The last 16 is now in the draw and I should have wanted to see a match between Real Madrid and an equal club like PSG, Bayern Munich or maybe Man City. The results of the draw which will take place on November 7, 2022, make the clubs have to be prepared to face quite a complicated possibility. In this phase, I expect something more challenging for a giant club.

Below you will find the probabilities for the draw of the matches for the round of 16 in the CL:

Pretty crazy that FC Bayern, as group winners without a loss, can only face four different teams. And that includes PSG (20%) and Liverpool FC (37%). WTF.

If Bayern had lost a few games and only finished second in their group, that would probably have been better for the draw.  Cheesy

Champions league is main for tough team unlike average teams that didnthwur best to qualify for the round of 16. Any team that makes it to the round of 16 is consider a big club and their formation tight, ready to matchup fights for the title. Real madrid remain my favorite to win the league this season because their form this season is incredible with winning last night game 5-1. The los blancos are not taking chances when it comes to games in UEFEA.
Undeniably, Real Madrid as defending champions will be in the list of favorite teams this season. Real Madrid performances are also very consistent, one of Real Madrid best performances in the group stage when they beat Celtic 5-1.
But you must not forget the other clubs, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and PSG. This club can be the toughest competitor for Real Madrid in the title race, their performance in the group stage is also very convincing. Bayern Munich is one of the teams to watch out for in the UCL, in the group stage they were able to win from all matches.

Napoli can be the underdogs this season, his performances during the Group stage were very good, Luciano Spalletti men managed to beat Liverpool by finishing as group winners. Real Madrid must always perform optimally to get to the final while defending the title, Ancelotti also must not underestimate other teams, because they can be a team that can eliminate Real Madrid from the UCL stage.

I think the clubs that have a real shot to go to the finals and win it are Man City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.  Not really sure about the rest but Liverpool could be a dark horse and may Napoli too.  I'll prolly start watching the CL a lot more closer as the KO stages awaits!

They missed the UCL because so long not to come, so Man City bought Haaland for quite a expensive.  Pep really longs to be able to bring a big ear to Man City. If I'm not mistaken, Man City have never been able to win when coached by Pep.   I agree that those three teams have a great chance of advancing to the semifinals. But I'm a big favourite with Man City, although there may be a lot of surprises that I can't predict. I'm looking forward to the draw for the first knockout round. When will it be done?

The three teams you mentioned will probably advance to the semi-finals if they manage to qualify from the last 16 against the unseeded teams. I hope Manchester City really prove their worth this season against their opponents even though last season they had to be stopped by Real Madrid. I'll see the odds after the last 16 draw, at least I don't expect them to fail this season.

My guess is that there will be an early final in the semi-final which should be a final between teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City or Bayern Munich. We will see later.

^  Nono.  Not that early in the KO stages.  It would be a lot better and a lot more exciting to see those clubs go against each other in the quarter finals and the semi finals.  Lol.

It would actually be like a retirement for Simeone if he leaves Atletico Madrid.  Grin  Because he has had more than 10 years here as you mentioned. And I can't think of an alternative strong team for him to manage in case he quits his job.
One can say, Simeone is actually the face of Atletico Madrid and his all black uniform, lol...

Juventus at the moment is putting up such a good fight against PSG. From the way its looking, they could get such a good result from this match if they could be more accurate on there chances. The chances are actually coming, they are frequent in creating them but not so much in its conversion.

You can imagine how Fabio Miretti missed a chance that could be equated with a penalty. Like, it was just himself and the goalkeeper and somehow, he was so dull to had let Marquinhos run into the rescue. Its a draw and the game is still open for both sides. Let's see what happens in the second half.

Simeone actually thought of leaving his job last season. Because they had really difficult times during the season in the La Liga. Their Champions League performance was also not very bright as they barely qualified for next stage thanks to their winning their last group match. Anyway after this horrible run in the Champions League maybe he is reconsidering it. The biggest achievement they can get in this season is to finish the La Liga at the 3rd position.

Slava Ukraini!
If that game would be very important, I'd expect that PSG will simply destroy Juventus. Now I think that they simply will win. Though, it's still fight for 1st place in group, Benfica will face Haifa. I'm not really sure who will finish higher if PSG and Benfica will have same points because both games between these teams ended 1:1.
Waiting for Milan win. Remaining games today is meaningless. City - Sevilla probably won't be very exciting, City is without Haaland and their squad isn't fully main.

It would be nice if Simeone himself thought to resign. Didn't those thoughts cross his mind? He has been coaching Atletico for 11 years. Yes, he had great victories, but damn it, first of all, is he really not interested in new challenges? Secondly, Atlético has been degrading for quite some time. Zero new ideas, zero development (although I may be biased, but from the outside it looks like this). I think it's high time to change something here.
Disagree about Scottish football - they are obviously weak compared to the top leagues, but not every weak country can boast two clubs in the Champions League.
Simeone resign himself? Considering how much money he is getting in Madrid, I think it's very unlikely to happen, he would be iditiot if he would do that.
Well, obviously both Scottish clubs were beyond champions league level this season. IIRC, they have two clubs in Champions league after very long break. Celtic qualified as champions, while Rangers unexpected eliminated PSV. But in general, level of their league is far from what they had in best times.

Even though Barcelona won their match against Viktoria Plzen, they still had to say goodbye to the Champions League and welcome to the Europa League. This season is said to be quite difficult for Barcelona, which has exhausted many changes to the squad with the purchase of players and has been suppressed by a deteriorating economy, but in fact, the goddess of fortune has not been able to show confidence in this club to remain in the prestigious league.
This is like repeating last season's failure and again having to settle for competing in the Europa League, but can they do better this time in the Europa League? get to the final
Europa, or for that matter neither champions league nor even conference league, is not something that is straight forward like "win games and get the cup" because even best teams could end up losing. It could change all within span of few minutes, remember last year’s Madrid vs City game? On 86th minute Grealish missed a chance to score by inches, in the next 5 minutes or so Real came back from behind and won.

That’s the type of thing that you need to be careful about in these competitions and even the biggest teams could lose games within just a few minutes. I am guessing that Barcelona will try their best, and maybe they will win the cup, but it will not be that easy just because they are better than everyone else.

Juventus have a really tough job to do tonight. Their ticket to the Europa League is still not secured as they have the same points with Maccabi Haifa. Their being eliminated completely from European tournaments is likely I think. They might share the same fate with Atletico Madrid.

I don't think Maccabi Haifa can defeat Benfica above all else. Because it is still not finished for Benfica. They still have the chance to take the lead from PSG. Hence I expect Benfica to get at least one point here but their win is more likely than a draw in my opinion. However Juventus shouldn't leave their job to chance anyway. Their form in the Serie A lately is quite decent. But they have shown a really bad performance in the Champions League so far. Allegri is already criticised a lot with the look of the team now. If he doesn't even qualify for the Europa League it would be even worse for him. I hope to see their best effort here and maybe they can somehow get one point depending on their offensive performance.

Today Uefa champions league games are work-overs. A lot of teams playing tonight have already qualified and knows their stand in the next round. Ac Milan Vs Salzburg, Shakhtar Vs Leipzig are the only spot deciding games. PSG and Benfica have already qualified but they’ll want to win their games so one of them sits top of the table. I feel Juventus will trouble PSG even though they have nothing to gain. But I see PSG winning that game to maintain their position at the top.

Atletico kicked out from Champions league last week and now they got eliminated from Europa league playoffs. But still, I don't think it's likely that Simeone will be sacked for such fiasco. While Brugge after draw with Bayer didn't managed to keep 1st place.
Rangers is another pathetic team - 0 points, 2 goals scored, 22 conceded. Together with terrible Celtic performance it summarize level of Scottish football very well. Ajax didn't looked well in Champions league, but I think they can make some noise in Europa league.
Saw only last minutes of Marseille - Spurs game and I managed to catch that late drama. Goal on 95th minute and win let Spurs to take 1st place in group and avoid potentially stronger opponent in round of 16. Marseille ends in last place, but it was such equal group.

It would be nice if Simeone himself thought to resign. Didn't those thoughts cross his mind? He has been coaching Atletico for 11 years. The match between Real Madrid and Celtic will start today. We all know that Real Madrid plays a very good game. But this match does not seem to be a very tough fight. We know that Celtic play a bad game in almost every match. In this match, Real  We all know that Madrid will play a good game. But at the end of the game we will see the correct result and hope Real Madrid will win this match.
Yes, Real Madrid will beat Celtic 2-0 in this match, because Celtic players cannot withstand mighty Real Madrid who defeated many strong teams in their last matches in this UEFA champions league competition, and they are still in a good condition to win this match. I guess,  Real Madrid players will surely showcase their new skills in this match by making all the position strong for Celtic players not to achieve any goal through out the match.

Liverpool must maintain its strength and get some regular victories in both the EPL and UEFA.
Actually seeing Liverpool win the game at Anfield is normal but on sunday's league defeat cast doubts on their ability to beat Napoli, but actually any result last night doesn't change anything that they are already go to the round of 16.

13 goals against 33 goals...  It's really unbelievable. Barcelona are just pyschologically weak against Bayern Munich. No matter they have Messi or not, they are still staying weak against Bayern Munich. Xavi also couldn't create a solution in both games this season.

Yes. This raises the biggest question for us as spectators and even Barcelona fans. It seems that Barcelona is so difficult to beat Bayern Munich. Maybe at this time Barcelona lacked reliable players, but when Messi, Arturo Vidal and Luis Suarez were also unable to beat Bayern. While the Bayern team was strengthened by Thomas Müller, Ivan Perišić, and Robert Lewandowski. In fact, when Robert is now strengthening Barcelona, it does not make Barcelona turn things around.

It's fantastic that Liverpool won because yesterday night's game was challenging. However, Liverpool was able to win. Liverpool performs better against larger opponents; I predict they will beat Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday and possibly Bayern Munich in the knockout round. Liverpool's self-assurance has returned, and I hope they keep it. The players' confidence and morale weren't great after losing three straight matches in the EPl, but this victory will greatly help to lift the Liverpool team's spirits.
The majority of UEFA champions struggle in their domestic competitions, but Liverpool must maintain its strength and get some regular victories in both the EPL and UEFA.

Tottenham came has a shocker and reclaimed back the top of the group D table.
Tottenham have been a lucky team the past few weeks. Coupled with their injury challenges and lack of players and options in the bench, the coach Conte and the team has been been saved a lot from their last minute winner for games they were just expecting a point from or no point at all. They cannot continue to depend on this strategy of chasing after games, because it will not work all the time, if the really intend to be winners of the champions League or even the premier League, they need to work on scoring and defending their goals instead of chasing after games and then being lucky to win, luck doesn't happen everyday.

The past two game's now for Tottenham are now win through struggling during late winner's, Bentacuur over the weekend and now Hojdberg with the late winner again,  with the view of how things went with Liverpool, with Konate back to pair with Virgil how will Kane be on the score sheet with that solid defending. Tottenham played like the united Jose Mourinho managed last, always struggling with late winner's
Is very annoying thing when Tottenham will be waiting for a opponents they are better than,or have good player's than to fall in their counter attack plans, against Bournemouth at the weekend at the vitality stadium Tottenham plays awfully waiting and sustaining pressure waiting to catch them In counter attack and they went 2 goals down for that as punishment, same thing happened against Marseille in France.how long will conte keep doing this.
