Yes, Manchester City and Liverpool qualified for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League as we expected, and there was no upset. In the second set of the UEFA Champions League's last 16 matches, there can be an upset because some clubs almost have the same strength in this second set.
Liverpool is not playing in the Champions League this season, they will have to play against Spartov in the Europa League today, for them it will most likely be a passing opponent, but this is a completely different tournament.

And City, quite expectedly, were able to passed Copenhagen, confidently beating them in both matches. Now they have to wait until the rest of the round of 16 matches are completed to find out their next opponent. So far, of all the teams, I like the way City play the most, perhaps for me they are the favorites now. Before yesterday's match, I also really liked Real Madrid, but yesterday I saw how difficult it was for them against Leipzig.

It is true that both of them qualified for the round of 16 and in their respective leagues, but there is an interesting thing about the Champions League and Europa League that the two of them will meet this week. Man City and Liverpool will both determine who will be at the top of the Premier League this season, discussing Real Madrid and Man City both seem to have their own strengths but Real Madrid still has that opportunity compared to Man City because Real Madrid is still dominant even though they still save their energy in several matches which they think are still easy to beat, it might sound like an understatement but the reality is like that's if you look at it in detail...

I have to admit that Real Madrid played very badly last night and often their defense was easily penetrated by the Leipzig players, but luckily Andrey Lunin was alert in blocking the ball so it didn't go into the net. Even though in the end Real Madrid conceded one goal, that result was not enough for Leipzig to win on aggregate over Real Madrid. If Vinicius didn't score in this match, it's possible the result would be a draw so it would go to extra time and I watched the process of this goal from a quick counter-attack led by Kross then Bellingham provided an assist for Vinicius to score.

It's very strange to see Ancelotti's formation in a decisive match like this and seeing Bellingham acting as a false 9 is quite risky. The reason is that Bellingham is used to being a box to box midfielder and this time he stepped out of his role according to Ancelotti's new tactics. Valverde also seems to be a winger and LMF to support attacks and this strategy is not suitable and quite different from what happened last season when Valverde was often placed in this position by Ancelotti. Ancelotti should have used his usual strategy by pairing Vinicius and Rodrygo in the attack line and Bellingham as an attacking midfielder, I think that is much more effective in attracting opposing defenders.

Despite all that, Real Madrid deserved to qualify for the quarterfinals even though it was quite difficult playing at home and for Leipzig they have to try to return to the champions league next season.
We have two favorites for the UCL this season and that’s City and Madrid. If we should use the performance of both teams yesterday to get the winner of the UCL then I feel City will be winning this trophy again. Real Madrid were shitty yesterday and I sincerely don’t know who to blame, but I pass much of the blame on Ancelotti because of his tactics. Though to an extent the tactics proved to get the equalizer goal though.

But I think the team would have done better with it’s usual tactics rather than coming to try out what could have caused them Quater Final spot. Liepzig were very good in their press and controlled the game well and looked very serious. I think Ancelotti was just trying out something as I feel I should make this excuse for him and he shouldn’t be dumb to try out same formation in the Quater Final stage as in this stage, there are more serious teams who are determined and mean big time business. Jude is very good in the midfield and should be allowed to enjoy his football there rather than using him as a false 9.

Real Madrid were known to qualify despite their poor performance as many including me still see them winning the UCL this season as they’ve got a good and young squad with very well and highly determined players. Ancelotti needs to go back to his usual formation as that would help him take on teams easily rather than trying out errors that could cause the team in the long run.
No one should think that Manchester city played a small or weaker team in there QF yesternite. It was a deserved win for them I must say and no other prediction would make sense without considering this English side for a final with a worthy side.  They may just be champions again because they already perform that way in all their remaining matches across all leagues.

Real Madrid sure did well to help counter my betting predictions for yesterday's game and am not happy even though they made it out on aggregate scores. I doubt such team would give Manchester city much headache if they get to meet for a face off in the UCL finals.

Okay that's your favorite but it seems you forget that Arsenal is still in the UCL competition, and they are one of the team who may likely win the competition with their performance. And your right about the fact that Real Madrid are not consistent in their performance. Yesterday we said how Manchester City were busy shooting inside the goal net. Just in 10 minutes they scored two beautiful goals. This shows that they are ready and if a slight chance is giving to them, they will win the UCL again.

However, i would rather bet for Arsenal to win the UCL. I know for a long time now they haven't been in the UCL competition. That is why they are very serious and in the EPL they are a strong title contender so that is why i believe they would do same in the UCL. We saw how they won Manchester City in the Premier League first leg same thing might happen if they play against Manchester City in the UCL. Currently they are a strong match for Manchester City but i don't know about Real Madrid if they can be able to stand them. Judging from recent performance i have the conviction that Arsenal will win Real Madrid if they get to face each other.

Even though Real Madrid qualified for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League, the Real Madrid vs Leipzig match shouldn't have ended in a draw since Real Madrid players know that if Leipzig won by a goal difference, they would end in a penalty shootout, and Real Madrid fans would be praying for Leipzig not to score first against Real Madrid.
Yes, of course Real Madrid doesn't expect that and it's impossible for them to give Leipzig the freedom to develop their game. Leipzig, who still had hope, was also able to play an open game to catch up on the deficit, but Los Blancos were really able to maintain their defensive line well to avoid conceding. For me, Real Madrid is still the top team in this tournament and now they have qualified for the quarter-finals. Madrid is one of the strong candidate teams to win this season.

Many people disappointed with the result Madrid vs Leizpig, and I guess it happens because most of them bet on Madrid.
A draw doesnt mean Madrid in crisis or under performance and the most importantly it doesnt mean they are not able to win the Champions League.
Leizpig must win with 2 goal difference at Madrid home to qualify, that is why they have launched a ferocious attack since the beginning.
This result ruined many people's bets, so it's understandable that they're disappointed. Madrid's winning streak has ended, but it doesn't mean their chances are gone. However, Real Madrid's disappointing performance makes me think that if Leipzig had a decent striker, they could have won both legs. Leipzig played well across both legs but were wasteful in front of goal. They only have themselves to blame.

Bayern Munich showed that they have big potential against Lazio and that something is stopping them to show their best performance(I don't if it's Tuchel or something else).

Well, I actually expected this one, the second leg to be close. But it was not the case. Bayern Munich was able to perform really well and really did not face any big problems in this one. I actually thought Lazio would be able to give a lot of problems to Bayern Munich because you know they had an advantage going into the second leg. But Bayern was ready for that. They have absolutely dominated the match and did not give Lazio any chance.

Actually, Harry Kane must have to perform well if Bayern Munich wants to win any match. And that's what happened. Harry Kane was able to score a brace for himself. Muller scored the other one. So Kane has to be fit to keep their consistency.

Manchester City did not even use their main lineup to play Copenhagen. This allows the club to beat it with high scores as well. The quality of the squad informed us of the distinctions between City and Copenhagen. Copenhagen's primary squad was no match for Manchester City's secondary squad.
City usually gave really strong results for bettors, which is why I chose to pick City in UCL. It was constantly winning with high scores, and the club's constancy made winning money on our bet easier.

~snip~
Manchester City certainly knows that it doesn't need to use its main squad in this match and is more concerned with the fierce competition in the domestic league. Pep Guardiola is also very confident that with their previous aggregate superiority they will not need to bother to secure a home win. With a 6-2 aggregate win that was too far away, it was enough for Manchester City to secure a place in the quarterfinals and they just had to wait to see who the opponent would face them later.

I also got a betting profit from this match and I was brave enough to place the BTTS result (Yes) and Copenhagen fulfilled my expectations by scoring one goal against Manchester City. Sometimes we can't bet 1x2 for Manchester City to win because we will only get relatively small odds, so there is always a way to increase the bet even though there is a small risk that we have to overcome.

It seems that no team in Europe is able to compete against the big and rich teams like Manchester City, PSG, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
PSG is still pretty dependent on the goals score by Mbappe. Real Madrid didn't impress me, but they are probably saving their best performances for the next stages of thee elimination phase. Bayern Munich showed that they have big potential against Lazio and that something is stopping them to show their best performance(I don't if it's Tuchel or something else). Man City could easily beat a strong team like Copenhagen with a bunch of their substitute players. The inequality between the super rich clubs and the other clubs is just too big. Maybe the idea of a Super League isn't that bad after all.

Madrid is one of the strong candidate teams to win this season.

It would be a very Madrid thing to do. Wink

Although the reason why they was bad at defending in the first place was because most of their defenders are out injured. Their #1 goalkeeper is also injured. Although it would be peak Madrid if they outscored everyone else in the next few rounds with the squad they currently have and clinch the trophy again.

Have four matches in next middle week from Barcelona vs Napoli, Atletico Madrid vs Inter Milan, Arsenal vs Porto and Dortmund vs PSV.

My predictions are:

Napoli
Inter
Arsenal
Dortmund

Barca have lost their midfield pair to injury, Arsenal and Inter are machines right now, but the last one is a pretty close call.

Real Madrid were really in trouble yesterday.  Sad  Because their way of play was really problematic. They were quite weak at defending against Leipzig in the first place. They were just lucky that Leipzig wasted many of them so generously. I can't even imagine the potential result if they faced a much more capable opponent.  Shocked

The interesting part is Real Madrid played worse than the time they didn't have Bellingham. You know that he was injured in the time of the first leg but they still won that match. I can't say their game was impressive there either though.  Tongue  If they continue to play the same I won't be very positive about their title chance.
Yes, they were lucky because Leipzig could not take advantage of the opportunities they had so they could only draw and that was not enough to make Leipzig eliminate Real Madrid because they lost the previous match. I'm actually not surprised when Real Madrid play mediocre like this, I wouldn't say they play badly just that they can't play very well like they showed before. Apart from that, Leipzig are also in a state of full motivation to be able to beat Real Madrid, that's what makes them play better than Real Madrid.
I see Leipzig not thinking about anything in this match, all they think about is playing loose and hoping they can turn things around. But they are not that strong to be able to turn things around. The draw is enough to put Real Madrid in the quarterfinals.
After completing this round of 16, we will be taken to a more thrilling round, where the quarter-finals are filled with the 8 best teams in the Champions League this season. The task for each team will be even harder because the level of opponents they face is also getting stronger.

Its not matter how bad performed with Real Madrid last night faced RB Leipzig because success qualifying to quarter final round and waiting the opponent teams face on drawing schedule. Too risk with Real Madrid performance won over one goals and the match have been draw after RB Leipzig scoring the goals with several minutes left, despite who will be opponent team on quarter final, Madrid need to secure first leg match by winning above two or three goals and make easily for second leg match although the match have be draw.

Have four teams success qualify to quarter final round so far Bayern Munich, PSG, Real Madrid and Manchester City, waiting upcoming middle week with four teams left will make completed eight teams qualifying to quarter final. It was a disappointing result for Real Madrid because they couldn't beat Leipzig at Santiago Bernabeu. If it were the UEFA Champions League finals, this is how Real Madrid could have played with Leipzig. Real Madrid is just lucky to qualify for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal after their match with Leipzig ended in a draw.
This match did look a little disappointing for Real Madrid fans, because they were playing at home and they should have won this match with a good result, but they only played a draw. However, in my opinion, this draw is not a big problem for Real Madrid, because Real Madrid won 2-1 on aggregate from Leipzig and Real Madri still remains in first place in Group C.

For me there is nothing disappointing at all, because I also previously posted and predicted that a draw could still happen and or only a narrow victory that Real Madrid could do. Because after all, for all the matches that occurred in the group phase also the fact that Real Madrid only won with a thin score even though the opponent it faced was not too difficult. So, with such considerations, I personally believe that Real Madrid will only take advantage of the aggregate victory it already has so ya, at least that a draw can still happen, and it did. Also, I even bet on Copenhagen and Leipzig in this match even with the asian handicap option, but at least I got my bet.

Very disappointed with the result.

Manchester city vs copenhagen

Yeah city win again and it's all predicted.

Well, I do not think it’s so disappointing for Real Madrid, considering the fact that they won the tie on aggregate and are onto the next round alongside English side Manchester city. With several core injuries, Ancelotti is leading the Madrid team well

I believe Real Madrid has more ability but in this match they didn't activate it maybe they have the reason
As usual the favorite teams have taken part in the next round and there are no surprises.

Well the match was very tough for real madrid last night, if not for the sake that real madrid hosted leipzig I think the match would have end up in a very shocking way.but instead they ended in a drew, I think is not a bad result for real madrid because they qualified to the next stage in the UEFA champion league.
