Fortunately the first leg of Man United can draw at Atletico Madrid. One goal seems to be enough as a second leg provision in England. But after they only drew in the EPL they had to continue with a tough game before playing in ucl. They will face Man City and Tottenham. It will drain their energy. Rangnick certainly has to be careful if he does not want to fail at UCL because tomorrow is the determination they have to fall or continue.

Manchester United's draw in the first leg did provide capital when hosting Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford, but currently Manchester United appear so sluggish in the English league where they were held to a draw by lower team Watford in the English league, where next week they having to face Manchester city and also Tottenham hotspurs can certainly make the Manchester united players so drained of energy before having to face the second leg against Atletico Madrid, if you don't rotate a lot of players in the EPL match it will be very difficult for Manchester united to silence Atletico Madrid at their old headquarters Trafford stadium

Inter Milan can't play draw against Liverpool when you look from their performances,  having salah and sadio in Liverpool am very sure any of their match there is hope for Liverpool to do greatly.  To be honest Liverpool has been doing best in their performance. It will be very difficult for inter Milan to win the game.

Do not underestimate the Inter Milan team. Inter Milan is a strong enough team, and the bigger thing is that they are a very experienced team. Liverpool are certainly strong, no doubt, but it is not certain that they will win with Inter Milan. If Inter Milan are able to play with their main squad, and if their key player will not be injured, then I would expect a draw in this match.

Yes, i agree.. but is UNPREDICTABLE TEAM

he doesn't have a clear and stable performance, he plays a bit like that, depending on the mood and the day
if he could use 100% all his strength always, he would win practically all the games .. unfortunately he has a management that makes you laugh

I don't think they need to think about the distant matches, it's better that they focus on the closest matches. Because, if they think about a distant match, they will be burdened with it.
I hope Ralf Rangnick can rotate players to reduce their physical risk. Yes although it's risky because it's a big game. But it's not wrong if you want to try a new strategy, and hope that the players who are given the opportunity to perform optimally.

I personally feel that the home advantage should help Manchester United win this match, but Ralf will need to get his tactics right for the game. Furthermore I wouldn’t be surprised if he dropped Ronaldo for this match, and yes he’ll be heavily criticised for it, but I feel that he should take this gamble as it’s clear that he’s not happy with Ronaldo’s performances.
Although Manchester United has the opportunity to win this match because they are the host, Atletico Madrid will not let that happen, because I think Manchester United's game is predictable and inconsistent which Atletico Madrid will take advantage of.
In the second leg it will be a tough task for Ralf Rangnick to manage players and strategies that have not been satisfactory because in the EPL against the bottom team only able to play a draw, Atletico Madrid's game is very aggressive and also fast and that is something that must be considered.

Juventus - Villarreal can be an interesting matchup still. Juventus are still the favourite side to me though but Villarreal are not a team that can be undervalued here.
Of course, the first leg was not easy at all and i am pretty sure the second leg wouldn't be as well. Juventus will always be favorites against Villareal, but since Juve are not in top form, especially in their league, there is no guarantee that they are going to be victorious at the end of this tie, it is going to be an interesting contest as both teams come into this game level, with away goal rule no longer a factor in the CL. I am excited as we no longer have that rule in the CL, it has unfairly cost many teams down the years and in my opinion it is a good thing it has been removed, does anyone think away goal goal rule is necessary and should not have been removed?

Horrible days await Rangnick. If they do not play well in the Premier League, in a few days they will be out of the top 4 of the table and they will lose the qualification to play in the Champions League. On the other hand, they are not able to play well in the Champions League matches. They did not play well enough against Atletico Madrid in the first leg.
The next four matches are very important for them. Their future depends on these four matches. They will play against Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Tottenham and Liverpool. If they can score points in these three matches in the Premier League, they will probably be able to qualify for the Champions League. Moreover, the Champions League match is their home match. United may win this match too.
What does it mean not good enough? To draw on the opponent's field is quite a good result for the first match. Unfortunately, at this moment in time, Manchester United is not in such a state to definitely claim victory with rivals of the Atletico Madrid class. An unpredictable match awaits us, because Atletico Madrid looked pretty good in the last round of the national championship, although it is too early to talk about overcoming some crisis in the results, however, the same can be said about Manchester United. Not scoring a single goal against Watford, who are in the penultimate place of the league, is not what a club that claims a high place in the championship and entry into the Champions League should do.

We don't underestimate Inter Milan. They are a strong team and surely very experienced in UCL. But if we compare with Liverpool, Liverpool is much stronger than Inter Milan nowadays. Liverpool has incredible attackers, the combination of Mane-Firmino-Salah makes them very effective in attacking. Moreover, the 2nd Leg will be held in Liverpool home, so Liverpool players must have bigger confidence to win the match. I don't think the result of the second Leg will be a draw, it should be a victory for Liverpool. Even Inter Milan plays with a full team or their main squad, I predict the score will be 3-1 for Liverpool victory.

If we compare Inter and Liverpool, it is clear that Liverpool's performance is far superior. Inter in Serie A have only won once in 5 matches,
while Liverpool in the Premier League achieved perfect results in the last 5 matches. This means Liverpool play much more consistently
than Inter, so there is no doubt that Liverpool should beat Inter in the second leg. Liverpool's strength is indeed on the front lines which have
an extraordinary combination of players, not only Mane, Firmino and Salah. Liverpool also have Diogo Jota who often scores important goals
for Liverpool, even Luis Diaz as a new Liverpool player has shown extraordinary performance. So don't underestimate the strength of Inter,
however Inter have indeed been declining in form in the last few matches. And the quality of Liverpool's players is a little bit better,
so it is natural that many people predict Liverpool will win the game and qualify for the next round.

If Juventus or anyone underestimate Villarreal, it is clearly understandable. The truth is at this stage of the competition, experience comes into play. Not just experience of the players or how good they are but the pedigree of the club in such competition.
Juventus is clearly a bigger dog in European football stage than Villarreal and these things though may look insignificant but do play roles in games like this.

Italians are bad this year! I guess we can't expect much from Inter, they lost the first game, and they will probably lose once again in England... For sure Inter will not surrender, but chances for Inter to do something are very low, they need some miracle I guess to win!
I think that Villareal has a decent chance! They showed they can play against Juve and if they repeat the same game maybe we will see penalties in this game!
To be honest, I don't see Inter Milan getting a draw in England because the team has not been consistent in their league so far so coming to play Against Liverpool in England is fine but getting a Draw is what I don't think can happen because Liverpool is in good shape and form.
Juv against Villarreal is going to be a big game but from the look of things experience will play a vital role and I believe both sides have had good experience in the competition.

Also if you want to defend United being "fourth and close to third", you have to acknowledge that they are even closer to 6th as well.

They are many games ahead of Arsenal and Spurs, meaning if those two teams ended up winning, then they would be ahead of United and which would make United the 6th team, and all depends on a single loss while others win to make them 7th as well, just single game, since they are same points with West Ham as well. Meaning they are fourth, but they are also just one game away from being 7th if others win as well. Doesn't really mean anything to be ranked high when you played so many games more than the other teams.

Moreover, the Champions League match is their home match. United may win this match too.
Quote
"It's always a pleasure to be back in Madrid, one of the few cities in the world I call "home". Great feeling, great players, great game, it's the Champions League! The mother of all club competition! Now we have the opportunity to close this for us in our stadium, showing everyone why Old Trafford is and always will be The Theater Of Dreams. Last but not least, thanks to our amazing supporters! Your presence makes us stronger, and together we will move forward! Let's go, Devil!"

the sentence above is Cristiano's social media status just after they got the result "draw" match against atletico at their home (leg 1)

play at old trafford, I'm sure rangnick will use a different strategy to face athletico later. this match is the decider for manchester utd, I keep hope man utd can win and qualify for the next round

They can be a really annoying team when it comes to their defense. And their attacking line also is very good now. Considering every fact for this matchup, I still think that Juventus won't be eliminating them too easily. Villarreal would do their best and keep them busy. And the most important point that they should watch out for is not letting Juventus score first. If Juventus score first, Villarreal's job will be too hard.

I agree with you on this one but Manchester United will have no excuse if they lose against ATM in Old Trafford this is because they have had experience in this competition both UCL and EPL so no amount of pressure should make them lose in England even though they will play against city and Tottenham before hosting ATM.

Now, there is no advantage with home-away goals so that in the second leg, Manchester United will only have a support from their fans at their home stadium which are not enough to bring them final win. If they can not improve themselves or suddenly have a better performance than what they shown recent weeks, I am sure they will not be able to beat Athletico Madrid in aggregated result.

If they fail in both Premier League (top 4) and Champions League and blame on this tough mini tournament, they are wrong. It is mostly because they lost so many points in easy matches in which they should win and get as many points as possible. Points from easy matches will be helpful and can cover lost points in such tough tournament.
