that Bayern will be better and win. If Arsenal wants to do it, then Arteta must do it better, he must provide tactics that are much more effective. Because they usually only win in ball possession but are not able to attack effectively and pass deadly passes to the opponent.

Yes, this is the last season with the same format, next season will be different.
All the quarter-final matches this season are very tight where the competing teams really have the experience and desire to advance to the semi-finals. Real Madrid get the same opponents as last season, Barcelona get PSG and it will be two classic games worth looking forward to.

Arsenal tend to find it difficult to hope for a win against Bayern Muchen, but Bayern Munich's performance in the domestic league this season is not so good that it might affect their performance in the Champions League. Barcelona will likely fail and give PSG a chance to reach the semi-finals because of the depth of their squad, but Barcelona have experience even though they rely on many young players.

No doubt Bellingham will try his best to see Real Madrid make it to the semifinals, but we shouldn’t forget that Haaland and De Bruyne will hold them. I will not be surprised if I see that Real Madrid make it in the home game, but I don’t think they can win in the away game because Manchester City are not ready to take it easy on them, which directly indicates a hot game or, let's just say, a war between the two teams. 
 
Even though those teams are the best in the league, one of them most likely leaves the space for another this season to bring what is called single leadership because, no doubt, one of the teams most likely will be knocked out of the league.

I also feels the same, brother. At least, we can see Real Madrid vs Man City in the semi-final. It is too early to see Real Madrid vs Man City in the quarter-final. Man City will be always the favorite team to be in the final because they are the strongest team in the last few seasons. Meanwhile Real Madrid is the team with most title in UCL. Both teams are great, they have their own good history in UCL. If we look at the squad quality and the capability of the coaches, both of them are not so different. Which team who can be more ready to play and can play with best players, they probably will qualify for the semi-final.

I think Real Madrid must win in the Leg 1 if they want to have a good chance to qualify to semi-final. If they are defeated in Leg 1, I doubt Real Madrid will have the chance to eliminate Man City in this round.

We should better not look the way of history here because if we do, it will not be funny with Arsenal.  As far as CL is concerned,  Arsenal doesn't have any good record against Bayern Munich.  It happened to to extent that during draws, Arsenal will pray that they shouldn't meet Bayern Munich but their prayers are never answered.
However, currently I feel that Arsenal team is more formidable than Bayern Munich.

I actually do not want to remember the last meeting between Real Madrid and Manchester City,  it is scary on the side of Real Madrid.

When a club is overhauling its squad, it is difficult to measure its true strength. It was coming with an unfamiliar face that had not yet faced Bayern, and how can we judge whether Arsenal won or lost against Bayern? I believe that if the reason is clear, Arsenal may be on par with Bayern Munich right now but anything can happen even arsenal can also own bayern too.
There have been no significant improvements to the bayern. I believe that the previous-used historical data is no longer reliable because both clubs will be performing with different squads. Arsenal has been rebuilding its squad, and that is it. Even if Barcelona faced City with a different squad, historical data would not be reliable to use there. You do have different composition and you will have also different gameplay. that's it

Arsenal is the favorite to win the game, given that the first game will be away. This also forces Bayern Munich to work even harder to prevent Arsenal from winning the game soon. The outcome of these matches is also difficult to predict.
Just because Arsenal is playing Bayern Munich, we can use historical head-to-head data to predict which team will win the game. Same data, same call.
I can't really judge whether bayern will dominate arsenal like the previous matches since all of things have changed on arsenal after it has a coach that can be even more structured than before which was pep,

This is the good and the bad side of the Champions League.
We have 4 teams that could easily be the finalists eliminating each other (PSG-CITY-REAL-BARCA), especially between Manchester City and Real Madrid we will see the defeat of a probable finalist.

This is also the last Champions League that takes place with a round phase, from next year we will have a different Champions League in which there will be mega rounds, there will be no relegations to EUROPA LEAGUE and we will have 2 more matches.

Prepare yourslef there it will be a big complain about it since they games will be played randomly.

I agree with you, kawetsriyanto. Arsenal are not favorites to progress to the semi-finals against Bayern Munich even though their performances in their respective domestic leagues are very different. The thing that might differentiate between the two in the Champions League is experience, Arsenal is not a team with much experience in the Champions League compared to Bayern Munich.

I basically don't expect Arsenal to qualify for the semi-finals this season by beating Bayern Munich, but this could happen if Arteta can maximize the potential of his team. The match will be very close and definitely worth looking forward to, but I would probably think that both have a 50:50 chance of making the semifinals.

I quite understand your point now because in those years it looked as if Arsenal was Ghosted due to their poor performance in the Champions league as at then and Liverpool and Chelsea were very active and relevant when Arsenal went into exile and doesn't go far in the Champions league whenever they qualify and moreover, it's almost 14 years since Arsenal last got to this quarter finals stage in the Champions league but all the same, regardless of the fact that Arsenal haven't been so relevant in the champions league and not having a Champions league trophy to their name doesn't mean that they ain't a big team anymore.
