If given a prediction of which four teams will play in the Champions League semi-finals, I think most people would have the same prediction. Manchester City and Real Madrid will surely have a place in everyone's predictions. Along with Real Madrid and Manchester City, Bayern Munich will be among the favorites in the Champions League this season.  We can definitely consider these three teams as favorites for the Champions League this season. I think one or two of these three teams will qualify for the finals. I would confirm Real Madrid if they had a quality finisher in their squad but they don't have a quality finisher in their squad at the moment so they may lose their consistent performance in the big games. All things considered, Manchester City can be placed at the top of the list of favourites.
On papers all looking very easy and settled but ground realities are always different with having nothing to do with these predictions which are coming on papers who are going to be in last four nothing is clear as we all know on ground on match day any team can perform extraordinary, and we can have upset which is part of the game and these top teams can face others in quarterfinal as well which is also part of the game so predicting about who is going to be in last four is not easy with all teams which are currently having spots into round of 16 are eligible for the qualification into last four.

Current performance and consistency is surely giving advantage to few teams, but this is not guaranteed about them to be had spot into last four Real Madrid and Manchester City are surely impressive but on match day performance is much important then predicting about this all as we are still having 3 weeks into these matches.

4) Inter Milan
5) Arsenal
6) Barcelona

I do think that Porto would be tough on Arsenal but they'll qualify ahead of them to the next round. I remember the last club that knocked them out of the Europa League Competition last season was Sporting Lisbon. As for Barcelona, they're one team with lot of inconsistency. Could they defeat Napoli? They could finally do that but they will not escape if they fail to sign up a good defensive midfielder. According to Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester City are his number 1 option to win the Champions League Competition.
Actually seems possibilities with yours list teams potential become the Champion League winner for this season but I doubt when top teams from first until fourth number have to face early. Such as last season Champion League match drawing, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester City have to face early and left Inter Milan with easy drawing match until success lead to final. However most dreaming Champion League final waiting for between Manchester City vs Real Madrid but both team have to face in semifinal match.
If drawing match scenario between Manchester City and Real Madrid have to face early I think both team get potential lead to final and my first number list favorite winner is Real Madrid.

Yes, I think most of the people are going to agree with the prediction that you had. And most of the people are also going to have a somewhat similar prediction as well. And if someone asks me which team is actually going to take the crown, I will actually say that it will be either Real Madrid or Manchester City.

Inter might also be in the debate. But right now for me, it is hard to say that Bayern Munich is going to win the Champions League trophy. They will be in the semi-finals at least in my opinion. They might even be in the finals. But I do not see the meaning of the Champions League trophy.

Good Luck

I have no doubts that the Paris Saint-Germain squad can beat Real Sociedad in the first leg, especially since the first leg will be played at PSG's home ground, of course this is a strength in itself playing in front of its supporters.
It is always the advantage to play at home, the players can have an extra motivation and get bigger supports. But sometimes it can the pressure because they are demanded to win at home. PSG surely has the chance to win at home, but it can happen if PSG players can play solidly. They also must play with no pressure.

But Real Sociedad is also very strong at home, so I think Paris Saint-Germain and Sociedad will perform well in both legs. Even though Real Sociedad is one of the clubs that looks like a weak team, Paris Saint-Germain should not underestimate Real Sociedad.
Real Sociedad played strong both in away and home matches. Please chance again the stats during the matches in group stage!
Real Sociedad is unbeaten during the matches in the group stage. You are wrong if you think they are weak team. They even becomes one of the strongest team in group stage.

First leg: Paris Saint-Germain won 3-0 Second leg: Real Sociedad won 1-0.
Your prediction looks interesting. You seem a bit underestimate the power of Real Sociedad attackers.  Undecided

A team that I consider a favourite today may perform poorly after a while or my favourite player may change. Also, since I have personal freedom, I can keep any club I want on my favourite list. If a team is good I will definitely support it. I'm also not in favour of supporting a team emotionally while people enjoy the game and are there for entertainment. I think my own preferences may change over time. No team should be emotionally supported for entertainment or betting purposes.
This is also what I do, I analyze and determine who will win because I will also include it in my betting list. If later it causes me to lose, that is the risk of a bet that must be prepared to lose. IN the Champions League I am always neutral and judge based on their overall performance, apart from that I will look at the mentality of a club. Because I see in the Champions League the mentality of being one who takes part in the results that the club will get in the future. Because usually a club with a high mentality will be more comfortable in playing, and in a game comfort is something that can bring victory.
Manchester City, Real Madrid are the 2 favorites, Inter Milan is also in my category, apart from that a club like Bayern Munich is also actually one of them, but I personally put a smaller chance.

Although you have the freedom to choose but still, the reality is that you will only choose the seeded teams or the existing elite teams like Real Madrid and Manchester City and a few other elite teams. Because after all, even though you have the freedom to choose your favorite team but yes, the reality is that you will not choose Copenhagen and Lazio in your choice, I am sure about that. Because yes, basically we will be influenced by the big names. For example, if you don't know anything about soccer but at the same time you have to make a choice and hear and see that there is Real Madrid there, then I'm sure you will make your choice on such a famous team because their big name is not in doubt.

For 1, 2 and 3 I agree with you but I will put Barcelona in 4th position and Arsenal 5th position while Inter Milan is in 6th position, Barcelona performance is not very impressive this season but they can be relied on in important tournaments like this or even Barcelona can reach the semifinals while the final will most likely be between Real Madrid vs Manchester City. By the way, where do you place PSG? they managed to get through a difficult group even though the results are not perfect, PSG still needs to be watched out for, because usually PSG often reaches the semifinals moreover, Mbappe is still there.

I'd agree to most of the ranking but I'd put PSG at least ahead of Barcelona if not Arsenal. Barcelona is quite a disaster this season.
More than the position, the group of 16 is where we heading which would be a two legged knockout. Here 8 of those 16 teams would be eliminated while rest 8 would reach the quaterfinals. Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayren Munich, Arsenal, Barcelona, PSG, Dortmund and Inter might have better chances to qualify for the next round while the clashes between Inter and Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Napoli, Arsenal and Porto and PSV and Dortmund could be a competitive one.

That's the correct list, but for me more precisely, Barcelona is in 5th position and 6th position is filled by PSG.
The reason I say that Barcelona is more worthy of being under Inter is because I judge it not from experience, even though it is very influential, but I judge more from the performance of the current players. better quality and this is a fact.
Next, why do I want to replace Arsenal with PSG because in terms of consistency, for me, PSG is more consistent and stronger, while Arsenal has inconsistent performances, even being in the Premier League, Arsenal having a bad time.
All this is just speculation that I have, maybe we have different opinions but Manchester City will still be the CL title holders this season unless they experience injury problems to the players which will cause big problems.

Copenhagen in the group stage of this season's UEFA Champions League competition was very impressive and the fact that they progressed in a group were big teams like Galatasaray and Manchester United failed to make it out of the group, tells how good of a side they are and can be. Against Manchester City in the round of 16 of the competition, I expect Copenhagen to play in their full strength without fearing the world, European and English Premier League champions.

However, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City is one team that doesn't only play top football performance when one or two player of the team is around. During the start of the season, Kelvin De Bruyne was injured and was sidelined for over four months and that didn't stop Manchester City from winning games as they won all the six games they played in the group stage without De Bruyne. Copenhagen might prove to be a strong team to play against but against Manchester City in the round of 16, I expect Pep Guardiola's men to sweep them aside and progress to the next round of the competition even without the help of Kelvin De Bruyne.
Yes, I was also very impressed to see FC Copenhagen in the preliminary round until they were able to qualify for the knockout phase. Even though previously the Danish representatives did not get a good assessment at all to be able to qualify and it turns out they were able to prove that.

FC Copenhagen will certainly bring the same enthusiasm when they meet Manchester City. I think Copenhagen will carry out the same maneuver again during the group stage and they will not be burdened at all. Due to what has been done, Manchester City must be aware of this threat, because even though City is very favored, Copenhagen cannot be taken lightly as an opponent.

Barcelona doesn't deserve to be the 4th favorite for the title this season, even if you think Barcelona deserves to be in 4th place. I think Barcelona and its squad are not mentally ready to win the Champions League title at the moment, but in the next few seasons it could be possible.

The strength of Barcelona's squad is not comparable to Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid, so I would not place them as the 4th favorite team to win the title. I agree that Barcelona will probably advance to the quarter-finals, but Napoli will not be an easy opponent.

According to Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester City are his number 1 option to win the Champions League Competition.
This is a surprise, I hope I didn't hear it wrong. Has C. Ronaldo been a Manchester City fan so far?
He talked about Manchester City and its game, Ronaldo even praised Pep Guardiola some time ago. But that's up to him, of course.  Cheesy

Like you, I think Manchester City beat Copenhagen, especially with Kevin De Bruyne back. His skills improve greatly. I'm planning for the quarterfinals and beyond. City is strong but not invincible. They'll likely beat Copenhagen, but Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will be tougher. Those games will show if City can win it all. Football is unpredictable. It's not enough to have top players like De Bruyne; it's how they play together under pressure. That will decide if they can win Champions League again
Even without Kevin De Bruyne, the match against Copenhagen should still be an easy match for Manchester City because there is a difference in the quality of the two teams, although surprises may still occur when the favorite team performs badly because they slightly underestimate their opponent but on paper Manchester City's winning percentage is very big in the first match of this knockout round so that the quarter-finals will be theirs and City having Kevin De Bryune is a big advantage, that's why it is reported that the club has proposed a new contract for the player because there are reports that there are Arab clubs who are interested in him.
When Manchester City qualify for the quarter-finals, the match will be even more difficult because the team that advances to the quarter-finals will of course be a team that is more evenly strong and that will be enough to determine City's next steps whether they can qualify for the semifinals and final or will stop.

Beating Copenhagen is not a difficult task for Manchester City, especially if Guardiola can field his best squad, including De Bruyne in the starting XI he has compiled. Being of a higher class than Copenhagen gives Manchester City more freedom to dominate the match, the quality of Manchester City's attacks has increased since De Bruyne's presence, they will not be burdened even though the first leg is played at Copenhagen headquarters.

After entering the quarter-finals, the match will get tougher because the remaining clubs have almost the same strength, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid will continue to provide competition to reach the final round. Real Madrid is still able to appear consistently with its best performance. They are better prepared to face Manchester City, who eliminated them last season. The condition of the players really determines the success of the team, the coach must be more careful in arranging the line up in leagues which are not considered too important in order to maintain the fitness of the players in the UCL so that the team does not play under pressure.

Manchester city was not comparable to the copenhagen. Even the secondar squad of city can beat it easily but pep shall not need to underestimate its opponent. The club needs to perform even better than before. Manchester city needs always to use its full power to beat any club in the UCL. This has become the main problem for city. City is now getting easiest route to go to the final of UCL. City can make it to win UCL two times in a row which will able to compete with real madrid for this.
De bruyne will increase the self confidence owned by manchester city and ti seems like that city is ready to get another UCL trophy again. Other club needs to worry with the comeback of some key players of manchester city.
It's caused by these players will become the main threats for any clubs in UCL. I think the club that will not get city as the next opponent will be lucky enough. City will be trying so hard to perform better.
The competition is still continue and it seems like that city will try to hard to strengthen the club. Im sure pep had been preparing a lot of plans for city.

just imagine what if you had 2 teams that you really like? would you like both of them to become UCL title holders? Huh
but I'm sure you will prefer Man City to be the UCL title holders this season.  Tongue
IMHO, each person must be a fan of 1 football team. I don't know if someone can be a fan of 2 teams or more.  Grin
Sure, there will be 1 winner only, you must choose 1 team to be the favorite team. I prefer Man City to win it because their squad looks better, specifically when all the players are in good condition. Now, the injury players have recovered, they are ready to show their best performance in UCL.
~
Strange reasoning. It’s just as strange as arguing that you can’t be a fan of barbecue and computer games at the same time. In addition, I am generally against being a real fan of any club - sport is entertainment/business, but not a religious faith (and the wars that result from this). I like several clubs and over the course of the seasons my preferences change, I don’t see anything illogical in this: if a club provides a good product (game) I like it, if not, then I will find a better product.
A team that I consider a favourite today may perform poorly after a while or my favourite player may change. Also, since I have personal freedom, I can keep any club I want on my favourite list. You are right, People's preferences will change over time, and that's normal. I used  to be a die hard fan of  Barcelona. As long as Messi  was with this team, I liked Barcelona's  performance very much. But now  Barcelona's performance is quite poor, we  have to accept that. Now I find Manchester City and Real Madrid's performances very tidy. Although I am not a Madrid fan. However, we have to admit that this season the Madrid team is strong and their gameplay is very good. And we have to consider this team as the favorite  to win the Champions League title. At the same time, Munich and Manchester City also have great chances to win the Champions League title. We cannot underestimate any of these three teams.

If a team is good I will definitely support it. I'm also not in favour of supporting a team emotionally while people enjoy the game and are there for entertainment. I think my own preferences may change over time. No team should be emotionally supported for entertainment or betting purposes.

The Copenhagen versus Manchester City match is actually quite easy to predict, it is clear that Pep Guardiola fleet is superior in all aspects, and on the other hand City is the defending champion. If you look back a little at the group stage, Copenhagen qualified because they were lucky, because Manchester United and Galatasaray were inconsistent. Indeed, we cannot underestimate teams that have already qualified for the round of 16, even Copenhagen has the potential to trouble City. However, on paper Copenhagen was just lucky when playing at home in the first leg, and when playing at the Etihad we can easily guess what will happen there. At first glance, Copenhagen chances of qualifying for the quarter finals are very low, unless City loses balance ahead of the match.

Betting on City winning will be very safe, the risk of losing is very small, but the odds given by the bookie are certainly smaller. Apart from the surprise, Copenhagen will need a lot of luck to beat City, and perhaps the best result they can get is to hold Pep fleet to a draw. The return of key players like De Bruyne makes City more solid, and if Halaand is available again then City has the potential to win. Pep Guardiola certainly wants to defend the UCL trophy again, for now City condition is still very stable, and it's natural that they are the favorites to repeat the success like last season.

It's true that Madrid and Bayern Munchen are other favorite teams, I put them on the same page, where their chances and bargaining value in the UCL are equally good. Therefore, I hope that the meeting with fellow favorite teams will occur in the final, but if it happens earlier it will be a match like a final. Apart from all that, the final only provides two slots for two clubs, and apart from that all contestants will be eliminated starting from the round of 16, quarter finals and semi finals, today we assume the three teams above are better than the other contestants, but who knows, the three of them won't be in the final this time.

I think from the past record and performance of a team you can easily predict how far they will go in a competition and looking at the past record of the two teams you mentioned namely Real Madrid and Manchester City, I think they will keep getting highest ratings because they have proven past records especially the Real Madrid team who happens to have so many young and experienced players in the team.

Not forgotten the performance of the other teams this season, I think they have have had good performance especially in their local league, Inter Milan has been in great form as they are the league leaders in SeriaA while Arsenal is among the top4 in the EPL but there is a doubt in them if they can maintain good performance when they play both UCL and league matches. Barcelona is not looking like a team that can go far in the Champions League this season since they are struggling in the Spanish league since this season I doubt if they can face and overcome top teams when they get to round of 6 or 4 where they are likely going to face teams like Bayern Munich, Manchester City or Real Madrid.
Well not just from past records, when you check the current form of a club, you’ll know how excellently well they can perform. When you check Real and City then you can tell these 2 clubs aren’t gonna slow down on their performance anytime soon. Especially who are the title defenders in several competitions, they're a big club and they'll do anything to remain in a very good form.

They’ve got the quality that’ll be able to last them for a while and that’s what’s needed to succeed. These teams have a very good squad depth that can last a while and one added advantage is that the whole squad is very determined on winning. Other teams in the UCL have done well, Inter Milan and Barcelona but I don’t think these 2 will be a match to City or Real Madrid as these are 2 teams with enough quality and depth.
