A striker does need a good supply of balls that he can then utilize into a goal. A player cannot work alone, especially if it is an attacker who gets a lot of care from the opposing defender.
Maybe we can see Haaland at Manchester City, yes he is very good at finishing attacks, but don't forget that he also gets a very good supply from Manchester City midfielders, one of them from KDB. An attacking organizer will determine the fate of an attacker.
Right, however top level perform from striker if not get support from attacking midfielder and their team mates with good supply of ball will face difficult for scoring goals, seems Robert Lewandowski face this situation right now after his goals ration for this season drop significant than how many goals scored last season. Barcelona lack with midfielder creativities although have Ikay Gundogan but seems still not enough for helping Robert Lewandowski keep consistent scoring goals every games.

I remember with last several week when Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski have internal problem, youth Barcelona players not tries to give assists for Robert Lewandowski and prefer for scoring goals by him self. Robert Lewandowski have dropped goals in UEFA Champion League, have played four matches he only scored 1 goal.

Even if you consider this chance for Manchester United to win the game against Bayern Munich and get qualified in this group to pass the stage, but Manchester United is not a team in the good situation to have any chance in this tournament during this season and I think it's better for Ten Hag to focus on the Premer League instead of that.

the chances of Manchester United winning over Bayern Munich are zero because Bayern has only one target which Is to win and the condition of united is another advantage to Bayern so they will do everything possible to win, and no one is stopping Bayern from going to round sixteen it is a sure banger, even manchester united already know that they won't go far in the tournament they have a plan and once their slot is secured then they will see how next season will be so that before then they will know what places and work on places that need to be fixed because they need fixing.

The focus of the Red Devils is to earn another solid spot in UEFA Champions League next season and qualifying for next round in UCL this season, that alone will boosts their performance against mediocre teams and also elite clubs. Manchester united have misused their chances of qualifying for the next phase of the UEFA Champions League and now they have a die-hard job to win  Bayern Munich in the last leg of group stage match. Erik Ten Hag will only attempt to beat Thomas Tuchel but he will not lack the necessary strategies to implement against such an elite Bundesliga giant.

And securing a slot in the champions league is the best at least they already know the condition that they are and that is very smart of ten because don't be surprised their game will change next season,  and they need to start to improve and start changing players and buying more players and that is one thing I love about Guardiola is always going for the best players, and that is why manchester city is always doing, and that is his strategy nothing special that he uses.

there is no other choice but to accept the current situation and focus more on the EPL to improve its position even though it has to lose the match in the UCL but however it is in accordance with what was done by Ten Hag who failed to bring his team to a higher level after the many problems that occurred in this season and I was a little doubtful about Man United when the early stages of the match started the bad performance was very clear from Man United so I just tried to think positively if I still had a chance but it turned out my thinking was wrong and I had to see that Man United had no chance in the UCL or in european league.

this situation will put pressure on the Man United owner to really think about whether to keep Ten Hag or replace him with a new, better coach and everyone will say the same thing, they want Ten Hag to be replaced by a more experienced coach.
It's true what you say. I think United would be better off focusing on getting a place in the top four to get a ticket to the Champions League next season. Currently they are in 6th place in the standings and they still have a very big chance of doing that. I'm not sure if they can qualify for the UEFA Europa League. And if you look at United's current quality I think it's better for them to stay focused on the EPL.

Many fans are urging club management to replace Ten Hag. It seems like they have given the coach many opportunities. I don't know what considerations the club management had in mind when deciding to keep Ten Hag.

They must win against Bayern while hoping Copenhagen and Galatasaray draw and that is not an easy matter.
Obviously that is a difficult thing to do considering that Munich is not a weak club, they are the strongest club in the UCL so they will probably have difficulty winning against them. Let's just say that if Manchester United managed to win narrowly with 1 - 0, that doesn't guarantee qualification either because Galatasaray and Copenhagen will not be able to play a draw because one of them wants to qualify from the group to the next round.

I just think that it is possible that Galatasaray will qualify for the group accompanying Munich because of course Manchester United will not succeed. But even if they qualify or not, Manchester United still have to play as hard as possible and not suffer another defeat in this last match which will also determine whether they qualify or not.

You have raised a very good point here and I also agree that Manchester United doesn’t have a strong team that can compete for the champions league title going further to the elimination stage. If they get to qualify at this state they are now, the attention of the team will be shifted to the UCL on how to make themself farewell there and will forget about the premier league matches. If they diversify their attention, they might end up losing the two in the end. I feel they should focus more on maintaining a good lead in the premier league, fighting to maintain a spot within the top four position will be the best for them.
I agree with your point of view, as this has also been my concern for a while now, it's normal that most persons want to see Manchester united qualify to the next round because they have got the experience and it's an English team with other reasons too. The biggest question is how far will they go after the elimination stage, that is if they they will get pass elimination.

Manchester's current squad is such that they don't have the form to compete for the UCL title this season, they also have too many inconsistency in their performance both in the premier league and the UCL, I was thinking crashing out of the carabao cup would help their focus on the UCL and champions league well enough to improve their performance but it turned out they were even appearing almost worse, so if they happen to get to the elimination stage in the UCL their attention may be redirected and their EPL performance may likely suffer, it looks like Manchester united isn't built for multi tasking this season.

It is interesting to see that Manchester United will lose qualifying to the round of 16 in this season of the Champions league even when from the Group A table, it was easier for us to predict Bayern and Manchester United to scale through to the next challenge in the table, unfortunately and unlucky for Manchester United, they are at the bottom of the table with just a 4 points meaning they have only won 1 match and draw in 1. The rest have been failure upon failure.

I didn't really envisaged the efforts that Copenhagen and Galatasaray will put into the games most especially that of the Copenhagen and was just looking at the two elite clubs but as football will have it, this is not the case and that's why there is beauty in football. Your expectations sometimes are beaten by the reality of things on the pitch and every team is bracing up by the day to become stronger and more challenging, so you don't have issues of monopoly of clubs or the likes.

There is still hope for everyone to qualify for this group, only Bayern Munich is certain to progress to the next round. However, I see that only Man United has a harder time qualifying in this group because their opponent is Bayern Munich and for me Bayern Munich is not an easy opponent even though in the 5th match yesterday they drew against Copenhagen. In fact, this draw will be a special motivation for Bayern Munich to chase three points in the closing match of Group A with 16 points.

Onana is actually good if his defender is also good, I don't blame Onana alone for Man United's conceding. But this is ETH's job to prepare defenders to remain solid and strong in Man United's defense. My prediction in group A that will accompany Bayern Munich to the last 16 is Galatasaray.
I still think Manchester United still has a chance of qualifying though they are playing against Bayern but because of how they played in their first leg though they lost but it was a difference of 1 goal and which nobody expected, we all thought bayern would have won that game with more goals and concede less. While man United has been inconsistent I think they still got a chance of being the better team here if they really want to

Even if you consider this chance for Manchester United to win the game against Bayern Munich and get qualified in this group to pass the stage, but Manchester United is not a team in the good situation to have any chance in this tournament during this season and I think it's better for Ten Hag to focus on the Premer League instead of that.

At least they can qualify for the next round so as not to tarnish the quality of the EPL, which sometimes always qualifies for the next phase without any obstacles.
At the moment they are difficult to get that because of the situation they have to rely on other clubs to qualify and this clearly tarnishes the name of Manchester United itself.
I honestly expect maximum results but again with the current situation of Manchester United to make them qualify is difficult and it is likely that they will only give up with the current situation.
They must win against Bayern while hoping Copenhagen and Galatasaray draw and that is not an easy matter.

Barcelona has always failed to qualify for the group phase in the last two seasons, or more precisely when Lionel Messi left Camp Nou, so Xavi was asked to focus more on overcoming this problem so as not to fail again. This season, Barcelona has confirmed that they will qualify for the next round even though there is still one match left in the group phase and this is what the management and fans hope for.

In the last two seasons, Barcelona have been a team in complete disarray. Bonding between team players was not good. The squad also lacked experienced players. Because of this, Barcelona's performance in the Champions League was very poor. But this season Barcelona team is strong. Although their performances have been somewhat erratic, the team has a strong squad. It probably won't be difficult for Barcelona to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Xavi has continued to gradually strengthen this team.

personally, I wouldn't want I Manchester United to qualify for the Europa League Competition. They should rather take that momentum to the Premier League and build capacity and make sure they seal a safe spot in the Premier League standing. The games over if either of Galatasaray or Copenhagen wins. Can they both get to share points, then Manchester United will fight hard to win against Bayern Munich.
Are you serious? I believe any team want to become a champion whether it's Europa or Champions League. What safe spot do you mean? Manchester United will never ever relegated because even they're struggle, they're still better than the other teams.

If you mean safe spot is top 4 positions, what's the difference if Manchester United will qualify for Champions League and they're not have power to become a champion in the next season. Will you say it's a wasting time again to play in Champions League? lol.
Given the fact that they are not as strong as they think they are, I would prefer to see them focus only on their immediate matches. For example, now that they will face Bayern Munih, they should focus on the mtch only without thinking about whether or not they will be able to qualify from this group stage to the last 16 or even to go to the Europa League. As a club they want the best, like now they want to be in the last 16, but if they can't beat Bayern Munich then it's not possible. Even if they do beat Bayern Munich, they are at the mercy of the other clubs in the same group.

Still, the result from united will be totally determined by the match between galatasaray vs copenhagen. It doesn't even matter how many scores being made by united against bayern and it will still useless. I meant if galatasaray vs copenhagen is the key.
Without seeing it gets draw and it's impossible for manchester united to go to the next stage. It's caused by it's quite impossible for united to pass the group stage without winning against bayern + draw faced by galatasaray and copenhagen.
Im doubting MU can make it. It's quite impossible to happen.

It'll be total waste of energy playing for the Europa League Competition if Manchester United has no clear motives of winning the trophy.
Getting a little bit busy during this transfer window would do Erik Ten Hag a big deal of good.

As Manchester United's performance is very erratic right now. So the team should now focus on only one direction. If they only play in the Champions League, it will be easier for Manchester United to maintain a stable performance and consistently perform well. On the other hand they cannot stabilize the performance due to BC schedule due to playing in Europe League or Champions League. However, I'm not sure if this team can do well in the Europa League even if they qualify for the Europa League. Manchester United's performance against Copenhagen and Galatasaray in the Champions League was not good either. These two groups were not very strong.

Barcelona in the last season was much better and they had a better performance but because of the financial issues they have in this team, we can't expect to see more from Xavi, I was hoping to see a good performance from Barcelona during this Chmpaunos League but to be honest this team is not in the same situation with other teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munch, especially in this tournament and there is not much hope for them.
Yeah Barcelona last season was more better in performance than what I'm seeing in there performance this season because they were able to go far last season and had a lot of winings but however this season was there worst season ever because they are having it seriously difficult to perform because there are some positions that needs to be handled by more experience players but they were unable to do that because the financial challenge they are currently having and if they are not able to fixed the problem I'm afraid Barcelona performance will be more poor next season than this season.

But if they manages to get some good players you will see that the team will surely peak form next season, actually what they just need is striker like Haaland or Kelvin de Bruyne and few defenders and they are okay to win any match, well I believe that there will surely be hope for them next season.

It is true that striker is greatly influenced by other players from the midfield position in creating goal and the biggest contribution in carrying out attacks is found in players in the midfield position.
Because those in the midfielder position must be able to create attacks that really outwit the opponent defense line, then the striker can find good position to execute shooting kick at the goal.
Talking about Haaland, who is owned by Manchester City, they experienced a setback during KBD injury and Haaland also did not play very well during KBD absence, all of this is probably because of the important role that KBD had in bringing Manchester City to victory.
He is midfielder who contributed greatly to Manchester City achievements last season, in the Premier League alone he managed to score 7 goals with 16 assists.

I'm not sure the owners or management of Manchester United will quickly realize what they are going through these days. They are not that bad, but their inconsistency makes them look like they are not a big team that has a good history, in the Chmpions League or in the Premier League.
Erik Ten Hag is in the spotlight after being considered unable to bring Mamchester United to a better level, it is natural that the coach gets such pressure. There has been no response from Manchester United about his future.
If this awareness could be had then it would have been some time ago, and their biggest mistake was relying too much on Tan Hag in Manchester United progress.
We know that Tan Hag is coach with lot of experience and achievements, but in the few matches he has coached Manchester United, it has become clear that in the end he will fail and it has been proven that now Manchester United does not have any chance in all the leagues in which he participates.
They blamed Ten Hag for not being able to bring about change but they couldn't realize that from the start.

I think, Manchester united coach is trying his best to improve the team to stand on a solid ground in this champions league competition to make people believe that he is capable to lead the team to embrace the title in this season, but it will be difficult for Bayern Munich to allow the dream of Manchester united to come true in their next match. Manchester united has four points which they are expecting Galatasaray to draw with their opponent so that they will have the opportunity to qualify from the group, and it will be difficult for such mistakes to happen in this period that many teams want to qualify from their various groups. It was a beautiful victory for Manchester united to defeated Chelsea 2-1 in the premier league competition to prove to people that they are still stronger than Chelsea despite the challenges they are facing in this season.

To be fair it could very well be because of the team as well, Lewandowski is not playing just 1v1 football on some street, its 11v11 and maybe the team is not giving him the balls that he needs. When you do not pass to a player like him properly, then you end up with a bad result from him, he can't give you the goals you need if you just make him find the score himself, you need to pass him at the right time which is a team thing. A first round exit from the Champions League is good for Manchester United. I say this because this team's performance in the Premier League has been erratic. If their target is only Premier League matches, then their performance is likely to be more stable. But if they want to continue their good performances in the Champions League and the Premier League at the same time, we will only see erratic and poor performances from them. Ten Hag should set only one goal. It is important to stabilize his squad. Manchester United are not in a good position to do well in the Champions League this season.

I believe that he has done wonderful last year because they really relied on him last year, but this season they are playing other players that can score too, which results with those players trying to shoot more often, and gives him less passes he can finish.
A striker must be able to put himself in the right position so that he can get the ball from another player to score a goal and this type of striker usually really depends on the performance of the midfielders and the support of the wingers. Barcelona have good resources in midfield and the wings should not make it difficult for Lewandowski to score goals. There are times when players miss the best moment to score a goal and that is why football is about collectivity not about one person, so that when the striker is unable to score a goal there are other players who can take that role.

Support from other players to provide him with passes must have been given because the Barcelona players played solidly but it seems like Lewandowski was unable to score goals and did not manage to use the passes well, that's why other strikers who can use them well and can provide goals, indeed Xavi should not only rely on Just 1 striker because even though Lewandowski is an experienced player, sometimes the player experiences a decline in performance when his stamina is no longer as strong as before. I think it's normal because Lewandowski is no longer young, perhaps a history of injury has made him lose his balance so he can no longer score many goals.

This season is lucky for Barcelona because they are in a group that is not as tough as the last 2 seasons. This season Barcelona has pocketed enough points and is certain to qualify as group H winners.
