Actual condition is quite different in comparaison to last year.
Players from Italy and other infected countries have to pass covid test regularly. There are always substitutes to get the full team members ready for each match.
About infected Italian players, i hope they can recover soon.
This year, organisations as well as investors put more money with more caution to get a succeed season, at least to cover the lost from last year.

However, i bet on Liverpool to win the Trophy this year.

Yes, the situation and the conditions are quite different from march and first wave of covid.
However I do not feel the same peaceful. The situation is instable. Nothing is enough to make it degenerate..

change topic..
why are you betting on liverpool?

Midweek will be the inaugural match for the Champions League in the group stage, maybe at the beginning of this round there will be no interesting matches because it is almost certain that the big clubs will have no trouble qualifying for the next round, but there are several groups that will experience difficulties like Inter Milan. who must face tough opponents to qualify for the next round. However, it is too early to predict who will qualify for the group stage. Big teams will have no trouble qualifying for the breakup stages like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint Germain.

I am excited for the return of the CL, it’s the absolute pinnacle of club football. The best players from tye best clubs compete for European football’s biggest prize. Who are your favourite the win the trophy guys?

Don't Rush... We are seeing again the covid infections rising around Europe.
I am pretty much sure that the games for the teams that are coming from Italy are going to be postponed.
In the near future infections from other European countries are going to rise and the season is going to be ruined again as last year.

I shocked when I heard the news of Ronaldo testing positive for covid 19 and I was like how did he contacted it.
There are many possibilities for how he got the virus since some Juve players and staff are positive. But now, something that we want to know how long he will get certain medical treatments and stop to play? IMO, it must depend on the level of his health and the virus effect on the body. Well, as a Ronaldo fan, I hope he will recover very soon.
According to what I read yesterday , the virus was still in initial stage and thats the reason why he did not show any symptoms of the virus yet but it will took him at least 14days treatment.

Does anyone if his family are negative?
I got no information about this.
Let's hope nothing serious to happen to his family, especially for his children.
As he still regularly played in some matches during the pandemic, I am pretty sure that he may apply some rules at home to avoid the possibility of the virus spread to his family.
I asked the question cause his covid 19 was detected when the Portuguese were planning to play a friendly match and he may by any chance have physical contact with his family.

Yes, I happy to. I don’t know a fan which have any happiness about the games from the Nations League. Okay, the one or another watching few games. But the most games a pretty boring. I really hope, the Nations League will be abolished.
I am also very happy that UCL is starting again. Several games have been scheduled and I am waiting. On matchday 1 PSG vs Manchester United is scheduled to take place at the Parc des Princes Stadium. Something that interests me, Cavani will play against his former club. Apart from that I also want to see how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer chooses the main players, especially the defender position. They had bad results in the EPL, big losing because of the defender players' own mistakes. Even though Manchester United's last match won 3-0 with PSG, Manchester United's situation today is very different.

Man Utd were a good source of money for me last season and before. Both for losing to stupid teams and winning against fancier opponents. I think they beat City and PSG and Juventus so they're really my team to bet on in Cup competition.

Odds for this upset? A measly 54/10 but I took it at Fairlay. Heh.

I will be backing Liverpool, despite the bumpy ride they had this season I'm confident they will do well in their group, and Sadio and Thiago both tested negative so they'll bring extra morale to their club. Can't catch the virus twice you know. They'll be able to beat Ajax and Midtjylland easily, and Atalanta won't be too hard either.

Messi vs Ronaldo, the mid 30’s geriatric version Wink
No, I’ve loved seeing their careers & they're still world class, it’ll be great to see them face off twice in the group stage.

they are too long on the stage, and people get use it their rivalry, but it is good to see some changes and new blood in football, with different teams on the top, than Barcelona and Real, at least that is my opinion, it is simply enough of them in last ten years, i like to see new faces and new players on the pitch

it makes football more interesting

Shh don't say these things so loudly. I'm also the same age so my ears are burning whenever someone talks about them in this way;)

But yes, yes, yes, I agree totally. I always said it from early on. Give youth a chance for sure, but at the same time when Messi still does hattricks and Ronaldo still jumps like a kangaroo, why not see that clash together right?

unfortunately the situation is deteriorating very quickly
if you go out, you meet people obviously risk and these champions who try so hard in training you can't ask for that too (not go out)

the problem can be avoided by continuously test it (unfortunately there are no alternatives) and 10 days of quarantine are enough according to the latest scientific news

we hope can see messi vs ronaldo

The nation's league or international break as they call it isn't really helping as per entertainment wise. I'm not enjoying anything about the games at all. Coupled with the fact that, the Covid19 situation with every fan not allowed in the stadium has produced worst matches so far. International games were supposed to be interesting but, not much teams have got the star players we often hope to watch and the chances of teams having the best squad battling it out is rare.

Just cant wait for the UEFA Champions League to begin. Clearly the draws have been done since two weeks ago and the PSG and Manchester United match is going to be one of the fun matches to watch though, I don't see manchester united not loosing this one.

I agree.Nations League games so far have been proven to be boring games to watch on Tv as maybe the players are not that motivated in this new kind of League which is only in its second season or third I don’t remember.Uefa Champions League is well known for producing some of the most beautiful games to watch on Tv and the best soccer documentaries are about this competition so I can’t wait for it to start.

^  Impossible to do it like the NBA imho.  That would be a logistical nightmare.

Well if they cannot do the bubble soon or later leagues will stop, oh well they will be all positive soon or later so the problem will not exist at all atlest they will have antibodies.
I agree that it would be very difficult to make bubble for UEFA competitions and I don't think it's needed. NBA is closed league, while teams from Champions league still have to play in their national leagues and cups. And they must end season before Euro 2020 (EURO 2021 actually). While NBA planning to start in January and they don't give a fuck about upvoming Olympic games.
Offcourse, it's possible that again we will see something similar like UEFA bubble in Portugal to end 19/20 season, but it would only last case scenario.
Yeah, now many players getting this virus, but now it doesn't looks like a big problem. Especially when most cases is without any symptoms. They usually return to team after 14 days quarantine. Bigger issue when half of team get virus. In such case game should be postponed or reserve team should play.

There are tons of players from all around the world who got it and didn't really do bad at all. I remember when NBA first got cancelled first ones to get was Rudy Gobbert and Donoval Mitchell, I didn't hear from Rudy but we know Donovan spoke about it and said he feels like he could go out and play a whole game, he didn't felt anything at all.

Those type of viruses do exist as well, not everyone who gets corona suddenly goes very ill and suddenly dies, some of them just feels nothing and unless got a test they wouldn't even know they had it. Ronaldo is probably like that, dude doesn't seem to have any problems, he just has it so he needs to lockdown just so he doesn't spread it to anyone else and that's it. Let's hope nobody else from Portugal or his family got it.

The most awaited match is Juventus vs Barcelona in the first round where they want the two players to perform brilliantly but have a little problem with Ronaldo due to being exposed to Covid-19 after being declared by the Portuguese federation but I think there is still 15 days for Ronaldo to be isolated. and and recover from this virus so that in time it can appear again.

I am also waiting for this match between two beautiful teams and two powerful champions: Messi the flea and Ronaldo CR7!
We hope we can dispute it and we can enjoy it.

Let's hope they find a vaccine as soon as possible. Not only for football, but also for the economy.
Maybe for a mega star Ronaldo (CR7) a vaccine can be found quickly Grin

In this match, hopefully there will be no embarrassing results and in essence this match will be very attacking.

Have you heard the news about the vaccine from China which will be mass produced soon? means that it is a sign the vaccine is ready to face the economy.

^  Impossible to do it like the NBA imho.  That would be a logistical nightmare.

That's right, even if UEFA had a bubble ready, they would have to rush teams in and out in just a few hours before the next match starts, and with 8 games crammed into the same day followed by another day of 8 games, staff will be quickly overwhelmed and procedures wouldn't be implemented properly as a result which makes the bubble less effective. Plus you have twice as many players on the field to monitor compared to NBA.

The match between Juventus vs Barcelona is one of the most awaited matches in the Champions League this season. I hope these two star players can appear and present the best games for their respective teams. Regarding Ronaldo's health status, I hope he can get well soon before this meeting arrives.

That would be great but let's hope that Ferencvaros and Dynamo Kyiv don't mar the fans' enjoyment by scoring a win against Juventus or Barcelona because the match will be more exciting to watch if both Juventus and Barcelona win their matchday 1, right? Then it's a challenge to see who'll end the other's winning streak.

i think by may 2020 we will still see stadiums without fans .but without singing it is not a real football game with a great atmosphere.
maybe ronaldo scores three goals and messi scores 4 goals.and no fan can get angry or happy in the stadium.that is really sad
i hope this corona evil is soon history ..........soon and be patiente  Grin

I'm sure you meant May 2021, as we are far ahead of the stated date but then, yeah. This is what football have turned into in this era of the pandemic which the world still don't know if it's ever going to end or we should just give up and live with it. A lot of people are already living with it as the case may seem.
Not having fans in the fans section has made football matches seem like a training in section. Even trainings before the pandemic was more fun as some fans still occupied the stadium to be entertained by the activities athletes partake in. It just doesn't feel like it without the fans. Instead of people, I see badges... Boring.
