City have some kind of fear when they get to the 1/4 final. I don’t know why but maybe this is finally the year they get further.
It's called Pedigree, They don't have much history in the UCL and that always haunts them whenever they try to get closer to the trophy. It's one unique thing about UCL. A team just doesn't come out of nowhere to win it. It takes years sometimes to gain the experience before finally winning it. i wouldn't be surprise if they don't win again this year.

Is nobody going to talk about City easy group? 3 wins out of 3 matches, against a team like Dinamo Zagreb, etc.
This group stage is literally a walk in the park for them. They should at least have a competitor like Atletico Madrid or something.

Don't worry, it's just group stage. A team still has to play 7 matches in knock-out stages to lift the trophy. I don't want to enter into debate whether Man City get easy group every time intentionally or it's just luck! Either way, they still have to prove them on the Europe stage and I don't see that happening with the defense they got. Even in match against Atlanta, Man City started with no central defender and offered penalty. Both of their main CBs, Otamendi and Stones haven't been at their best since last season. (Otamendi even degraded to Golden Ball from Black Ball in PES20). Pep is too focused on attack but defense is serious concern for MC.

City have been steadily growing in the UCL

Yes, you know if they are under investigation and Eufa is doing nothing to punish their illegal activities.. They can grow.

Do you refer to the financial fairplay?
I am not aware of any illegal activities done from the City that should be under investigation. The only one is the financial fairplay which I think that City doesn't follow the rules.

This can be also for their coach's fault.
After Barcelona Guardiola didn't do so much and didn't went so far on Champions with Bayern an City, maybe one semifinal in 8years.

I saw an amusing stat before that Pep hasn’t been to a CL Final without Messi. Take from that information what you want.

This could be a fault of the manager no doubt, as pep Guardiola probably hasn't been superb in the UCL since he left camp nou, but another thing you must understand is that Manchester City are yet to make the champions league their "home", they cannot be fully called a Uefa champions league team.

City have been steadily growing in the UCL and you must also note that it takes time to climb up the ranks in the UCL and I do not think there is a better coach to take them to glory than pep Guardiola.
I hope if he doesn't do that this season, he'll till remain at the etihad and try again, they seem to be edging closer.

Always a chance of an easy group when you’re in pot 1 I guess. They have had the equivalent of a Europa League group for the last 2 seasons though. All that money & they still can’t get to a semi Smiley

I don't think so.
I think they have other problem,  luck of confidence in the big and important matches.
In Europe we have every year about 10 always the same clubs who are candidates to win CL.
But,  in the last 4-5 years we hadon't always the same winner.
How is this possible?
Why almost every time Real,  and not Barcelona with Messi or Juve or Manchester City?
Confidence and experience I guess.

Man city was so lucky to have such opponents in their group it's a Much more easier group with no stress of qualifying to next round
I believe that their fate in wining the champions league will be test right from quarter finals, because they might be pair with another team that might be an easy win in next round before quarter final

It is true that playing at home will be stronger for Dortmund but I am not afraid of Inter Milan's game even though playing at home to Dortmund remains in a different game appearance Inter Milan have good static even at home they can beat their opponents.
Inter Milan are in the best condition at the moment, and I think Antonio Conte is responsible for Inters achievements this season. Lautaro Martinez has been pretty good this season and made a difference in front of the opponents goal. I think Dortmund wont make it to the next round if they cant beat Inter at home later.

And i expecting that Inter and Barcelona will get into the next round in the group.
Both of these teams seem to qualify for the next phase. I agree with you.

Dortmund needs to win with Inter now if they want to pass the turn with the same points of Inter in the end.
The goal differences is considered only if they have the same results on the face-off.

Considering that they also need to have a difference of 2 goals in their match vs Inter to be safe.
If they win for example 1-0 or 2-1 in case of the same points they will be out.

Not a single surprise this week.
Every single big team won their match, Inter saved his chance to advance but they are still in bad spot, same as Napoli.

Yes, Inter has secured its position to go ahead after winning against Dortmund, but I am sure Inter will secure its position to become runner up, Dortmund will be a serious competitor in this position. About Napoli, I think it's a very safe position or spot because in group E, Napoli and Liverpool will certainly continue to go further. So I'm not sure they are in a bad spot.

Dortmund will not be silent in the second leg playing at home is certainly an advantage for Dortmund meaning Inter Milan position is not yet safe
competition will continue until each team against Barcelona this match will determine.

Well given the (offensive) performance of Dortmund yesterday (which was the worst I can remember for the last 100 matches or so), it already needs a miracle for them to go through to the KO-rounds.

Assuming both Inter and Dortmund will lose their matches to Barca and win their matches against Slavia, the direct comparison will step in with being equal on  points, Dortmund needs to win the direct match against Inter on November 05th - for doing so they definitely need to improve (offensively) and at least one out of Reus and/or Alcazer back to pitch.

Next week will be an exciting match where Dortmund and Inter Milan must win to occupy the Runner Up position, but I think Inter's game will be more dominant either Conte will not stand still for his foster children, Inter will show their best skills at cage Dortmund.

it is not easy to beat Dortmund at home. they are strong enough to play at home with great supporters, yeah you can see when they meet Barcelona at home, they are good enough to hold a draw.

Absolutely, Dortmund has a good record when they play at home. at least in some home games in the Bundesliga, they have not been beaten. and in the first match when they meet Barcelona they can also draw against Barcelona

the only shock result was of Chelsea winning their match against Ajax.

Ajax were in very good form leading up to the game against Chelsea, but I do not think that makes it a shock result. Chelsea dominated the game for most of the second half and forced the goal, while Ajax were trying to hold onto a draw.
Frank lampard is grooming an attack minded team, which takes he initiative. And they are beginning to concede less in matches.

In the 86th minute Batshuayi was able to score against Ajax this fortune in Chelsea, Prank Lampard finally felt relieved because his team won in the final minutes, and I think Lampard will prepare to face opponents next week in the same formation.
