The Mbappe fever, this move is  what has given the much hype for a high high chances of expectations on rela madrid repeatedly winning the champions league trophy next season. I hope a lot of us don't get disappointed because for me this move doesn't change much of a thing in the madrid squad, and here's why.

Madrid is a club that every football player wanna association himself with in their career, they have made a standard for themself with any kind of European trophy you can think of in their massive numbers, and currently there are great super stars like Vini Jnr, Rodrygo, Carvajal, Valverde, Camavingha, J. Bellingham, etc,  already in the club making waves in all competitors, so Mbappe coming in is just an inclusion of these beasts which I think he is not coming in as a messiah to the team but as a part to a whole.

It's important I remind us all that there was a time of the gallaticus  but not much of a European title was attached to the squad, and just maybe, let it not be that Mbappe is arriving at a time when there could be a little pause in the streaks of champion's league trophy wins for real madrid.
I do not think that Real would have that kind of pause this time around. Don't get me wrong, I remember that prime Ronaldo times (both Ronaldos) and there were times when they didn't do as well as they hoped. But looking at how they have been recently, and looking at how they have grown, I can say that it is not going to be all that hard for them to win it again and again. I am not saying that they "will", just saying it's quite possible.

Looking at the teams in the world right, I would say they have the biggest chance to win it compared to any other team which is why I would bet for them. It is not out yet, but when it's out, I am going to play to them on outrights to win the UCL at the start of the season, it is not guaranteed, but it's likely.

Mbappe and Real Madrid will clearly catapult them to the top of the list of candidates. This is not excessive because in fact Real Madrid was able to get the trophy before Mbappe arrived, so it really makes sense that many people assume that Mbappe will make Real Madrid even stronger next season. Real Madrid won the Champions League 3 times in a row from the 2015/16 season to the 2017/18 season and it is not an exaggeration if next season they are considered to have the opportunity to win trophies in a row with the resources they currently have.
One thing about Real Madrid I like so much is their ability to fill in those left space of their great players with direct equivalent and that's something they have been doing for so long and it has been favouring them, they had great players who left and this has never really affected them because they always find their replacement and that's one of the great feature of this Madrid team. Now mbappe has been recruited he will definitely add more value to the team and make this work out well for them.

I myself want to put Real Madrid in first place as a candidate to win the UCL next season and Man City in second place. Because Real Madrid's next season will be very scary, starting from the scary attacking trio that Real Madrid currently has means the attacking trio (Vini, Mbappe, Rodrygo) volume 2 will start soon, the scary midfield trio volume 2 is also underway between Belingham - Valverde and Camavingga. behind there is Rudiger who looks like Ramos from Real Madrid, Real Madrid just needs to look for a player like Pepe to accompany Rudiger, and look for a replacement for Dani Carvajar. If this happens, it is not impossible that Real Madrid will score a hat trick of the UCL volume 2 trophy.

The point is that next season Real Madrid will be inhabited by attackers with above average speed, Real Madrid's central midfielders are also good so they play an important role in pampering the attackers with their best passes. Real Madrid's front three are more or less similar to the BBC trio, and what kind of strategy will be decided by coach Don Carlo. In my opinion, Real Madrid must be the main target to be defeated early by other teams, because if they want to win the UCL, other teams must eliminate Real Madrid first, before Real Madrid enters the final.

Yeah it is better to mention the new format as of 2024 season also.  Smiley

  • There is no more group stage, it is going to be rather a league just as in its name.  Grin
  • There are going to be 36 teams instead of 32.
  • Every team are going to play against 8 different teams, half of them home games and the rest is away.
  • Top 8 finishers are qualifying for last 16 directly. The teams placed from 9th to 24th are playing a two-legged playoffs to earn their way through last 16. The remaining teams in the league are eliminated.
  • There is no more dropping to the Europa League as of now.

Source: UEFA Official Website

The new format looks interesting but it is likely to be fun for now I think. But will this matter for Real Madrid after signing Mbappe? I don't think so.  Cheesy

Mbappe will perform even more strongly after joining Real Madrid, as a striker entering the team will surely strengthen the attacking department and the ones they can succeed in attacking. For a long time, the Real Madrid team performed very well in these seasons. However, if there is a competition, only Manchester City and Real Madrid will have a great competition between these two teams. The threat of unique team is very less as they have failed to perform well in these seasons despite having good performance and strong squad.

The Champions League season is over and Real Madrid is celebrating the title after finishing the season. Real Madrid became the champions this season and secured their 15th title by becoming champions while Dortmund finished as runners-up this season. A new season will start in a few days and based on how each team is buying new players and building their squads, it can be said which team is the favorite for next season's Champions League tournament. However, Real Madrid and Manchester City will always be among the favorite teams in the Champions League tournament.
I know that those two clubs are the favorite next season but it doesn't mean that they will be the winner next season. I cannot give my prediction now because the league have not started, and I have not seen the performance of the players in various clubs. It is until when next season starts that I can give a good speculation on this.

I don't want to start using this season to judge next season, because we saw a lot of surprises from small clubs this season and next season might be the same. There might be some unforeseen challe he's might might be a hinderanceto these big clubs next season, but let's watch and see what happens during the window transfer and the beginning of next season.

Here are the winning chance of each team to become a champion in the next season:

60% for Real Madrid
39% for Manchester City
1% for Arsenal, Inter, Milan, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, Leverkusen etc. Tongue

Real Madrid without Mbappe can still become a champion in this season, so it's no doubt majority of people will believe in Real Madrid.
With the new format available, the 2024/2025 season will be even more challenging. Those of us who are fans of the European Champions League certainly understand the new format regarding what is new and what is still the same as the previous format.

If in the 2023/24 season Real Madrid is the winner, in the 2024/25 season it is not certain that Real Madrid will have a large percentage as a team that has the opportunity to win the title.
Apart from Real Madrid and Manchester City, 34 other teams are ready to do their best. Of course not all, but several teams from well-known leagues will be the teams that will thwart the dominance of Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Mbappe's effect will not necessarily ensure that Madrid has a great chance even this season of winning its 15th title without Mbappe.

I was also considering opening a new thread for each of the new seasons but don't you think it is too early to open a thread about the champions league?

Anyway the upcoming champions league season of 2024/2025 will be a pretty good season with lots of expectations from each of the qualified teams. Real Madrid have become so formidable that we all can easily predict them but let's not forget that there are still other good teams that can still compete with Real Madrid even though they got more stronger squad now that Kylian Mbappe will be featuring for Real Madrid. It will be a much anticipated champions league season but until the season begins we can't really predict the strength of each teams now.

it has almost gotten to the stage in the champions league where other teams would have to compete to get to the finals only to be kicked out by real Madrid. Without mbape in the squared we already had one of the strongest attack ever comprising of vini jnr, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo and now that we have mbape coming in to strengthen the position Bellingham was playing, it's going to be more deficult for another team to get the spot from real Madrid.

As for the percentage you allotted for the winning chance of each of these teams, I think you're underrating the threat man City would bring into there play in the next season. In terms of individual brilliance they are almost of similar class with real Madrid and have a higher chance of doing well come next season considering the fact that Kross is off the team and the midfield wouldn't be as strong as it was in the just concluded season. It's certainly going to be a remarkable journey and I'm hoping Leverkusen would bring a good fight and play there way into the top spot even though they are the underdog in this championship race.
When your club best player for about 3-5 season leaves the club it is always very difficult to be able to replace him because he’s an all round exceptional player and there are no much players like that. This is the case of PSG and replacing Kylian who’s helped to win them the title for the past 3 years. His presence alone gets other opposition team scared, talk more of his performance when the game begins.

Some names have been mentioned and I think they are mot bad especially the youngsters from Serie A. The players will just need to quickly blend to the French style of football and Enrique’s pattern and step by step try to improve themselves rather than letting the pressure of being like Kylian be on them. The coach will have more of the work to do because most of the time he must try to help the new player mental strength to avoid him being weighed down by the thought of replacing Kylian.

Another thing is he ought to try and make sure the player blends fast so as to be able to get the best performance from the player. The club will need to give him benefit of doubt and let him sign who he feels will be essential and be able to help the club out of the situation and I trust him to be ae to get the best off this team. If he can successfully come out of this stage then they can sure be ready to challenge for the UCL in subsequent season.

Let not be too quick to speculate with high hopes because football have a way of surprising everybody and Real Madrid chance of winning the championship in the season may be affected by a number of factors that we can clearly see right now, but then Manchester city will definitely not allow that to happen so easy like that and we shouldn't underate the possibility of Asernal lifting the trophy.

I am sure that Real Madrid will fine it difficult to win championship not because Mbappe is not in Real Madrid but due to the low motivation in the current season even though their won the league, although their still have some good players that will want to do everything possible to repeat the record, but then just like how their defeated Manchester city who were the previous title holder in the season same faith will definitely play against Real Madrid in the season.

Many teams will be fighting for the title next season - don't forget, Liverpool will also be on the list of teams that will give their best in this competition. I know and also admit that - Klopp is a great coach who will no longer work for Liverpool next season, but considering that Liverpool still has players of the best quality then I think everything can still be hoped for.

Really - I don't expect we'll only be talking about one team until the end of the season. Of course Real Madrid are the most phenomenal team in Champion League history - but that doesn't have to close all the room for other teams who also want to win the title. Teams from the Premier League could be the most dominant next season in the Champion League - I hope so when they send Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa to the Champions League group stage.

Your prediction was not going stright with the odds.

To be honest, it seemed absurd to see why Arsenal is still regarded as the one top candidate to win the UCL while it was always doing bottle job at the domestic league, beside of Manchester City and Real Madrid. Better still for Arsenal, attempt to win the EPL before the UCL caused by it's likely arsenal will become a clown club again next season.

Madrid and City should easily make it to the quarterfinals considering these clubs are still at their peak performances. Still, Manchester City is the most difficult opponent for Real Madrid this season considering i have not seen worthy opponent for madrid other than city next season. Having mbappe indicates how serious Real Madrid is about being ready to win its 16th championship the upcoming season as per what perez hinted on his last interview.

We have more places available for the next seasons. Anticipate a harder competition than in the previous season considering more participants and it's gonna be even more competitive than last season.

Arsenal are not among the favorites at all, is 10% a lot? The fact that they cannot win anything does not negate the fact that they are progressing from year to year and if you take away the cheating City, then we can say that Arsenal dominated the Premier League.
As for the fact that there are few serious rivals for Real, yes, this is true, but this is only on paper, in fact we have seen that in order to beat even Leipzig you need to strain. In the playoffs, the cost of each game is very high.

-snip-
After losing Ronaldo and Benzema, of course, Madrid lost a reliable central striker, although now they have Bellingham and Vinicius as the top scorers, but we know that they are not pure strikers so far, so in the absence of a pure striker, Ancelotti has to improvise with wingers and attacking midfielders to be able to score goals and of course what Ancelotti is doing at this time is quite successful In overcoming every opponent they have in the league and Champions League, Mbappe arrival to the squad has certainly filled the void left by Benzema and Ancelotti, so indeed next season we will see a Madrid squad that is quite dangerous, especially their attacking line.

This season Real Madrid managed to get their 15th Champions League trophy and it shows us that there is no better team than Madrid when they reach the Champions League final, next season Champions League will use a new format in their game system but I think that of course it will not be difficult for Madrid to be able to be a title contender again.
Actually, this season I really want to see Madrid beaten by Dortmund in the final because it will be a surprise for us, but in fact Madrid is still able to beat Dortmund in the final.
Ancelotti has proven to us that Real Madrid can win prestigious titles even without center forwards as productive as Ronaldo and Benzema. Joselu can certainly help support the attack power as an experienced center forward, but Ancelotti has a good strategic approach even without a center forward.

Mbappe's arrival as a center forward certainly provides Ancelotti with better options in managing his playing strategy. Kylian Mbappe is a productive center forward who can be relied on, so of course a change in strategy can be expected next season. As a result, it may have an impact on Jude Bellingham's goal productivity, his role will be exactly the same as that of Toni Kroos or Modric next season.

Real Madrid’s weakest point this season was that they did not have a striker. However, they have now signed an agreement with French football player Kylian Mbappe. With this move, Real Madrid becomes the biggest contender for the Champions League trophy next season. We can once again refer to them as "los galacticos."

First of all, thank you for opening a new thread for the Champions League competition.

Well, several communities have predicted which candidates will win this competition. However, the fact is that the League hasn't started yet, and each team hasn't even played their pre-season matches. which means, we don't yet have a picture of the performance of the favorite clubs in the UCL. Apart from that, I always adhere to the principle as long as the competition has not started and the teams that are candidates have not shown their performance. I don't dare speculate too far, even though several teams have very competitive squads. for example, as was discussed by several members, if it is not Real Madrid it means Manchester City. Unfortunately, we are speaking based on assumptions because we don't yet know how each team fares in various competitions, including its domestic league. If the two teams, namely Real Madrid and Manchester City, were hit by a storm of injuries in the middle of the season, it could derail their progress in winning trophies in both the Champions League and domestic competitions.

Yeah, the competition isn't up and running yet anyway. what we might predict, or speculate, may not necessarily go smoothly. In fact, ups and downs can happen to even strong teams. although most of us agree, so do I. if Real Madrid theoretically has a very competitive team depth on all fronts. Likewise with one of the Premier League teams, Manchester City and Pep Guardiola knows very well that they have strong competitors in the Champions League. However, no one can guarantee that these two teams will enter the final. So, for now I'm just following each development first.

We know that the league hasn't started, we are just trying to paint a mental picture of what's likely to be seen in no distance time from now. Before you know it the new season will be upon us. We all as football lovers can equally engage in meaningful discussion of what we think could be the occourance in the league if the tournament was to start immediately. We are not just talking base on assumption alone, we are also looking at recent data available to us and looking at it to guide our argument. If you look at the last few seasons Manchester City and real Madrid has been the top performers in the Champions league. They have both gotten to the semi finals on different seasons let's say from 5 seasons ago till now, so this is what we are looking at and projecting a potential repetition of something similar if not the same. Both city and Madrid are going to maintain their existing squad if possible add more depth, so there is every possibility that city and Madrid can still meet next season.

I can also say Real Madrid have a better chance of winning the Champions League but this is just a speculation. It is very possible that Real Madrid might not win the Champions League because we need to wait to see some matches played before the speculation can be more accurate. I am surprised that Manchester City is given a lower odd to Real Madrid. The odd will although be constantly changing.

I hope we don't forget that right now, Real Madrid might have the best players in the world but they aren't as completednas we think. Rodrigo, Vinicious and Mbape are wingers and the focus of the club was to get a striker but they where able to manage that this season. Unless they convert Mbape to striker and make him adapt to such position like they did to Benzema, someone has to step down whenever they want to start match.

There are also some speculations about the club turning to what has happened in PSG. Remember when PSG signed Messi and added him to Mbape and Neymar, they were the perfect combination any team would want to have but in the end, nothing to show the club for such combo, no Champions League and I pray these same faith doesn't happen to Babe if Real Madrid doesn't win Champions League later, they are going to ridicule him for leaving PSG.

we can start the speculations and what will be our favorite teams for next season
What do you think about it?
As a Real Madrid fan, I will obviously hope that Real Madrid wins the title, but still accept the fact that another team wins it.
Manchester City, Inter, PSG, Leverkusen, Real Madrid are the title winners in their respective leagues for the 2023-2024 season, so in my opinion they will be in the first caste to win the title compared to the others.

I haven't yet determined which teams are suited to being in the second tier next season, but there are plenty of teams who deserve to be there instead of ignoring them. Barcelona, Arsenal, Bayern Munchen, Dortmund, Milan, Juventus, Liverpool are good teams to hope for, but I would definitely settle for a first tier team that will win the title next season.
