Milan's defense and goalkeeper Maignan deserve appreciation because they were able to break every opportunity that PSG's forwards had. Dominating the match and having several opportunities to score made PSG's defense relaxed so that in the end Giroud managed to take advantage of the winning goal in the 50th minute. Mbappe had difficulty finding space to score because Milan's defense was really solid in guarding the penalty box area and this victory opened up opportunities for Milan because in the other match Newcastle lost.

Yes, it was Barcelona's first defeat in the Champions League even though overall Barcelona dominated possession of the ball but in reality Barcelona couldn't do much, in the first half Shaktar took the lead in the 40th minute Barcelona still could not equalize until the game ended and in the end Barcelona had accept his to defeat.

I saw a good defensive strategy in the Champions League without making a foul in the area near the goal. Shakhtar did it very well, they could even prevent Barcelona from reaching the goal. Barcelona couldn't get a shot on target because the defense was tight and layered, which is a good strategy when playing with a team that can dominate the match with ball possession like Barcelona. This is not a bad sign for Barcelona, but it is a good sign for them because then Xavi can be more careful in determining his main line-up.

For sure Group F is the most difficult group in the Champions league, we have PSG, AC Milan, Dortmund, and Newcastle united that has taken England by surprise since last season. I really didn't expected Barcelona to lose to be fair, but this doesn't feel like it would change anything. Surely, they want to win as much as possible, wins are always a good boost to morale, and they would feel better about it. But at the same time, its almost guaranteed that they will go up without any trouble, doesn't feel like they will even become second, they will most probably beat the rest of the games and end up with the first place, that feels like a good thing. Milan game was also a shocker, PSG is putting their position at trouble, they may end up having going up, that group looks like all four could be in the first two, we still have no idea who will go up.

I think you can't blame him. I assume most people predicted PSG to win the match. It is just a surprise that AC Milan can defeat PSG although they are not in a good condition lately. Giroud became the hero again for AC Milan, he showed people that he still deserved to be AC Milan main striker although he is no longer young player.
