If to draw conclusion from shots on target, ever since the match started, England only had 1 while Italy had 5, also England had 37% ball possession while Italy had 63%. This is an indication that even if any of both country will score, Italy has the highest chance, but maybe this match will still lead to penalty.
Italy had such the advantage of possession of the ball because England was more focused on defending, and they didn't attack much in the first half. Anyway, the match is over, and Donnarumma won this cup for Italy. Congrats

Wow! What a final. What penalty shootout. Pickford is hero despite loss.
After all, Italy played best football in tournament and deserved to win most.

Italy won at last, heart attack penalties. I thought Italy has lost when the second penalty was lost, but it later happened that the penalty shootout ended Italy 3 : 2 England. I think Italy deserves this.

i think it's going for penalty shots, there is no way one of them is going to score, i bet Italy are going to win the penalties, they deserve it for playing really good throughout the whole tournament, it's going bad for England and their supporters, but we'll see, in my opinion Italy have and advantage in penalties. Since the Italy has scored the goal and level the game, the pace of the game has changed. Now we have entered the Extra time and this might be the best 30 mins of attacking football from the both teams. I am enjoying the game and not betting on any team today.

At first, I thought it was an early go that was going to make the difference and the unexpected or under rated team in contrast to the Italians was going to go home with the trophy which was going to be really displeasing for me but then, Bonucci stepped up and scored an equaliser. The Italians were really sloppy on the defense in the early minutes of the first half not to have noticed L. Shaw at the back which caused them that early goal. Now, the game has got to go into extra time and the English team is out to see the might of the Italians. My best guess is, this game won't be going into penalty shootout. The English team is looking too tired already and can't have the Italian team that seems to be gaining momentum as it goes.

It is normal in many matches that the first goal scorer will be playing defensive game, but once the opponent scored back, the game will be back to normal. Possibly this game is leading to extra time, but anything can still happen before the end of 90 minutes. I am not Italian or English, but concluding who to win for now is almost not certain because I am no more certain if who would win, I have in mined before the start that Italy will win though. Southgate should not have made his team sit back after going infront, which ironically is how the Italians play. England's strength is more in attack and they could have posed far more threats if the team wasn't sitting back and hoping to scale through.
It's still all level though, with plenty of time for either side to win this before the end of possible 120 minutes of football.
Yes it was not a wise decision they let them play and they created so many chances they have a lot of fast players and it was a defence mistake their positions were not balanced which made it easier for bonuci to score and italy are still attacking if they continue like that they will score another goal. Now everything is open again and it seems that Italy is stronger and fresher. With just under 20 minutes to play, either of the two teams can win now. I think Italy will shot the second goal.
