It was really worth it.    The regular time was very boring though. Extra time wasn't too different either but that winning goal came in a really unexpected moment. Once again El Kaabi was on the stage.    He really made a huge impact on Olympiacos' becoming the champions in the Conference League. 11 goals in 9 games is just great statistics you know.

Fiorentina must be really devastated after losing in the finale of this tournament two times in a row. Olympiacos were technically playing home as the game was in Athens and they took advantage of this in a really good way honestly.

Congratulations to Olympiacos for winning the UEFA Europa Conference League competition yesterday after a hard fought battle against Italian club Fiorentina. We all can agree to the fact that yesterday's final was more fierce than the UEFA Europa League final between Atalanta and Bayern Munich that was played last week. Fiorentina wanted to win the game by all means but the resilience of Olympiacos couldn't give them the chance to win the game. It's been a very impressive season for Italian teams in Europe as they've earned more European slots for next season than any other league. If Fiorentina had won the game last night, we would've seen 9 Italian clubs play in the three European competitions come next season.
Olympiacos on the other hand made history by becoming the first Greek club to win an European trophy and they did at the home of AEK Athens who happens to be one of their biggest rivals

Fiorentina have managed to reach the final for two consecutive seasons and both times they were only runners-up. I still respect La Viola who have fought as hard as possible to win the trophy, but luck really hasn't been on their side. I don't really understand the strength of Olimpacos but Fiorentina may have a squad that is slightly superior to them, but the representative from Greece has successfully created history this season in the Conference League. Congratulations to Olimpiacos!

Two consecutive seasons Fiorentina failed to get a trophy after twice reaching the Conference League final, this season Fiorentina was impressive enough to reach the final, compared to Olympiacos Of course from the beginning of the Conference League started this season Fiorentina is a candidate and favorite team to be able to win the championship trophy thanks to their experience in the final last season, while Olympiacos of course we can say they are a surprise team this season who advanced to the final with Difficult, Fiorentina in the final match appeared a little domineering, especially in the second half but unfortunately the defense and also the performance of the Olympiacos goalkeeper was quite good and was able to break every attack and shot made by the Fiorentina attacker, regardless of the controversy whether or not the goal was legitimate but what is certain is that Olympiacos deserves to be the Conference League champion this season.

Fiorentina failed to follow the steps of Atlanta who successfully won the Europa League trophy this season, but they still should be proud because next season will still play in the Conference League After ending the season in the 8th rank of this season, Fiorentina actually had a chance to play in the Europa League next season but the opportunity was forfeited because they failed to win the Conference League trophy this season.   

Congratulations to Olympiacos on winning the title, the match was very tough because both teams played very well to the extent that they couldn’t score goals until the extra time 116 minutes, Fiorentina tried to win the game but we all know that a game can also change, even before the game I was predicting the game that Fiorentina is going to win the game both there must also be a goal in those matches because it is a fine match but at the end, Olympiacos win the game, Olympiacos is one kind of team that always try their best no matter how the pressure is they will continue playing against their opponents and I like the energy in them.

So Europa League, Europa Conference League, Premier League, FA Cup, and other leagues have finished? The last one we are waiting for is the champion League which will be played on Saturday and is going to be a tough match for the week, I can’t wait to watch the final, next season Europa Conference League will be tough because the Blues ( Chelsea ) are going to perform here and they will want to win the title and I’m very sure with the squad they have they can win the title.

You will notice that both teams performed almost equally, with Olympiacos advancing by only a small margin. Because these two teams have performed for a long time, the result of the game was even, but at 116 minutes, they succeeded in an attack. But the opposing team Fiorentina tried hard but the players in the attacking department could not do it hard, because their attacks were weak to say the least. The only way to score a goal is through a counter attack.

Last season it was an English team that took the trophy to eliminate Fiorentina and they came as runner up, despite that Fiorentina didn't give up their dreams of becoming champion which make them try again and this time around they make it to the final and they were stopped by Greece teams which was a narrow win for Olympiakos, should i say its not yet time for Fiorentina to be UEFA Conference League champions, Fiorentina really fought hard to the extent of dominating the ball possession, big chances created, i know is not certain many things can happen, my favorite team to win was Fiorentina judging by their performance when playing.

It may only be the 3rd competition in Europe but it means a lot to a team like Olympiakos because finally they had just make a history by winning a trophy from a European competition for the first time and i have been watching this match and i have to says the match was boring as both teams played very cautiously because until normal time ended there was no good opportunities to scores from both teams but when entering extra time i have seen a bit change because Olympiakos was taking initiative to playing attacking and the result is El Kaabi can scored the only goal in this match

Normal time result 0-0 is really unexpected for the bettors and i am sure some people have lost their bets because most of us were bets on Fiorentina however Olympiakos journey is very fantastic because previously they are not the favourite because people are more likely to favourited Aston Villa or Fiorentina as the next champion of this competition but in fact Olympiakos even can beat these teams and became an the champion of this season but for Fiorentina they are unlucky because they can advances to the final match two times in a row but Fiorentina have failed to gets the trophy

I don't know if anyone managed to watch this game from the beginning to the end, because in my case I didn't watch this game, whenever I watch the last Conference League game I feel like I'm watching a game without much importance and I get irritated, with the Today's game I decided that I wouldn't watch it and from what I see I made a better choice because the game ended in a goalless draw which showed that it was a game without emotion, it was a boring game, I keep asking myself why does the Conference League still exist? Since the winner of this competition does not win a place in the champions league, in my opinion it is a competition without much importance

I hope that in the future this competition will at least be given an important value to the point that the winner of this competition will also have a place in the European champions league, this way it would be of great motivation for all teams that participate in this competition

Congratulations to Olympiacos FC

Fiorentina lost the Conference cup final in the 116th minute with a goal validated by VAR after 5 minutes and for this reason, Italy will not have 9 teams next year in the European cups.

It took them a really long time to determine whether the goal was valid or not due to a simple offside.

That is you.....I have always wanted whoever would win the match to win it. I was even angry that the match entered extra 30 minutes because the match was boring, and at the same time I was happy to see a late goal in the last four minutes of 120 minutes to end the match because it was boring. Ayoub El Kaabi was able to take victory home to Greece tonight as he scored the only goal which gave Greece the first European trophy since history. El Kaabi made history tonight and he is also the highest goal scorer in the competition with 11 goals in 9 matches.

Massive congratulations to Olympiacos, though I wasn't happy with their late minute goal during the die minute of extra time of 120 minutes, I wasn't also in support of fiorentina, but at that stage of the game, I would have just preferred they both played penalties and whatever comes out we all take it, that for me would have been more justifiable. I didn't see too much of extreme actions in the game as both teams were playing like equals. Congratulations Olympiacos, as this victory has shown that we still have the presence of Greece in European competitions.

The Moroccan Ayoub El Kaabi didn't had the luxury of letting the game into a penalty shootouts as he gave Olympiacos their first ever European trophy with that beautiful harder in the 116th minutes at the extra time giving his team a 1 nil lead against Florentina. Before the beginning of this match Florentina were the favourite for the game but it happened that they missed many goal chances in both half's of the game puting the Olympiacos goalkeeper in the limelight with those  delicate saves. It was really an interesting match and I can't say I wasn't entertained tonight with all of those thrilling moments. Congratulations to the Greece side!

I think the home advantage definitely helped Olympiacos. I know about their performance against Aston Villa even in England of course. But the atmosphere still makes difference. Olympiacos did their best to make their fans happy and finally did it in extra time. I guess Fiorentina weren't expecting to concede that goal in the last moments.

However I believe it's a deserved title for Olympiacos especially due to their progress in the last stages. What a pity that Fiorentina failed in the Conference League finale 2 years in a row!  

Surely, the match was so boring. I had to keep checking on it once in a while and thought it was even going to the penalties. However, after all this, Olympiacos Piraeus have made history by becoming the first Greek side to win a trophy in a European Competition.

The home advantage probably did help a bit.

Unlucky Fiorentina lost Conference Cup final second time with Olympiacos is having first ever UEFA trophy for the Greece is amazing with both teams done good job and fight till last minute of the game at the end we have better team as winner.
El Kaabi from Morocco having winner for the Olympiacos. With this result now we will have Fiorentina will be third time in this competition in next season, but this could be surely heartbroken for them as they lost this match after having hard fought into first 115 minutes of the game now just few days left into last big game of this season.

Congrats to olympiacos who has won the UEFA conference league for 2024!!! Massive victory for the Greek club side and a big success for the coach who also won the Europa league with Spanish team Sevilla

Again and again Fiorentina had to settle for runner-up in the Conference League this time after Ayoub El Kaabi's agonizing goal in the last 4 minutes ended their hopes of lifting the trophy and Fiorentina now seem to be runner-up specialists for this competition.
2 consecutive seasons they always try and 2 seasons also they have to lose in the final with a narrow score and always a painful goal because previously in the final last season also West Ham managed to win with a goal in the 90th minute.

This is obviously sad even though Fiorentina's performance from the start was quite good and in this match too they were not bad but indeed the concentration in the final minutes they always broke down with the high tension because the final made their concentration always bad at the crucial time.

Congratulations to Olympiacos who did manage to bring the trophy this season and nice try Fiorentina because after all they have worked very hard in this competition.

As expected by many people, the match ended 0-0 and went into extra time. That's how these two teams play, in the final they were very controlled and did everything they could to avoid conceding a goal. As the extra time was about to end, Olympiakos' star striker El Kaabi scored and brought the trophy to his team. It was about to go to penalties. I haven't watched such a boring final in a long time. Neither team deserved to win the cup.

Damn!

Too bad for me, I really should have just gone with Olympiakos to lift the trophy, I had that much trust in them to win but they just couldn't get it done within 90 minutes, great win for them, and first European trophy for any Greek side couldn't have come in a much better circumstance and fashion.
