Fiorentina will give their best to actually lift that trophy this year and it would be about time for the Florence zone to win such a prestige competition because the passion from their fans will give them a huge advantage in 2nd leg against Brugge.

I also have confidence in Olympiakos to make a great result on home ground where the fans and the atmosphere will have a huge impact on Villa game and it's for sure that Olympiakos will score.

I don't think if Aston Villa will waste the opportunity to get the championship trophy after they are close to the trophy, Aston Villa have so far been able to continue their journey to reach the semi-finals so we can't say if they don't want the trophy just because the third level trophy of the current European competition, the Conference League is a new league presented by UEFA to provide opportunities for small teams in the world. Europe can compete in Europe at the moment, we know that so far the Champions League and also the Europa League is not an easy league for small teams to play so far, so I think the Conference League remains a strong attraction for Aston Villa because indeed right now only two teams have won it namely Roma and Westham.

Aston Villa defeat against Olympiacos was not because they were not serious, and I think we can also same assume  like  Liverpool lost to Atlanta in the Europa League, does that also mean Liverpool are not serious?, but sometimes we will see surprises that occur in every European competition match so far, although currently Aston Villa lost 2-4 on aggregate to Olympiacos does not mean they have been eliminated from the championship competition,  because surely in the second leg maybe they will rise to be able to beat Olympiakos.

I never understood that, a lot of teams do not care about it, some smaller teams from smaller nations do care about it because that's all they can win, so they do care, but teams from bigger leagues look at the rewards I suppose and just don't care about it at all, which doesn't make sense to me.

It is just another cup, why not just get it if you can. If Villa cared enough about this, they would have another cup, which isn't bad, in fact they have no cups this season, not like they could ever win the premier league anyway, and not like they got FA cup, so they are going to end the season cupless if they do not win this. And yet, they still do not care about it, which makes no sense to me. Win something useless instead of not winning anything.

Your point is valid but still this is high level cup and every team needs to give his best for this with I am also having feeling with now most chances Aston Villa is heading for the Champions League in next season so they were overconfidence and also underestimating Olympiacos so they faced this humiliating defeat now they are mostly out of the cup because they need to win by 3 goals difference in next leg game which is surely not easy task for them in these circumstances even this all is part of the game and any team can lost against any team with match day performance is most important for the win.

As mentioned any team can lost the game while they are having bad day, so same happen to Aston Villa while they were hosting Olympiacos which is now going to play second leg game at home and Greece could be not easy for the Aston Villa to have big won.

I mean, isn't that the beauty of a football game? No team is guaranteed to win and anything can happen due to various factors, from a terrible referee to some unlucky situations that occurred in a short amount of time. Aston Villa performance throughout the season has been good enough that they can beat Ajax and Lille in the Europa League this season, so it is quite surprising if we see them lose by a big score to Olympiacos in the first leg, but I think with Unai Emery experience and also the quality of the squad that Aston Villa has at the moment of course their can turn things around in the second leg later even though it might be a little difficult. 

It was match result that really did not live up to expectations, Aston Villa previously performed very well and they were expected to win the first leg at home with big score but in reality they failed.

This deficit gives Olympiacos the edge as all they need is a draw and they head straight to the finals of the competition. ⁠Olympiacos have the major advantage of the 4 to head to the finals because they also have an incredible good record at home as amongst the 4 teams. Fiorentina will have to be resilient to be able to go through as Club Brugge will be fighting real hard to be able to at least get a win, well football they say is unpredictable but in this case, I think Fiorentina will be able to head to the finals too.

 Aston Villa were in control of the game but I think them not being clinical in front of goal cost them the game. Well you can call it over already for them because they might not be able to defeat this informed Olympiacos side at home due to their excellent record while playing at home. Fiorentina on the other end were able to get the job done against Club Brugge as this puts them one leg in the finals already as they wait to seal up the job in the 2nd leg.

 ⁠Fiorentina were able to control the game and make sure they get the win and I think the red card helped them because this club brugge side didn’t look like they came to joke. Well itsup to the 2nd leg to be the major determinant of who plays in the finals and I cant wait to see Fiorentina in the finls again.

It is clear that Fiorentina and Olympiakos have great potential to advance to the final after winning the first leg match, they have already put one foot in the final. The chances of Aston Villa and Club Brugge turning things around are relatively low, especially for Aston Villa who have to chase down a 2 goal deficit. Of course we didn't expect Unai Emery squad, which was the favorite to win, to actually collapse, Olympiakos managed to break some predictions and make bettors suffer losses. I predict that if Olympiakos advances to the final and faces Fiorentina there, it is very likely that the Greek representatives will win the championship trophy this season.

Fiorentina were actually finalists last season, and the Serie A representatives definitely have a good mentality to realize their ambitions.
