That Mbappe's goal costed me a lot of money yesterday - I had a draw on 1 ticket and Real not to lose on the other. Still - a well deserved win overall - PSG was a far superior team, especially in the last 30 minutes or so.

They should have taken the lead with the penalty, but Messi once again took it really weak. For all his incredible football qualities - it's really hard to understand why he's such an average penalty taker.

It's interesting that they didn't find so many chances to score. Messi is one of the best players in the world, but he played very badly last night. We've seen him start to age, he missed the chances he used to score goals Sad If Messi had scored on the penalty spot, PSG could have played more comfortably and scored more goals. Mbappe saved the team, scoring a great goal at the last minute Cheesy

Finally PSG was able to score a goal through Mbappe in the final minute of added time in the 90+4 minute and the final score was 1-0, at least this will be the capital in the second leg later at Real Madrid.
and it's a shame Messi couldn't take the penalty kick well, as Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was able to block it and it should have been 2-0 for PSG.
2 - 0 would have been better, but anyone can miss a penalty, we do not know who will still quality between PSG and Real Madrid because Champions League is a very tough league that no club is not taking it most seriously. Let see what will happen in the second leg. I wish PSG to have scored more goal.

Manchester City wining with that goal range is not a surprise for me, it was an interesting match, if away match was like this, then we can predict how the home match will be.
1-0 is still luckier at home than not scoring at all. well even though PSG had the most balls in the game with a dramatic barrage of attacks. with magic from Mbape at the end of the minute it was a hero. and Real Madrid's defense also looks very strong. I think for the upcoming matches Real madrid will correct the mistakes from last night's defeat..?

With the way things are going,it is becoming clear that PSG and Mancity and Bayern are champions league tittle contenders, looking at the way Mancity humiliated sporting last night. It really showed that they are targeting the tittle, and Pep Guardiola won't want to be embarrassed  at the final again,so even if Mancity wouldn't have won if they get to the final, giving the tittle to Guardiola will be the motivating factor.

Manchester city are always favorite in all the season they partake in the champions league for the last 5years or so but never wins. Manchester city are always faced with lower opponent building up to the finals. While others are playing the top clubs and if they win they get more motivation to go further, Manchester city are getting teams like sporting. They should play teams like Bayern Munich and see if they can score as much goals as they're banging with sporting.

If I was Pep Guardiola, the squad need to be scoring less against smaller clubs so they bigger clubs don't over prepare against them thinking they can be easily defeated then they turn up and demolished them. Pep should learn from Thomas Tuchel title winning season.

The match really belongs to PSG because they were fully dominated the match since the beginning but i personally expect the score more than 1-0 because there are so many chances to score however leg 2 seems will be more easy for PSG because they only pushing draw results for went to quarterfinal and PSG had good record about that several years ago they can get draw results in Madrid home ground
Apparently, they could have scored more goals but they didn't. It could all read towards something, maybe the best UCL team in the world isn't fated to leave the league just soon, isn't it! You could take that for a hunch but, as far as football is concerned, a goal difference isn't much and Real Madrid is aware of that.
The PSG team have surprised us on several counts. We all or most of us knows how come they had to bid for Neymar Jnr. After the had over 3 or 3 goals advantage over Barcelona, they still got to loose it all in a come back during the second leg with Barcelona. Even then, they had a quality team too. There has been a change for sure, with Neymar Jnr,  Kylian Mbappe and Messi forming the offense but, Real Madrid has still got a trick or 2.

Wow, PSG totally dominated the match but as usual, they are still hard to score and also, Messi is still barren here for failing to score from a penalty kick. Real Madrid almost managed to hold this match to a draw, but finally Mbappe managed to score a goal at the end of the match. In the second leg, I'm sure PSG will only play defensively with a counter-attack which may become very dangerous which makes Madrid difficult to win.
PSG deserved to win this game, they controlled the game very well and they excelled in everything from ball possession, dangerous attacks and shots on target but unfortunately they only managed to score 1 goal.
if PSG play the same match as Leg 1 in the next match at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium it is very possible in my opinion they will also be able to win the Leg 2 match considering Real Madrid's performance has been very poor in the last few matches.
One thing I know about  PSG is their ability to better against worthy opponents than against average teams. PSG were massive in this game. It was just interesting to watch how they were very quick on both wings, they were all through. I never see Real Madrid getting such dominance in my whole life. Carlos Ancelotti couldn't influence the game with a solid tactics. Real Madrid just came to defend. They better come up with something better at the Santiago Bernabeu, because the second leg would go down the same way except with more goals and I see PSG getting more of the goals.

PSG played excellently. They showed great football class, leaving Real Madrid no chance. It was strange that they only managed to score one goal. After this match I think they will play in the final.

Yes, Man city was a huge favorite to win the match. Still, it would have been nicer if there had been a little more tension in the game. PSG's match against Madrid was great, despite only having 1 goal. I've never seen madrid pushed back so often and so little getting out. Then you also see how good psg is. I'm putting my money on Madrid to continue, they might soon play in a packed Bernabeu, that's a witch's cauldron and PSG has often been vulnerable this season. City? yes 0-5 won and at home I also think around 5-0.
Mahrez, Silva, Foden and Sterling became the heroes of Manchester City's victory over Sporting CP with a 0-5 suspension, this is a fantastic victory, with this victory Manchester City can be confirmed that they can advance to the quarter-finals, even though there is a second leg but no maybe sporting cp can turn things around, especially in the second leg Manchester city will play at home, congratulations to Manchester city because it can be confirmed that you will step into the quarter-finals of the prestigious league..
They have world's best coach, so what do you expect? Manchester City keep shining under Pep Guardiola. In the Champions League, City are the first team to win five straight away matches during the knockout stages. Bernado and Sterling scored great goals. Mahrez showed incredible energy throughout the match. Foden also showed some good moves. City are cruising this season. I wonder if they have a chance! However, what matters is when they win it, which they have not done yet.

Messi is just disappointing at Psg at the moment. Everyone and himself had expected much more from it. Perhaps there was too much pressure on him. With Mbappe in the squad, it might also be difficult to be the best player on the field. I think Mbappe might be the best player in the world, and tonight he showed why. That action with the 1-0 was unparalleled, 2 defenders from Madrid sent into the woods and perfectly rounded.
I'm not very much a Messi fan but before we start chanting praises for Mbappe, let's not be so quick to forget that, this same Mbappe was the player that single handed removed France from Euros2020 after missing a penalty shootout against Switzerland. I think that one was of the more importance compared to the one Messi missed yesterday. Never the less, it was pretty much disappointing to have seen him miss because, this is Real Madrid we are talking about here  a serious UCL contender that, you don't dare take chances with and still, Messi missed the goal.

During stoppage time, Mbappe steals the winning goal for PSG! We witnessed Mbappe score a goal, Neymar make an incredible assist, and MESSI miss a penalty! What an eventful game! First half was dominated by PSG but they failed to score, which shows how terrible they are. Throughout the game, all Madrid players defended their keeper. The only thing that matters is the win. In the second leg, I hope PSG does not concede any goals.

Great win for PSG, I knew they can do it, definitely, PSG was great last night! I expected more goals, and for sure I expected Real to score... but PSG was on the top last night! Of course, Messi missed a penalty, what a disaster, and there were other great opportunities... I agree that if PSG plays like this and dominates the entire game Real doesn't have a chance in the next game, but I don't think it will be easy! After all, it will be played in Madrid, and I think Real will wake up after this!

I think Inter vs Liverpool will be a great game two, both teams are playing very well... by the odds, Liverpool looks like a favorite, but I wouldn't underestimate Italians here, I think they can win tonight, maybe draw... and for sure this game can be both teams to score!

The result shows that Sporting's quality is still far away behind Man City. Playing in their own stadium, conceded by 5 goals and failed to score a goal. No chance for Sporting in the 2nd leg and I think Man City will not play with a full team in the 2nd leg, maybe they will rest some of their key players. On the other match, PSG dominated Madrid so much. So many goals attempts but they could score 1 goal only in the last minute of the additional times. Afaik the odds for PSG was around 1.9, lucky to those who were brave enough to bet on PSG.

Some times I wonder, if Lionel Messi is ever going to adapt and fit in the PSG team just as it was for him in Barcelona. With all things being equal, I think he has been with the club for far too long to prove his starship. Today's PSG 1-0 Real Madrid was a good game and as a Real Madrid supporter, they played good but still at a disappointing lose. I really wish this kind of fixture was what we had in the finals.
We still have Manchester City though and today, they very much whipped SportingCP. I almost thought they were out just to entertain.
PSG played very well last night, PSG was able to control the game for 90 minutes of the match, PSG was also able to make 9 shots that were right on goal, Real Madrid was made powerless, mbappe continued to tear apart the Real Madrid defense, in the 62nd minute mbappe was violated in in the penalty box, but unfortunately messi who is believed to be the executor is not able to carry out his duties properly, Messi's penalty can be read by couricus, good luck in injury time mbappe was able to break into the Real Madrid goal, after mbappe managed to trick 2 real Madrid players, in the leg second later PSG only need a draw, in the second leg PSG will also be able to play well Messi and my friends are sure to advance to the quarter-finals.

We are short on Messi to say that Mbappe is the best player in the world. He is still too young to be compared to Messi. Look what kind of records Messi has set (together with Ronaldo). especially together they are very valuable to this Psg team and they can use both well in the return in Madrid in 2 weeks. Madrid will go all out on that. I think it could be a small result again, but there could also be a goal rain shower. It also depends on what the weather is like. Tonight the weather was bad, it seemed.

Messi is probably the most efficient player in the history of soccer. The physical input during the games is often times pretty low, but the output is absolutely insane. His mind games, his creativity and ideas to solve complex situations or create rooms and chances for his teammates, his free kick efficiency, then hit quick dribbling and passes out of nowhere. The guy is still absolutely crazy. Nobody saw the first chance of Mbappe coming in this game when Messi overplayed the defense with a single pass out of a sudden and Mbappe was alone in front of Courtois. Nobody could have played that pass, really nobody. Messi does things that the opponents can't anticipate. Combined with Mbappe's speed, Messi's pass control is an absolute weapon. Even if he won't score 40+ goals a season anymore, I would still love to have him on my team for sure! Cheesy
Mbappe's single goal made Messi very lucky in the PSG vs Madrid match, failed to execute a penalty I think Messi made a pretty fatal mistake plus a pretty bad performance in that match. The inclusion of Neymar made PSG's attack even more varied and work with Mbappe paid off in the last minute through Mbappe's only goal. I think Madrid also played pretty badly in this match without a single shot at PSG. Although there is still a 2nd leg, but it still holds a big question mark if Madrid perform like last night's performance it is very difficult to restore a 2 goal advantage.
