Yeah, the same mistake Chelsea and PSG made, both teams gave Real Madrid a ticket to the next round. Real Madrid were not the better team in each of those games, but individual defensive errors were the reason they are in the semifinals. Manchester City made the same mistake yesterday, with Benzima's second goal and the Pk both coming from defensive errors. I wouldn't be surprised if Manchester City squandered their chances in the second leg.

I cannot shake the feeling that Chelsea and PSG both somehow underestimated Real Madrid in the Champions League, otherwise they would have won against Madrid. A lot of people expected Real Madrid to not reach this stage of the competition, But Real Madrid proves them wrong.

It's true that Real Madrid was helped by some mistakes made by their opponents but they truly deserved it. and now Real Madrid is one goal behind after the first leg against Manchester City so it will be interesting to see if they can overcome the deficit in the second leg.

Liverpool should certainly be the favourites, yes, and I'd expect them to go through to the final. But I don't think Villareal should be underestimated, remember they have got through to a Champions League semi-final, and that doesn't happen by accident. And in particular, remember that they knocked out Juventus in the round of 16, and knocked out Bayern in the quarters. Any team that can knock out those two is capable of winning the tournament. So yes, Liverpool are favourites, but it's unlikely to be easy for them.

Of course all the teams that will compete in the semifinals are very ready and they are all the best teams that should not be underestimated. although Liverpool's quality is far superior to Villarreal, anything is still possible because this is a UCL semi-final match with high tension.

If Villarreal can win Bayern by surprise then Liverpool should not underrate Villarreal else they might receive their own surprise.
