It has been so in the Last 3 or 4 years, and they managed to lift it only once. I personally think Manchester City are not going top win it back to back.

But that's how they play most of their games. It's like you have not watched them play in the seasons where they won the Champions leagues. They don't need beautiful football or possession to go into the next round. They just know how to win when it matters most. I would write off Real Madrid just like that.

Very disappointed with the result. Madrid played so poorly in this game even though it was getting draw against leipzig but i must say if madrid was really underperform. How can it face other big club in the quarter final if madrid played like this? Draw is a very embarassing result to play at home even though real madrid was winning the game caused by it has greater aggregate compared to the leipzig. It's really awful to see madrid hardly scoring in this game. Madrid played with its best squad and it can be humiliated by other club in the upcoming game if madrid can keep performing so badly like that. It's very different with the performance of madrid at the early season.

Manchester city vs copenhagen

Yeah city win again and it's all predicted. Congratulation for any bettors who were winning their game. Manchester city was fully dominating the game even though it was conceded a goal but i think that this is not something that needs to be discussed even further.
City win with three goals and that's enough to say manchester city is performing quite well at this moment. City gets perfect result as haaland is scoring in this game.

Leipzig and coopenhagen officially out from the competitions caused by they were losing against city and madrid.

I predicted an easy win for Real Madrid against the Red Bull team in the 2nd leg in Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid are the top team in La Liga while Leipzig is struggling in Bundesliga but the game between them were completely different from what I expected. It's not a 1-1 draw because of a lucky or counter offensive goal, Leipzig was playing better than Real Madrid in most of it. Real Madrid did win the knockout due to lead in Red Bull Arena. They were thought to favourite team for the Champions league title but now they seem to be defeatable.
On another knockout Manchester City defeated the Copenhagen as expected.

Smooth sailing for Man City. Copenhagen just wasn't a match for them, the Danish team is not in its peak form, even in their league they lost 3 out of the last 5 games.

City is a massive favourite to win the Champions League. Odds are as follows:



Of course this will change after next week's 2nd leg games are completed. I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal moved to the top spot. They are having an absolutely great time in the Premier League, scoring an average of 4.8 goals per game in their last 5 league games. And that's including defeating Liverpool 3-1.

We also have to see how other players contribute throughout the team. With this number of goals alone, it is almost a record, not only, but indeed the achievement has been recognized as quite good for Bayern Munich, especially in the UCL. And this is not easy to do, compared to other players so far.

Bayern Munich qualified for the next round after winning the second leg yesterday. However, to become the title holder or enter the UCL final this season, this is quite speculative. It is indeed going to be a very tough matches as all teams will be in their best form and are all willing to make it to the next round of the competition without any doubt. Let’s wait to see the teams that will join them in the next round before we can start the speculative view on the team we expect to qualify after this round again which is the semifinals.

I don't think  only the forwards were bad but Leipzig on the other hands got a strong defense that was able to defend the game with much confidence and consistency than I was expecting. Although for those that knows, Leipzig has been a strong team at the Bundesliga league with a 52 percent winning of matches and 5th on the table out of the 18 teams. So one could understand from the level they are coming and we should not also forget that they had come all the way to also win the Champions league cup..


Unfortunately as much as Leipzig wanted to win this match with all passion and energy, it didn't happen because they were meant to face Real Madrid who could have probably be their worst nightmare. Leipzig is a wonderful team in the Bundesliga yet they haven't performed as much as Girona did in the LaLiga but Girona can't still beat Madrid as they can to Barcelona. With the Way Leipzig played and stressed the Real Madrid with difficulties in goals, I will say kudos to the team big time.

the quarter-finals will be drawn again. but if manchester city meets real madarid in the quarter-finals I think it's the next final. because manchester city real madrid and bayern munchen are the strongest candidates to win the champion league this season. if the 3 teams have to meet in the quarter-finals it's too early to meet.

I think Copenhagen was performing well although they know beating Manchester City is impossible for them but they still attempts to playing attacking and besides 1 goal which they made Copenhagen also can be threaten Manchester City defensive lines several times but indeed with their quality Copenhagen try to be realistic and not lost with big scores and for Manchester City just like i predicted they didn't considers this match is too important because Manchester City playing without some of their key players and on that match some of players just like Bernardo Silva and De Bruyne only watching this match from the bench because Guardiola didn't playing them

But it doesn't matter for Manchester City because although they were playing with some of reserved players but Manchester City can able to beat Copenhagen without any problem and other match also looks interesting because Real Madrid also can able to advances to the quarterfinal after eliminate Leipzig with final aggregate 2-1 and it has been determined now that 4 teams have already to advances to the next round just like Real Madrid, Manchester City, PSG, and Bayern Munich and quarterfinal looks very interesting because these teams potentially will met each other so my predictions is for quarterfinal we will see big matches for example just like Manchester City vs Real Madrid or PSG vs Bayern Munich

Already the match was expected to end this way because Copenhagen was never a good opponent against Manchester City, although they had a great performance during the qualifier but it was obvious they will no last longer because there matches will be very difficult for them considering the clubs that qualifies, so with the pressure Manchester City use on them on this match they will realize that Manchester City is not a club to be look down on, however I love the performance of Haaland on that match he still remains one of the best signing for Manchester City because he always no what to do on every matches.

 To be frank there wasn't much real Madrid played in terms of good football, for me it seemed as if they were more focused on defending their lines more than they were seeking for the goals. imagine playing a whole 60mins of football and no shot on target was recorded. Leipzig had many opportunities to even win the game but Lois Openda just had to be wasteful. Assuming Real Madrid played a club like Man City or Inter Milan, you'd have seen a lot of goals as they would have taken advantage of Real Madrid's porous defense like Leipzig did but the sad part is that they had their dreams of going further in the tournament cut short.
 Real Madrid played good football but i wasn't impressed by their performance. they were able to move on to quarter finals but what if Leipzig had capitalized on their chances and scored like three goals? Another thing that seems to be a challenge to them is the absence of a striker cause it weighed a lot on Vinicius and if not for the fact that he is an experienced player, they would not have been able to score that goal they did.

from the comments above the match between rea,l madrid vs Leipzig has been completed and ended in a 1-1 draw. with a very tight and hard-fought match madrid was finally able to hold a draw and qualify for the quarter finals.

I think I have seen one of the worst Real Madrid team ever.A team playing without motivation,without passion and a big lack of ideas in front of the goal.They narrowly passed but I think they needed to be killed by destiny tonight if that post of Leipzig in the 90 minute would have gone in,that would have been great to watch and follow.I am sure that they won't go far with this type of super boring game play that they showed tonight at home against Leipzig,again I have never seen such a weak Real Madrid and beside Bellingham they have absolutely nowhere to rely on for creating attacks,Modric is old,Kroos is getting there,so I see a big need for renovation for this Real Madrid team.

Well, Hopy's highlight was Real Madrid vs Leipzig, I think that what they did today was something very great, Leipzig stood out very much, and because Madrid was actually very lucky, I like that Madrid won, but I must To say that Leipzig has a high level, they put Madrid in danger on many occasions, there was a period of time where nothing worked for Madrid and Leipzig almost scored the goals, especially the captain, until the last moment they did everything, I didn't like Ancelotti's changes, he brought in Bellingham, they brought in Joselu, I did like that he brought in Roderygo and Modric, but I want to highlight that Leipzig has a very great physical condition, the truth is that the last 15 minutes were only for Leipzig, they have A way of playing that reminded me of Leverkusen and Dormung, they are explosive teams and yes, I saw Madrid suffering, however the goal that Madrid scored in the First Leg saved them a lot, Madrid really needs to make many adjustments, because they have He has suffered a lot and that is something that can be seen in leagues.

It was a great game, I Really liked that goal, but I think that for the final the team has to be much more effective in what they are looking for,  they can't afford to make the same Mistakes again , not Anymore, For the next one, the remaining teams will be very tough, there is no Room for more mistakes, I see City as very strong, very focused , I don't know how Pep does to focus his players well, but he is a great player, I admire his way to lead the team.


Even despite everything, my favorite will continue to be Real Madrid.

I don't know what Everyone thinks , but I see City as a Machine, and I hope that you don't feel like facing CITY against Madrid, because it would be painful, very exciting but smelly because it could be a great final, plus I would like it to be a Match between Bayern and City , I want to see how they measure their strength and eliminate Each other, but this time the best Passes , last time it was City, this Time they can make the Difference.

City and Real Madrid are through to the QF, it was pretty routine for Pep's men, but it was far from comfortable for Real Madrid and they just narrowly progressed to the next round, i reckon that they would improve, and they have to because the games are going to get tougher from now on. The four teams that have progressed thus far would wish to avoid each other in the next round, because they are the biggest teams left in the competition and a tie between any of them would be a cracker with no clear favorites.

Champions League matches from the round of 16 onwards are very tough games, both teams want to win and go as far as possible. Leipzig is a very organised team and in recent years they have performed well in the Champions League, Real Madrid on the other hand, in my opinion, have lowered their concentration thinking they were facing an easy opponent to beat.

Real Madrid didn't find it easy with Leipzig to qualify. I already knew Real Madrid will qualify but I didn't know it will take them this hard to get it. It was just like an easy fixture as I said. I already knew that Manchester city and Real Madrid will qualify and it has happened so. We are hopefully looking up to the next round where things will eventually get more interesting. Maybe we could get a meeting between Real Madrid and Manchester City and it will be fantastic.

The game just ended. To be honest, I expected more from Real. Leipzig had a real chance of making it to the quarterfinals. Real's luck was that Leipzig didn't take advantage of their great chances. Real also had not convinced me in the first leg and only narrowly won with luck. With a performance like that it will be difficult to advance in the quarter-finals. Maybe Real were also unsettled by the news that their coach might soon have to go to prison.

Real Madrid were terrible today.   They couldn't even keep their opponent away from scoring a goal after getting ahead. In only 3 minutes there was the answer by Leipzig...

Maybe Real Madrid advanced to the quarter finals but they definitely need to improve this performance next time. Because if they had a more capable opponent tonight they could have really found themselves out of the Champions League.    The thing I don't understand about them the most is how they managed to play poorer and get a worse result despite having Bellingham on the pitch this time.

Yeah it's not that impressive but Real Madrid is still safe in the next round  because the aggregate of 2 goals, in other matches Manchester City won easily yeah that's normal because Copenhagen is not a strong opponent and Manchester City are ahead by an aggregate of 6 goals. We already have 4 teams in the next stage Bayern Munich, PSG, Real Madrid and Manchester City we are still waiting for 4 more teams to play next week. will there be a surprise like Barcelona being kicked out?

Competition in the Champions League is getting tighter and we will enter the top 8 and so far we have seen which teams have shown impressive performances, I personally think that the teams from the Premier League can dominate all the way to the final.
