A coach staying very long in a team is good  but there ought to be a limit that will based on the achievements of the coach and the progress they gave made as well. To me a good coach should be able to prove himself within a period of five years. Diego Semeone is a good coach no doubt, but the results he has achieved in Atletico Madrid, in my opinion, is less than expectations and the name of Atletico Madrid. I remember he has lost Champions league final about twice which is 2014 and 2016. This to me is not a good one and if I were to be the management of the club, I would have tried another coach.

I agree with your opinion that Atlético Madrid has no such a chance to win the UEFA Champions league title in the near future Atlético Madrid no longer has the players they used to have, that is, the players who had the competence to win the Uefa Champions League. Because of this, these people no longer have the same passion that they used to have, and this is why people do not include Atlatico Madrid in the list of those who are capable of winning the UEFA Champions League. Last season Dortmund was in poor form they couldn't finish in the top4 in their league but they managed to get to the final of the champions league despite struggling in the league, they had the opportunity of winning the champions league if they had converted their chances to scoring goals so I think Diego Simeone still has what it takes to take to his team to lifting the champions league trophy sooner than we can imagine even without having to change his playing tactics.

I'm not so skeptical about Atlético's chances, as we see with a successful draw even Dortmund can reach the final. But Diego Simeone is also not a bad coach in his career compared to many other coaches. I think he's a standard coach. But Atletico Madrid must have big dreams of winning the UEFA Champions League. Diego Simeone has been managing Athletico Madrid for nearly 700 or so games if I am not wrong, which is quite a lot and something we do not see that often anymore, because most teams just change their managers like they are changing a sock so we do not get to see this many teams with the same manager all that often.

In the end, I believe that we are going to end up with something different eventually, because Diego Simeone can't keep on managing Athletico Madrid for another 10 seasons, eventually something will change. Real Madrid remain the most favourable club on the champions League because every season always turn out good for them because following the previous champions Leagues you will see that even if real Madrid did not win but they always go very far, that's the reason I always see them as a big threat to any other clubs on the champions League, and also they will be more stronger on this season champions if Mbappe joined them because considering the fact that Mbappe was the major player that pushed PSG to achieved the trophies they did during his stay on PSG you would agree with me that there would be a game changer for real Madrid on this champions league season because having Mbappe and Vinicus junior on the same club is already certain of great achievement.

Diego Simeone currently as the longest serving manager in this competition because he have been in charge of Atletico Madrid since 2011 and in Champion League with Simeone Atletico Madrid can able to advances to the final matches 3 times but unfortunately Atletico Madrid was unable to gets the trophies because they were lost from those matches and last season Atletico Madrid can able to advances to the quarterfinal stages but at that time they were lost from Dortmund with final aggregate 5-4 and about Atletico Madrid chances for next season i think it's hard to predicted because next season hasn't starting yet but i think they have equal chances with other participant teams

Madrid has a great opportunity to defend the Champions League trophy next season, Ancelotti fleet has the complete attributes to make it happen, even Los Blancos has the potential to create an unbeaten record throughout the season. Not only in the Champions League but also in La Liga and in other competitions. Zidane managed to lead Madrid to win the trophy three times in a row, Ancelotti has the opportunity to repeat this in the next two seasons.

The problem for Atletico Madrid is that they are competing with two strong teams who are much more dominant every season Real Madrid and Barcelona in LaLiga meanwhile, in the Champions League, Atletico Madrid competes with more big clubs. Maybe if they had a higher budget in the transfer market there would be a chance to perform better in the champions league.
What Atletico Madrid has done by retaining Diego Simeone has not been imitated by many other big clubs. Management will prefer to change the coach when their achievements are considered mediocre, but for Simeone he will find a replacement club easily because his coaching history tells who he is.
but to be honest, I quite doubt that Atletico Madrid will impress in the Champions League next season.

Still having Xabi as their coach and some other players still very much around is enough to give Leverkusen some good level of confidence in the fact that their performance will be still intact to a great extent, except for the champions league, they will have some levels of assurance with the bundesliga title again, but if they still fail to win the title for the second time, they will still make it to top four, I believe xabi will not allow a bad decline to the point they will not be able to get a decent finish in the bundesliga this season.

Champions league isn't a certainty for them, infact they may just have to try their luck with their experience but hopefully they get more than just trying their luck to seeing how much they can do in the champions league. If there be any transfer of a key player in Bayer Leverkusen then there will be needs to raise some levels of fears as to how well they are going to be able to perform through the new season but if they still remain intact, except for injuries and fatigue, I doubt if the will have much to really fear because I believe their tactics and strategies will be improved to achieve much more than they have done in the most recent season

I don't understand what you mean, even though I said that Atletico was only a finalist without ever winning a title, it should be clear that Atletico has never won a champions league title. I know that Ronaldo has always been Atletico's nightmare, especially if you remember the incident between Atletico and Juventus. At that time, Atletico was ahead on aggregate with 2 goals but was answered with 3 goals by Ronaldo, who at that time had moved to Juventus.
