Real Madrid are of course in trouble as they are disadvantageous now. But there is still nothing ended for them.
Not at all, they only trail by a lone goal, and for a team of their standard it is more than recoverable, all they have to do is enter the game with a better tactic than they did in the first leg, they were too timid and not willing to commit men forward, it was more or less like they were just praying for a draw, but Mbappe had other ideas right at the death.

Madrid must come out and put pressure on PSG, afterall they are already behind heading into the game, so it is going to be foolish to concentrate solely on defense, i am pretty sure the two teams are going to entertain us, and since i am neutral in this one, may the better team win.
Yes, Madrid should not apply a defensive strategy in the second leg later but indeed, implementing a full attack is also a concern because we know PSG's players have good speed and finishing because of the many top players there. Even though the second leg was played at the Santiago Bernabéu but with such quality of players then of course this is a match that will still be difficult for both teams, I personally don't believe in many goals because PSG's defense could also be very strong because they will maintain the advantage 1-0 that they already have.
if both teams play openly and attack each other, chances are there will be many goals in this match.
The quality of the players of both teams between Real Madrid and PSG is almost the same, and if you look at the first leg match I believe PSG will be able to win again even though the last match shown by both teams in their respective domestic leagues this week where Real Madrid could win big and PSG lost, I think UCL games have different tensions for the players.

Correct, but PSG really has zero pressure to win any of the left games in Ligue 1. They'd rather try not to get injured and there is no doubt that PSG played an astonishing first leg against Real in the CL. Real themselves said that the best on that evening was that the result only was a 1-0. It could have been much much worse.

PSG only played for the draw, they were "comfortable" thinking they had control of the game and didn't expect to concede a goal from Nice at the end of the second half, now they have to run after the damage.
This was the last match of the team before the 'decision' against Real Madrid, for the round of 16 of the Champions League.
Will this defeat influence players' moods for the next game?

Kroos seems to be injured. Would not actually be good news for Real Madrid...

Even more so for himself. I hope he is going to be healthy. He has a great character and is a great player. Would be sad if he can't support the team and they actually lose the game then. Other than that I would be happy to see PSG advance as well just out of curiosity to see how far they can make it against Man City or Bayern Munich or Liverpool, should it come to those match ups.

Benzema was not completely healthy in the first leg. Yet he was present on the field. And we saw the poor performances of Benzema and Real Madrid. Kross is an important player for Real Madrid. If he is not in the team, Real Madrid will get in trouble again. Real Madrid lost the first match. So there is no option to win the home match against PSG. PSG's gameplay is excellent now. Winning this match will not be easy.

Real Madrid is in trouble anyway. Being 1-0 down against PSG is tough because their offense is so strong. Having Mbappe, Neymar and Messi against you in a game that allows for PSG to play counter attacks is really difficult to pull off. I guess that even in the second leg Real will play a very strategic game and try to be patient. They can also turn things around in a late game.

Even though on aggregate Madrid are 0-1 behind PSG, the opportunity to turn things around is still open.  Seeing this week's results in the domestic league, Madrid succeeded in silencing Real Sociedad with a landslide score of 4-1 this will be an additional motivation for Don Carlo's men, on the other hand PSG reaped a disappointing result where they lost 1-0 against Nice this week.

We are only two days far from the beginning of the rematches. And on January 8, there are two games:

Bayern Munich vs Salzburg
Liverpool vs Inter

The first leg of the former matchup ended in a draw by 1-1. And Salzburg would have even won that game too. I didn't like Bayern Munich's performance at all but I don't expect it to affect their performance in the second leg badly either. I think Bayern Munich will crush Salzburg in this game. And when it comes to the latter, Liverpool are already in a comfortable situation as they won the first leg by 2-0. It was not easy though but the result was the most important point. I think they will win here again and finish this.

Both matches look like the result is already clear, but nevertheless, neither Bayern nor Liverpool should relax. I think in any case we will see a productive game because in each pair no one will sit and wait for the end of 90 minutes (although maybe Salzburg would not mind). At the moment, Bayern's quotes for reaching the quarter-finals are 1.08, and Liverpool's are 1.02 (LOL).

I agree with you that the hosts are in a big advantage and favorites to advance to the next round of the competition.
Bayern have not been playing well in the German championship lately, so their poor result and play in the first game in Salzburg is not a surprise for me.
In fact, they should have lost that game, but with a lot of luck, they drew, which now gives them a good chance for an overall victory.
Inter also played a very good game against Liverpool and deserved a much better result.
However, they didn't take their chances in the game and Liverpool is big favorite now for overall victory.
Let's not forget, however, that this is the Champions League and that there have been bigger surprises in this competition before  Grin

Real Madrid are of course in trouble as they are disadvantageous now. But there is still nothing ended for them. They will attack with all they have got against PSG in Santiago Bernabeu. And I'm feeling confident that they will make PSG have a hard time here. If Real Madrid score before them, then the game could be even more interesting. Because both of the teams will need to play carefully in that case. And we can even see the extra time and penalty shoot-outs. And this matchup really deserves a big competition.
Although Real Madrid's recent performance has had its ups and downs and in the second leg it looks like Real Madrid will remain confident and will play more attacking considering that in the second leg they lost 1-0 to PSG through Kylian Mbappe's goal.
And Santiago Bernabeu has many moments like this, comebacks and Real Madrid hope to do the same, because losing 1-0 is not a big loss so there is still a possibility to turn things around if Real Madrid puts a lot of pressure on PSG players It seems PSG prefer to play defensively and take advantage of the opportunity to attack if the opportunity arises.

PSG are aware Real Madrid will be up for a very strong game and will want to do everything within their power to surprisingly eliminate PSG,but it's really going to be tough because PSG will be fighting for goals and will want to score Atleast two goals at Bernabeu.
I see the match to be very interesting to watch, but to me,there is nothing Real Madrid can do again, they might win,but I think PSG will qualify.

Attacking, controlling the game without forgetting to defend, I think this will be Real Madrid's strategy. Because if they just played like they did in the first leg, they would really lose. We cannot deny that Paris Saint-Germain are a good team and they are reinforced with star names. At least they have to catch up with one goal first. After that they will play comfortably.

in the 2nd leg match I believe Real Madrid will make extra efforts to always put pressure on PSG especially Los Blancos playing at home, 1-0 advantage in the first leg does not make Mauricio Pochettino calm despite being strengthened by many world star players, inconsistency games still often haunt the squad  Les Parisiens, I think Real Madrid will take advantage of all technical as well as non-technical aspects, with experience on the European stage, so Madrid is very open to their chance to continue to advance to the next phase.

I also think that the best strategy for Real Madrid in the second leg would be to stay patient especially in the beginning of the match and try to get control over the game, having more ball possession than PSG and slowly but surely get more confidence to risk a little more in order to score the much needed goal. It is definitely true that PSG is very dangerous because Mbappe is probably one of the best players in the world if you want to perform quick counter attacks, but of course Real Madrid also knows that and i also think that if there are clubs in the world that don't get nervous even is they are still behind in the 70th minute or so, then it is Real Madrid, i think they still have good chances to advance.

They have a win in the first match. That's why Paris SG will play comfortably. Real Madrid must take risks. They should play a game that puts more emphasis on the offensive direction. If they do not score, they will return to Spain empty-handed. Real Madrid is very close to the championship in La Liga this year. And they expect UCL success. For this, they have to eliminate Paris SG.

With current form in domestic leagues am very sure that real Madrid will qualify on aggregate in the second leg against Paris Saint Germain, real Madrid have good players that can turn this tier around, because Paris Saint Germain are performing very poorly this season,I sometimes wonder why big clubs are still going after Mauricio Pochetino, you can't have Messi Neymar and Mbappe and still be performing badly is not normal.

Inter are definitely a big club and there is no doubt about it. They are one of the strongest clubs in the Serie A now. But they are in a really desperate situation in the Champions League currently. Because they already lost their home match by 2-0 in the first leg. And in Anfield, I see a low chance for Inter to even draw with Liverpool. We all know how much Liverpool are dominating their home matches this season. They are always eager to win in this kind of matches no matter what. And they will do so in this match too I think.
I think that Inter dosent stand a chance. I think honestly they cannot score so many goals and win on one of the most heated stadiums in the world. Inter will not only get knocked out but i think they will lose hard in England aswell. Liverpool is in an amazing form and Inter isnt close to their level at all
This match will certainly be favored by Liverpool because it will be very difficult for Inter to beat a Liverpool team who are currently in their best form, there is nothing Inter can do more to stop Liverpool than to equalize because Inter must score three goals against Liverpool without replying if want to come out victorious and it certainly doesn't happen easily unless Liverpool underestimate the Inter team during the game.

Not only City, even 2 other EPL clubs can be said to be strong candidates for qualification because Liverpool and Chelsea are also doing the same thing.
On the other hand, their performance is still quite good compared to their opponents.
In the 2nd Leg later for City, I even feel that I will not work too hard, even though the match will still be run but having to win against a club like City by pursuing an aggregate of 5 goals is not an easy thing to do
City have frozen a very good starting capital by being able to relax a bit in the second leg because they will only keep the ball very well in order to qualify for the next round although will not be too insistent on scoring more goals, but if the opportunity is there, I think the side City also will not ignore it in the second leg match later.
Ahead of the second leg of the Champions League last 16, Manchester City is quite relaxed, because in the first leg they managed to beat Lisbon with a score of 0-5.
With an aggregate capital of 5-0, Manchester City will certainly qualify for the quarter-finals with ease. Pep Guardiola looks like he will make a rotation in the second leg, This policy must be carried out by Guardiola to maintain the stamina of players so that they can continue to be consistent in the Premier League. Because their position as the top standings received a big threat from liverpool.

Manchester City only needs to draw or lose by four goals to Sporting Lisbon to qualify for the next round.

when viewed from the game of the two teams in the first leg, it is very possible that PSG can enjoy winning again in this 2nd leg regardless of the results of the two domestic teams this week for each team.
I think PSG are not too focused on the domestic league because they are already very comfortable at the top of the table, they are very focused on the UCL which will be played in the middle of this week.
with the quality of the players that PSG have I think they will win again when they play in the second leg later.
