Apart from the Inter Milan visit to Manchester City on Wednesday, I don't think there's another fixture in the UEFA Champions League this this midweek that's more interesting than AC Milan vs Liverpool game. Both clubs are traditional when it comes to the European Cup as they have won the competition 13 times between them with the Italian Serie A club winning one more than their English counterparts. Milan game against Liverpool will be played on Tuesday while City host Inter on Wednesday so it's absolutely possible to watch the two important games and I'll be definitely doing that.

Agreed, the Champions League always throws up some surprises which is why it's so exciting. People might have thought City would walk over Inter but European football, especially at UCL levels, is often unpredictable. Even if Inter may be considered the weaker side at the moment they still have a great history to fight with. Just as in games such as Milan versus Liverpool where the result could go either way.

In the UCL, even some of the supposedly weaker teams on paper can string together quite impressive performances. Ultimately, every match can be exciting and surprising in its own right.

This is what makes the Champions League so special. It does not matter if one team is far much better than the other, once on that pitch, anything can happen. Most of these underdogs come into the game blazing and might just shock the favorites. Top sides have also been dumped out at an unlikely stage because of a small error or one important moment.

For me both are interesting matches, the difference is because this will be the meeting of the two teams that were in the final in the previous 2 seasons, exactly as you said.
