I mean the whole world bet on Aston Villa to win this match but it was an embarrassing kind of loss. I have no idea how they can do this even home. Because they are normally wonderful in home matches this season. If I'm not wrong they didn't even draw in the Conference League matches they played so far also.

Olympiacos were really bad against Fenerbahçe. This is the main reason why I was shocked to see this score yesterday. Will Emery really lose to them in a season like this?

Fenerbahçe fans must be really disappointed to see this result. :/

That's what it means to do your job perfectly, like Unai Emery, when it seems that it has always been this good. Even the bookmakers forgot that Olympiacos is a much more experienced team in European competitions than Aston Villa and gave out immeasurably higher odds for Olympiacos to win and those Greek fans who believed in their team and were not afraid to place their bets were clearly able to make good money.

For Olympiacos to display such performance against Aston Villa that people think they will win the match, it is a sign that they can win the Conference League ahead of any other team because four goals in a semifinal second leg is a good goal margin.

Talking about club Brugge case, I think they have a good game today even though they couldn’t level the score against Fiorentina at home; but there are indications that they will be very serious at home which if they succeeded will lead them to finals.

I don’t have confidence in them, I will prefer Fiorentina vs Club Brugge in the finals.

I didn't see that game but did follow the scores, but good lord!! I was perplexed with that results from them, infact to win with these numbers on the road is such a good thing to see.
Aston Villa must be fatigued due to that hard game they played against Chelsea during the weekend. It must have had an effect on the players definitely.

Florentina I expected much because last season they was second runners up during this sane Competition as West Ham United went ahead to win the finals.
I feel like it's them season to win it, since a club like Aston Villa ( Unai Emery ) and his squad are currently fumbling.
During the second leg of this fixture, I'm sure that they will defend very well to make sure they make it to the finals and that would be great for the home fans to witne.

To be honest, I also thought that Aston Villa was going to win the game yesterday because Aston Villa sometimes performs in a very exciting way that you can’t imagine, but after the game started I was disappointed in Aston Villa's performance, I was told yesterday by someone that Olympiacos is also very strong opponent but I did not believe it because the way Aston Villa played in premier league game sometimes and defeat some big teams is giving me confidence that they can do well in Europa conference league.

Aston Villa is the only English team that remains in any European league and they are also about to lose to Olympiacos, the second leg of the match is going to be tough for Aston Villa, because Olympiacos is leading with two goals presently and the next match Olympiacos will be very strong because of the two goals they are leading Aston Villa with, I think let just assume that Aston Villa is out from this Europa conference league.

I was surprised as well because many people are saying the final will be between Aston Villa and Fiorentina, saying that Fiorentina still have unfinished work because last season they played against West ham in the final and they were defeated and they considered Aston villa to be the opponent since they had a good time this season, still in this era of football conclusions can not be drawn early because things can change, so let us wait for the second leg.

I consider Fiorentina winning as normal because if we checked their previous games most of the victory they secured was through home games, so i still have doubt in their qualifying to the final despite the home victory the got because Club Brugge don't joke with home matches, since the beginning of the season they only had one lose and they will not plan to have another.

Our predictions goes sideways and that's inaccurate on our ends, losses are made at the end of the Conference league matches. I blamed Unai Emery and his players for missing out on golden opportunities to put themselves in front and having terrible errors which led to goals. The visitors mastered the weak spots of Aston Villa and used it against them. Olympiacos surprised everyone tonight after winning the Villans in the first leg and we have the second leg which will be tougher for the English side.

Let's see what's going to happen, I do agree that it is not looking like it could be predicted that easily, because a lot of the games (well both) look like between teams that are quite close to each other and that's why I believe that it looks like it snot going to be all that easy to bet on these games.

This is why I stopped gambling on this, I just don't know which one will win, normally you would have a guess, like Villa would win for example, and that seems like an easy bet for most people and I am sure that a lot of people bet on that win, I get it and that will probably be what happens but I just don't feel like I know what's going to happen so I try to avoid it as much as I can since anything unexpected could happen as well.

We can say that it was a well-deserved semi-final for Olympiakos. Even though Fenerbahçe played well, they were eliminated on penalties. The young Greek goalkeeper saved 3 penalties, Livakovic did his best and saved 2 penalties, but when even players who were effective at set pieces like Tadic missed penalties, Fenerbahçe was eliminated from the semi-finals. I think Aston Villa will have the upper hand in the first match, but it would not be right to say for sure in football.

Indeed they deserve the win. I actually did not see this score line coming and even if I was to expect something like this, I would have given it to Aston Villa to lead. With the courage and determination I saw on the Greek side, Aston Villa should not expect to win them in their home because in the Conference League, home advantage still works and any team that can win away, stand a better chance to do worse at home. Aston Villa fought a good fight to have come from two goals to nil to an equalizer before Olympiakos raised the bar with their two second half goals. Their second meeting will not see this kind of goals and might likely be a none score draw.

Aston Villa just equalized the score at 2-2 through Diaby's goal in the 52nd minute. but not long after Olympiakos managed to score another goal in the 62nd minute through a penalty and execution by El Kaabi for his third goal. I think Aston Villa will have difficulty making a comeback in this match even though if you look at the statistics, Aston Villa really dominates the game compared to Olympiakos. However, Aston Villa's defense is very fragile and it is true that Olympiakos doesn't seem to want to play defensively if you look at the formation they use. They deliberately pursued victory in this match and played defensively in the second leg.

If I'm honest, I bet on Aston Villa in this match. The reason is that before the match started, Aston Villa were very favorites, in fact Aston Villa were favorites to win the UEFA Conference League title this season. Because there is just such a huge quality gap between the games they play. Aston Villa are different with Emery this season. They are much more deadly in the attacking line. I can't say Olympiacos are one of the best defensive teams among the remaining ones in the tournament too.

They have no choice except parking the bus today as a result. Even that wouldn't be enough for them in my opinion. I really like Watkins' performance recently and he will be a big threat here as well. I think he will score and Aston Villa will win by a gap of two or three goals. Wink

I also thought that everything should have turned out much better for Aston Villa, but they lose 0:2 in the first half. I would have thought that Emery prefers the Premier League, where they will most likely be able to keep their place in the Champions League zone, which is quite logical, but Aston Villa is in the semi-finals of the Conference League, actually one step before the final, and stopping now would be stupid, so apparently Olympiacos is now quite strong. There is still a second half, let's see what Emery can come up with to improve the situation.
