Why do you say that and isn't it the coach who sets the strategy before playing and isn't the coach who replaces players who are not playing optimally in that match. The coach shows the direction of the game and because the coach is the one who makes the club more successful although it is not ignored that the coaching staff and players also have their respective roles. If a player makes a mistake then it is appropriate for the coach to take action to replace the player and I think the coach is important because his presence creates the strategy or substitution of players needed.
The name of a team must indeed include more parties in it such as coaches, assistant coaches, players and also other parties in the team because football is not an individual sport but a team sport so that each has its own duties in the team even though when the match is in progress the coach has more authority in terms of removing players and putting in players if there are those who play half-heartedly in the match. And I think what you said is also very clear that the coach is the person who directs the players and who continues to give signals to all players in order to get good results after the match is over.But even so, at least there are coaches who blame players quite often when they get defeated. But, if based on the theory you conveyed, then the coach should be able to admit his mistakes when the team loses in a particular match. Perhaps, in those cases the coach has high prestige or perhaps a bad attitude, so the coach is unable to admit his mistakes.
But at least, for bigger teams, sometimes the coach is also able to admit his mistakes or doubts in making choices about implementing strategies or about making substitutions. But the point is,if the coach really has a big responsibility, then the coach should be brave and willing to admit his mistakes when team loses, and not blame the players for the defeat at that moment.
