I was a little surprised by Pep Guardiola, who yesterday won the title in the EPL, saying he was bored and wanted to look for a new challenge, so there were rumors that he would leave Manchester City and could be followed by Haaland, who would indeed take part in the news, of course. If that happens, there is a possibility, in my opinion, that Manchester City will experience difficulties which might affect their performance. I hope Manchester City can win the Champions title next season, even though it seems difficult because the competition in the Champions League is tough competition, but if Manchester City is confident, maybe they can win the Champions League title next season.
I don't think Pep Guardiola is willing to leave Manchester City for now. What he may have said in the media seems to be for some personal reasons. Perhaps he wanted the hype and the fame, bragging about the EPL title he had won since he came to Manchester City and that there is no other team in the EPL that matches his strength. Such things are rumors that he is willing to leave, and I know he is a little scared because he knows Arsenal is rising so fast which will be the next one that will take the league from his hands. He doesn't want to be the Manchester City when Arsenal wins the league, he is too scared to see his downfall. Let him remain if he feels he is the boss. I am certain that the next season won't be taken lightly.

Is this based on your personal assumptions, because we all know that Pep Guardiola has given his energy and thoughts to the team he manages, namely Manchester City. it is not easy for any coach to consistently lead the team he manages, even if the team he manages has many classy players. Under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, City deserves to win various trophies, especially the Domestic League. the style and play of the Manchester City squad often presents beautiful modern football, the players and system implemented by the coach work very well. that's why, so far City have always been one of the strong challengers wherever they take part in the competition. whether it's in the Premier League or in the Champions League.

Talking about Pep Guardiola, so far I haven't heard any specific news about Pep's contract extension with City. however, as we also know, he only has one season left until 2025, so it would be very natural if there were reports that Pep would leave after his contract ends. whether it's from his statement, or he really wants to coach other clubs and teams, especially outside the Premier League. what is certain is that, from my point of view, Pep Guardiola has left a legacy for TheCitiZen.
Talking about Arsenal, one of my favorite teams. Arteta has been giving competition to Pep Guardiola for two seasons, but what is unique is that Arteta has worked with Pep Guardiola at City. that's why Arteta gained a lot of knowledge regarding coaching with Pep Guardiola.
Well, in the season that will be held later, City will still be one of the strong challengers in the Domestic League as well as for the UCL. meanwhile for Arsenal, I don't want to assume and speculate too much before they succeed in bringing in several new arrivals, especially pure strikers.

I see that so far only Manchester City can compete and have the same level as Real Madrid in the UCL. Even though Real Madrid managed to win the UCL this season and City failed in the quarterfinals, in my personal opinion Real Madrid's most difficult match in the UCL this season was against City. I still haven't seen another team that is at the same level as Real Madrid.

I hope City still has the same level as Real Madrid. In fact, hopefully there are other teams that can become competitors at the same level in the UCL. Because if Pep decides to leave City and Haaland also leaves the club, it's like Madrid will really dominate the UCL.

Even if they wanted to replace Simeone, can they actually do it? We must remember that Simeone has been for the most part liked by his players, so if those at the top of Atletico Madrid fire him with no justification at all, then the players will get mad about it, they may underperform  to get the new coach fired or even ask for their release, so this is not an easy choice to make as I am sure that before any improvement could be seen, a massive drop on the performance of the team will be observed.

Simeone is a good coach and has done a lot for Atletico Madrid because he has always succeeded in taking the club to the champions league even though he hasn't been able to win the champions league for the team even after making it to the final stages twice against Real Madrid but they lost the both finals. Simeone has been coaching Atletico Madrid since 2011 and has won 2 la Liga trophy for Atletico Madrid, the first was in 2013/2014 season and the second was in 2020/2021 season. He's good with the players but for me the team really needs to try the service of another new coach for the club if they can stand the chance to win more la Liga titles and since Diego Simeone has undergone a surgery on his knee requires him to have some rest and time for himself so I don't think Atletico Madrid will experience a decline in performance if they find another coach because the team is very competitive in the la Liga and Simeone has also taken the team to a level that they can still perform better without him.

For some reason, it seems like the opponent always knows very well what to expect from Atlético Madrid. But to me, that’s very easy to understand. Because the coach Simione has been with Atlético Madrid for a very long time. The tactics however did not change that much. Trying the same thing again and again is probably not going to work when you are competing at the biggest level of competition.

Remember, Simione has seen both prime Real Madrid and Barcelona in recent times. The fact that he was able to win La Liga title in that period was actually surprising. But suddenly it becomes not so surprising when you see the level of players that they had. At that time La Liga was really known for being a competitive league. Just like the English Premier League is right now. Now it is not so much like that. And Atlético Madrid is also unable to attract that level of players anymore.

There are indeed some strong teams that will probably surprise all of us next season, but when Madrid has reached the final of course 100% I am very confident that Madrid will be able to get the trophy from whoever the opponent is in the final, this season the Madrid squad contains many talented young players who are supported by the experience of Kross and Modric so indeed their squad is quite perfect,   But with the arrival of Mbappe next season, of course, it will make Madrid a club that may be unbeaten in La Liga and the Champions League later.
Many people's expectations may be like that, but I don't think that Real Madrid will be unbeatable in these two competitions next season, because the arrival of Mbappe into the Real Madrid squad is indeed good for adding to Real Madrid's own strength on the front lines. However, Mbappe himself must also be able to adapt himself to the Real Madrid players and must not be selfish when he is there next season. I also see Real Madrid as a candidate team to win in the two big competitions, but in terms of being undefeated, I think that is a bit difficult for Real Madrid to achieve.
Real Madrid is not only lucky. They're smart. They build from within. They capture these rising stars like Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr., and even Mbappe. These guys are the future.

Its not just about today. Its about tomorrow. Construction of a winning tradition is the goal. You gotta respect that. Now, sure, anything can happen. Injuries, bad calls, you name it. But I know winners when I see them. And Madrid Real? They are mentally strong winners. Not just this year will they rule. Years to come, they will rule.

You are correct it is not about luck, Real Madrid is incredibly shrewd, which is why many clubs suffer before they get the opportunity to overcome them. In my opinion, the only club that will stop Madrid next season is Manchester City, but I haven't seen any players that Guadiola has added to the team, so I feel Madrid will still have a chance to win the Champions League if they meet. I'm only waiting for the Euros to end and the new season to begin to see how Madrid will perform in the league competition with Mbappe, because with the new striker Madrid now has the strength and belief to win the laliga title and even the Champions League probably if they so well in it.

Oh the thread is up.
Waiting impatiently to see how it will be the new Champions League.

Reading the new format I already hate it, the only good news is that we can see more games but it will be a shock to everyone who didn't follow the change of rules they did.
A new format of Champions League will bring more matches that are opportunities for UEFA to get more money and strongest clubs will have more income. There will be chance for small clubs to join Champions League but I don't see potential to reduce wealth gap between biggest clubs and small clubs. This new format will increase gaps in wealth among rich and poor clubs, not make it better.

After some seasons with this new format, we will recognize this impact with real data, not only prediction like now.
Several clubs and players have complained about the busy schedule with this new format so that each team will certainly not be able to perform optimally. They must often rotate their players if they want to get the best results from all the competitions they play. UEFA seems to only care about personal matters and does not give freedom to the players and in my opinion this is more like exploitation which is quite regrettable.

Other advantages, such as the small teams you mentioned, will certainly increase competition in the Champions League, but of course it won't change who will advance to the higher rounds. Maybe small teams are very happy to be in a competition as big as the Champions League and when that time comes they have to make good use of it because it can be something they can be proud of.

I thought that the implementation of the new format should be done through voting, but UEFA never cared about that. To be honest, the participation of small teams is not changing the fact that only big clubs can advance to the next round; however, it adds more income to those small teams, but their participation will not change the situation a lot.

Still, players are facing disadvantages from the implementation of the new format. There should be democracy in UEFA. The big team must have carefully prepared their secondary team in order to ensure their key players won't be injured.

I hate to say this, but I don't like this new format. Though it gave more opportunities to the new players, it may be a boring competition.

Did Messi badly performed or was he the problem they never won as much title. Personally, Messi performance was outstanding and him alone can't give them those titles, you don't specifically point out one player out of the team as to why they failed to win trophies. Messi was as of much threat to opponents compared to anyone in the team, he did the best he could but seems the team as a whole were unable make better records as expected
A playmaker like Messi is indeed extraordinary in terms of his contribution to the team, but don't forget that he also needs help from other players because he will not be able to bring a big team to the peak of success alone. So the failure experienced by the team that once housed him was actually not Messi's fault but rather a collective fault for not being able to contribute more consistently to the team in each season. And it needs to be realized that in a team it is not appropriate to blame just one person because the team is formed from many parties and there are many players in it.

The new format will increase the match schedule and of course the big teams are very uncomfortable with such a situation. However, we haven't seen what the process will look like, but the initial match doesn't look like it will be an exciting match because the requirements for teams to qualify for the knockout phase consist of the top eight teams from each group. The new Champions League format seems to give small teams the opportunity to face big teams. So until now there have been no complaints from participating clubs regarding the new format, so let's enjoy it for the next season, hopefully the Champions League will become more popular.
If many players suffer injuries as a result of the reform of the new Champions League format, UEFA will receive sharp criticism from club managers and also from national team managers. In the managers view, the new format makes them worried about the players performance, the fatigue factor will make the players prone to injury. For UEFA the more matches, the more profits, that's how it works. Small clubs, and second tier players at each club, may feel happy with the number of matches, because they have a greater opportunity to get playing minutes. However, to maintain the interests of a much larger club, managers will often have headaches because of the workload. In my opinion, if the new format reaps a lot of criticism, UEFA will change the rules again in the future.

I don’t think that small clubs will benefit, rather the opposite. For example, before, a small club like Victoria could be lucky in the qualifying rounds and get into a group with Bayern, Inter and Barcelona - 6 guaranteed games at the top level with legendary teams. Now a small club finds itself in a huge group where it will play a maximum of a couple of games with top clubs and the rest of the games will not differ from the qualifying games (in the old format). Plus, the value of the group stage drops to junk.
The Champions League next season will officially use a new format in their competition and requires small teams to be able to have a good squad depth to be able to compete in the Champions League next season, usually we will see 6 matches will be played in one group so it is still possible for small club clubs to compete with a busy schedule so far,  However, with a new format that reportedly will have 4 pots each of which will be filled by eight teams, later each team will compete eight matches in the league phase and will face eight different teams, the four matches will be home matches, and the remaining four will be away.

With the new champions league format, of course, it is possible for large teams to meet each other faster than the old format, but in my opinion the new format may only make it difficult for small teams to compete in the Champions League next season, surprise teams that qualify and play in the Champions League next season are of course required to be able to add depth to their squad next season, so that it may make them able to compete tight in the Champions League next season.

Even though it is unlikely that Real Madrid will experience a decline in performance, there are still other teams that have the same strong performance that might be able to match Real Madrid. To be honest, I hope there is another team that is able to match Real Madrid next season, such as perhaps Manchester City which is indeed can be said to be able to match Real Madrid's performance. I can't imagine if Manchester City loses Haalan and other star players, as well as their coach, who if they change will either make Manchester City still have a strong performance or experience a decline.

Although we know that Manchester City has a strong squad, without Haaland and other key players, including their coach, I don’t think they can do anything, although all this happened as a result of Guardiola saying that he is seeking a new challenge, which sparks rumours from every angle. and this will definitely affect the dynamics of Manchester City, but still, considering their squad, I can say that they might still keep the strong performance as we know, but to be honest, I don’t think there will be any other team that will be able to be stronger than Real Madrid. The best season is some how very hard to agree on, but we will see what will happen. Anything can happen in football.

Leo Messi was one of the greatest signing for Paris Saint-Germain but they've failed and missed out on golden opportunities,  we just have to see the present scene of the system. PSG had everything to win major titles but they failed woefully because the management failed also, bringing them together to achieve a common goal straight out seems challenging. Real Madrid is executive the best team in the world of football and we unfortunately the principles they've been operating on. They will lift more elite titles infront.
Why do you consider Messi the best acquisition for PSG? Messi in PSG was remembered by the fact that he could not adapt to the team for a very long time, scored not many goals and received a huge salary. PSG is trying different tactics, they thought that they could collect all the best players in the same team and this would allow them to win, it is now clear that they abandoned this idea, and Enrique showed them that without all super players he almost reached the final, and if only a little more luck could have played in the finale, because PSG looked better than Dortmund.

We must understand that no matter the performance of a player he will never be able to perform well if he joined a certain club or leagues and from his performance during his time on PSG shows that he was not meant to be there because the time he spent on PSG he wasn't able to showcase his performance as he does on the previous clubs he has played, though wouldn't blame him for the failure of PSG then because even if he was performing the way he normally do there is no way only him would have actually pulled PSG out from there struggling then, so it was actually good for him to have left the club because it would have weaken him alot, so wouldn't say that Mesi was the best acquisition for PSG because his performance was not that good but in other words I consider Mbappe to be the best acquisition for PSG because he gave the team what they want.

Another problem arose when Paris Saint Germain had 3 star players on the front line, and instead of being able to improve the team's performance they were busy with their own problems. In my opinion, this also happened because perhaps their coach at that time was unable to build good relationships between the players, which resulted in a conflict that could be said to have been prolonged until finally the 3 players actually left Paris Saint Germain.
IMO, at that time PSG seemed to have an instant desire and it happened very briefly when they brought in star players in succession but didn't pay attention to the coaches they brought in at that time and on the one hand, for me the composition of PSG players was very irregular so even though they had players star but the performance is still the same as having only 1 star player.
The conflict is actually just a matter of player composition as I said before and it's not perfect, using star players but not being able to rotate players well, which creates problems that the players may not reveal.

Quote
Another fact, as you said, is that they also couldn't do much in the Champions League. They are the same as clubs that we have often seen before, where they cannot compete closely, especially when they face clubs that have the same strength as them. In the end they had to taste failure even though they had a star-studded squad in the composition of players.
Paris Saint Grmain must be able to get rid of that habit, because in my opinion they are also capable of competing even without star players, as long as their squad is even and they can work as a team well.
Well, from this discussion we know that competing for the UCL title must have high quality performance and quality performance cannot be built instantly, whereas the PSG president wants it instantly by bringing in star players but the coach is not very good at managing the players well.
So that these star players will continue to leave PSG who cannot accept the long process of being able to create high quality performance and now PSG is just realizing that building a strong team to compete in all existing competitions, all of this takes a very long time and requires very high consistency.

Messi, Mbappe and Neymar were all there in PSG and they could not manage the players at that time to win UCL. It will be a difficult task for them. Having all the best players is one thing and using them to achieve success is another thing. When you don't have a good coach and there are some undisciplined players, poor result will be achieved.

When Messi was in PSG, there was no unity and game bond between the players which is always making Mpabbe to disrespect Messi and only him wants to score all the goals. Mbappe was always stingy with the ball whenever he has it.

City is considered a club that is almost equal in strength to Madrid, and the two teams deserve to be placed on equal footing in the list of favorite teams to win next season. After them there are Bayern, Arsenal, Inter, Dortmund, PSG and several other teams, as usual the competition for trophies will get fiercer every season, where the new rules can also be a challenge for some contestants.

The addition of Mbappe will make Madrid front line sharper, this is a clear signal that Ancelotti fleet is very ambitious to defend the title. If they fail then Mbappe is out of luck, and reminds me of Kane at Bayern. Apart from that, Pep Guardiola looks like he will retain most of his players next season, and that indicates their strength will not be much different from last season.

On the other hand, if Madrid meets City again next season, either in the quarter finals, semifinals or final, it will be the third time in a row. The meeting between the two teams feels quite ideal, regardless of which round they will face each other in.

I am also a fan of Manchester City and what you say is true that the Champions League is difficult to dominate and if we remember again how Haaland is also favored as a reliable player who is a very great scorer and last season Manchester City also managed to win the Champion League title which can be proof that other clubs can also become strong clubs even though Real Madrid has Mbappe but that is not a guarantee.
If we remember again how Manchester City performed in the quarter-finals yesterday, there was only a very narrow difference in score, but Real Madrid could be superior by 1 score and that is also proof that Manchester City is still the strongest opponent for Real Madrid as long as Manchester still has Haaland, everything will just fine.

Until now there has been no confirmation that Pep Guardiola will replace his main players and it is possible that there will only be slight changes to several main players but not to the attack line which is already neatly arranged.
Pep Guardiola is still very enthusiastic about winning the champions league title again after having gained experience at that time, making this coach have great enthusiasm even though he has failed but will not reduce Pep Guardiola's confidence.
