This was also what I thought about this match previously.
Yes, they actually looked convincing in the early stages, especially when they managed to equalize in just 2 minutes. However, Dortmund's ability to dominate again and score that many goals, made Celtic increasingly helpless in both the front and back lines.

I really want to laugh seeing the results of the three matches.
All three failed to secure 3 points to boost their positions in the first layer, and in the end, they could only be in the 3rd layer of the standings this time, along with Barcelona who had previously lost in the first match. In fact, for now, Dortmund is the leader of the standings. and the next match, there will be a repeat of last season's UCL final, yes Dortmund vs Real Madrid will be the next big one match

With these kinds of surprising results, I have seen in today's Champions League match, it's like the teams we thought to reach the finals will not smell their way there due to their poor performance. Look at the way the teams we regard as big Champions League title contestants lose their matches to teams we never thought could score against them, even win against them.

This big team's losing to small teams has destroyed people's match bookies for bets wins. However, in football matches, it's what it is "full of surprises" that any team can win against the other when you never expect.

What's more shocking about this result is that Benfica had 11 shots on target and Oblack saved 7 of them. So it could have easily been 6 or 7-0 because Atletico did not have a single shot on target. Atletico were totally outplayed. They were all over the place. It was awful to watch them. It's been a long time since I've seen Simeone's team outplayed this much.


When Juventus got that red card, I thought the game was over for them. I thought the best they could do was defend their lead till the end of the game. Not long after that, they conceded a penalty and I thought that was it. There was no way I would believe they could come back from that knowing the kind of attacking team Leipzig is, but Juventus somehow got a winner and held on till the end of the game. An added 9 minutes was added to the game, but Juventus held on and defended well. Kudos to them, they did a very great job winning away from home with 10 men. As the commentator said "A win for the ages"

This is why we keep saying that the UCL is full of surprises, and no team should be written off. Real Madrid lossing to Lille, please how?. Atletico Madrid beaten as if they've never played a champions league game before, please how?. And villa defeating Bayern, though I was expecting this. I think at the end of the 8 games, some big teams might not even make it to the round of 16, because the points that might possibly deny them is either 3 or 1.

Let's start with the madrid games. I don't know about others, but I still feel that Rmadrid are not in their best form this season. I've noticed the way they tend to lag in some games, but I hope fatigue has not started telling on them at this early hour, because the number of games played so far isn't even up to 25%. For the Amadrid game, lossing can sometimes happen, but losing 4-0 is just unimaginable. And it seems both madrid team couldn't even win their game. This is weird.

As for the villa game. Congratulations to them. I just had the feeling from t he beginning that 3 points was very possible for them to get. Though, I was only able to watch the first half, and I saw how Bayern dominated more, but it was obvious that Villa wanted to score, and they had to rely on heavy counters and the speed of their players. To be honest, today's result is very shocking, and I believe majority of those that place a bet for today's games will end up getting nothing, because no one saw that Rmadrid's loss coming.

Yes, it seems that many bettors suffered losses today, no one expected the more favored teams to suffer defeats, Atletico was the most embarrassing. Lille, Aston Villa and Benfica acted beyond expectations, regardless of the course of the match, they were very lucky to secure 3 points. For the match week 3 later, bettors really have to consider many aspects before placing bets. On the other hand, Juventus, Liverpool and Club Brugge also managed to secure full points, while Dinamo Zagreb was forced to share points with AS Monaco.

With today match results full of surprises, of course many parties will agree that the new format of the Champions League is currently increasingly difficult to predict. Because all contestants are ambitious to finish in the top 8 of the standings, in order to avoid more matches to reach the round of 16 through the playoff route. Personally, I believe that the standings that have been formed now will change again in the future, because there are still 6 matches left in the future.

Second half came with alot of surprise as Juventus pulled 3 goals to win the match ... was so surprised because itshard to equalise LeipZig or win them   once they are  wining (though i didn'twatch their match but i was still surprised ), I think that's the only match with the highest number of goals count for today, followed by Benfica... so can someone explain why Athletico couldn't come up with at least a single goal   today(it's somehow weird with the kind of performance they pulled in laliga).
Realmadrid on the other hand had another hard time with even finding an equaliser for their game today, I thought the sub will make a great difference and maybe give them the opportunity to get two goals in the second half but I think I was wrong somehow,Lile resisted all their pressure.

Exciting game for Leipzing this evening.
They were winning by 2-1 after a red card for an unfortunated hand touch outside the box from the opponent goalkeeper
But they ended losing with 1 man superiority after they conceded 2 goals.

Juventus was aslo missing a probable penalty and got stopped for no reason solo in front the opponent goalkeeper.

They deserved the win, no doubt.

No one expert Real Madrid to lost that game including me, but what we are still going to consider is that the goal was a penalty, if not I don’t think Lille will be able to have a win but we saw a different result although I will say no more about this game, because I was sad about the results and I don’t want to talk about it because it is not the performance that I expected with Real Madrid.

Furthermore talking about Bayern Munich they are just not lucky in today’s game that is why they were not able to have a goal against Aston villa. If not they really played wel,  although it do happen like day in some occasions is it something they should talk as a game that they were unlucky.

I didn't see that coming from Bayern Munich nor Atletico Madrid and certainly not from Real Madrid. I find that humiliating for them! They were far better in the previous year and the last version of Champions League than this one. I started to get afraid they might lose the title this season!
For PSG, the defeat was expected since gunners are better.

Strange results today and I smell there is crying across board among gamblers. Aston Villa beating Bayern Munic and Lille beating Real Madrid were the worst thing that happened to gamblers tonight because no one say that coming. Even Benfica trashing Athletico Madrid four zero is another shocker that no one could imagine. I never knew that Angel Di Maria is still in form as he played exceptionally well tonight. Now it has become very difficult predicting these European championships because there is no small team anymore as all the teams are doing their best to secure their spot.

Benfica beat A.Madrid 4-0. I think it was a surprising score for everyone.

One of the surprise scores of the night was Lille - Real Madrid.
Lille beat Real Madrid 1-0 at home.
Arda Güler missed a goal in the last minutes.

The main reason I thought Bayern will have a hard time playing Villa, is that Villa is a top 5 premier league team, and I don't think many people understand how much stronger the premier league is than other European leagues.

But, to be perfectly honest, despite AV winning 1-0 and my prediction turning out to be correct, I think I was wrong to think it would be an even game. I haven't watched it yet, but looking only at the stats, Bayern clearly was a dominating team, with possession of 70% and shots/shots on target of 17/7 compared to Villa's 5/2. So looks like AV's win was mostly due to luck.

One of the strong factors when betting is not to believe the odds presented by the bookies. Today's match of course ended with our guess because several strong teams lost and that was extraordinary. Taking the risk to bet on Aston Villa seems doubtful but I did it with a small bet but it was very satisfying because the final result Aston Villa came out as the winner.

On the other hand, I was also surprised by the defeat experienced by Real Madrid because they are a fairly strong team but when faced with Lille they were unable to do anything because the final result Lille came out as the winner. I think Real Madrid underestimated their opponents so it doesn't make sense if they fail in this match but that's the reality Lille performed better for this match by getting 3 points.

Seriously there was a crazy upset today. I think we should be expecting people coming to complain about how they lost their bets in few hours, this two games are were games which would be wager on by most people even if the odds were little. Last night we were witnessing favourites wining with many bets won and today we witnessed another classics champions league again.

Bayern Munich had me surprised even though Aston Villa are also looking strong, I didn’t expect them to lose. Jhon Duran should simply be Crowned the King of substitute because he is just so good coming from the bench. As for Real Madrid I themselves Ancelloti is getting a hard time to pick players from this star studded side and it’s costing them points seriously

If you look at the results of the matches in the Champions League today, who could have predicted it, it is really strange. Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich lost. Atletico Madrid lost 4-0 to Benfica. Kerem Aktürkoğlu has been scoring in almost every match since he transferred to Benfica, his Benfica days are very productive and it seems like he will continue this productivity.

Are they still the mighty Bayern Munich like we used to know them? I only see these guys as one of the best and I can't see them as mighty because they haven't been called champions for a long time, I mean when it comes to the champions league. Aston Villa never played like a team that can match them and they didn't try to copy the Bayern style of play, they (Aston Villa) went into this game and play what they know and how they used to play when you watch them in the EPL and it turned out positive for them. That's how to play Bayern Munich, give them what they give, if they attack you attack when you have the chance to and make sure the man to man marking is strong and if you succeed in that then you're close in getting something in that encounter.
I believe this is Kompany's first defeat this season and with time another shocker will happen in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich are yet to lose a game and if that happens I don't see any team feeling scared of going head to head against them. In tonight's game they couldn't get the ball in the back of the net and I wonder why the wonder kid was on the bench, talking about Musiala. He (Musiala) is the attacking force of the team and he's suppose to start the game and maybe bring him off when the game is in favor of the Bayern side but Kompany choose to gamble with the game and I think Kompany thought the game was going to be an easy one not until they conceded the goal scored by Duran, wrong decision by Kompany.

The champions league matches today just went against how bookies and some football analysts predicted the outcome, just imagine Atletico Madrid lost 4:0 to Benfica, Real Madrid lost 1:0 to Lille, Bayern Munich lost to Aston Villa and Monaco almost lost to Dinamo Zagreb if not for the late penalty they got and levelled the score 2:2. So for the champions league games today, the only big teams that managed to win their matches are: Atalanta, Liverpool and Juventus.

The match that marveled me most today was Aston Villa against Bayern munich because Aston Villa was able to repeat same score they got against Bayern munich in 1981/1982 finals when the champions league was formerly called the European cup. Bravo to Unai Emery as his boys have now gotten 2 straight wins from their first 2 matches in the champions league group stages.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid defeats were major surprises, I think Atletico Madrid 4-0 defeat to Benfica was no less surprising. Juventus managed to make a comeback after being behind, as did AS Monaco who managed to avoid defeat after getting a penalty at the end of the match. Liverpool and Club Brugge were the teams that managed to win comfortably today, I agree that this new format is quite difficult to predict. Dortmund, Brest, Benfica, Leverkusen, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Juventus are the 7 teams that managed to win two consecutive matches. It seems that the next match will be even more difficult to predict.

It was also hard to predict that Atletico would concede 4 goals (and score zero), right? Against any opponent, and especially against Benfica. Yesterday I made a multi-bet on Arsenal and Bayer to lose... it's a pity that I didn't think of making an even more daring bet today on Bayern and Real to lose, the total odds were probably close to 80  
But overall, yes, this is all a new format. Real did not play seriously for about 80 minutes today, there are still many such circus games ahead. Apparently, in the group stage, it is worth betting (if it is worth betting at all) only on the outsiders.
