Fenerbahçe is playing a critical match in the evening.
Lille took the advantage with a goal in the last minute in the first match.
Even though he did not play good football in the first match in Lille, he managed to get the advantageous score.
In the evening, Fenerbahçe must win with two different advantages to advance to the round.
In my personal opinion, Fenerbahçe cannot pass the tour. He can't even beat Lille at home. I hope I'm wrong.

Here is a parlay I'm thinking of betting on, total odds: 5.60. What is your opinion on it?  Smiley

I see that the biggest risk is Fenerbahçe win. Because they didn't play good enough in the first leg and lost by 2-1. But they have Mourinho and have nothing to lose from now on also. I wanted to take the risk. It feels like Fenerbahçe will finish 90 minutes by one goal ahead and we will see extra time.

Bodo/Glimt already won by 1-0 once. But I think they would like to consolidate it by another win. The last 2 matches on the parlay look like the most trusted ones for me.

Real Madrid have the same ability to win the Champions League as they do the UEFA Super Cup.

Moreover, if we consider between these two teams in terms of players, then Real Madrid will be the most advanced. Because some of the world-class forwards in the Real Madrid club are capable of turning the tide of the game at any time. They include Vinicius Junior, Rodrigo, Kylian Mbappé. Moreover, Jude Bellingham, Luka Modric are also used to perform well as midfielders.

Real Madrid have very good tradition and currently their squad is very strong too. If they win Champions League, they have a strong squad with which they are likely able to win Super Cup so it makes sense to see they often win Super Cup after winning Champions League one season ago.

With players you named, Real Madrid have many star players who can decide the match against Atalanta but the Euro 2024 and Coppa America 2024 can affect their star players and their readiness for a new season. It gives Atalanta chances to make surprise in Super Cup match this year.

Atlanta and Gian Gasperini done good job before two big games, and they never allow them to have any resistance against them with both time their strategy works, and they pulled out Liverpool then have won against Bayer Leverkusen in final game and clinch the trophy with no one expecting them to have win like this, but they have done and now having good chance of giving good performance at this level because they are having good squad and their player's chemistry is also good for facing big clubs.
Atalanta won Europa League by beating Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen but as I knew in the last season, Gasperini planned to leave Atalanta. Did he change his mind and decide to stay with Atalanta?

Quick check with Transfer market, the coach is still in Atalanta.

It's hard for Atalanta to beat Real Madrid than beat Bayer Leverkusen because Los Blancos is a bigger and more successful club than Leverkusen. They are more experienced in final matches and Super Cup matches than Leverkusen too.

First of all, I think this Atalanta side is being underrated here after all they achieved last season, Atalanta were the underdogs in the UEFA Europa League finals against a Bayern Leverkusen side that has had an unbeaten run almost in all competitions including their domestic league where they have played against German giants like Bayern Munich, borussia Dortmund, Stuttgart, etc yet unbeaten but this Italian side comfortably dislodged Bayern Leverkusen without conceding a single goal, i think they should be given a chance, i know real Madrid has a winning mentality but it wouldnt be fair if the italian side is to be written off before the game, don't forget that atalanta are capable of causing an upset in this match against real Madrid as they did against Bayern Leverkusen last season.

I tried to dig around and it seems like some news reported he decided to stay instead of moving to Napoli[1]. Not sure if the source is reliable but it seems like he's keen to keep managing Atalanta as long as he faces a good challenge that he can solve. He's quite vocal about football economy issue based on some articles that I've read, so he's probably not going to leave for a big clubs who're drowned in debt or something similar. I hope he can continue to achieve good result with Atalanta so that we see more matches like Atalanta vs Leverkusen last season, hopefully in the CL this time. CMIIW.

Come 14th of August,. Champions of UEFA Champions League Winners would be up against UEFA European Europa League Competition Winners.
This should be a good chance for Kylian Mbappe to win his very first trophy for Real Madrid and at the same time, making his debut for Real Madrid.
I'm not expecting less from Real Madrid during this game. They might have seen some.of their best players leaving but they've still got to be winners at the end of this fixture. In between, what are your predictios for this game? Real Madrid winning 3--0 is my prediction.

This will be an interesting watch, I will be looking forward to the match, Real Madrid are overall favorites to come out as champions, in this final match I am curious about the strategy that Ancelotti will use whether Kylian Mbappe will come in as a striker or as a winger alternating with Vini Jr. On the other hand, Atalanta are not easy to beat considering they are the champions of the UEFA Europa League last season, in this case Real Madrid should not underestimate Atalanta even though in terms of strength el real wins, so I think a score of 2-1 for Madrid's victory is enough.

I don't think this game is going to be that interesting to me considering the fact that the book markers has already picked the favorite team to win the game and it's the same thing with the prediction of most bettors since the teams involved in this game are not in the same level when compared to their performance and history.

Real Madrid will start the season with a win against Atalanta because the team is already surrounded with a lot of talent ready to destroy any team at any given time so we will expect the Real Madrid coach to do justice to the game by coming out with his full squad and Mbappe as the team's striker to lift the super cup trophy once again.

Real Madrid plays like the Manchester United of those days and their manager is like Alex Ferguson who doesn't underestimate the performance of any club, Ancelotti will play with his full squad and when he sees that the Atalanta team is becoming too difficult for his team I trust him to come up with the substitutions that will bring the desired results that the team wants, I'm personally picking Real Madrid to have an easy win against Atalanta.
The striking difference in strength is a factor in most bettors favoring Real Madrid to emerge as champions, not infrequently there are also those who favor Atalanta, because this is how exciting gambling is, but when talking about the final of a football match, there are always surprises that occur, Atalanta will definitely provide strong resistance, it is interesting to wait for what kind of resistance Atalanta will provide.

and from several rumors circulating in the final later, Real Madrid will not field a full core squad, considering the euro yesterday, this could be utilized by Atalanta, but the news has not been confirmed to be true, I personally want to see the full strength that will be fielded by el real to lift the trophy.

Atalanta was the better side that night during that finals. Last season, everyone can attest to how much of a great side Bayern Leverkusen was, Atalanta just had a better approach in that game than Bayern Leverkusen. In between, Ademola Lookman single handedly won them that game with his top class performance. Africans do not say too much about him no more, he deserves the African best player award.
I don't rate the friendly games, though they're good for preparing your sqaud and testing the waters. Important players are also given less game time so they could avoid injuries and at the same time, prepare themselves for the new season ahead. I'll be rooting for Bayern Leverkusen anyways. They have sold a few players and also added for depth. Winning the Bundesliga League Competition again has also been talked about within the club & squad.

Now as we are heading for the Champions League with new format we are having too many things to be fixed but this all will be done as we will be having start of the season because right now we have nothing to check with many teams are going to play their games for qualification tomorrow with few are surely having good depth, and we can expect them to have spots in main round as well.

Real Madrid has a tradition of winning everything that comes with winning the Champions league. It will be nice to see Mbappe playing for his dream club. This match is going to be keenly contested, there will be goals but it won't come mostly in the first half. Mbappe is going to score in this particular match. The score won't be one sided I'm seeing a situation where both teams scores. Atlanta is a team that don't waste chances, we saw that in the Europa league final last season, so the few they will get, they are going to score at least a goal from it. A scoreline of 3:1 in favour of Real Madrid is a likely outcome for the match.
Real Madrid have the same ability to win the Champions League as they do the UEFA Super Cup. UEFA Super Cup finalist Real Madrid are currently champions of the Champions League and Europa League, while their opponents Atalanta may not have much reputation next to their name.

Moreover, Jude Bellingham, Luka Modric are also used to perform well as midfielders. Among the teams that have participated in the final of the UEFA Super Cup so far, Real Madrid has won the most titles with a maximum of five times. If they win the title this time, they may win the UEFA Super Cup for the sixth time.

Real Madrid will destroy Atalanta, Atalanta lost 2 of their best players, Gianluca Scamacca which is their striker and Giorgio Scalvini which is their best defender. This will make Atalanta become weaker, Real Madrid have so many world class defenders unlike Leverkusen.

Atalanta might not able to score any goal, probably Real Madrid will win 2-0 against Atalanta.

you have to pay attention to Atalanta and what they pay attention to, they are a very difficult team, not everyone has understood this and they continue to underestimate them, they have excellent players and could also do harm to renowned teams like Real Madrid Cheesy

What I like about Real Madrid is that they never underestimate their opponents and this makes me respect Ancelotti. Yes what Real Madrid is doing right now reminds me of Manchester United in the era of Sir Alex Ferguson. Atalanta managed to make a surprise last season by beating Leverkusen, one of the best teams that almost got the invincible treble. But I think what will happen this time will be different. Real Madrid are the UCL champions and they are very difficult to beat. Atalanta must be really solid to be able to draw with Real Madrid or even win the match. I also choose Real Madrid to be the champion of the UEFA super cup. There is no doubt they will win this cup.
The UEFA Super Trophy is a trophy that is no less prestigious than the Champions League and La Liga, so Madrid should not underestimate other teams including Atlanta, the match will be played in two days and both teams both Atlanta and Madrid are currently preparing their squads for facing this important match, it is even reported that Madrid will field Mbappe in this match so this indicates that Ancelotti squad is not taking Atlanta lightly, Madrid definitely has the motivation and also good squad depth to face Atlanta, but this is different from Atlanta which actually has a big gap with the current injury suffered by scamacca.

Madrid will definitely be the favorites in this match considering their status as the rulers of Europe, but even so, Atlanta, who surprised us last season with their ability to win the European League, of course they will provide fierce resistance against Madrid and even I think the match It will be very tough going and it will be difficult considering that this is the start of the season and the strength of the two teams is still not visible.

I'm looking forward to that super cup game. Mbappe didn't participate in any of the Real Madrid preseason game and I was wondering why. Turns out they were saving him for that super cup trophy game.  The real reason I'm looking forward to the game is to see the kind of fire power that Real Madrid will pack with Mbappe, Bellingham, Vini and possibly Rodrigo in their team because a lot of the folks here somehow think that because Madrid now has Mbappe that they will win the UCL again for the 2024/2025 season.

I will be here for it. 2 days to go!

This is going to be a good opportunity for Mbappé to start the season with some good performance. I am saying that because of course Real Madrid is a better club and has a better squad. So there is no reason why they should not be able to win this match. Honestly, I am expecting goals from not only Real Madrid but also Mbappé as well. Also, be able to see how he is able to link up with his teammates. He is a great player, probably the best in the world right now. And Real Madrid knows very well how to use a player like that. We are in for sure in this match between Real Madrid and Atalanta. I also am pretty certain that neither of these teams are going to take this match lightly. It will mean a lot to Atalanta if they are able to win this match. So they are going to go hard at Real Madrid.
They should be able to win actually from speculation though atalanta is not a small team so it will still be a tough game to win actually bur with their squad they should be able to do it.
However, from my perspective I think if Mbappe wants to have a goal or some goals in that match they need to come up with a plan or strategy because they all know its Mbappe's debut and he would love to seal it with a goal thus all focus might be on him so they need a well strategies plan and that's if they are willing to communicate

Leverkusen has issues. Key players are being cut, and it's not just gossip; it threatens their Champions League hopes. They ruled the Bundesliga and Europe last season. But if those stars leave, that synergy Alonso built? Gone

The preseason friendlies? They're not just warmups. They're tests. Can Leverkusen's bench perform? Without their major guns, can they adapt? Because Champions League is cruel. Every game is a war, so mistakes are unacceptable

Honestly, I'm worried. With a possibly decimated team, can they repeat last season's magic? Though tactically gifted, Alonso can't perform miracles. This transfer window could decide Leverkusen's season
I feel like they are not a team that depends on the talent of the players, they are not a star team, they are just a team who is trying to do fine by playing a system and if they lose some players and got some other players instead, I feel like they should be fine.

The problem is that we are already at middle of august, which means that if they sell any players, then getting someone new will be hard, you would need to get players that are either unwanted by their teams, or you will get players who will not be all that great for the system. Which is why I think we are talking about a transfer period that is quite late for them, it will not be working too well and if this was a month earlier then it would have been fine.

I agree with you that Real Madrid is the favorite in this match because I don't think that Atalanta players will be able to withstand the pressure from Real Madrid players since the have a very powerful attacking force. Also Ancelotti will love to start the season with a victory and a trophy to show that it will be a season of trophies and progress for them.

I don't know which tactics Atalanta will use to overpower Real Madrid because I think it will be possible for Atalanta to make Real Madrid find it difficult to win them.
Considering that the squad depths of these two teams are different, I don't think Atalanta will implement an open game strategy if they want to beat Real Madrid. Defending and counterattacking are the most common strategies used by opposing team coaches when they play against Real Madrid, unless both teams have the same team qualities.

Atalanta are not favorites to win the match against Real Madrid, but underestimating them would be a mistake. Ancelotti will definitely field his best players in this match to increase the chances of victory, so it would be a great reward to start the season.

Indeed, the new format now seems to have an effect on the foresight of the coach because it could be that with a busy schedule for several big clubs because they participate in several competitions at once, the players certainly cannot be too pushed because they can be at greater risk later, especially for injury problems.
At this point, yes, that's right. Coaches of big teams need extra strategy in formulating strategies and acumen in facing competition with the new format of the Champions League.
The tight schedule is something that will make it difficult for coaches to find the best options. I personally do not doubt all the teams competing in the Champions League even though they are considered weak teams and everything related to this is not an easy matter.
Currently for the group phase which is replaced by the league phase for each club there are at least 2 additional matches, not to mention those who are in position 9-24 which requires them to play again in the play off phase in order to get a slot to the last 16 which of course this will add to their schedule later.
There will be a lot of situations that occur when a busy schedule like this occurs so it will indeed be very wise for a coach later (including for big clubs) to be more able to see the potential and rotation of the players to be played because with the addition of the schedule it is certain that this will affect several things including the portion of each player in the match.
It will be worth it for some big clubs because their core and reserve squads are not too far away in terms of quality but it is different with small clubs who really have to make sure what they should prioritize when they are in the Champions league or domestic competitions.

I hope I understand the new format correctly. I think I agree that making the top 8 is really hard for an underdog team, but still not impossible. It's not like some of the weakest teams reached the round of 16 frequently in the past. It was rather teams like Porto, which I think could still win again a top team in a home game. That shouldn't be forgotten. Every team is granted four home games against a team of each of the four categories. It would still be possible for teams like Porto to beat a top team at home.

It is also kind of treacherous. I can imagine how the top teams might give away some points in the early games due to playing negligently. 8 games sounds like more than enough to correct bad results, but if a top team gets started with a game away from home against an underdog and loses it, which can always happen, and then in the next game faces Real Madrid, it could quickly maneuver itself into trouble.

It is still not easy to anticipate how that will play out. I liked the old format but before I say that everything was better in the past, let's see how this format works.

The new format will leave weak teams no chance, if before they had a chance to play well and even perform a feat or sensation, in one match it was possible, now they will have too many strong opponents to count on anything.

In theory, I understand how everything should work, but I want to see how it will all happen in practice, to what extent the luck factor will play a role in this format. In fact, I do not understand why these changes and why they were not satisfied with the old format, which worked quite well. For teams, this will also be several additional games, and for teams that play in the Champions League and always have a very busy schedule, this will be an even bigger load, in addition to their championships, cups and other tournaments.

I think there are a lot of variables coming into this. First of all more matches mean more money. And the Champions League is literally the biggest club competition in the whole world in any sport. So I think there is a chance that they have increased the number of matches so that they can make more money. And I don’t think people are actually going to complain a lot. Because this means more entertainment for people.

The only thing that I believe will be a problem is the injuries of the players. There is a chance that the big clubs are not going to be able to play the best 11 in all the Champions League matches. Well, I don’t think they did that earlier either, but now it is going to be a bigger problem for the coaches to actually rotate the squad. This might actually mean more injury problems for clubs. And of course, the schedule is also going to be congested. Other than that I don’t think there is much to complain about, at least for the fans and those who will be making money.
