The Netherlands-Ukraine match yesterday was great. It was a great match to watch. The Netherlands almost finished in a draw. Yarmolenko scored an excellent goal. If Dumfries had not scored in the 85th minute, this match would have been a draw. It was a good start for the oranges.

The Netherlands-Ukraine game was the most exciting game so far in the competition.
It's true that the Netherlands are superior, but Ukraine has always been a team that gives a lot of work to the opponent and with good players.

As expected, we were really bad against England yesterday. They did not do anything special as well, but were good enough for a comfortable win. Our inability to create any meaningful chances and to put teams under pressure has been present for a while already, we will really have to improve soon if we want to pass the group.

I will be watching the Scotland - Czech Republic game closely today, don't really know a lot about these teams and their playstyles.

We expected much better gameplay from Croatia. But they have failed. We hope for a better performance from Luka Modrich. England got an easy win. The Croatian team is quite stable. Hopefully in the next match they will correct their mistakes and perform better.

Yesterday's match between the Netherlands and Ukraine was great to watch. Even the first half, despite the fact that without goals, was very interesting. And the other half is exactly what we love football for. Lots of great moves, twists and beautiful goals. The Netherlands performed at their decent level, and Ukraine performed surprisingly well. I think that the players of coach Andrei Shevchenko, despite the defeat, can safely think about advancing to the next phase of the tournament.

Even though they (Ukraine) lost and also the Netherlands had more than 60% possession of the ball, Ukraine was able to provide a very great resistance.  I think, if the goalkeeper who played was Andriy Pyatov, then the possible outcome of the match would be different.

Andriy Pyatov showed his capacity as a reliable goalkeeper at the previous Euros.

We have three matches today, and IMO the most exciting one is going to be the third one (i.e Spain vs Sweden). Spain are one of the tournament favorites, while Sweden will be hoping for an upset. A lot of Swedish supporters talk highly about Alexander Isak and today we will get to know how good he is. As expected, odds are overwhelmingly in Spain's favor. The spread is +360 for a draw, -285 for Spain and +950 for Sweden (may vary slightly across the sportsbooks. Personally I feel that Spain is in for a big win today.

Yesterday we had an easy day... I made nice money betting on favorites! But today I think it will be a bit different! I expect at least one surprise, but I am not sure who can be that surprise! Is it Sweeden? Or maybe Slovakia can surprise Poland? And I am totally not sure what to expect from Scotland vs Czech! Tricky day...

Games of the day:

Group D: Scotland - Czech Republic
I think the Czech Republic here has a chance of winning the game. Although Scotland can create some difficulties.

Group E: Poland - Slovakia
Poland should win this game with some ease. It will be difficult to score the first goal.

Group E: Spain - Sweden
Spain must win the game. But Sweden has players who can surprise.

I placed only one bet, for now, Scotland vs Czech 1st Half Draw at 1.91! I believe they will play the slow first half, and probably without goals!
But about other bets, I am totally not sure...

Goals and emotions at the Johan Cruijff Arena. The Netherlands makes its debut in this European Championship by knocking out Ukraine. But what a struggle for the Oranje, who were brought back from 2-0 down to 2-2 in just four minutes. In the final minutes, however, it was Dumfries' shot that fixed the score at 3-2. For the national team led by Franck de Boer, without de Ligt, the best way to start their journey in group C and respond to Austria's victory over Macedonia.

Congratulations on Austria's well-deserved victory. While the match was balanced, they broke the game with the second goal. Then came the third goal. Two important events took place in this match. The first is Austria's first win at the European championships. The other is Pandev's first goal for his country in the European Championship.  Pandev scored his first goal in the tournament that Macedonia participated for the first time. We watched a good match.

Eriksen has reportedly can continue his career as football player, so this reason maybe make him retire from football. Of course this is a tough decision for him he is still young enough to be able to continue his career in both league and for national team. However, his health is the most importance, as he has a family that needs him. All the best for him

I don't know if it's very likely. A sports cardiologist in the UK has said that if Eriksen were still at a UK club, he wouldn't be allowed to play again. Obviously other countries are different, and have their own medical authorities, but I'd be surprised if he played again.

I also see it as a tough decision.

Continuing his career could be a rather foolish decision; but on another hand he will still have to do sports in order to stay healthy.
And he probably loves his job too  Wink

But like with anything else, he has to decide for himself.
I'd add that probably he has contracts still running and may be difficult to just stop; so the real decision may happen only after those contracts end.

If the doctors tell him that it is safe enough for him to play football, then I don't think that he should retire. From what I heard, he has no previous history of any cardiac issues and he is too young to have further complications. But I understand that proper diagnostics may take a few months time. The most important thing is that he should decide on the future course of action after a lot of careful thinking and planning. He should take the decision that suits him the most. He is at his peak form, and in case he decides to retire, then it will be a great loss to the Danish football.

finally a highly competitive match in this championship, Netherlands were lucky to go out wining this match, even after leading with 2 goals, Ukraine managed to equalize from counter attacks, Netherlands kept playing really offensive and it almost cost them, maybe they take a lesson from this match in the rest of the EURO.

Never expected Ukraine to give such a tough challenge to the Netherlands. I was thinking that their good old days are well over with the retirement of players such as Andriy Shevchenko and Andriy Voronin. But players such as Andriy Yarmolenko, Roman Yaremchuk and Oleksandr Zinchenko have been able to fill the vacuum. Have to say that they put up a very strong display against one of the tournament favorites, unlike their arch rivals Russia, who were pathetic against Belgium a day before.

It was best game in EURO 2020 so far without any doubts. 5 goals in second half! If in 1st half Ukraine goalkeeper Bushchan was hero, 2nd half wasn't so good for him. These 2 goals maybe wasn't his mistake, but he didn't helped there too.
And what a comeback by Ukraine and what a goal by Yarmolenko! Ukraine didn't deserved to lose today, but Netherlands had different opinion.
Yes it was really an entertaining and fun games ukraine team managed to get back after a 2 0 but in the end the experience and strength of netherland team was superior they should not be ashamed they put up quite a game and netherland team need to correct the deffensive mistakes if they want to fight for the tittle.

I hope to see a match like this again in the next match I'm not a supporter of both teams but I get tense while watching it  Cheesy
We cannot deny that experience is very useful at important moments like netherland do not everyone can do that only those who have experience

Today's parleys without problems, without surprises, it is good that football today did justice to the statistics of the game.

Although Holland won a game with just a result with a rival who gave fight.

2-2 what a comeback  Shocked.

Nederland keeps attacking and they are taking goals from counterattacks.

Shame, they can even lose now if they continue like this.
