In the Champions League everything is possible because it is filled with the best clubs from their respective leagues. But there are some clubs that are always declared to be favorites in every season, for example, Real Madrid. With their status as the club that has won the most titles, they are always taken into account in every season. But that doesn't end well either, sometimes they really succeed and sometimes they have to be eliminated early.
There is always a chance for other clubs, but it's not as big a chance as it is for the favorites.
In the Champions League it is rare for a club to win back-to-back titles, and one club that can do that is Real Madrid, who have won the Champions League three times in a row. They seem to have broken the curse that most people believe in the Champions League.

It is really interesting that some sources said Ancelotti already agreed on a deal with Brazil to sign it officially on next summer. But now we have got this news related to a contract extension between him and Real Madrid.  

But to tell the truth I'm satisfied with hearing about it. Because Real Madrid and Ancelotti have a really great coherence. He is a manager who won the La Liga and Champions League titles at the same time with Real Madrid. He has a really special place at Real Madrid for sure. Why would they want to let him go so early?

But I wonder one thing the most about him. I wonder whether Ancelotti would be able to share Zidane's record of winning the Champions League title 3 times in a row at least.  

I believe if inter is able to get to the finals this season, they will most likely win the trophy because they still have that desire and will to making sure they win the UCL last season they were much close and this season if they get any closer it will be a done deal even tho it has a lot to do with the team they meet at this stage.

Inter have been able to maintain a very healthy balance between the champions league and serie A, this has further increased my confidence in their ability, they almost want to share similar record with Leverkusen just that they have suffered a loss already while Leverkusen is yet to suffer any, I just hope they don't perform any lesser after this break, they have a fair fixture for the round of sixteen so I'm very optimistic about them possibly getting pass the round of sixteen and hoping to see them in the semi finals

Indeed, for the UCL it cannot be predicted with certainty who will win it because many of the teams competing in the UCL are really focused and for the Domestic League they just play more relaxed or you could say that their greatest strength is only revealed in the UCL.
But so far it can be seen from the performance of each team that it can be predicted who has the potential or is the strongest candidate to win the UCL this season. Moreover, several teams that have qualified for the round of 16 have shown the quality of play of each team.
I agree when I say that Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are the favorites and main candidates to win the title this season. These three team have shown good quality of play and in the January transfer window they have prepared the players they will bring in.
But of the three, it would be very interesting if Manchester City and Real Madrid entered the final to fight for the title, they could show how to play carefully but still have pretty good playing strategy in competing to score goals.

But what would you deem to be a surprise? If we look at Inter Milan and how they played in the final against Manchester City last season, I would not call it a surprise if they win the title this season. They are also playing an extraordinary season in Serie A. But at the same time they would be a winner we haven't seen in almost 15 years now. So it is kind of a surprise, but not really because everyone knows how strong they are.

What do you mean when you say surprising team? Like Eindhoven or Porto?

No ETA when those guys will be back again to the field caused by de bruyne needs to pass various test before he will able to play with manchester city again. Im not being skeptical about him but bruyne may able to play again next year.
We hope de bruyne and haaland can comeback as soon as possible but let's see how fast the development of their injury. Im not expecting they can back in a short time. Manchester city is going to be a disaster for other clubs if there will be haaland and de bruyne to play.
It's caused by they were always threatening any teams. I would like to see those guys to come back but i know that's impossible to happen. Manchester city can at very least still win the game and it's enough to keep up liverpool which is in the first position.
The come of haaland and bruyne will able to change a lot of things. They are keys owned by manchester city.

That's the picture in this competition and maybe we would also be happy if there was a surprising team that could win the Champions League title this season. We also know which strong teams always dominate or become champion candidates every season, but the fact is that sometimes these strong teams can't do anything if mediocre teams start to know how to stop them. Intensity and hard training are needed to be able to compete in this competition and if they don't have a winning mentality then it will be easier for them to be eliminated.

I am curious about Atletico because this team has repeatedly lost, whether in the semifinals or in the final, which means they failed to win the Champions League title. On the other hand, Arsenal is also a mediocre team in this competition but they currently have a good squad so I'm starting to wonder whether they can advance to the final round or not, especially as they are one of the big teams from England who have never won a title. champions league for the first time.

Manchester City and Bayern Munich, these two clubs may not make changes to their squads in the transfer market because both clubs still have capable and reliable squad. As for Real Madrid, I don't know for sure whether they will recruited new players, but as far as I know, Real Madrid needs a pure striker and has repeatedly wanted Mbappe and Haaland in this transfer market to strengthen their front line.

We agree, because after all the Champions League is different from other domestic leagues. in the round of 16 and the next round, each team will play 2 matches, either home or away. in this phase, each team will maximize its strength when competing against other teams. one mistake made by a player can have fatal consequences for the team as a whole. even if it's a strong team, they have the potential to be overthrown by teams that we don't expect. currently, the teams that are predicted to be strong competitors in the race for the trophy are Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. for me, these three teams have a chance to appear in the Champions League final. it's just that, we never know until it's time for the final round to be held. it could be that the three teams I mentioned were defeated by other teams who are also still involved in this competition. after all, the round of 16 had not yet been held. so, it is still not possible to determine which team will enter the final. so far, we can only assume and speculate because it is based on the team's strength, performance, and also how they play their matches in this competition. for me personally, I prioritize the beauty of the game in modern football.  Whoever the team is competing, let's just enjoy it. moreover, ahead of the crucial rounds until the final round. and there is no other way, but to follow every development until the end of this competition.

Bayern Munich is in a good form no doubts but then there is a level of inconsistency they showed most recently and considering they don't have a very good level of experience in the UCL, it has prompted some level of doubts within me about how well they are going to perform in the UCL this season especially as it has to do with winning the trophy.

De Bruyne don't seem like he's fully recovered, tho I learned he has started training with the team but he's yet to be seen playing any match recently. I agree that if Haland is able to maintain form and stays optimal while De Bruyne gets back on the pitch strong again, with doku on the flank, winning the UCL this season is very much possible for Manchester city because these combination have got the ability to break in to most defense found in the UCL this season, De Bruyne has got the needed creativity and Haland is always there to score the goals while doku is there to make the moves and assist so it's a complete forward if the tactics used by gardiola places them in this form

In my opinion, the setback experienced by Manchester city in the previous match was none other than because many of their players were injured. However, in January, Manchester city will be able to play Kevin De Bruyne again because he has recovered from the long injury that befell him. So Manchester city got a pretty good energy boost for the last 16 match so I think they will easily beat Copenhagen.

On the other hand, the most consistent team this season is of course Bayern Munich because they have a solid squad and also a great coach. Well, can Tuchel utilize the best strengths in his team to bring Bayern munich to the final. In the round of 16, Bayern munich will play against Lazio, which of course means Bayern munich is quite superior when compared to their opponents. I don't think there is a big obstacle for Harry Kane to score a goal against Lazio.

None was ignoring manchester city but city has lost tis chance to win UCL caused by the problem faced by the club. Losing de bruyne and haaland is going to be the most important factor why that club was not having bigger chance to take the EPL.
I strongly believe manchester city can comeback as long as there will be de bruyne in the club. City, real madrid and bayern munich are the strongest teams in the UCL this season. Im not doubting them to qualify for the further stage.
Manchester city is also slowly but surely making good progress in the domestic league even without haaland and de bruyne. I can also imagine once haaland and bruyne will comeback soon. It's going to be another disaster for another club.
The next one shall be from serie a and it's intermilan. I remember that how intermilan was able performing so well. The club was always working so hard to deliver the best result for the team. Intermilan is worthy to be on the semi final.
It's strong enough.

from my speculation, maybe this season the UCL title will be closer to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. that doesn't mean I doubt that Man City is indeed a team that is still worthy of being a candidate to hold the UCL title, but I'm a little less sure about the problems this team is experiencing because as a reliable scorer, Haaland has experienced quite a decline in performance after suffering an injury and one side even though KDB has been able to is back but won't necessarily be able to contribute as well as last season and we all know Real Madrid efforts this season to bring in a reliable striker even though we can't see who that player is but if it's Mbappe it will definitely be very difficult for Man City and Bayern Munich to displace Real Madrid from being the title candidate UCL this season.

let's try to delve deeper into all the teams in the last 16. only Real Madrid, Man City and Bayern Munich really deserve to be candidates this season because their performance looks very consistent even though they sometimes experience defeats, but we can judge from the playing style of these three teams. Its enough to make me confident that only these three teams will advance to the final round to determine the strongest team in the world.

De Bruyne suffered a long injury, and usually even if he recovers I'm not sure he will be able to play like before because usually players with long injuries find it difficult to improve their performance in a short time. However, Man City remains a tough competitor in the UCL league this season, along with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

In my opinion, currently only Bayern Munich is making things difficult for Real Madrid this season, because I'm not sure that Man City can perform like last season which was so perfect. Bayern Munich this season has a very strong squad, especially with the presence of Kane, but their defense is still fragile while Real Madrid does not have a deadly attacker. So these three teams have their own strengths and weaknesses and these three teams have the same chance of winning the UCL league.

The Champions League is always unpredictable. It is difficult to say which team will be the champion. No wonder an underdog team wins. A few years ago the Chelsea team won the Champions League title. No one imagines that a mediocre team like Chelsea will win the Champions League title. This season, Madrid, City, Bayern Munich are naturally favorites. However, there is no surprise if any team wins the title outside of these teams. Each group has strengths as well as several weaknesses.

In the Champions League, of course the strongest candidates to become champions are Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich. Other teams might be able to surprise us but we have 3 teams that are ahead of us to win the UCL trophy. Inter Milan is also getting stronger this season, they were even runners up last season, so Inter Milan also doesn't escape our attention that they will be able to disrupt the dominant team that is at the top.

The round of 16 will be the first step for every team that wants to shake up the Champions League this season. Inter Milan will face Atletico Madrid in the round of 16, of course a big obstacle that will be faced by Simone Inzaghi team. Thus, if Inter Milan manages to beat Atletico Madrid, of course they will still be able to maintain their dominance as a team that is ready to return to the final.

No one can currently ignore any team for the win with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich having edge, but all others are also at their best and having spot into round of 16 after winning their matches into group stage which is never been easy for any team most of the peoples are talking about just Real Madrid and Bayern Munich due to their strength and consistency, but this is never been guaranteed for the win here in this event with any underdog can also go through for the win.

Even I also agreed if these both not faced each other in quarterfinal or semifinal then surely having good chance for the last two, but few other teams are also able to do this while they are also consistent and good with we can't give them statement of strongest, but these are underdogs and capable of writing history with their performance in this season.

Chances are still very big for this especially with their status as defending champions, there is indeed a new hope where Manchester City are expected to be able to go back to back in the Champions League competition this season, it's just that saying with confidence I think this is still too hasty even though their probability is very high this time.

The presence of KDB and Haaland back to the squad after several months KDB could not contribute because of the injury he suffered certainly brings higher hopes for Manchester City, it's just that we also need to see whether in the end KDB is ready and can immediately adapt well again after an injury that took approximately 3 months.
This should be a little more concerned especially since several other big clubs also still have a strong chance to be and compete in the race for the Champions League trophy this season although indeed for the big match in the round of 16 there seems to be little to expect because the championship candidate club does not meet here. 

Ancelloti just extended his contract with the Spanish side. Real Madrid with Ancelloti is one team that have been in their perfect form this season. They know what they're after and they know how to get it. Without mincing, Ancelloti is the best coach so far. The fact that he's kept up with games even winning without a striker. His players versatility and coordination, the team spirit.
He's put his squad in check and has made them a better side at every encounter.

 I don't think anyone expects less from them and definitely beyond all doubt, they've not disappointed any one. The level of confidence we have in them is enough sign to prove that they're currently the best team. Injuries or not, they just have a way to turn the game to their advantage and favour and their ability to be consistent at the wins is actually intriguing. Definitely even if their opponent for the round of 16 may put up a competition, there's still this confidence that they'd subdue Leipzig and advance to the quarter finals and even win the tournament.

If De Bruyne and Haaland are able to continue their excellent performances like last season, then Manchester City will surely win the Champions League title this season as well. Also Bayern Munich team is very strong this season. The Munich management have built their squad this season with the aim of winning the Champions League title and the squad is very strong. Kane is also able to score a lot of goals. On the other hand, the performance of Real Madrid with the help of Ancelotti is very consistent. Looking forward to seeing how Madrid fare against the strong teams in the knockout rounds with their weak attack.
