It was an interesting game even though the goal margin isn't the high. Aside that late-winner goal from Mbappe, one if the key talking points would be that Messi's missed penalty. If Mbappe didn't score, I'm sure Messi would be blamed. While I'm not a PSG fan, I would really like if PSG can win Madrid in the return leg or at the very least, ein on aggregate. These PSG boys deserves to go ahead - compete and then win the UCL.

It is not for nothing that Mbappe is one of the best strikers in the world. That is true, with Real Madrid having just 1 shot on target, PSG got 8, Real Madrid got lucky today, the goals should have been more than 1 even as the penalty was missed by Messi.

This is not group stage anymore this season, this is round of 16, no point counted, opponents will either lose or win which will depend on the results of the home and away matches that will be played. Yes, Messi will be relieved that PSG won the match but having 2 goals will be an added advantage.

Crazy scenes and you can't say it's undeserved win for PSG, They really did work for this win and they earned it through Mbappe.

PSG were dominant all round the game and Real Madrid couldn't even register a shot on target, with the away goal rule cancelled, I guess there might have been no reason to go all out to get one in as much as they didn't concede right ?

It's going to be an entire different game in Spain, but we'll see. It's still anyone's tie.

After all, thanks to Mbappe goal, This game had logical outcome. PSG pushed really hard and deserved to score, while Real just tried to save 0:0 result and try to decide everything at home. And don't know how about others, but when I saw Messi going to make penalty, I had feeling that he will miss it and I was quite confident about. Mbappe had to make it, especially because he earned that penalty.
Sporting 0:5 City. Usually you don't expect such big wins in UCL playoffs. City were big favorites, but I didn't expected 5 goals. Congrats City for reaching next round.

Really cant understand how a team like Real Madrid can play this manner. Really no sense, because the PSG its not a really good team itself, yes a lot of stars but not a good team.

Dude created goal out of nowhere as well, he is truly the great of his era, the era of Ronaldo and Messi closes and the era for Mbappe is starting, maybe Haaland and someone else would join him by the looks of it, but Mbappe is definitely the king of his era! Basically its because both Neymar and Mbappe had a pretty bad chemistry and when Messi joined the team, it is even worst because Mbappe wants to prove that he is the best among those 3. Unfortunately Lionel Messi missed with his penalty kick today where Courtois managed to read the direction of his kick. Nice save from him and it has saved Madrid from defeat.

Overall I think PSG are much better than Real Madrid in this match. PSG dominated the match and they created a lot of chances but unfortunately they didn't score any goals today. I didn't expect the result to be a draw in the first leg, but it seems like a lot of people guessed something wrong today about PSG and Real Madrid.

We've probably gotten our headline for tomorrow if the games doesn't go PSG's way and it's going to be Lionel Messi missing a penalty that could have been the potential game winner given the tempo and nature of this game, I feel bad for him though, it's all just part of the game.

Meanwhile Man City have continued their onslaught against Sporting Lisbon in Portugal and that's 5 unanswered goals so far, with still plenty of time to play for.
